TGM2015:
Nice one, please need to ask you a question. I checked the website and find a link for registration. I know that at graduation point all graduating students are registered to alumna list and maybe not necessarily the website.
My question now is, starting from you did you or any of your relatives you searched for, at any time registered on the platform or through other means? If yes, Dino might probably not have registered and if no, then you have nailed it very hard as the university has decided to carry out a research study and setup investigation panel to determine whether someone graduated or not.
I wonder if the sol has an exams and records department, I have been to very remote villages with no administrative system, headed by incompetent head teacher and never heard them telling me to come back for result verification even though they delayed for hours by finding files upon files, the results for the students will be found. Now a whole university needed the Senate to sit and governing board to confirm whether their students graduated or not is still beating my imagination while some gullible ones are saying what should wait for the university official statement.
The simple answer to your question is, when my father graduated in 1978, there was no internet so he couldnt have done any specific registration. Even when Dino graduated the computer wasnt so affordable and the internet wasnt this advanced in to have had an alumni website. I myself never registered or filled any form nor visited any site for the purpose of Alumni records. I only went to the alumni office, paid 3k as alumni registration fees and was issued a reciept with which i claimed my certificate in the senate building. This is compulsory to rcieve any ABU certificate. During my time, it was just 3k which i believe it was cheaper in 1998 for dino not to have paid and used influence to bypass. I am not sure these fees even existed at the time since my father or mother cant remember paying such a fee.

On the second note, i think the delay in ABU response is a complication they put themselves into. It is reported that Dino is running a masters degree in ABU currently, and had done something in Uni Jos. If they say he never graduated, it puts a very big hole in the reputaion of ABU to have admitted a PG student of the same sch who never graduated. I believe they are caught in between the truth and the lie, either way, will hurt ABU's reputation.

The truth, he didnt graduate. Possible out cry, how did ABU admit him for PG.

The lie, he graduated. Possible out cry, prove it! They will now have to run a conspiracy of lies and risk getting caught.

Infact the more time you take to answer a simple question, the more the possibility that your answer will be a lie. ABU is on the verge of lying to save face from my point of view

They way this matter was recieved in politics section shows it would have been a hit on FP, but no, mods have another agenda so probably do not want this matter up there.

As OP i feel i have passed my message, its left to the mods to either shut it down or push it up.

I initially deleted the screen shots but went back to save them thinking of the implications of that since mods are reluctant.

I used the search option for my surname which is unique to my family, all my family members who did anything in ABU were listed.
1. My dad
2. My Dads younger brother
3. My dad's late cousin brother
4. My mum who only did NCE in ABU (this surprised me most)
5. Myself

I then typed Melaye, the screen shot below says all.

Politics › Dino Melaye's Name Missing In ABU Alumni Website by adanny01(op): 1:46am On Mar 24, 2017
As an ABUSITE myself, i browsed the ABU Alumni website (alumni.abu.edu.ng) for curiosity and found that the records of all Alumni of ABU have been captured.

Sahara reporters which reported that Dino Melaye never graduated from ABU suddenly came to mind. So i began an interesting search.

First i checked my name as an Alumni, it was there. I checked my old roomate's name, it was there. I checked for my departmental friends, all were there except for one whom i know never graduated. I went beyond my department, all names i could think of were there. Finally, i browsed geography department and started with friends and family i knew who graduated from that department, all were there except my late friend who died in 300L. From the results shared by Sahara reporters, Dino used the name Melaye, Daniel Jonah. So i checked for Daniel first, there was nothing like Daniel Melaye or Daniel Jonah. I went to J where i checked Jonah with anything Daniel or Melaye, i didnt find any. Lastly, i went to M where i expected to see Melaye, there was none.

To confirm if old entries were captured, i decided to check my fathers name who graduated from History department in 1978. I was shocked to see my old man's name.

Dino Melaye's name was no where in the list. From my understanding, Dino Melaye was a student of ABU for the required 4 years but needed to spillover and write 3 courses to graduate which he might have not done. It is my conviction that Dino Melaye is not a graduate of ABU Zaria unless some new evidence is shown and analysed to prove otherwise.

It probably means the school itself, ABU is hugely corrupt!
Corruption is a relative one. As a middle class person, you will never get the favours rich people do. These are things a common exam officer would do for you with the right amount. Ofcourse most professors will deal with you if you make that offer.

