I am not saying to learn a skill isn't a good idea while I await admission I does a menial job of fixing phones which I rake in cookies money..............Sir appreciate God for making u a graduate its not a waste of time. i would ask you of your opinion five years after your graduation from the Nigerian law school, right now, you're not in position to talk on this issue. I'm gainfully but it's what i learnt on the field that sustains me not what i was taught in school, many in my field open regret wasting time in school instead of moving to the field to earn money while learning. |

talking about neighbors, i remember my former residence where most houses in the neighborhood are unfenced, a neighbor shouted barawo at night, as i rushed bare hands from my sleep to help her, i heard the sounds of my neighbors quickly locking their doors. it then dawned on me that I'm on my own, i quickly dashed back indoors and locked my door too.Nigerian neighbors can't be counted up on until we have the right to own guns, simple. |

Unbrandedguy: I still prefer him to Mr Deafsident of Nigeria! Though i know that this is a huge lie and aimed at tarnishing his Image.. but Nig govt fail everytime they try such. they had tried to split IPOB by bring out TRIBOP and REPOB yet they failed again. Our Constitution the bible says "Let them gather, let them try, but because they are not gather in my name. they shall scatter in seven ways." "they will fall for our sakes! "the heathen gather and said lets us cast them asunder, let us scatter them. Our God shall laugh at them in derision." So shall it be In Jesus Name Amen.
One day, we will heave a sigh of relief. peace be unto the remnants of Nigeria still, after our exit. dude that picture was photoshopped,I've seen the original picture somewhere on the internet and it wasn't nnamdi kanu. |

Businessideas: I beg to disagree. I mentioned the one I know and you added your own to it. We are both putting the facts out there as a form of advocacy so that these bastardization of our education system should stop. The North isn't particularly favorable to western education but they are honest enough not to be churning out cheats who eventually cheat their way through universities and become another statistics of failed graduate. That's the difference between the South east scenario and the north you mentioned. for you to say that northern schools don't produce horribly half baked graduates is the height of hypocrisy, i rest my case. |

Businessideas: I'm not talking about their families, I am using these examples to show that these schools some people are hating on have more success rates than they think. Most of the few surviving indigenous second generation business are now being managed by a generation of people who got this expensive international education. What value did their parents see in sending their children to those schools? Did they get value for their investment? Yes of course!!! It's this kind of education service CIS has brought home, CIS is owned by Nigerians!! my dear, those people are what they are because of their family backgrounds, the school that have produced the highest number of professors, governors, ministers, high level politicians etc in the entire south east and south south (the old eastern region) is ckc onitsha and it's a Catholic school. |

Businessideas: You are not coordinated in your thoughts so I will limit myself to educating you. I am a Nigerian patriot and the idea is that we have a lot to do to help our kids get the best of education. In their age of global village, a child learning in one village in Zamfara should be able to cope with his academic agemate in Tokyo, Hamburg or Canterbury. It's a wake up call for the authorities to do more. It's a shame when we read the amount of results cancelled as a result of cheating and when our university graduates fumble in meeting their responsibility to their society. The notoriety of the south east miracle centres is legendary. It is the responsibility of the authorities to stop these business men from ruining the future of our kids and nation. Nobody will write exams for you in schools like CIS!! a nice post until you dragged the south east into it, here in the north, answers are written on the board for students who couldn't make a coherent statement in English to make their results, many teachers can't communicate in English and lecturers are tragic clowns. |

Businessideas: Where did you get your data from? I am telling you that you don't have sufficient data to conclude as such. I have read about and followed the life of a few people who attended such schools and I noticed that they have more success rates than the people who attends common sense schools. From Ojukwu(Epsom College) to Saraki to Femi Fanikayode(Harrow) to Obi Asika(Eton),name them, they have more success rates more. These are the schools CIS is competing with. How many AIS,Saint Savior, BIS alumnus have you met in your life. How many will you find among those graduates who applied for the last immigration exercise, how many of them do you see on ipob or militant lists? Yet these schools have been existing for years. I even doubt if you have any AIS or CIS alumnus On Nairaland, they will probably be following Linda Ikeji blog . the people you listed had their education when most were illiterates and have influential parents to provide the connections they needed to succeeded. for example ojukwu was the first university graduate to be recruited into the Nigerian army and his father was the first recorded billionaire in west Africa according to some sources. |

Businessideas: You are hiding away from the fact that you goofed and errred by stating that the school isn't rated by waec .This doesn't need you to bring in a completely irrelevant issue.I completely agree with you that the school fees you pay don't determine your success in life but educational research has proven that there's a significant increase in the chance of succeeding in life if you have quality education. Quality education and premium education don't come cheap anywhere in the world. I just don't want to encourage you on the path of hating on the school or parents who send their children to CIS. If you truly have your kids overseas, I want you to imagine the option of having those schools with same quality and accreditation body located in Nigeria but at a premium price. You may settle for the one in Nigeria. bros, im my own experience, fellows that attended such schools don't perform significantly better than those that attended Catholic owned schools, jamb results would place everybody where they belong. i have a course mate from one such school in Abuja, she was hardly upto average in performance. my parish school had some Lebanese students from one such school and their performance was abysmal to say the least. |
