When it comes to police brutality, let no American even utter a word! It's almostas bad in the USA as it is in 9ja. Especially for a nigga! You dumdums need to stop emphasizing the importance of these foreign celebs they are almost as useless as our local yeyebrities angry angry angry.

[s]Most guys get rejected after falling for these signs.[/s] The best thing is to let her do the wooing. I have actually fallen for these signs before, but will never do so again. My current girlfriend actually made her intentions known to me, and I took it up from there because I liked her too. It's best when a girl likes a guy more than he likes her.
Delete your first sentence.....Change it to, MOST GUYS WITH NOTHING TO OFFER!

Doesn't mean they are interested some are just bored and looking for someone to pass the time with
Either way, your success rate increases when you see these signs. In the old days, men had to stop girls on the street to do the toasting, nowadays the girls make it easier by leaving subtle and non subtle hints....Dem don change the game, ji ma sun!

I swear most Nairalanders are slowpokes! Women have been asking guys out since the time of Adam & Eve. Y'all focusing on words rather than action. A girl winks at you, a girl goes out of her way to make sure you noticed her, she keeps asking her friends and your friends about you. She enjoys your company, she glows up anytime she sees you. These and more are ways women ask guys out nowadays, whether it is in real life or DMs on social media, girls don upgrade, sit down there dey wait for words grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Buhari Loses 100K Followers On Twitter As Reno Omokri Starts #unfollowbuhari by abbey621(m): 11:06pm On Oct 10, 2020
Just goes to show how misplaced our priorities are in this country. You lots really place overemphasis on social media and followers. Buhari is not Trump, he does not give a flip about Twitter or followers. Almost everyone knows where Aso Rock is located yet for some reason we prefer to show our displeasure using social media and celebrity bandwagons. God bless the Egyptian uprising and the Libyan movement, when enough is enough, we know what needs to be done. Choke these politicians at home, make their workplace and home a living hell, only then can we talk about revolution....For now enjoy your pointless banter online!

We all know what's going on here, the usual looting and corruption by most public officials. The only differnce here is that his fellow looters have called a meeting and decided it's time to expose him. Trust me if he settled the right people, this would die down easily. No be 9ja? 9ja wey we all know.....Some big wigs in the Lagos assembly are trying to force a coup in order to remove one looter and install another....Either way, the citizens still gets screwed cheesy cheesy cheesy cry cry

This looks more like a case of aggrieved business partners than looting. Two stakeholders with difference of opinion or business strategy. The court will settle it no need to make a spectacle of it.....Now back to more serious matter...#EndSARS!

Very good decision, no talent is worth having your label synonymous with domestic violence or other vices. The young man should use this as a learning curve and change his ways. Sometimes it takes a heavy loss financially or physically before we shed our animalistic tendencies and walk the right path.

Does he have any proof? Nothing to do with how old he is, he could get it wrong. Old people can be wrong too.

If he cannot proof it then it is all sheer assumptions.
Have you properly requested proof? You're accusing him of assumptions yet you're guilty of the same, someone said he was poisoned that he almost died, surely he went to the hospital and they confirmed what was wrong. When people here hear the word poison, we automatically think of rela poison not knowing bad food, undercooked food or poor hygiene can all cause food poisoning. He might be right that this came from his staff and it does not necessarily mean the staff had bad intentions, the staff might just be irresponsible just like majority of Nigerians.

SARS is a reflection of the average Nigerian mentality. Give the average Nigerian small power and he/she would look for a way to exploit his/her fellow Nigerians. Even if SARS gets banned, another group will come up and do the same thing all over again. A never ending show of shame!

Maybe this will save more lives, now his supporters can see how dangerous the virus is and start wearing mask. Trump will be fine, he's got the best care in the world but for most of his supporters, they won't even be able to get an hospital bed when they become sick so prevention is better than cure!

90% of those tracks won't feature on the main game modes, ultimate team! EA needs to bring back customizable soundtracks so that we can dance to Naira Marley while chopping 6 goals from a kid in Ukraine and breaking our first two controllers grin grin grin
Family › Re: Left Us. After Eight Years, He's Back And Had Nothing by abbey621(m):
Let's leave him for a minute, his case is still loading with his village people. Woman, what have you been doing for 8 years? Do you mean you still reside in your family home? You didn't marry? No serious relationship? If you had moved on with your life, there would be no need of you entertaining the devil.

Look at it this way, people make mistakes, it is conceivable that a guy ran away for a year or maybe 2 or 3 but woman 8 freaking years! Come on woman, you're smarter than that! If you use your child as an excuse to settle down with him then be prepared for him to leave once again when his village people strarts calling. The guy never gave a flip about that child so don't even entertain the thought, the major factor here should be you! Why haven't you moved on? Are you deformed? Do you have a mental illness? Evaluate yourself and determine why you've not been able to move on and then look at the guy and decide for yourself are you guys a match made in heaven or hell? I don talk too much grin grin grin
Family › Re: Nigerian Men Talk About Vasectomies by abbey621(m): 5:32am On Sep 23, 2020
When humans try to play God it usually does not end well. Unless the procedure is reversible, it just doesn't make sense! We have seen cases of a man losing his entire family in one accident, we have seen cases of a woman leaving her man alone while taking the children amd we have seen young couples get a divorce and man wants to remarry, who will marry a man that can't give her a child?

In the end, human beings are just too unpredictable, as a man will you put yourself at a permanent disadvantage all in the name of family planning? As a woman should you agree to tube tying knowing your husband can leave you for a younger version and start a new family? I admire the courage of those men but this decision is not for the faint of heart grin grin grin.

