How many indigenes of a place have Igbo settlers, residents, or even visitors ever killed in Nigeria?
It is people like you that work steadily to attract killers into Igboland in the name of tolerance.
Next thing you start to call sane people all kinds of names just to justify your insane theories.

kpota ndi oloko nye ha ala obi gi.
Arrant nonsense.
The Fulani vs farmers problem is not peculiar to Imo State, Igboland and Nigeria. We as Nigerians can all come together and create a migratory zone for them or as well tutor them on modern grazing. The only other option is an all out killing or ethnic cleansing of the nomads which you and I know is impossible.

abagoro: I still profer same solution as I did 3 years ago when Fulani clashed with Tiv. The solution is creating a grazing zone and gradual training of the Fulani to adapt to a more modern way of grazing. These clashes will continue because Fulanis believe God owns the weed and created them for animals to breed. They believe people attack them to steal their animals and not because they ruined their farms.
Nigerians generally have this problem of inability to suggest ways of solving a problem. We need a grazing zone period.

I've read so many sad stories in My life but this tops them all.the saddest part is "Mr S" loosing his job and the so called community leaders gloating about it saying "let's see how he prosecutes the case" its like beating a baby and asking it not to cry.

This man lost his 2yr old son, lost his unborn child, had his wife diagonised with hiv, lost his job and marriage all in a flash, not to talk of the amount of money the police must have "extorted" from him in other to prosecute the case.Humman beings are wicked!

PoliticsRe: Why Enugu Airport May Not Be Profitable by abagoro(m): 12:05am On Aug 10, 2013
PapaBrowne: The market potential for the airport is very huge given the amount of international commerce that happens in Nnewi, Aba and Onitsha. That alone is enough to generate profitability for the Enugu International Airport.
Fact is that unless Nigeria is divided, the Enugu or Port Harcourt Airport will not achieve its full potential. Lagos has been a traditional gateway and is not the origin of at least 80% percent of passengers that fly through it. Even me that lives in Port Harcourt flies through Lagos and so does everyone around me.

Its like travelling from Enugu and Owerri to Buguma. Most passengers will likely board Port-Harcourt bound buses in Owerri and Enugu, then another from Port -Harcourt to Buguma.

It is everywhere but the searchlight seems beamed onthe East at the moment. All the motherless babies homes are involved in this fake baby factory story. No case has ever been established against any of them because investigation ends up revealing they are operating with licenses and they don't actually impregnate the girls but help girls who would have thrown away their babies or couples who would have been unable to take care of their babies. Sometimes the babies are picked from dump sites by "good Samaritans"and taken to some of these homes.

Abagworo: I think the issue here is lack of understanding on the part of the non-Igbos. It is Agbotaen that has been dragging Edo/Bini into this Igbo discussion. I think it is best if Ikas prefer not to join the Igbo bandwagon to quietly dissociate themselves from anything Anioma. There are some people of Igala origin like Ebu and Yoruba like Ukwu Nzu who have accepted joining the Igbo bandwagon while their origin is known. Stephen Okechukwu Keshi is from the Ukwu Nzu area. It is of no use accepting a betraying brother when others are willing to work with you better. Ikas might betray the Anioma dreams and I believe it is in the interest of Anioma to hold a referendum before accepting those who are like bat that neither belong to air nor land.

PoliticsOBJ Farm To Generate 30,000 Jobs For Liberians by abagoro(op): 3:32pm On Jul 29, 2013
Monrovia –  Liberia’s Minister of Agriculture, Dr Florence Chenoweth, on Sunday said that Obasanjo Farms in Liberia would create about 30,000 job opportunities for the citizens.
Chenoweth made the observation during the dedication ceremony of Obasanjo Farms Liberia Incorporated at Gbah Foboi, Grand Cape Mount County, in Liberia.
She noted that the Liberian government had focused its attention on the agriculture sector in its efforts to create jobs for the people.
She, however, urged legislators, chiefs and superintendents from Cape Mount County to advise youths in the area to seize the opportunities presented by the new farm to become productive, while ensuring the area’s development.
Chenoweth stressed that the establishment of Obasanjo Farms would help in addressing one the salient aspects of the government’s efforts to ensure food security.
She noted that more than 40 per cent of Liberian children had stunted growth, stressing the need to solve the problem by fast-tracking the production of eggs and poultry in Liberia.
“We need to produce proteins either in beans or meat, which the cattle, goat and piggery produce, in Liberia, so as to ensure balance diets for our people’s nutrition,” she said.
Earlier, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf described President Olusegun Obasanjo as a visionary leader who was responsive to the needs of the people in critical areas.
She commended Obasanjo for his constant support for Liberia and for having faith in the future of the country.
Also speaking, Mr Daniel Atsu, the Group Managing Director of Obasanjo Holdings Limited, said that the farm was set up in anticipation of the adverse effects of global warming and climate change on poultry production in tropical Africa.
He stressed that such anticipation informed the decision of Obasanjo to develop African poultry breeds which could thrive in hot and humid environment.
Atsu said that the farm had six standard poultry houses, adding that two of them were for breeding young chicks, while the remaining four were equipped with three-tier automated layer cages.
He said that the first and second batches of about 10,000 layers had started laying eggs.
He said that the layer houses would soon be increased to 16, a capacity which would produce about 15,000 farm fresh eggs daily.
Atsu said that the farm would offer unlimited opportunities to farmers to grow corn, soybeans or supply dried or smoked fish in large quantities, saying that the farm was situated on 125 acres of land. (NAN)

