Dreamweaver was useful about 5 to 10 years ago but the world has moved beyond that, I have to agree with one of the posters, Dreamweaver was geared towards graphics designers and less towards advanced coding. Even though Dreamweaver gives you the ability to complete front end and back end, it is still limited in its capabilities. In order to prove this limitation, try using Dreamweaver for heavy HTML5 AND CSS3 coding and see how it works out. I personally prefer Sublime Text over Dreamweaver but that's just me grin grin grin

Are people blind or just plain moronic? A notorious Arm robber, well known for his callous ways and yet easily accepted into a prestigious church such as Redeem. Do we even have a government in this country? What would it cost to locate this guy and deliver justice? People here talking about forgiveness, mercy and other sentimental crap when the real question we should be asking is why/how is this man still roaming freely? Most of you might still be too young to remember the chaos this guy and his crew caused but just a little taste, imagine third mainland bridge as long as it is, now imagine robbers bringing traffic to a stand still and carting away luxury vehicles on a 5 hour operation. No police intervention, many lives lost and so much more. SHAME!

The caveat with that is, as a US citizen and even Green Card holder, living and working outside the US, you are required by the US law to file and pay taxes each year. These taxes might be minimal, but they will treat you as a US tax payer, then you are allow to include lots of deductions eg tax already paid to your host country, you may even qualify for foreign earned income exclusion depending on agreements between the US and your host country.

However, certain incomes (e.g. investment, lottery winnings, etc) that might not be taxable (or given tax grace period) in your host country or where the tax rates are different (lower) compare to the US', might be subject to taxes (or additional tax) when you file your US tax returns as a foreign resident.

This double taxation, is one of the major reason many US citizens residing abroad are renouncing their US citizenship.

This presents an interest problem for many Nigeria politicians that are US citizens e.g. the INEC chairman and others that are US Green Card holders. It will be interesting to know how much they filed with the US IRS as their worldwide income versus what they filed in Nigeria. Since most will want to be more transparent when filing US taxes than with Nigeria. Any Opposition Research team worth their billing in Nigeria can dig these things up and use them against current and future politicians.....And if it comes up that, they do not file US taxes, that is a huge problem...
You are right again, although most politicians and business owners have legal representations when it comes to taxes, most of them end up paying little to no taxes because there are major loopholes within the U.S tax system when it comes to deductible expenses and son on: e.g. rental property, loss of business equipment, disaster relief and so on. In the real sense of things, I wonder why any right thinking politician from Nigeria would want to maintain U.S residency or citizenship, it seems pointless to me!

Getting US citizen requires the showing of residency in the US, but once you get your your US citizen, you are not required to maintain any US residency.

Though, you can loss your US naturalized citizenship, but it is not easy to loss it and can only be ordered by a Judge...Also, it is hard to find anyone whose US citizenship was revoked , Judges are not willing to grant that request even in extreme cases. People that have so far lost their US citizenship did so voluntarily even at that, any doubt is usually resolved in their favor.
You are right, I just looked it up, the law was modified some years ago and U.S citizens need not maintain residency in the U.S....very good info thanks!

Dis one na new analysis o. So some laws in the books with citations are not applicable because as you stated, they are not official. Chai, come and see American wonder!
Brother cool down! You quoted the Oath taken during U.S citizenship which is subject to interpretation, I provided you a link to the state department which does the interpretation. In case you don't know what the state department is, you might try using google to look them up, when it comes to immigration in the United States of america, they run things. For your enjoyment, here's the link again:

This is not my opinion but fact, now unless you work for the United state's judiciary or you know someone who does, don't argue!

Well let me inform you of the applicable law in the USA:

Look up the law: 8 C.F.R. Part 337 (2008) .

The oath below speaks for itself . You are required to take this oath before becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen, its the last thing you do before a judge "welcomes you to America"

The current oath is as follows:
I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God.

