What kind of work will make you dump a 3 month old baby in school? If your career did not stop you from having sex, then your career should give room for you to take care of your child. |

Lifeisokay: Yesterday on my way to church around 4:30pm, I saw a boy of about 9 years eating food from dirt(trash). A man came and asked the child to leave but the child refused, he ask the child to speak but the child just stared at him, angry at the child the man simply left, I walked to the child and gave the child my eggroll, buns and coke. I wanted to eat it during service (it's a bad habit I have, I love eating during church hours, mainly because the service is too long and I end up staving before I get home) The child quickly took the food and ran without saying a word, out of curiosity I ran after the child, we stop at an incompleted building, out of fear i stopped but after sometime I decided to go in the building only to see what I can only describe as pure pain A little girl of about 4 years was lying down, her brother ( the child I give food to) was feeding her the eggroll and coke. Her legs were swelling, I asked the boy what Happened to her legs, he explained that she stepped on a nail inside gutter. Quickly I rushed to the nearest pos and withdraw almost all my money, I took the child to the hospital where she was given drugs and injection. I took her brother to my house and bath him. I took him to buy some clothes for him and his sister. I wanted to take them home but I can't, I'm not financially stable yet and am living with someone rent-free. So I took the children to a orphanage and payed some money, I promised that I will be coming back with some foodstuffs and clothes when I get some money.
This is so sad Nigerians are suffering and our politicians are living life to the fullest, how much can u steal, I cried today, just yesterday I was complaining about life, yesterday I only ate twice despite me being a foodie just because I didn't have the privilege to buy more food. I didn't go to the church again, I'm tired of praying , I need action.
The little girl is still in the hospital receiving treatment, later I will go and discharge her but I can't help to think that this children are out here suffering and one politician child doesn't know the meaning of hunger The little girl you took to the orphanage is still in the hospital? Only on Nairaland will a young lady take a 9 year old boy/stranger to her house to bath him. Your story is incoherent and disjointed. I don't believe understand you. Sorry. We don't have many critical thinkers again sha. Becauseeee! The way you fed two homeless people, bath one of them, took one to the hospital for treatment, bought clothes for another, and still took them to the orphanage...and the orphanage accepted them. All these you did from 4:30pm. |

cococandy: I’m talking from the perspective of wrong versus right.
You know how some people feel abortion is wrong but they have a different opinion if the person who does it married. I feel they should keep the same energy both ways. Oh right. I understand your perspective. |
Family › Re: Is It proper For Married Woman To Do Abortion? by Acidosis(m): 9:02pm On Mar 06, 2022 |
cococandy: Yes. Sadly the notion that married women deserve certain rights over single women is upheld by women. It’s a lot to unpack.
They’ll come for my head now if I start as if I don’t like married women. But I think all women deserve equitable consideration . Marriage doesn’t place one on a pedestal over being a single lady or single mom. Abortion with single women is not the same as abortion among married women. When a married woman considers abortion, she's mostly gotten all the kids. You can't say the same for single women who are at risk of unwanted or undesired complications. A complicated or bad womb to a mother of 4 is not a bad news. |

How do these things appreciate so much once they get to Nigeria, even worse the value keeps adding as the year goes by.
Same thing with laptop computers.

aycapri: Aswear, the matter tire me. Na tha Corolla price worse pass. Accounting in secondary school taught us that assets like this depreciates in value. It is the other way round in the current Nigeria. It is well Especially that Corrola. That was how someone posted a 2006 Corrola for #3M on Nairaland. In my mind, I'm wondering why anyone would save #3M and use it to buy a 17-year old car just because of exchange rate issues. Why not use the money to send 20 orphans to primary school?? Better still, invest it. This is the same car people bought for #1.4M 2-3 years ago. 3 years later, you want to buy a scrap for twice the price when your income has not increased exponentially. Nigerians are the ones driving these crazy prices with their herd mentality. It is true the economy has gone from bad to worse but not to the extent of selling outdated flooded scraps for #3-4M. |

iamdapsyj: The funny thing about the post is that, figures and percentages are just been thrown here and there but no statistical analysis or evidence. It's just like me saying 65% of Nigerians eat salad per year. My analysis should show how I reached that conclusion. Maybe through a sample framework or the information is derived from farmers that sells salad in the country.
In this case, staticens should be telling us how many housewives (sample framework) they interviewed to reach their conclusion. I guess they are just looking to promote their company!! You're right. |

Demol09: In my little journey on earth, I've realised rhis. Even a lady that has her own money wants your money.
The only diff between her & a broke lady is that she'll make you feel like she doesn't want your money by spending her own money, so you don't shame her.
But the pain they both feel for not eating your money is the same."Women make your own money to avoid see finish" is just a defensive mechanism they all apply.
Notice that they also say "if a man gives them, it's a plus?".
What does that tell you? It's either your money or your money. Never theirs.
Broke ladies just lack bragging rights. Additional point : Women don’t take risk with their money, they rather test the water with Men’s money. Know this and know peace. Absolutely. "Independent woman" is just one of those slogans they say to feel good among peers. No woman truly wants to be financially independent The last point is also very true. |

Hollywood has really messed with our brains sha. NASA in real life is not the same as the extremely innovative NASA we see in movies oo What Western media can't do doesn't exist. Some of you even think that America's Intel and AMD are the largest chipmakers in the world. Nah, Taiwan's TSMC is, not America. 60% of chips in the world come from Taipen in Taiwan, not Silicon Valley. Germany, the U.S., UK and many countries literally beg Taiwan to help build chipsets. This is no joke. You people should stop watching CNN. A day with China-based media and your perception about tech and the real makers of tech will change. |

I was going to ask the usual question here "why didn't you do your due diligence". But then I have discovered that the easiest thing to hide before marriage is addiction/habit. Anyone blaming you is just being unrealistic. You may never know whether your spouse is into drugs, a chronic gambler, a porn addict, or a bisexual. It takes only an app to become a chronic gambler these days. Addictions are mostly things people do in the secret, when they're alone, so how on earth are you going to find out whether your man gambles with money?
The compatibility metric is even useless when it comes to certain issues. For example, no chronic gambler wants to marry another chronic gambler, so chronic gamblers seeking marriage would most likely hide/fake financial discipline or "investments" just to lure a spouse who's probably carried away with money, level of education, good family, or good looks. It's a complex issue.
To the OP, I would only be lying if I tell you that I have a solution. I don't have any. On one hand, I can't advise my sister to remain with a chronic gambler. On the other hand, I think it is too early to have this divorce talks. I mean, your marriage is barely 4 month old. But I hope you find a way around your issues. Maybe it's time to activate your conflict resolution plan. A resolution plan may include "a very good family", "an entity he respects so well, e.g. spiritual fathers", etc. If he has none, then your divorce may be faster than you envisaged. |