Deprofessional: Honestly Governor Amaechi has not been able to handle this whole incidence the way I had wanted him to even after my advice to him.

During my school days I had a problem with one of my lecturers on issues that bordered on principle. I was so sure that my lecturer was wrong. The problem became so open that another lecturer from a different department called me into his office and made one statement. He said, 'a good soldier is a person who fights and lives to fight again'. I left his office, went straight to my room, and pondered on what this lecturer said.

I understood the message and a word, they said is enough for the wise. I soft pedaled, created window for reconciliation and the matter died. I graduated in record time.

Amaechi, no matter how powerful he is can never win a fight against GEJ. Not when he is still the President of this country. Amaechi is dancing 'surugede' without knowing that it is the dance of the spirit.

Amaechi is being deceived by opposition party and the North.

Let see how this ends. But honestly, Amaechi will be at the loosing end. But again their is still time to make amends.
Amaechi is not fighting Jonathan. Amaechi is defending himself against Jonathan and his wife.

And if I may ask; Why was the video and pics of Amaechi invading the premises of the state house of assembly edited off by the compromised press? So, without the invasion of the assembly by a supposedly state governor, the mysterious 27 pro-Amaechi legislators couldn't overpower 5 anti-Amaechi lawmakers? how many lawmakers really sat to impeach Amachree?

Lady Macbeth makes her first appearance with late in scene five of the first act when she learns in a letter from her husband that three witches have prophesied his future as King. When King Duncan becomes her overnight guest, Lady Macbeth seizes the opportunity to effect his murder. Aware her husband's temperament is "too full o' the milk of human kindness" for committing a regicide, she plots the details of the murder, then, countering her husband's arguments and reminding him that he first broached the matter, she belittles his courage and manhood, finally winning him to her designs.

The King retires after a night of feasting. Lady Macbeth drugs his attendants and lays daggers ready for the commission of the crime. Macbeth kills the sleeping King while Lady Macbeth waits nearby. When he brings the daggers from the King's room, his Lady orders him to return them to the scene of the crime. He refuses. She carries the daggers to the room and smears the drugged attendants with blood. The couple retire to wash their hands.

Following the murder of King Duncan, Lady Macbeth's role in the plot diminishes. When Duncan's sons flee the land in fear for their own lives, Macbeth is appointed King. Without consulting his Queen, Macbeth plots other murders in order to secure his throne, and, at a royal banquet, the Queen is forced to dismiss her guests when Macbeth hallucinates. In her last appearance, she sleepwalks in profound torment. She dies off-stage, with suicide being suggested as its cause when Malcolm declares that she died by "self and violent hands."[2]

In the First Folio, the only source for the play, she is never referred to as "Lady Macbeth", but variously as "Macbeth's wife", "Macbeth's lady", or just "lady".

The Rivers assembly has 32 members and before Monday’s sitting, 27 had declared loyalty for Gov. Chibuike Amaechi, while 5 had been strongly opposed. Today’s sitting was convened to receive presentation by the state governor on amendments to the 2013 budget. The House was also reportedly supposed to pass a vote of no confidence on the state commissioner of police, Mbu Joseph.
Eight members of the House were present earlier in the day, including Otelemaba Amachree, the speaker; and Chidi Lloyd, the House leader. The five lawmakers opposed to the governor were also present.
During the exchange of pleasantries, trouble started when Michael Chinda went close to Chidi Lloyd and the two lawmakers reportedly exchanged words leading to Chinda punching Lloyd. Cameras in the assembly which beamed to the offices showed that Chidi Lloyd was repeatedly punched by Evans and the tripod used to mount a camera was also used freely on him, but he did not retaliate, at least initially.
When the three pro-Amaechi lawmakers, saw that they were overpowered in the House, they fled the premises. Meanwhile some thugs came into the chambers and were reportedly asking, “Where is the speaker? Where is the speaker?” By then the speaker, as well as Lloyd (who sustained some injuries) and the third pro-Amaechi lawmaker Azubuike Njoku, had left the chambers.
Lloyd told journalists reportedly from a sick bed that “Hon Evans Bipi came to me in full glare and rained punches on me. As his leader, I didn’t respond. Then he reached for the tripod and used it freely on me together with Hon. Chinda.”

