Gerrard59: If he was informed and bailed out, his fault. However, if he was not informed, he did the right thing. Why should he be responsible for another man's or even men's responsibility? The decent thing to do is to tell the woman he won't stand for it and leave! You don't encourage them to eat and even grab takeaways and then leave them stranded. Kids are involved here don't behave like an animal! |

okuta007: Guy you sure say na America you dey stay or u are one of the Nigerian men that flash money and spend recklessly on American women when them no ask you ? Look dude, i have been in the US almost 3 decades and I can tell you for free, American women do not like men that open their wallets and buy them food on a first date - even when they are brazen to ask for it, DONT DO IT - it is a test to know if you are confident or someone who is desperate - meet and buy them a cup of coffee if it’s cold season and if it’s summer, get them a glass of liquor or soft drink or any drink and talk about your relationship goals and if they want to - you can have a second date some other time and get to know each other better - most times, if she is into u, she will be the one to tell you she can’t wait to see u again
But if you open your wallet and start to buy buy food for them on the first date - 90% chances you will never see that lady again because she will conclude that’s how u buy food for every woman u meet and u will come across as very desperate - and thy hate to feel you are a weak man - so Oga, that behavior of yours irritates American women and na mugu wey no get game dey do that rubbish here, especially ugly naija big belle men wey tow tow dey hard and yet they still will not get layed 🤣
Imagine you take 10 ladies out and spend $150 on them on a date in a year before you find that relationship that is worth it, that’s $1,500 in dating losses for the year, you will have to file tax losses for that amount with IRS at the end of the year 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t be a simp bro, make the woman buy u food instead and see how she go carry her tow tow dey porshu u everyday 😀 I am very sorry that your 30 years in America gave you this point of view, it clearly shows you've not made it beyond basic survival. Back when I was in the dating game, $150 dinner ain't nothing, I've spent 1200 on fine dinning at an upscale restaurant, over 3k on a cruise. I've even dated women who spent on me, from first class tickets to Belize and so on. See my friend, when you make real money in America, $150 dinners would be like buying chewing gum......What you see as simp behavior, might just be basic human decency.....DON'T OVERTHINK IT |

BackFromBalablu: the man ought to have paid if had the money bt the woman shouldn't blame him too. He wasn't prepared. And thank goodness you said your own kids. They are yours! Not someone elses and that's one the point few others are stating, the kids ain't his. Am nt in support though whether you've got kids or not, when i am to go on a date with you. Please tell me before hand so i'd be prepared and not make a fool of myself when the waiter comes to collect the bills. That's just that. He was encouraging them to eat and even grab take away pack! Does not sound like someone that was not prepared financially. I know life is hard but damn, kids mehn, KIDS! Whether yours or not, there's no way you toast a woman with kids, agree on a date and then do something so cold because she brought her kids....That's that immature bullshit men nowadays need to be done with, don't mess with kids mehn, that shit ain't cute! |

BackFromBalablu: She made a mistake let's accept it. Why bring ur whole kids to a date? If she didn't tell him earlier b4 bringing her kids, sorry to say she needs to pay for them. Either he knows about them or not. Cause literally i had made a budget for just u and i and you went along and brought nt 1 nt 2 bt 4 kids! Without my consent. What am i to you? Charity? Nah never! Your kid bills are all on you. What if all i had on me was just for the both of us? Well we all mature differently, she was wrong but a mature man won't do that to those kids. That money might break someone like you but someone like me it's nothing but snack money. I spend more than that when I take my kids to Chuck E Cheese so I get where you're coming from |

Do you know how much of fake money George Floyd took to store that caused his death and almost caused a race riot in America? which led to properties worth tens of millions of dollars destroyed and was so pivotal in a US President losing re-election amidst a global pandemic ?
$20 ……… and you say someone should just pay $150 and move on - if George Floyd had $150 on him on that day of his death he probably would still be alive today and Donald Trump will still be US President today Been living in America for almost 15 years now, even $10 no be beans money but if you want to date and be a man, affording a $150 dinner once a month or two is expected.....How can you take care of a woman when you can't even afford basic dinner at a restaurant? |

Nigeria can't be fixed by one man, make una wake up from slumber! What we expect of Tinubu is to fix one or two things and set up a system of transition like Lagos. Top 5 agenda for any president should be:
1. Sound fiscal economic policies to encourage local production and foreign investments, WHICH ULTIMATELY LEADS TO MORE JOBS! 2. Electricity o, stable electricity, without it no economy can prosper! 3. State police/ local security group.....It is clear insecurity is a huge hinderance to prosperity, let each state control its security. 4. Once and for all be done with subsidy, this is a scam that has gone on far too long! 5. Without adequate and efficient refineries, we are just deceiving ourselves. Create public and private partnerships aimed at ending this madness of exporting crude oil and importing petrol.....MADNESS! |

