rvp20182:You do realize that providing the basics like electricity, housing education etc. Will end the terrorism we've been experiencing the problem in the north east is the lack of jobs and the lack of good education solve those two problems and the insurgency would end very quickly meanwhile for the secessionist the same solution they just want development they believe they're marginzalized hive them basic infrastructure and development as the rest of Nigeria and we have no problem and why does Kenya need to focus on electricity and running water if they already have it as you constantly claim. |
ATMC:For some they want both being wealthy and brilliant isn't enough wiithout some height with it I feel like that growth is my maximum and being 5'11 and not 6'0 feels like an insult |
juve4life:You're honestly not wrong they have the resources and the population to do it without problem but until foreign medlers and bad leaders are gotten rid of the DRC cannot progress but in my opinion I still believe Nigeria will become the strongest and most prosperous black nation in the world with the population we have, the ingenuity, the innovation, the knowledge we can go so far with just the knowledge of our citizens all the government needs to do is provide an enabling system Good roads Electricity Good railways Running water With just those the citizens would be able to solve all of Nigeria's problems whether it be manufacturing or housing they'll find a solution if the government gives them a base even with all the bad leadership we've been able to put our country in an amazing position so if and when we get a mediocre or hopefully a good leader then the kind of growth you'd see would be unseen in the history of economic growth |
rvp20182:All this hyping up yet Safaricom just got kicked out of DRC? And Kenya regionally in Africa isn't ahead of Nigeria. Nigeria has companies open in Tanzania, Gabon, Togo, Mozambique etc. And they have a decently large market share we recently built a massive cement plant in Tanzania, Kenya doesn't compare to Nigeria in size of economy, number of businesses and presence of it's businesses across Africa |
Hueman:He said he was imperfect did he not? If you were a true Nigerian you'd understand the system of respect for your elders to a certain degree he never said he was a good leader simply wished him happy birthday and moved on and if you even bothered to read his manifesto you'd see why he's a good potential candidate for Nigeria Reducing recurrent expenditure by 50 % ( Currently eats up 98% of revenue) Restructure the nation into a federalism Draft a new constitution Create a fund to make PPP projects more accesible And that's just the start there's nothing wrong with Moghalu and Nigeria needs change NOW, this party MOP that I introduced you to cannot win an election come 2023 we need a new progressive leader who will give us the constitutional and economic reforms that Nigeria is begging for and if that doesn't take place soon then Nigeria will cease to exist |
Hueman:Centre Left or essentially social democracy not leftist |
AlexBells:I don't care about what you think it is in our own opinions Awo's social democracy drive has influenced me, Okpara's industrialization and agriculture drive influenced me, Odutola's has influenced me due to his industrial projects in weaving, gold, plastics, tyres etc. There's no basis for a argument we're talking about who influenced OURSELVES the most not who influenced Nigeria the most stop crying |
Reflect7:It isn't compulsory across the board in the west as you claimed and based off of basic google searches it isn't required in ALL American schools but many do have it as required reading but the ultimate point is you were wrong it's not compulsory in England, America, Australia or anywhere else in the west. |
AlexBells:It is in my opinion not in yours i'm not tribalist either the inclusion of Odutola is because he's related to me so he has influenced me to want to start business in Nigeria, Awolowo influenced me with his social democracy projects for development in Nigeria like free education, free healthcare and organized agricultural systems and Okpara influenced me with his massive industrialization projects as well as his mass agro processing projects so stop talking as if i'm you this is about our own personal opinions not others |
Reflect7:How is it my limited experience? It isn;t compulsory in any educational system as you claimed only a few schools choose to add it into their own curriculum and they're mainly trying to make themselves seem exotic or different from the rest or are trying to gain mor African students it isn't a general thing |
Nigercity:When did I say that? She isn't more influential but she's definitelt still a very influential person it depends on which demographic or view you're trying to talk about influential from when it comes to activisim and womens rights it's Mrs Kuti when it comes to leadership, politics and development it's Azikiwe |
AlexBells:How am I tribalist for saying Awolowo is an influential Nigerian? Did I not also mention Michael Okpara or you didn't read that |
Nigercity:Olufunmilayo Ransome Kuti who was a pioneer activist, leader of a revolution against a king ( first in colonial era ) was unknown outside of the south west? Even the British knew of her antics |
Nigercity:Well now you know |
AlexBells:He literally coined the term for the currency Naira and made the foundations of its institutions and creation? Like why're you lying Awolowo was popular outside of the west if he wasn't that popular outside of the west why was he the second most voted for candidtae in 79 as in he had more votes then Zik and Kano combined. |
Reflect7:Bro that's a lie i'm a student in the UK and we haven't had to read things fall apart it was optional not compulsory same goes for those in the US why do you think their knowledge on African culture and life is so limited? It isn't compulsory anywhere it is just an optional book recommended to students what is compulsory is Shakespeare Tempest, Macbeth, The Merchant Of Venice and a few of his over plays, An Inspector Calls and Of Mice and Men those are compulsory readings as much of Nigeria as you will get is Adichie in her Ted talk of a single story |
Obafemi Awolowo Michael Okpara Chief Timothy Adeola Odutola |
Both are below Anambra state both in economy and infrastructures, Oyo is five state below Anambra in economy
Ogun state may have lower IGR but it definitely has more industry then Anambra due to it's proximity to Lagos look at Ota, Agbara Sagamu etc. Very industrialized areas and for Oyo state a lot of industries closed down over the years but anyways the only time where we can fairly judge is when we get restructuring for now these arguments are senseless and we should applaud all basic progress no matter what. |
You mean your mud enclave Which state in Yoruba land that match Anambra state outside Lagos that was developed by all tribes and foreigners. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-jB295tCIw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TumRSP3n9YI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccclbZwi8nU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKPlVXe5JbI
Ogun and Oyo state |
Propaganda can't lead you guys no where, they're still borrowing to pay salaries, not to talk about projects, why making silly noise over fake IGR, when they can't pay workers salary without borrowing, same noise Aregbsola was making when Goodluck was president that Osun make sufficient IGR until breeze of economy recession blow, when oil price was down Osun government couldn't pay electricity bill, your leaders should stop fooling themselves.
