God forbid any man I know make this comment in real life. I'd do more than call him a fool. I'll disown him.

I don't frolick with ediots raised by ediots.

If your father wasn't resetting your mother with one or two slaps for breakfast every morning, you wouldn't have come out with that bump on your head where your brain is meant to be.
Thanks for confirming that you insult any man that comes your way, I'm sure your father must be very proud grin grin grin grin

You know you're a fool don't you?

A slap or two as if you're talking about some littling who's your slave. What right do you have to slap your fellow human being? Would a slap or two fix you when you misbehave? Or you think you can't annoy your wife some day. Does she have the right to slap you to reset you?

All these stupid boys who have no respect for women. angry
You see why I said some of you deserve a slap or two? I'm sure this is how you call your boyfriend, husband, brother or father a fool too so I'm not surprised!

At the bolded, some People behave like animals, it has nothing to do with the gender of the person, some men behave like animals too, it goes both ways. If your partner always provokes you, the best solution is too quit the relationship. You think hitting a woman makes you less of a womanlinesshuh You actually become a womanliness when you hit a woman cos it shows you lack self control but the strength of a man is when he can control himself.
I agree not just women, some humans behave like animals! You are still getting me wrong, violence will not solve most marital issues but to say there are no reasons a man should ever hit his wife is to live in denial. The same goes for women towards their man in a moment of rage. Take a look at advanced societies where a woman can hit a man and the woman is celebrated while the man is laughed at but when a man does the same he is demonized and the woman shown sympathy, this single behavior has resulted in men becoming inferior as the years went by, in an attempt to protect women, the laws have actually castrated men. This has resulted in men watching on for years and years until one day just snapping and doing the unthinkable. This is what I meant by men turning into p*ssies! In the Nigerian context we don't have such a problem, men are still in control and even though some men abuse this control, the majority of men still cherish their wives and rarely get violent with her but to say a situation would never arise where a slap or two is dished out from the husband or even the wife is just plain ridiculous! I've given you examples, this is real life and not a fairy tale, shit happens in marriages and relationships, there's a clear difference between an abusive/violent spouse and a random act of aggression coming from one's spouse!

How many American women have you known or dated to say Nigerian women behave better. Women are the same all over the world. There is no excuse to beating a woman. Been married for over 20 years and never touch my wife. Violence is not the answer to marital problems.
I've dated over 5 American women, I have uncles, cousins and brothers that have dated American women, I also have the experiences from friends, colleagues and neighbors regarding American women. Women are not the same all over the world, society and culture influences the way most people behave! Now congratulations on being married for 20 years without any violence but most people are not as lucky as you, no one is saying violence is the answer but to pretend as if there are no situations that would warrant couples to get aggressive towards each other is to continue living in El-dorado!

And I've also dated a girl that would curse at me and throw things at me at the slightest provocation, the last straw was when she smashed my car's windscreen. Most guys have a plan not to ever hit a woman until they are left with no choice. We all like to behave like Westerners and be all civil but some women are animals and for such women no amount of dialogue will do! Why do you think the average Nigerian women is better behaved than their American equals? Nigerian men refuse to be p*ssies!

So, i know a fula when i see one and i am telling you that the ones i saw were fula boys not Kanuri(Boko Haram) or Hausa. Besides some were wearing their traditional attires and towards the direction they made their escape was Namas (cows).
My friend I not only have friends that are Fulanis, I also have families living in Fulani dominated areas. Anyone can dress like a Fulani and if you think for a minute there's a convincing way to differentiate between herdsmen and Boko Haram then I'd like to smoke what you are smoking!

Everyone has a plan, until they get hit in the jaw----Mike Tyson

The quote above explains why the word never should not be used! I've seen many advocates with the same philosophy as yourself end up eating their words when they met a spouse or girl/boyfriend much more aggressive!

E.g- For a man, his wife held him by the neck and refused to let go of his shirt in the middle of the street, such a man would he continue to bear the disgrace or would he become aggressive?

E.g- A wife slapped her mother-in-law in the presence of her husband, would such a man ask his mother to turn the other cheek or would he use the law of Moses?

E.g- A man after working 10plus hours, comes home to find out his kids were left alone all day and are starving, the wife comes back around 11pm sweaty and hair messed up, the human nature of the man would cause him to do what?

E.g- A man brought another woman onto his matrimonial bed, the wife caught them. Would the wife get aggressive or just walk away?

