Do you think ASUU stike is the main reason parents send their kids to foreign schools? Well, private unis are an alternate for ASUU strike infested unis. In fact, ASUU has no direct impact on japa. None at all.

Forex and work opportunities are the main reasons Nigerians study abroad. For as long as the average Nigerian remembers that one dollar will fetch him over a thousand naira, japa will never stop trending. You can call off ASUU strike forever, increase lecturers' salaries, and even offer free tuition in public schools..... All those will only appeal to the poor.

Why are you increasing the minimum wage by three times in response to the threefold increase in fuel prices? The real question is, what exactly are you trying to achieve? Why increase fuel prices by three times in the first place? Who send you?

It's like allowing mosquitoes to bite you only to prescribe you a malaria drug. Why allow mosquito bites in the first place when you can prevent it cheaply? Borrowing to pay fuel subsidy that affects at least 150 million Nigerians is cheaper and more sensible than borrowing to increase minimum wage for less than only 2 million civil servants. The impurities, the sand inside garri, houseflies, and the number of rats loitering around these open market products are a big turn-off.
