Not entirely true, I've seen a woman who stayed with her husband when he lost his job, the woman did all she could to lift the family, she works in a good company, and earned a decent income. Funny thing is, the woman virtually won't let anyone rest, dead or alive , until she announces that her husband needs a job, and as God would have his way, she bankrolled the family for about six months or more till God helped the man with another job paying well. He never gave up and was always looking out for ways to help himself. Just marry right, marry a responsible person who believes in him/herself, and marry a goal getter, marry who has plans backed with actions. Funny thing is I've seen someone Got married, then things turned from grass to grace for them, from little to plenty, marriages open door for some, while for some, it spelt doom. Partners should be careful, know each other's plans, support and help eachother but above all, marry an understanding partner who pushes the best of you. Frankly, marriage is not for the faint-hearted, the bills are draining for both parties, more reason both parties should have good financial plans, plan A, plan B, plan c, plan d, plan e... Till you finally achieve close to your planned stable income level.

I for one do not fancy who writes to make comprehension difficult. Funny thing is, it would end up affecting their regular professional write ups. Even me can quit when especially the person seems to make no improvement after been helped series of time. Its instead of it's or am instead of I'm, that one alone annoys me to high heaven.

Apologize for what you did, I am sure she would apologize for her actions too, then talk to her to find more ways to make the marriage work, and reach a compromise, it is good for partners to find freedom even while married, marriage is not a cage. I like skimpy dresses too for a woman but to church, she needs to be more discreet, just as you said, make her see reasons with you. I pray your home finds the required peace to make it work.

UNIBEN is not as rugged as it was those days of 2005, 2006, 2007. Things were even calmer in my time which was even reasonably recent, even till I graduated. While I was in school, they gunned down many final-year students. Just live right, who graduated UNIBEN unhurt can live with anyone peacefully in this life. Halls of residence comes to mind, those aro guys made shool fun, hall 3 especially.

You're wrong, I have been wondering why he hasn't been re-arrested all this while with all his vituperations against his country home via online medium. UK and US have extradition treaty with Nigeria, so I wondered why it took this long to bring him back. I'm sure UK didn't want to let him go been their citizen but they have to, after been presented with evidences that could nail him and considering the pact signed between the two countries. If he wanted to escape, US isn't an option, France, Brunei, Canada and even India are better. What a student that passed JAMB 5 years back but has been at home since because of lack of space,may have known then,may have evaporated after 5,4,3 or even 2 years of redundancy.
Yearly JAMB test is still the best.

Two years at that is still relatively okay...

I disagree with you on this. It is not good to generalize this, there are many good women out there, do not use this instance to draw a conclusion. We all could have had bad experiences, but not enough to generalize. I feel the husband might have refused to sign the divorce papers because maybe the terms and conditions do not favor him, like what he loses, who takes custody of the kids amongst others. Me as a man would even be wary of a personality like iyabo ojo and mercy, they seem to talk too much for the media and lack the basic understanding to make a home work.
