liberty300: this is no time to make jokes. We have a serious problem at hand?
What nonsense do you mean by "when to spend"?
We're talking of daily expenditure not spending the money a boy gave you on makeup and hair extensions bought from ebay.
FYI: December is next week, prices of commodities tend to increase in such periods. With fuel selling @ #200 imagine the price hike on commodities, even on your precious hair extensions she's right, those living abroad can get more naira for their dollars by changing it now before and spending it immediately before the high dollar price becomes high goods prices in the markets. in times of inflation, traders, debtors and diaspora people gain, it's basic economics. |

Dnacode: If it really happened MASSOB n IPOB shd not just scream it out. It can lead to Mayhem. We are trying to avoid war at all costs I have observed the Yoruba, we call them cowards but they are not really. They know how they get their way in things.
Some jealous Yoruba want it to happen so that they will take our abandoned property again--(they never seem to learn)
If KANU is killed we shd petition the British(because he is their citizen), ICC, ICJ, UN etc Even if British govt drags its feet because of the benefit they get from Nigeria then we have international hot head lawyers that will sue the British govt to court for not protecting its citizen.
MASSOB , IPOB n Igbo race should take it easy. Many Igbo's will never forgive both Nigeria n Biafra if there is a repeat of a civil war except when it is perfectly justified.
Buhari is playing the dumb fool for now because he doesn't want any blame(that was exactly the same strategy he used during election. PDP was carrying out propaganda but buhari never said anything negative about them but focused on the change message). That's how he really beat PDP.
He is using the same tactics. If we start the war game then he will have sympathy from Nigeria and I bet you it is the Nigerian masses and not even soldiers that will massacre Ndigbo because they have been sold the change message and all their years of frustrations will be heaped on Igbo as the people that are spoiling their hope of change. They will not remember that Ndigbo did not steal away their dream nor their childrens dream as they were not really involved in Nig politics. They will not remember that Igbo's are Christians and so belong to the body of Christ with them. They will not remember that Fulani's have massacred people all over the nation but Ndigbo have lived peacefully with them for a while. They will not remember that Igbo's have contributed to national development.
They will never have mercy because they will see Nigeria starting all over again on a never ending spiral of hopelessness n they will blame it on NDIGBO. They will totally destroy us n Buhari would just sit back without lifting a finger. Mission accomplished before even starting--more than 1/4 of the church is gone so Islam can now take over comfortably. We must tread with caution and follow every legalistic way possible.
We Must Never Fight A War Of Blame!!! nice write up but you're not igbo and massob/ ipob are fiercely anti violent which makes them to be fools. Machiavelli said in his book titled the prince that"the unarmed prophet would always come to grief" this people would continue failing until they realise that Nigeria is neither Spain nor Britain. they should realise it's either biafra or death. revolution is not a tea party. when they become tired of protesting, they would go back to their businesses. |

Dnacode: Everybody's blood is boiling, there is paranoia and mass hysteria in the Eastern air so we should all cool down. Ihe di oku ga-emecha juo oyi.
Everyone should control their paranoia. MASSOB should stop heating the polity up.
KANU cannot have been killed, treason or not. Buhari committed treason too when he threatened Nigerians(dogs and baboon) so he should be killed if KANU is killed. Buhari knows KANU is a British citizen. You just don't kill a Brit like that cos Nigeria will then be invaded by Britain.
Everyone should calm down and watch the Lord perform wonders. Don't fully trust MASSOB they just want war without reason. They are primitive and highly destructive. The law of nature has made us understand that highly destructive agents are only released in extreme of the extreme of cases so Let's cool down for Jesus Besides as highly educated people we all came from very well cultured homes so calm down. very wise post but massob is not blood thirsty, they're just trying to put the fire on the dss to produce him in court. it will also put the southeast governors meeting with ohaneze in disarray. |

Armaggedon: neither ohaneze no SE governors started this biafra issue. Therefore there is little they can do except advice. The key party here is IPOB and am sure they will not attend expecially with their leader still illegally detained both the governors and ohanaeze are political jobbers trying to play into president buhari good books by hijacking this struggle, similar to the way Niger Delta politicians made billions from obasanjo while claiming to be speaking for the militants. the easiest way to douse tensions is for kanu to be produced in court and released on 23rd November. i blame buharis vindictive nature for these problems. gej simplyly ignored radio biafra and radio chanji and they remained unknowned while buhari tried blocking radio biafra with much media noise and made them popular in the process. |

Acidosis: Take it easy bro. Some people are not interested in Fence, and American security cable. That's why it is necessary to understand the fact that N2m can complete a bungalow. Even your style and type of Roof can help reduce cost by 40%.
One thing about building is that no amount is ever too much! You can spend as much as N100m on a 3 bedroom bungalow. Some people travel as far as Dubai, just to shop for Doors, furniture and Curtains. While some would simply drive to a nearby Igbo shop to make orders. In fact, they won't pay any middle-man; their car would do the logistics.
Where I come from, some town planning/housing workers draw building plans for as low as N30,000. Meanwhile, I understand some architects demand as much as N200k for plan.
Its all about your taste, bro. N2m can complete a bungalow in Nigeria.
Even the bore hole you talked about goes for a meagre N50k max in a town like Abraka, Delta (Yes because the soil permits manual drilling). You'd need N300k - N500k to mount same borehole in other places in Nigeria. 99% of Nigerians don't even have boreholes, here in the north, you subscribe for a tanker to fill your overhead tank weekly for a fixed fee. I'm always amused by the answers people gives here all the time, it shows the rot in our educational system. someone asked about the cost of building a bungalow and they start talking about fence, American security cable and borehole. |

koning: What a ridiculous postulate within the Nigerian context. I will never rely on a Nigerian structural engineer civil servant to guarantee my safety in my own house. A house that i intend to live in with my children. I have seen some of those so-called structural engineers at Alausa. With 10k people like you will get anything approved just to rip off your clients. I will surely employ my own structural engineer and will NEVER use a structural engineer brought by the builder/contractor. He is an accomplice if you know what I mean. welcome to the property section where elephants can fly. just hire professionals and supervise them by yourself including following them to the market and arranging with different suppliers by yourself and you would build your house without been ripped off. stop arguing with these guys, it's a battle you can't win. |

Mcbussy: What should Buhari do?...beg them to forget their dream(which would even infuriate them more because of their hatred for him), or is he supposed to just say "Okay, Biafra is a free country", or u expect him to release sum1 that preaches hate and commits treasonable acts on daily basis.
From the way I see it, none of those options would go well with Nigeria as an entity. PMB is d president of Nigeria so the interest of Nigeria comes first. All he can do is to check his security forces from killing unarmed civilians, hope that these people get tired, and then release the jungle director after he has agreed to go and sin no more. the simple solution is to obey the court order for his release. buhari vindictive nature is what caused all this problem. he launched radio chanji from Benin republic against gej and did everything kanu was accused of doing but nobody locked him up or tried to jam his station so why is he so desperate to do the same a few months later?. if weapons are delivered to this youths, Nigeria won't survive more than a few weeks from an armed ipob, the regrouping Niger Delta militants and the ever untiring bh from the north east. that's what should be his concern now. |

On a more serious note, This biafra struggle, you know you wont be able to win a war fighting on hausa or yoruba land, you all need to go home, strategise and fight from home. You all need to leave the SW to prove you are serious. When that is done, and the war starts, the UN will get involved and the refrendum will commence. the same way all Scottish citizens went home or all catalonians did the same? besides you will look more serious if you spend your time on the Yoruba thread or on a thread that discusses how to advance Nigeria economically instead of been here trading insults with people who opened a thread for their own good. |