You people need to read the oath carefully before taking it. So Oga, if you are a naturalized US citizen you renounced your Nigerian citizenship. It is left to the Nigerian supreme court to state otherwise. Until then..........
Forget about the Oath, it holds no weight in regards to dual citizenship, it's just as if saying the pledge of allegiance of the United States. The link I provided you is directly from the state department which recognizes dual citizenship. That is the official law when it comes to immigration matters and for the record no person has ever lost U.S citizenship for maintaining dual citizenship. Furthermore if the oath was to be taken seriously, then all naturalized U.S citizens would have renounced their former citizenship meaning you can't travel to Nigeria or any other country with another passport, now since we know that to be false there's no need arguing here. The problem with Nigerians such as yourself is you take the law word for word not knowing that 9/10th of the law is subject to interpretation!

No one is disputing the legality of dual citizenship. The issue at hand is renunciation of Nigeria citizenship in a foreign court such as the USA. Read the rest of my posts on the thread.
Please read the document carefully, you are never required to renounce your citizenship before becoming a U.S citizen rather you are required to swear allegiance to the United State and that country. Simply put, you must follow the laws of both countries.

For your convenience I have copied part of the document below:

A U.S. national may acquire foreign nationality by marriage, or a person naturalized as a U.S. national may not lose the nationality of the country of birth. U.S. law does not mention dual nationality or require a person to choose one nationality or another. Also, a person who is automatically granted another nationality does not risk losing U.S. nationality. However, a person who acquires a foreign nationality by applying for it may lose U.S. nationality. In order to lose U.S. nationality, the law requires that the person must apply for the foreign nationality voluntarily, by free choice, and with the intention to give up U.S. nationality.
Looking at the bold part of the quote, I think you'll agree with me that Nigerian born citizens are not required to forego their citizenship in order to become U.S citizens.

Indeed.

If your parents are Americans and you were born in Israel for example, you are automatically a dual citizen of both countries. Similarly if your parents are Nigerians and you were born in the USA, you are automatically a Nigerian Citizen. In both of these cases, no renounciation of citizenship of the USA is required. The USA and Nigeria will recognize your dual citizenship without constitutional issues.

However, if born a Nigerian, you now apply for citizenship in the USA via naturalization, you will be required to renounce your citizenship as part of the procedure. These are the "dual citizens" whose eligibility to hold office has not yet been determined....as I see it. I stand corrected if someone can offer a contrary opinion which supports a different state of being.
You are incorrect! Take a look at the link below directly from the state department in regards to dual citizenship:

We discussed this issue back in 2011 in this thread. I'd recommed that users go through that thread.

My take, in simple terms: if you have not renounced your Nigerian citizenship, then as a Nigerian, you are still entitled to all rights constitutionally bestowed on Nigerian citizens including the right to hold public offices.

Thus dual citizens who have not renounced their Nigerian citizenships are eligible to hold office. Now for the kicker: renounciation of your existing citizenship is required of naturalized citizens of the USA. That means if you were born a Nigerian citizen and you become a naturalized citizen of the USA, you have effectively renounced your Nigerian citizenship.

Now, the supreme court can hold that Nigerian citizenship can only be renounced in a Nigerian court, if they do, then dual citizens of the USA are home free. Until then, the jury is still out.
I think you are mistaken. The constitution of the United States recognizes dual citizenship, so does Nigeria. In order to fully renounce your Nigerian citizenship, an affidavit must be sworn with a Nigerian court. Now keep in mind U.S citizenship requires maintaining a residence in the U.S for a certain amount of time and can be easily revoked, whereas Nigerian citizenship requires no such thing and hence people are able to manipulate the system whenever issues like these are discussed within the judicial system.

Women by all means feel free to pursue happiness and if going after wealthy men makes you happy then be prepared for whatever comes with it. Forget about equality and all those feminist crap, wealthy men don't have time for negotiations, money speaks and women listen! Times without numbers we see women complaining about men not treating them fairly or as equals but how could we? When you women turn yourselves into leeches! If money equals happiness to women then wealthy couples wouldn't have problems but in reality women want it all: money, attention, fabulous sex, faithful guy, God fearing guy, good looking guy, freedom and so on, now tell me who's really confused, men or women?

