Oh yea so that gives them the right to destroy things? I guess in the future when one group of people feel aggrieved they can just go to any pipeline, government facility or asset and blow it up! In a sane society, once you blow up anything or damage government or private property you are labeled as a terrorist and dealt with accordingly, let's remove sentiments from our thinking please!

SMH.... remind me when Jonathan negotiated with terrorist. Abi yar'adua that started amnesty is also a fool?.... There are some things that needed not be be said, but an obvious solution. Guess when the economy stands at -50% GDP, you will know.
Exactly, they were both big fools! They negotiated with them but had no oversight over the success of the program. Their leaders kept getting richer and fatter while the average militant or Niger-Deltan kept getting poorer. There were no developments in the land, no visible difference in the lives of the common citizen. You want to negotiate with terrorist, then we should have negotiated with Boko Haram, MEND and any other future groups which threatens our economy, keep negotiating until the debt becomes unbearable!

I would have been sympathetic to the cause of the Niger-Delta Avengers if they were genuine and sincere! They had almost 6 years to champion their cause under GEJ but instead allowed their representatives to amass huge amount of money with little to no development to the Niger-Delta.These fools believe that they can hold this administration ransom just like they did under GEJ but they've got another thing coming! The average Niger-Deltan cannot afford food or clean water but Tompolo and other leaders in that area are swimming in wealth, who holds them accountable? It's easy to blame Northerners and Buhari and forget about the evil right in front of you, it's so easy!

This is a very simple case, there must surely be witnesses that can testify that a customer dropped the car off for repair, there should also be receipt/document with signatures showing the name, address and phone number of the customer. A lawyer would have the case thrown out of court in less than 10 minutes!

I find the guy's story hard to believe, not because it is farfetched but based on the simple fact that they were dating. I could believe a one night stand or a professional doing something like that for money but a girlfriend? I don't think so! 2,000 Naira to 50,000 Naira is such a huge difference and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have offered her 2000 if he gave her 50,000 on most visit. Evidence#2: You claimed she drank vodka and even took photos of the can, this looks like a preemptive move in order to justify yourself. Are you saying you left the cans there for several days? Or your good mind just wanted to take pix of smashed cans? Final evidence: You went to a police station without dropping anything, I don catch you now! Don't worry my guy, just be truthful, the girl trespassed and you treat her f*ck up SIMPLE grin grin grin
Politics › Re: Block Sale Of Warplanes To Nigeria - New York Times Tells Obama by abbey621(m): 7:16pm On May 19, 2016
The level of ignorance on Nairaland is truly amazing at times, people blame Buhari for defaming Nigerians abroad, they blamed Cameron for calling the country fantastically corrupt yet are quick to sign a petition against their president and country for military aide. It's truly amazing! Whether you are APC, PDP or XYZ, there's nothing greater than patriotism, you all keep blaming the government for your failures and your pathetic lives but let me ask a simple question, who or what makes up the government or politicians? Are they not Nigerians? The average Nigerian would steal if he knew there were little to no chances of him/her being caught! The average Nigerian would rather bribe or take shortcuts if it would result in unfair advantage over his/her peers. The average Nigerian would watch his/her father, mother, aunty, uncle, brother or sister continue to steal money at a company or a government post and keep silent as long as that person is taking good care of him/her. A lot of you are graduates out there but school won't teach you morals, education doesn't mean you are enlightened and success doesn't always mean you are wise. Blame Buhari all you want but before that, take a good look in the mirror and see your "FANTASTICALLY CORRUPT" image!

consider the hostels advice if you want a long term income

even in uniUyo they have a shortage of housing for 18,000 students
I will never invest in a place I have no trusted representation, I'm only interested in three areas, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Abuja, the hostel idea looks appealing but I'll need someone with the experience and a well formatted business plan.

I really find it hard to see any permutation in which PDP can regain power in 2019. As bad as APC and Buhari has been so far, the people are still not willing to forgive 15 years of gross incompetence! Perhaps a name change or a formation of a new group would help huh huh

Beating a woman for refusing to have sex with you is only going to end up killing your libido cos the woman's sex drive would reduce drastically! A man has way better options than to result to violence, merely leaving the house for a few days or week almost always does the trick. Worse comes to worst, you'll divorce the woman, why stress yourself? The energy spent beating her could have been used having a one night stand with a side chic, life is simple jaare!

