musicwriter:You're simply confused. In the 1500s -1600s many Africans were brought to Russia as agricultural slaves before the Czar converted them to serfs in the late 1600s and early 1700s. Serfs many of whom were blacks, represented forced labor with some able to gain freedom/ ability to own lands after serving their Russian lords. By 1860, serfs were primarily abolished for the white folks/Europeans but many privately held blacks in serfdom because quiote frankly the economic opportunities for blacks just wasn't as promising as the whites. Your problem is that you don't do proper research before typing blah blah blah online! |
musicwriter:When Africa was "the Ukraine of the West" from the 1400's to 1960's, Russia was against the West and the enslavement and colonialism of Africa. Russia had everything to join in the enslavement of Africa but they stayed away. China too. Your own words betray you! If you knew about serfs and serfdom then you would know slavery, forced labor are all one and the same. In fact it still exists today. Black Africans forced to serve their Russian lords by working on farms, houss etc. It's okay to admit your ignorance, just learn from it......KAPEESH! |
musicwriter:You're delusional and the crap you wrote is better served to those who don't know history. Go and read about serfs and serfdom and then come back and repeat the crap you wrote. |
Violence can happen anywhere, na only God dey save person. The only difference between 9ja and America/Europe is that you can nget medical services quickly and still have a chance of surviving. For 9ja if bullet no kill you, the waiting and police report will definitely.....SMH! |
SugarGirl44:No there's no need to drag her, we are talking about exposing the evil. If her friends, neighbors and those around her blasted the abuse all over social media and filed police report, trust me the evil guy would have been at alert and caution his actions. No man wants to be labeled as a wife beater, now imagine being labeled one on social media, your workplace, anywhere you go even at family meetings. |
Aystarz:All that one na excuses, where there's a will, there's a way. People get sick all the time, people have family emergencies all the time, no job is so insane that they won't allow you a day off when faced with some of these situations. We are Nigerians, there is always a way! |
Useless reporters and bloggers, where una dey when the woman was still alive? Useless friends and neighbors, where was the comments and blasting when the woman was still alive? Make no one give me that crap that there was nothing anyone could do, this useless society is the reason why people are appreciated when they are no more rather than when they were alive. No person gets abused physically over and over without people seeing the signs of the abuse, if you ever saw a mark on her face, swollen skin or bruises, you are just as culpable for not reporting it on social media or to the police. Nobody gives a flip about what you do now, medicine after death, RUBBISH! |
Greyworld:My point is not about that, it is when you said if he PERFORMS WELL......LMAO.....Who dash monkey facecap? What makes you think he would perform well? Was he sleeping for 7 years? Black folks we like to give people 2nd, 3rd and even 4th chances, we need to wake up! Person talk say he is a continuation of Buhari and you still dey type 'if he performs well', guy stop it! |
Everybody except for the USA has learned from Afghanistan, mindlessly sending weapons with no accountability might not be the best thing, those weapons could end up in Putin's hand as this zelensky guy sooner or later won't be able to stay defiant. |
Crucialgem:Your enemies dey bring bomb and AK47, you are bringing motivational speech and kumbaya, ogbeni better wake up! Nigeria needs serious actions not mere words, talk is cheap, e go better e go better since 1960, at what popint do we say f*ck it and start removing these bloody fools from society? |
SmartPolician:He has no point! Forget the words and focus on the hypocrisy, why is it that whenever a Northerner is on the throne, these same Northerners make excuses and become philosophical but let it be a Southerner or a Christian and you'll see opposite reactions, why? The hallmark of the black community especially Nigerian one has laways been hypocrisy, hypocrisy based on tribe, religion, bigotry, status etc. What is even worse is that people like you are always giving people like him a way out, benefit of doubt rather than calling a spade a spade. In sane countries, coming out to support a failure of a president, a president's actions that has directly and indirectly resulted in reducing many family to poverty would be considered a clownish move, let's do better! |
Greyworld:If this if that blah blah blah........Has he been sleeping for 7 years? Abi which kind rubbish talk be this! |
bonnyhope:He is also a favorite of mine but what I don't like is that we hear nothing from him unless it's election time. a true patriot would be active every year. Morally he looks better than the rest but he is just not active enough. |
Angelfrost:There's no saint anywhere and no miracle saviour to save Nigeria, the difference between the two is not morales but action. Let's even forget Buhari's failure for a second, what would Osibanjo do differently? Nigeria's problems is not for the gentle or meek of heart, it takes a madman to save this mad nation, I wish we can vote for other candidates(Obi) but we all know how it goes, if you don't rally behind one of the popular candidate your vote is as good as void. |
It's bleaching, it's called the laws of diminishing returns. I've got one aunty like that now in her 50s, you would think she was older than my grandfather who is close to 90. God save us from ourselves! |