Shortly afterwards, Kelechi Wogu brought out a mace (not the usual House mace, said an eyewitness) and Evans Bipi was made speaker pro tempore to superintend over the sitting. Immediately the sitting began, Hon. Martins Amaehule moved a motion for the impeachment of the speaker for ineptitude. It was carried by the five members allegedly present.
Shortly afterwards, Hon. Michael Chinda nominated Evans Bipi as speaker. His motion was carried by the five present and they immediately addressed the press, with Bipi thanking Rivers people for their solidarity and assuring them that henceforth there will be robust representation by the assembly.
But that was not the end of the matter.
The three lawmakers had gone to regroup and came back to the assembly together with other members of the assembly loyal to the governor. The governor also came along with them. At this time, the governor had called for protection from soldiers, even though Hon. Chidi Lloyd had written through the clerk of the House to the police commissioner for the intervention of the police. The police headquarters is situated just opposite the state assembly complex in Moscow Road, Port Harcourt.
The commissioner of police, Mbu Joseph, addressed the press this afternoon and confirmed that Hon. Lloyd had indeed requested the intervention of the police, and wondered why people were accusing the police of giving protection to the anti-Amaechi group when it was Lloyd who called for the police.
Mbu however said that when his men arrived, the assembly complex had been cordoned off by soldiers. He said, “Then the governor called me and said he was coming to the assembly and he complained that there was no police cover in the complex. Then I told him ‘but you have filled everywhere with security men from other places.’ Shortly after I heard a convoy approaching and saw the governor entering the complex through my window. Later I was told he was there while serious fighting was going on in the complex, and later he came out.”
The serious fighting which the commissioner spoke about, occurred when the governor arrived and there was a free for all between legislators loyal to both the pro and the anti Amaechi legislators as well as thugs in the complex. Assembly staff were ordered to vacate. One of the workers who spoke with The Scoop said, “We had to run for our lives. Thugs have taken over.”
Inside the complex, there was serious fighting. Chidi Lloyd who was earlier the victim, turned to an aggressor. He was caught on camera hitting Kelechi Wogu with the mace and chasing him through the hallowed chambers. The complex was a mess as computers, microphones and other items were vandalised by the legislators, soldiers and thugs.
After the fight, the 27 lawmakers loyal to the governor sat and the deputy governor, Tele Ikuru, of the state came and presented an amendment to the state’s 2013 budget, after which the House adjourned indefinitely. By this time, the governor had left the assembly. The deputy governor claimed in a statement that as he left the complex, thugs attacked and vandalised vehicles in his convoy. The Scoop cannot verify this.
Meanwhile, Evans Bipi, who was elected as speaker by his faction, has claimed that 15 members of the assembly voted for the impeachment of the speaker. Now, by law, 11 members must be present before a quorum can be formed for a sitting. Some eyewitnesses told The Scoop that only 8 members were present, which decreased to 5 after the first clash. However Bipi claimed that there were 25 members present, out of which 15 voted for the impeachment of the speaker.
Even if the claims of Bipi are accepted, Section 92, subsection 2(c) of the constitution says that, “The speaker or deputy speaker of the House of Assembly shall vacate his office if he is removed from office by a resolution of House of Assembly by votes of not less than two-third majority of members of the House.”
Since the Rivers assembly comprises of 32 members, it means that the impeachment of Otelemaba Dan Amachree as speaker could have only been possible with the support of 22 members, which is two-third. Bipi claimed that he got 15, which falls short of 22 by 7 members.
Meanwhile the Rivers state executive of the PDP led by Obuah has congratulated Evans Bipi over his emergence as speaker; while a faction led by the ousted chairman, G. U Ake has debunked news that Bipi is the new speaker, insisting that Amachree remains speaker.
Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this piece described Evans Bipi as a brother of the first lady. It has now been corrected. Bipi is a townsman but is not related to the first lady.

So many questions unanswered?
You guys know nothing about what happened and seem too hasty in judgement. Lloyd was on a revenge mission. Are you aware that Bipi personally damaged the Governors vehicle and Amaechi told his security not to touch him?