Delaying sexual activity may "create health risks by impeding development of the emotional, cognitive, and interpersonal skills that are crucial to satisfactory sexual functioning and general well-being.

In simpler terms, it leads to poor bed skills.

Fact #2: hormonal imbalance, women produce a lot of hormones called estrogen, the more sex you have, the more estrogen, this hormone is very important in women with benefits such as shinny hair and softer skin.

There are a lot more but laziness dey worry me.... grin grin

Not only is this ridiculous but I can't seem to find any scientific evidence that girls who say NO to sex are more valuable than girls who've had their fair share. Back in school, a lot of girls did nasty stuff and fast forward 7 to 8 years later, most of those girls are married. Speaking personally, when we remove religious sentiments, I can see no positive value in being in a relationship with someone without sex, not only is it biologically dangerous, it can also bring about undue tension and jealousy. Here's another shocker, did you guys know that the longer a woman stays a virgin the more health complications they risk when they finally have sex. In light of this and other reasons known to me, I actually value girls with some experience than those so called virgins or women of virtue!
Romance › Re: Reasons Why Every Young Ambitious Struggling Man Should Forget 'Love' by abbey621(m): 2:02pm On May 16, 2015
I completely disagree with the OP, sometimes love is what pushes us beyond our limitations. Nigerians really need to leave this mentality of men are providers, women are receivers. It no longer works that way, young men should not forget about love but rather they should seek the type of woman that can bring something to the table. If you are constantly providing for a woman, she becomes a liability and the relationship becomes parasitic but if such a woman can contribute positively to your life either financially, emotionally or physically then it's a win-win situation and you'll see her as an asset. Consider a case of two lovers, one is blind and the other is deaf, if the relationship is to work out, they must be able to assist each other, they become one, inseparable and efficient. This is the ideal relationship, all other type of relationships comes at a price with some more costly than others. Money without love is pointless yet love without money is limited and only a wise person can balance the two!

Strictly speaking she is right. Call history merely tells I have been communicating with a certain person. It may mean we are talking often but that does not mean I'm screwing the person.

Again if I apologize and say I can explain that remains a blank cheque. A lady can apologize and say I was in constant communication cos of xyz, sorry I should have told you. Still does not mean she is shagging anyone.

PS: I like to give people the benefit of doubt.
Stop being so ignorant! Read the details again and you'll see chat history, so the guy definitely knows what he is talking about. Chat history especially on phones like Blackberry saves all your chats for a certain time period so there's no explanation.

There are a lot of graduates out there that were brilliant in school but were victimized. The question now is can she turn that first class into a successful career or will she go the way of so many graduates whose brilliance were tamed by the unrepentant job market in Nigeria?

All these one type fits all advice never works when it comes to the typical 9ja relationships. People often forget that intelligence is completely different from being smart. Some of the most intelligent people in the world are also the most manipulated, just because you know to recover Data from a computer or mobile device, doesn't mean you'll develop the initiative to do it. I've always preferred smart women to the intelligent ones because smart women are visionaries. The intelligent ones are not flexible, they operate solely on methodology and are often focused on rights and equality instead of fairness. While the smart ones are willing to compromise, they don't always aim for equality but fairness. They study their partner and realize that the best way to get him or her to do something is by appealing to their pathos (Emotional side). The truth is no matter how intelligent you think you are, you can still be manipulated.

O ye of little faith, I know many responsible guys who have turned liability into asset. All relationships are risky but the best ones brings out the best in one another. Back in 100 level to 200 level I couldn't get any girl because I was very shy and uncomfortable with my appearance, if I continued that way I might have found it very difficult to develop a relationship with any woman. What a bunch of crap! Firstly, a pastor does not need to go online in order to find a wife, the Holy spirit is sufficient. Next, girl number one cannot want him back unless the issue with her people has been resolved, her people must give consent otherwise it's a dead end. Finally, this is Africa, we all know how difficult it is for a single man to marry a woman with kids, at the same time we all know how crazy things can get when your in-laws don't like you, let the pastor pray towards it and give the relationships more time. In time, one or both of the girls will disqualify themselves!