Some bastaards will never be satisfied! If the girls remained missing they would say PMB is a dullard and if they are found they would shout it was all a ploy! This is the main issue with some Nigerians, watching while your lives continue to crumble piece by piece without ever progressing but would gladly criticize on the internet as long as it can't be traced back to them...cowards! The same set of critics will be here shouting next year, in 2018 and in 2019 because rather than use their head and make their lives better, they would prefer to come up with phrases like 'dullard, body odor, gwara chewing, baba one chance'......SICK!

I don't understand how some of you think, is it the job of government to unite labor unions? Speaking of workers, we all know NLC is a toothless bulldog that has lost its relevancy since the departure of Oshiomole. Government will speak to any faction that seems to get more support from the masses, whether it's Ajero or not. It is not the government's duties to play counselor and/or therapists!

Walekum assalam! Gone are the days of religious leaders staying out of politics and politicians staying out of religious matters. When you look at Muslim dominated countries around the world we can see the influence from the leaders is very strong. The Grand Imams, the Ayatollahs they all influence people, whether we like it or not. Only Allah knows what is right or not....Ma'salam

I am muslim first of all.

Point is this, there is no religious hierarchy like the pope to be called 'the most important muslim figure in the world'. He is an honored man, a leader of a sacred mosque, a scholar who occupies an important position of knowledge but the title was embellished and that is what i point out.
I agree to an extent but we are talking about influence here, it's like saying the Ayatollah does not have influence among Shias where in fact he can cause countries to go to war with just one statement!

All this ambassador rubbish, my queston is: do people buy products simply because they are endorsed by their favorite artistes?
YES! Marketing has evolved beyond traditional forms, nowadays to be relevant products and services must be endorsed by celebrities/sport figures. Let's not look at it just from the Nigerian perspective but as a global phenomenon!
Politics › Re: Sheikh Muhammad Ahmed el-Tayeb Is In Nigeria, Set To Meet Buhari by abbey621(m): 12:49pm On May 18, 2016
tbaba1234:
He is not the highest Islamic figure in the world. Muslims do not that kind of hierarchy. He is the grand Imam of Al Ahzar. That is enough honour.
Stop saying what you don't know! I'm not here to argue with you, all this information is publicly available on the internet! There is hierarchy in Islam, it has existed since the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). They probably should have rephrased the title better such as " One of the top figures in Islam" but don't underestimate the influence of the Grand Imam, like I said before he is equivalent to the Grand Ayatollah(Marja) both are considered very powerful in the Islamic community!

These blogs will not kill someone...

He is a great guy though
They are correct to say that considering the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar is a Sunni Title given to the highest authority in Sunni Islam and since Sunnis represent the majority of the Islamic population out there, the description is correct! You might also know that the Shia's version is the Grand Ayatollah.

I can run any of these two Active and Passive investment ideas with you....

1. ACTIVE BUSINESS

Large scale Exportation of Agro-allied products:

Currently the price per tonnage of charcoal in the international market is 260-300$. Imagine sending like 5 containers across the border and how much turnover you will gain from it.

To set up:
8 - 10 million naira is more than enough to float an export company rake in constant massive income from different products available for export.
This is very interesting I would definitely need to know more about it including the risks involved.

Food for thought:
You can never get it wrong with food business, therefore this line of business and company is very sustainable even into the next 100 years. I'm thinking of getting a franchise of KFC but I heard Nigerians don't like soft chicken but hard ones grin

2. PASSIVE BUSINESS

[s]You buy 2 plots of land here in Lokoja and two 3-story buildings containing 12 blocks of flat each and 10 single rooms self-contained. From my rough estimate here, you are sure of constant 4 million naira every year for as long as you want.

Profit margin is low, yeah! But you own the land and landed property never depreciates rather it always appreciate. Fact!
[/s] Not going outside of Lagos!
Make your choice wisely bro!

wink