Engaged.......Marriage.......Baby/No Baby......Divorce........Repeat..... ![]() |
wowmenow:Hmmm.....Even at that, the man should have just left her, I prefer he disgraced her publicly than beating her and ending her life. Now the guy has finished himself as well and the public will forever label him as a BEAST. |
The problem we have nowadays is when you think of toxic relationships it is almost always seen from the angle of the man being at fault. The man is too controlling, he is violent, he is stingy, he is a drunkard, he sleeps around etc. Everything is lumped together whereby the traditional role of men being protective cannot be separated from men being beasts. When you flip the script and talk about women being controlling, manipulative and at times violent, we hardly hear anyone bat an eye because it does not fit the narrative. Men are supposed to be the beast, women are supposed to be on the receiving end, it shouldn't be reversed. Finally, I would like to make an important distinction, couples argue, couples fight(verbally/physically), these things happen whether we like it or not but the inability to differientate between a simple fight and constant abuse is why we have many women and at times men meeting their untimely death. When we say leave toxic relationships, let's be specific please, if everyone got up and left at the first sign of toxicity or their perception of toxicity such as when he shouts, when she nags, when he cheats, when she calls him a deadbeat and so on then what's the point of marriage? |
Classyuniquebae:Those who use the third definition are mixing up racism and social status. The first two definitions were spot on but the last one has nothing to do with racism. The third definition also exists in Africa, it exists in Nigeria, in Lagos, In Abuja etc., if we accept that it is racism then surely that means blacks are being racists against blacks, if we accept that it is a social class/status(Elitism) then it don't matter if you're black, white, purple, gold or blue, some people will grant or deny you certain privileges based on association(Alumnis, Illuminati, Politicians, EKO Club, Keggites etc). |
Heathrow44:It's a radio station, a private establishment, things like cctv and alarm should be standard. How can you spend millions to build a business and be nonchalant about security. Abeg we no dey like hear truth in this country, instead of you to focus on the message, you dey attack messenger....Be better! |
jackcanfield:Spoken like a true coward, no wonder this country is the way it is. We love dem oppressors don't we . In fact, Putin is the saint here and everyone is just jealous or crazy. Guy enough of this comedy..... Go to bed ![]() |
jackcanfield:You're funny, they've already ditched NATO, even NATO already stated they are not joining so what now is the problem? Oh let me guess, this isn't really about protecting Ukraine but Putin's agenda to bring back the territories lost by the Soviet Union. Today it is Ukraine, tomorrow Georgia, Latvia and Moldova.....Baba is clinging on to old glory. |
Toks2008:Same Nigerians that voted for Bubu TWICE? My guy I admire your confidence in Nigerians ![]() |
Princedapace:Stop embarrassing your lineage, go back to my initial comment and see whether USA and NATO na the same thing......Don't be unfortunate in life my man, you're out of your league! |
Nigerialabalaba:Try educate yourself and read more about wealthy black Americans that grew up from the slump. Some grew up in Compton, some on the Southside of Chicago and others Bronx NY. If you read their own articles you would see the same description( Vibrant but dangerous aka ghetto) but it sounds like there's something deeper going on here with you. Rather than celebrate a Nigerian making it big, you would rather focus on the negatives......SHAME! |
Idaytesj29:Nah fam, NATO members are obligated to defend one another, it is the very foundation of the organization. An attack on one is an attack on all. |
Eneye4me:Wetin concern Iraq for this conversation? Abi you want NATO to invade Ukraine ![]() |
Princedapace:Like I told you before check your grammar and overall comprehension skill, go and read about United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973. Because Libya already passed through one civil war, the resolution was adopted in case another one broke out. The implementation of the no fly zone was made possible by that resolution, you are right a no fly zone requires military enforcement but what you don't understand is that unless the U.N security council votes for it, it won't be possible. Do you know which countries make up the U.N security council? Because you keep blabbing about the USA this USA that but even Russia and China are part of that council. I would love to keep educating your misguided ass but it would be a waste of my time and energy so PEACE! |
Princedapace:You're misinformed, USA never led any war in Libya, please use facts rather than emotional jargon when conversing online. In case you really wanted to know, before the USA can lead any war, Congress must approve it. Furthermore, arming rebels/providing weapons to them is not the same as leading a war so correct your grammar please! Finally, the US and NATO supplied weapons and other forms of assistance to Ukraine, same thing they did for Libyan rebels, the rest is up to Ukraine. |
MangekyoAlt:Oga sit your sarcastic butt down, how Ukraine wan win war against Thanos . They can delay and stall but eventually unless outside countries help, Ukraine will fall. |
Rastaramsey:Wetin you want USA to do? Fight Russia? Ukraine is not NATO hence USA is under zero obligation to defend them. |