Yes we had option but the fraudulent INEC chairman had on several national n international media forum announced that the option that would be used was realtime transmission n that there would be no excuse or going back on that. The only thing is that Nigeria is a doomed nation else the victims won't be celebrating their oppressors. Well the INEC chairman is not God, even the most advanced countries are susceptible to technological or human errors. This is why the Electoral Act made the provision for alternate processing. Again ask yourself without using sentiments, strictly speaking on legality, was manual processing illegal? Phantom233: whatever it means bro...the major issues is that till date over 9000 polling units results haven't been uploaded on the BVAS yet because INEC can't match the original figures from those units with what they announced, same thing they tried to do in adamawa. Secondly the issues of realtime transmission of results have to be decided cos that's where the whole controversy lies. Why would results being uploaded on BVAS matter more than iREV? Further, real time transmission is not an issue since the Electoral Act allows for manual processing in case of technological failure. The case is so easy to dismiss I'm sure the lawyers are laughing on both sides. |

Even big companies have their warehouse/production lines in Asian countries because the labor is cheaper compared to Europe or the USA. The first definition completely contradicts your argument. If I said buy me 5 bread, 2 fried eggs and 1 yam with 25% of each going to 2 of my 3 children, would you buy yam alone and give it to the children?Law is simple when applied with common sense, why would Abuja be the determining factor in an election with 36 states? Why would they campaign in all states, if all they had to do was win Abuja convincingly to ensure the other candidates never make it to 25%? Make una think |

Immatex: It is the duty and responsibility of government to create not just enabling environment - which meaning Nigerian politicians do not know - but the right labour policies that will enable job creation.
Aside that, government also creates direct employment by participating actively in the economy through government run establishments which becomes the yardstick for the private sector in implementing labour policies.
So this statement by a Nigerian government official is a fallacy! In any major country, public/government jobs accounts for less than 15% of the workforce. Labor policies are part of that enabling environment, these include tax incentives, security, making sure employers pay what is fair and timely, etc. With that said, government has failed in all these areas. |

Unemployment rate without looking at population is total B.S.! We all know Nigeria continues to pump out graduates year in and out but the number of companies hiring continues to decrease. Abeg where dem wan put all these graduates? 2020 set still dey wait for job, 2022 is loading, 2023 forget about it. Government should enable an attractive business atmosphere and provide tax incentives so that the private sector can do its damn job. Further, the so called graduates and awaiting workers should understand the Nigerian job market and diversify their skillset rather than waiting for one job from heaven. Look at them on Nairaland, the usual jobless people are here bantering, why wouldn't government treat una as a joke? |

Kobojunkie: 1. To state that God, in fact , blesses marriages, you have to in fact quote God saying this. So where in scripture did God — of course through Jesus Christ— state that those who are married are blessed by Him in the Kingdom of God?
2. Where in scripture is it written that God sanctions your church weddings? See, God is not arbitrary in His ways — He actually spells out what He does. So where does God do this which you claim?
3. I didn't interpret any of this at all as I simply quoted that stated by Jesus Christ Himself in all of this. BIG PROBLEM....YOU READ BUT NEED ENLIGHTMENT 4. I am afraid I do not exactly understand what you mean when you say God spoke from boh sides of his mouth regarding marriage. Care to elaborate? Now you're making up things, no it does not have to be quoted since 70% of the way we worship God was never mentioned in the Bible!Rather than argue baselessly, please clarify why the Bible has rules for fornication, divorce and even marriage but marriage itself is of no consequences? 1. Thou shall not fornicate...... So if we can't fornicate what does that mean? We either remain celibate or get married.2. What God has joined together let no man put asunder....... If you're saying God did not bless marriages then there wouldn't be any religious objection to leaving marriages under any and all reasons.3. Mathew 19 v 5 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. But according to your own argument this is of no concern to God? Finally, if God does not bless marriages then you can equally say we shouldn't bother praying for anything as the wedding ceremony is nothing but a dedication to God and a prayer to bless the unity. With all due respect, you have no authority to say whether God blesses or does not bless such a ceremony! |
Culture › Re: I’m A Bride Waiting To Be Dressed Up - Silekunola Naomi by abbey621(m): 7:55pm On Apr 28, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: 1. Sure, he did but He equally made it clear that marriage itself had nothing to do with the Kingdom of God. It's kinda the same way He spoke of obedience in the context of faith without suggesting in any way or form that all acts of faith are of God.
2. Yes, I am serious. Those who are born-again in this life will never die. They become citizens of the Kingdom which Jesus Christ spoke of even while living - John 3 vs 1 - 21. This isn't my interpretation by the way as it is instead what is written in scripture. Even Paul alluded to the very same teachings of Jesus Christ in his letter to the Corinthians where he explains that some will not need to die to experience the transformation from this world to the Kingdom - 1 Corinthians 15. Don't take Paul's words though as he was instead attempting to explain that which is Jesus Christ to people who were struggling to grasp it. You should spend more time reading through the Gospel teachings of Jesus Christ. Marriage itself has nothing to do with kingdom of God is not the same as saying God does not bless marriages. It is not the same as saying church weddings are invalidated because it has nothing to do with God's kingdom. We seem to be operating from different point of interpretation because I see in no shape or form how what you wrote translates to your initial point of discussion. You're basically saying the lord spoke from both sides of his mouth when it comes to marriages, he speaks about the many variables in marriages but maintains that marriage itself has nothing to do with God.......Doesn't that sound silly? |