Read the article properly, it was a period in time when it was still legal. Fifa did not ban the act till after 2015, the deal occurred before then.

More than half of the politicians in this country, including the President, CANNOT survive without periodic travels to the UK, USA and other European countries either for medical issues, their children schools or other matters not unconnected with their spouses, businesses or holidays.

Periodic visits to the US, UK and other European countries are as indispensable to them as water is to the fish.

If the EU and UK were to go the route of the US in not just threatening but actually slamming Visa Ban and asset seizure on election riggers here both in INEC, the security agencies (the two most notorious electoral bandits in Nigeria) and amongst the politicians and the judiciary headed by the aeroplane-driving Chief Justice of Nigeria and the election petition tribunal judges, all of whom constitute the biggest electoral headache ailing this country, trust me, we will witness significant changes in our polity. These sanctions should also be extended to their families.
[s]
There can be no true democracy without a credible electoral process where the people are allowed to chose their leaders.[/s]

Repeatedly, Africans, not just Nigerians, have proven that indeed, we are incapable of running our affairs without outside help.

A shame, isn't it?
The people have chosen their leaders since 1999, the problem here is that majority of Nigerians are tribalistic, ignorant bigots who would rather vote for their tribe than to vote for character. They would rather vote for party than to vote for a technorat/visionary. We can continue blaming governments, institutions etc but until we look deep in the mirror and realize the architect of our troubles is looking right back at us!

Majority of Nigerians are broke, majority of foreigners would not explore beyond Lagos and Abuja, so tell me how will such a beautiful place attract more patronage? Let the resort repackage and cater to the affluent, offer vacation packages like free flights to and out of the resort, celebrity/influencer marketing etc. What's the use of buried gold if no one knows where it is buried? grin grin grin

Three things are working against you mr. detective:

1. You're from the SouthEast, the northerners have vowed never to support anything alive or dead from that region, the SW are 50/50, many don't know whether to embrace you or to punch you in the balls.

2. You want to run under APC, we all know unless you're 60 and above, you can't win the APC presidential nomination, this is the party where youths are basically houseboys.

3. You've never ran for political office, not even your state grassroot politics. So tell us, who's your godfather? How many billions have you saved, because you can ask Sowore and co., e no be beans to run for president grin grin

Let's stop making excuses, Iyanmu was a bad candidate, someone that Osho called a thief a couple of years ago is now supposed to be a saint. This was not even a battle of APC against PDP but one of a known thief against a foolish/stubborn but capable incumbent. Instead of campaigning on Obaseki's failures(if any) and what Iyanmu plans on bringing to the table(NOTHING), they chose to throw the weight of the party name thinking Edo people no get sense. This victory will serve as a blueprint for other states, let's start using our brain. Let's stop voting for APC or PDP and start voting based on the character and capability of the candidates, it's time the animals in the zoo be set FREE!

Romance › Re: Please Advice. My Babe Got Arrested by abbey621(m): 3:24pm On Sep 17, 2020
Police does not have the right to detain anyone for more than 48 hours without charging the person to court. As far as we can tell, there's no direct evidence towards poisoning or foul play. Don't come on Nairaland and waste more time, get a decent lawyer and also write to the commissioner of police. Track down most of the people that ate at the restaurant that day and see if anyone is willing to testify or write a written statement that they ate the same food and nothing happened. Hope the restaurant has CCTV camera so that we can have more direct evidence, the video would show the man taking pills and other customers eating the same food, this should be more than enough to win the case if presented to court.

STOP WASTING TIME & GET BUSY, ANY LAWYER THAT CANNOT HAVE HER RELEASED ON BAIL WITHIN 48 HOURS IS INCOMPETENT, GET BUSY BEFORE THEY MANIPULATE EVIDENCE & FORCE A FALSE CONFESSION!

Not true, just because we are of the same race doesnt not mean they can not play each other dirty.

Atleast in the music industry, many blacks own labels and they still play their fellow blacks dirty

ask migos, ask blueface
That's why I said maybe because it is a possibility but this is about probability and not certainty. A bad person is a bad person regardless of race but when black players/musicians/actors become owners they tend to sympatize more with minorities. There would always be exceptions but the majority will always be more beneficial. What Kanye is talking about deals with owning more of the industry, larger representation. We can't complain about white supremacy when our black athletes, actors, businessmen and women refuse to take a bigger role in the industry/community, strenght in number, that's the true vision of BLACK LIVES MATTER!

Black owners will still do shit to black players
Maybe but when players see owners that identify with their culture, their struggles and background, they tend to feel safer. Someone like Lebron James owning an NBA team after he's done playing is almost a guarantee that he fully understands what players are going through. Someone like Tyler Perry surely understands the danagers of slave contracts to actors and actresses.
Celebrities › Re: Kanye West Urinates On Grammy, Declares 'Black Masters Matter' by abbey621(m): 9:35pm On Sep 16, 2020
This is too deep for the average Nigerian minds. KAnye knows what he is saying but his delivery is what makes it seem like insanity. Sports like the NBA and NFL need more black owners, the players are 80%. Music artiste should educate themselves on the contracts they sign, the music label can basically enslave them for years and there's nothing anybody can do about it, just look at Birdman and Lil Wayne. People are quick to spot physical slavery but when it comes to mental slavery and systematic oppression, we dismiss every possible sign....WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Majority of the big companies filed for bankruptcy, everybody with big houses and mortgages abandoned their houses and went back to apartments, millions lost their jobs because companies downsized or folded and Wall street had to be bailed out. Same mofos that refused to learn from 2008 have now found themselves in the same mess in 2020, esusu or no esusu, the worst is yet to come!