He knows this time around; even if he survives this one; he would come out seriously bruised and bloodied. Forget all the nonsense you read in the papers .. Amaechi has used Rivers money to compromise the press; and the National Assembly. Even Channels TV, I am disappionted . We all saw the stupid videos that were shown; they just had to show something and still there was no way they could lie that Ameachi wasn't present. The Press were given monies to edit the videos and remove Amaechi's visual. We all saw how he over saw the beating of lawmakers who had a right to impeach the speaker. Amaechi knew the speaker was to be impeached on that day not by the five as claimed in the press. There were over 18 Law makers present when the impeachment happened but the press ignored all that because Amaechi gave them money.
More videos will come out in the near future to put people like you to shame. Don't you know there are many Rivers people here? We are aware of the 17billion distributed on 9th of July to youths of various LGAs and we collected it but still support Amaechi. I was there yesterday at the Government house and Amaechi did not give me a dime. CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by abagoro(m): 8:05am On Jul 11, 2013
vicenzo: You are making a mistake, that's why you are confused.

You can't compare Ukwuani with Igbo language because, igbo language is but an artificial construct, made by picking out words from different igbo dialects and some of these dialects can be difficult for an igbo who is not those igbo tribes/towns, no igbo town speaks igbo language, because there are actually no igbos in igbo land. What we have in igboland are ngwa, asa, idemili, nkanu, egbema, ndoki, bende, umuahia, etc people. These are the tribes/towns that united to form the conglomerate known as igbo.

Every igbo tribe speaks it's dialect. The ngwa, asa, nsukka, idemili, nkanu, aro, ezza, izzi, etc, all speak their dialects, for example,an izzi man don't speak igbo language in his home town in ebonyi state,he speaks izzi, but when he meets an ngwa man from abia, the izzi man would have to communicate to ngwa man in igbo language,as the ngwa man will find it difficult to understant izzi dialect, and the izzi would find it difficult to understand ngwa.

Every igbo tribe understands igbo language which we call igbo izugbe, igbo izugbe or central igbo was created to enable all igbo tribes to communicate with each other.

The ukwuani people like you rightly observed understands igbo izugbe or central igbo, same thing is applicable to all other igbo tribes, but just like an ezza man would struggle to understand ukwuani,so will an ukwuani struggle to understand ezza, but both the ukwuani and ezza would easily understand igbo language,as igbo language is but an artificial construct made to allow any two igbo tribe( in this scenario, ezza and ukwuani), to communicate easily.

So, it would be wrong to compare ukwuani with igbolanguage, the right approach would be to compare ukwuani and ezza,as both of them, are dialects of an artifical construct, called igbo language.
I agree that Standard Igbo was constructed but that was done for literary purposes but spoken central Igbo has evolved over the years on its own and we usually give away an element of our various dialects when speaking the evolved Igbo.

Ukwuani is more like a geographical expression used by Western Igbos to differentiate their three geographical areas. The South is Ukwuani, the North Enuani and the Riverine is Ndi Oshimili. Ukwuani + Ndi Oshimili = Ndokwa. They were once collectively called Ika.

PoliticsJonathan Masterminded October 1 Bombing - Okah Insists by abagoro(op): 11:31pm On Jul 10, 2013
Mr. Henry Okah who is standing trial in South African magistrate court, yesterday, told the court that President Goodluck Jonathan  and his aides organized  the October 1, 2010 bomb attacks in Abuja  in a desperate political strategy to demonize political opponents, and win popular sympathy ahead of the 2011 elections.

Henry Okah, the detained leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), who is being blamed for the 2010 Independence Day bomb that killed at least 10 people with many more injured, told a South African court the attacks were sponsored by President Goodluck Jonathan.

However,  the federal government who has linked MEND leader’s brother, Charles Okah and four others to the 2010 Independence Day twin bombing has also arraigned them before a Federal High Court in Abuja for the acts of terrorism and other treasonable offences.

In a 194 page affidavit deposed to at a South African court, the MEND leader, Henry Okah yesterday said that the president and those working for him, had engineered similar attacks prior to October 1 bombing in March 2010.

Meanwhile, President Goodluck Jonathan has faulted the claims of Okah before a South African court.

Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, the president described Okah’s claims as not only false, but lacking factual foundation.

A statement made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday night reads in part: “The Presidency categorically affirms that these allegations are false in their entirety and without any factual foundation.

As the case of Mr. Okah’s involvement in the plotting and execution of terrorist attacks in Nigeria is already before a court of competent jurisdiction in South Africa, the Presidency does not intend to say anymore on the matter for now and will, in accordance with due process and international law, make a full representation on the matter to the court when the trial opens.”