E.g- A man left home for a trip of 2 days and didn't bother to call or come back for 2 months, wife received a call from a friend that she saw her husband at one hotel not too far, wife gets to the hotel and finds husband with a mistress. Such a wife should walk away right? grin grin grin

There's always 3 sides to a story. Her side, his side and the truth! I've learned that issues of domestic violence are rarely black and white but due to the nature of men(Superior strength), we should learn to walk away. Now don't get me wrong, a slap or two would fix most women but when it comes to the point of spilling blood and head injuries, it's just not worth it! I've always said this, it's much more easier to get a divorce than to stick with a woman that gives you high blood pressure!

This is a difficult story with no easy answer. Unfortunately this is Nigeria where the police and detectives are incompetent and the man is presumably guilty until proven innocent. Most people asking why did he run are right to ask! If the man did not have any hidden agenda, the first response on seeing policemen at your house would be to become curious and find out why they were there! By running it shows guilt, when you mix that with a previous presumption of guilt by law enforcement, you get a murder case!

Only fools would believe they are actually herdsmen. Herdsmen don't go around carrying AK47 and other assault rifles, herdsmen value their cows more than anything, they won't leave their cows behind and run away. Isn't it a coincidence that Boko Haram attacks are suddenly became non-existent when herdsmen attacks began? Anyways whether it's herdsmen or Boko Haram they should be dealt with by all means necessary!

Forex trading is not a fraud/scam, if it were then it wouldn't exist in advanced countries! Now listen, most Nigerians think they can go for tutorial 3 weeks to 3 months and become experts in Forex, this is a very stupid idea! Even the experts still make a loss at some point but the key is to ensure your winnings outweighs your losses by a ratio of at least 2:1. I've been trading Forex since 2008 and I still don't consider myself as an expert. While in 9ja, I traded with a measly $500, needless to say I lost it very quickly. I didn't start making a profit till I invested more in myself, I traveled out and God exposed me to financial markets way beyond Forex, I started doing well and ultimately traded everything from Forex to Oil and other commodities. I now have a profit to loss margin of 3.25 to 1 and this has net me a total profit of over 14,000 dollars from a 3000 dollar investment. What many of the critics failed to realize is that you need a very fast and stable internet connection and computer device to trade Forex. You must also have technical and analytical skills and bee able to react to news spontaneously! Forex is not for everyone and is definitely not a get rich quick scheme, do not use your feeding money to trade Forex! If you are not willing to lose all your money, DO NOT TRADE FOREX!!!!!

Mister, SHUT UP!!!! What's the correlation between other security outfit and the police here?

I'm talking about the structural composition of the Nigeria police system.

A state commissioner of police will take orders from the IG before the governor of his state.

Matter of fucking fact, commissioners of police aren't directly under their governors. Fact!!!

The idea of weak governor and strong governor is unknown to bureaucracy and law.

Blame it on the weak structure of the federalism we practice. But the truth is the NIGERIA police is a single unit of command and it doesn't branch off to the governor's prerogative.
Bureaucracy and law? Your ignorance is almost amusing! I'm not arguing with you that the police and other armed forces are controlled by the Federal government but what I argue with is your believe that a State Governor does not have a say in the efficiency of the police or security forces in his or her state. This is 9ja and law is often misinterpreted so I can excuse your ignorance but if you paid much more attention to history than laws, you would clearly see evidence of my dispute:

E.g- Tinubu vs OBJ
Ameachi vs Jonathan
Fashola vs Jonathan

Once again I'm not arguing with you on the fact that the Federal government controls the police, I'm arguing on the extent of that control. You make it seem like Buhari can just order the police to assassinate any State Governor at his will!!!!!!!!

Another misstatement! Governor pass Governor, we have strong Governors and weak ones, some are able to command their security forces including the police and others just yield to the command of the Federal government. In Lagos alone there are security forces outside of the police that are directed by the Governor, this is why I said your initial statement showed ignorance. I don't know whether to laugh or give you an e-slap! There are two things confirmed by your post.

1: That most people on Nairaland especially the popular/controversial ones are kids mainly under 21.

2: That most university students are clueless!

For sake of humanity , I'll only discuss point #2.