We're here talking about Osun and you're bringing up Ondo and Ogun your mumu is legendary |
Righteousness2:There is no hell |
So this is how you people will try and use religion to stop us from deposing of bad leaders abi? |
Hueman:False many of them have tried to rectify things and others are unaware or would rather not get involved in it doesn't make them evil or anything as you wrongly claim |
contigiency:Who says he's a leader? He's but a member and him being indebted doesn't make the third force party bad for all we know this could be a ploy to discredit the new party next thing you know Falana and Utomi will be arrested for fraud or something |
Aboks:That is (RPP) Try again Anyways this party will surely change the fortune of Nigeria if Nigerians truly embrace it the likes of Moghalu, Sowore, Durotoye, Fasua etc. Should all come and join this party the only way to defeat the Big two is through unity and the grassroots |
Kenya is considering using reserves from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to compensate for Chinese loans it repaid after the Treasury dropped an earlier request to defer debt payments. The Treasury says it could use its additional allocation of IMF reserves in Special Drawing Rights (SDR) assets, which can be converted to government-backed money, as one of the options to plug the budget hole. SDRs are the IMF’s unit of exchange based on sterling, dollars, euros, yen and yuan, and can be used to settle obligations like repayment of foreign public debt. Director-general for public debt management office at the Treasury Haron Sirima said Kenya has an a raft of options including “use of additional SDR allocation by the IMF” to fill the cash hole left after Nairobi started to service loans from China in July. Kenya had expected to extend a debt repayment moratorium from bilateral lenders, including China, which started in January 2021, by another six months to December 2021, saving it from making payments of nearly Sh50 billion to Beijing lenders. Chinese lenders, especially Exim Bank, were uncomfortable with Kenya’s push for extension of the debt service suspension with rich nations, prompting delays in disbursements to projects funded by Chinese financiers. This forced Nairobi to drop its push for the debt repayment holiday extension by China for fear of straining relations with Kenya’s biggest bilateral creditor. Dr Sirima said the Treasury has other options, including seeking grants from development partners, changing the funding for “specific” capital projects to public–private partnership (PPP) and tapping the IMF reserves. https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/bd/economy/kenya-seeks-imf-aid-repay-chinese-loans-3557198 |
Omooba77:I mean you're only half right in terms of the refinery there is a lot on ground up to 67% completion rate and in terms of solar energy Nigeria doesn't have the money for it, Nigeria if we had 100% connectivity for electricity we would need 180 000MW of energy and to build enough solar plants to produce that much energy would cost up to 100-130 billion dollars ( Bevause we'd have to import all the equipment as well ) And added to that is the transmission infrastructure which would run the cost up to 200-300 billion dollars or more so for now we should depend on cheap energy solutions like gas or coal and hydroelectric |
PROVERBZ:Land definitely isn;t cheap and especially not in waterfall or sandton where the most modern low rises are there is just a lot of wealth so they're able to acquire the necessary land and materials to build anything they need |
obaaderemi:Can you speak english? I very clearly said they still would have progressed and developed but not at the same speed if you take away trillions of dollars from a nation will it still move at the same speed? Of course not I never said it would be undeveloped I just said it would have developed a lot slower and not reached the same milestones as quick as they did with slavery and colonialism |
blackgold2018:They already have millionaires and billionaires in their ranks and at this rate i'm sure they're done with money and just wan true development |
LibertyRep:With people like Falana, Utomi, Moghalu and even Jega there should be no problems when it comes to winning elections so there is no reason for why they would need to include disgruntled members of either party unless they show actual change in ideology |
It doesn't really matter he'll likely end up joining the movement in the end seeing as they plan on merging with all political parties in Nigeria including his own SDP but in the end I hope Falana or Moghalu becomes their presidential candidate |
