ACM10: Afam is right! Northerners attains mostly political heights in Nigeria because of the quota system and federal character system. I can remember that my friend gained admission to study medicine in UNN by claiming Sokoto as his state of origin. His name appeared on the merit list, even though he scored 235 in JAMB exam. While the name of my other friend from Imo who scored 272 was omitted from from the list for failing to reach the cut-off mark. If Nigeria embraces meritocracy, I will not be surprised if people from other regions supplants some northerners from their positions.i was surprised during my youth service to see so many igbos with a northern state of origin. Infact, if u read madiebo book, u will realise that strategy has been used by igbos even before the civil war. |
Ndị igbo ekene mụ unu, biko a na m eweputa mazi odumchi na mazi eziachi maka oche a. Udo chia. |
Plain nonsense, no electricity, no transportation network, comatose educational institutions etc. That idiotic lecturer should be investigated for graft cos i suspect he is gaining something from those millions of dollars being spent on that useless space projects. |
Op pls give us ur source though i believe he might say that. The guy don't mince words and have grown above tribal bickerings. |
ba7man: I so agree with you. Truely, Nigeria played dirty but food supply and allies are essential factors of warefare and Ojukwu ignored this and 3 million people paid the price. I have reached a conclusion, thank you.in that case, u were never here to learn. Good night and sweet dreams. |
ba7man: Someones getting angry....nyways, the Nigerian troops had the habit of destroying farmlands so that resulted in the unavailability of food. My gripe is why fly in weapons only when u can also fly in food. At least I'v provided evidence that flights could enter via Cameroon. Provide me with counter points not telling me I'm ignorant, I don't think Igbo people are insultive, haughty and think people are below them but u r starting to play by that book.it's funny u failed to read up that food supplies were being flied into biafra till d end of d war.inshort biafra was flying in both food till end of d war, it's laughable that u said that nigeria could not penetrate d biafra airspace. Pls read up on d russian m16 and their egyptian pilots. I'm busy now, talk later |
ba7man: I'm back again ooo......Funny how planes were bringing in weapons but no food. Looks like a case of misplaced priority. And there was no total blockade, read these excerpts." The Biafrans were swift to understand the importance of air power and to start organizing a rag-tag air force, as well as using transport aircraft for bringing supplies of weapons into the country. Regular flights of Air Trans Africa DC-7s from South Africa were undertaken already since the summer of 1966: other aircraft operated from Portugal, via Portuguese Guinea (today Guinea-Bissau), and Cameroon. In October 1966, for example, a Royal Air Burundi DC-4M Argonaut, flown by a mercenary Henry Wharton alias Heinrich Wartski, crash landed at Garoua, in Cameroun....guy ur really sounding ignorant and asking for an ewar, u should read about the genesis of hunger in biafra. The first place kwashiokor occured was at asaba under general murtala muhammed. That place is not biafra but the ppl were igbos, u should also read about d genocide he committed there. Mind u they are nigerians not biafrans. Any more ignorant post from u, and u would recieve d flak ur asking for |
ba7man: I'm back. Been reading up on the Biafran Civil war on Google. True, a blockade was effected but why did Ojukwu reject the aids when they were later allowed in?? He seemed more concerned about securing planes for his bombing campaign and weapons. At that point, he was detached from the realities of the war. He was more adept at leading troops. I also confirmed it that it was the Nigerian Airspace that aids was attempted to be delivered to Biafra. Ojukwu should have worked out an alternate route through Cameroon (An option that's glaring) since France was sympathetic to the Biafran cause. Ojukwu was probably too focused on the war front to realize his people were dying.my friend in all honesty u don't sound like an unbiased scholar, and ur really shallow on d facts of d civil war. Educating u would need reading a lot of books, saying nigeria should fly in food through cameroon is d most ignorant post of d yr so far. Also at d time of session, nigeria have no air force pilots while biafra have both indigenous and friendly pilots, u should read up on how nigeria gained air superiority, red cross planes were actually shot down over biafra territory, read up. Biafra was invaded so stop saying that they started d war. If u know little then stop posting till u know better. |
Eko Ile: And you wonder why Lagos state's population is 20 million. Just multiply this by thousands of other okada people in Lagos state. Eko Ile: And you wonder why Lagos state's population is 20 million. Just multiply this by thousands of other okada people in Lagos state. Eko Ile: And you wonder why Lagos state's population is 20 million. Just multiply this by thousands of other okada people in Lagos state.@ekt bear, ilugunboy and eko ile, so are u telling me u can't see where he called them clowns on the post above. |