See you mentioned all the reasons why a GPA of 0.7 is bad but I don't see you accepting the blame. As long as you keep thinking you are in school to please your father or family, you'll never be able to fulfill your true potential. Now listen up kid, a semester/term is not enough to kill your dreams. What matters most from here on now is that you make a conscious decision to remove all distractions from your life including limiting social media. Be ready to lose that popularity status on Nairaland so you might gain the popularity among your peers. At your age, you shouldn't have any problem assimilating, so I suggest you join study groups and find a very strong tutor. Be ready to spend some money and dedicate long hours towards your study and if you happen to unfortunately come across a sadist lecturer or two then be ready to do whatever it takes to pass that course including fetching water, buying lunch and or settling him/her. My final advice to you is learn to accept failure and learn from it. The most successful people in the history of the world so far failed many times, some are even dropouts, so keep ya' head up!
Education › Re: Why You May End Up Not Practising The Course You Studied In School by abbey621(m): 8:15pm On May 09, 2016
University education is a scam that many are still falling prey! An average Nigerian spends over 800,000 Naira to get a university education, while in the USA they spend an average of over 10 million and there's still unemployment, most of them graduate with student loans they'll never be able to pay off and a life of regrets. The way forward is to train yourself or your child to be a doer instead of just a thinker. In the Nigerian context, there'll never be enough jobs to cater for all the graduates so the best thing to do is to make a path for yourself where there is none! That 800k if invested wisely can create a source of income much more valuable than the rewards of a university education in Nigeria, now now don't get me wrong, education is a positive but we must move away from the mentality that after 4 to 6 years of university education there's a job out there waiting for us. Sometimes we must make our own jobs, at times we must be our own boss and create our own industries. A secondary school graduate that learns how to sow and start his or her own tailoring business with 800k or a secondary graduate with the same amount who started a block and cement business would soon realize that the profits from those businesses is enough to send him/herself to school while maintaining a stable income. This is the ugly truth about the Nigerian educational and economical system, the average graduate will not make over 800k in 10 years without some unethical practices, it's sad but it's the truth. For such a graduate when will mummy and daddy start eating the fruit of their labor?

No doubt about it you are a landlord and you are pinched by this post. Well, point you truly made that you build house as a form of business. It"s just that you definitely forgot to mention that it is most JUST that you consider a long time and short time businesses - whereas people like you argue that the mobile telecommunications companies made their profit within the shortest period of time of the commencement of business in Nigeria. you go ahead to call them names: cheats! thieves! and you are quick to add that the government is shortchanging the citizen. By your action, what do we call you, Mr. Landlord?

The likes of you inherit the so called properties and become worst than the dead real owner. So I asked, did you purchase building materials at the rate it is sold at present for a house built before you were born. My advice for you is that you should remember to take along with you to your grave the house rent receipt and the agreement which always form your reasons for sending a tenant out to take in another
You have no basis to argue on,for what you wrote above is pure trash! Even if a landlord inherited a house, he or she still has every right to choose the type of tenant and the price of rent each year. If you read carefully what you commented on,you would notice some of the points which tags landlords who locks tenants door and those who do not maintain their house as irresponsible! As long as a landlord behaves professionally and does the necessary maintenance, I see no reason why tenants would frown at rent increases. It's either you pay or pack out!!! From your frustrations it is clear you've never built a thing in your life, so you do not know the effort and costs associated with building a house, my advice to you is to pray to God and work harder, maybe one day you too can become a landlord!

Lock your door with Padlock: No responsible landlord will padlock your door before rent is due, it's only thugs that would engage in such an act!

Leech: Again a landlord worth anything would not borrow from tenants, familiarity breeds contempt!

Hike rents: Do you know how much it costs to build a house? If the landlord increases rent then it is justified. You keep forgetting people rent out their houses to make profit not to make friends!

Greed: I'm glad you said some because if someone can struggle to gather enough money to build a house, I'm sure such a person would want to maintain it to the best of his/her abilities!

Intrude: You have every rights to your privacy but there are certain instances where a landlord can intrude. For example: smoking Indian hemp, domestic violence, filth and so on.

Out of many nonsense comes some sense! The senator could be faulted for not fully understanding the plight of the people in the Southern region but he does give many a perspective to why these people might be killing. Fulanis are largely uneducated, most are nomadic in nature and I agree they might fight back if threatened but not with AK47, not with fire bombs. I still maintain these people are not ordinary herdsmen but Boko Haram in disguise! I agree with many people here, it's high time the citizens arm themselves and defend their land. Let's forget about the foolish government and security forces, let's bring back the vigilante groups and arm them, this is the only solution to stopping Boko Haram from creeping further into the South!