How much does the northeast generate for federal government? North will not smell power again thieves |
@eko ile, ur very stupid for calling akwa ibomites clowns, i won't be surprised if that man makes more money than u. How old are u 16? |
redsun: Are you implying it was robbery gone wrong?Self denial goes hand in hand with self-destruction.my dear, i'm not a muslim but this does not look like the hand work of boko haram nor is it the hand work of d local christians, the truth will come out in time. Maybe the so called armed robbers were another peacefull muslim sect being crushed by d government run by rival sects so they attack to get revenge. That is exactly how boko haram started. It might be fulani herdsmen seeking revenge for their colleagues killed in d anti armed robbery attack. But more facts will emerge with time |
@born2be rich, the foreign media likes to paint nigeria bad all d time by misrepresenting d truth. The attack have nothing to do with religion. |
BetaThings: If you have spent 30minutes studying human psychology, you would not have posted this!explain urself besides i live in the north and know the pattern very well. If u kill one of their own, they will continue raiding and killing d villagers like for ever. If ur sure of yourself then lets bet on it. But first explain urself |
When will somebody ban this ghanaian fool. |
defemz: Below is a more detailed account from saharareportersok, here in the north, the only tribe known for armed robbery, bloody revenge and invading villages is d fulani herdsmen. |
defemz: Below is a more detailed account from saharareporters |
The army is going to arrest any kaduna christian youth around. I just hope boko haram quickly accepts responsibily because everybody knows kaduna christians are not happy after d last set of church bombings. To make matter worse d counter reprisal attack by muslim youths involve open display of ak47 assault machine guns in broad day light. Our greedy leaders should divide this country so that we will all live in peace. Water and oil don't mix together. |
^meaning?, do u want me to start diging up names? Today is sunday so lets be friends ok? Happy sunday 2 u. |
If this kidnap was in d east, this yoruba ppl would have turned it into a tribal bash, now it among them and nobody is bashing them. There is hardly any week that u don't read about a bank robbery in the yorubaland involving dozens of armed robbers. Any way i congratulate d vigilant group and wish them many more successes. The speaker should pay them a few millions as encouragement. |
Pls can somebody using a desktop search for and repost that thread about yoruba girls doing ashawo in europe.@mawojuuche, tell me any higher institution where u can't pick as many girls as u can afford in nigeria. Even here in d north, it's d same. Do a little search on british schools and u would be suprised at d level of prostitution among their students, also the american por.n industry recruit heavily from their college compuses.i'm not from imo but ur totally off the point on this one. |
A very touching and exposing piece. I'm still waiting for wole soyinka piece. |
Pls i'm tired of all this talks, achebe have written his book, if d awolowo family don't like it they can sue him to court. Our fighting here won't change d truth, wole soyinka was imprisoned for several years for opposing d war by d awolowo regime. If he was d one that wrote that same book, would d yoruba be shouting themselves hoarse over it. Pls everybody should stop this postings. It's becoming childish. Let everybody keep his belief to himself. @osiris.211, some of d names u posted they are igbo so ur point is not as forcefull as u are trying to make it sound. Keep ur belief to ur self let me keep mine to myself. |
Owerri is home to many highly populated high institutions of learning so that explains the level of prostitution there, any city in nigeria with even of such institutions experience prostitution talkless of when many are concentrated in city. The average owerri girl would be damn stupid to ply that trade in her own community. And yes most of the prostitutes in d east are not igbos. Just do a sample of them in onitsha. |
Pls i want to beg all igbos to stop responding to all this provocations. Pls stop responding to this thread. If this jobless ppl can't handle the truth, then let them sumersault and die, adiro abuo ayi ara, hapu fa ka fa yiba ara. Bikonu. |
1) the case is still in court and the police came to demolish their houses 2) the dpo don't even know what his men was doing there 3) court bailiffs not police execute court orders. Typical nigerian story. |
@superdude007, accra ghana suffered an earth tremor( a minor earthquake) not an earthquake of the kind being discussed. For an earthquake to be really destructive, it needs to rank as high as 8 out of 10 on d richter scale. However a minor earthquake might trigger other natural disasters. |