They did third semester earlier than that I believe, and it wasn't just for a session. Its been so long anyway. I didn't study the results, but if it was just a first semester result, what makes anyone think he didn't do and pass the carryover?
I know people who's registration no started with U97..., meanwhile they started the session in early 98.

The strike messed up a lot of things on the academic calendar.
I believe it was also one of the reasons the third semester was introduced.

Dino was quite influential/popular in the school then, I believe he could have done a lot of things to get his results released on time for him to make service. I mean, what were the chances he would have been posted to Kaduna for Nysc if not that he influenced it.
There are lots of perks attached to being an SUG president, those involved in SUG politics know that. I knew him as SUG president then, and I'm surprised to hear he wasn't a student/ or maybe didn't graduate.
I just checked the results again.

The carry overs are Goeg 404, 426 and 411. In ABU all course codes with last digit odd numbers are 1st semester while even numbers are second sememster. This makes 411 a first semester course and 404/426 second semester. There is no way Dino would have graduated in 1998 and served in 1999 even with the third semester if this result is his.

Second semester carry over must be done in second semester with the exception of third semester. From my knowledge, third semeter was not intoduced, it was done only once for over stayed students and beneficiaries were U90, U91,U92, U93, U96, U97, U98 and U99. It was done while i was in that school. I remember vividly my friend a U99 regreted writing that exams cause the failure rate was even worst. I was there 2000 but Dino said he served 1999 so he couldnt have done third semester.

Funny enough, majority of SUG presidents spillover mostly brcause their academic work suffers.

All dino needed to do was to write his carry overs in 1999 but probably worked his way out. That is what is huntimg him now.

But don't forget ABU did third semester for students with carryovers that period after the two year closure of the school. Many benefitted from the third semester program where they were allowed to write carryover exams without having to wait for another year.
Did he do the third semester? Did he fail the courses again? When was this transcript shown by SR requested?
Thats not a transcript, its the normal results being pasted on the notice board. See the other results and name been blanked on the list. This is just a semester result, my guess will be first semester. Besides transcript carries details of a single student from 1st semester to graduation which is not the case in thks pic.

Third semester was done when i was in the school around 2002/3. So he couldnt have done it then when he said he served in 1999. It was done only for over stayed students.

The only posibility i would understand is that he did the carryovers in the first semester 1999 and was able to make batch B 1999. I seriously doubt that with ABU known not to release results in good time. Also 1999 session is actually in 2000. I got admission for 2000/2001 session but only less than half of the first semester was in 2000. So Dino couldnt have done his carry overs in 1999 and still served in 1999.

Sorry if you are gullible, i am not. I check facts being presented.

From the result share by SR, that is the exact format of ABU results sheet and doesnt seenm to be fake. Dino has 3 very important carry overs which are either prerequisite or cognate. No one should graduate with these kind of carry overs. These carry overs cannot be waved off as only elective carry overs can be waved off at graduation.

His registration number says U93, that means he was admitted in 1993. ABU was close for over 2 years between 1994 to 1995 and the school reopened in 1996. So dino did 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998 and served 1999. Thats imposible because he should have written that carry over and served in 2000 to properly graduate.

Believe what you want but i believe facts.

I know a lot of my classmates in ABU who were either withdrawn, dismissed or simply didnt complete their studies but went for NYSC and are working with multinational companies. I know one with a prerequisite carry over he never wrote as he left the country even before the results were released, this guy has a masters now.

Alot of things happen.

Fellow Corolla S Owners,

Please i need your inputs on the following subjects;

1) I'm about buying new tyres for my 2004 corolla S but i'm considering the idea of Changing my stock (195/65R15) tyres to 205/65R15 so i can have some ground clearance (considering where i'm staying). i need to know if i'll have any issues with the new tyre size. N/B: I'm not running on stock wheels (pic attached).

2) Please who has details on where i can get this complete 05-07 corolla Sport bumper(with the left and right sport bumper lip) and headlights (Picture attached).

If you're currently running on 205/65R15 with my kind of wheels on a corolla S, i'll love to see how well it fits on the vehicle.

Thanks in Advance...
Changing to 205/65R15 from 195/65R15 will change your ground clearance even by 13mm.
If 195 is your stock, maintain it. If you really need ground clearance then 195/ 70 R15 will give you what you need. 185, 195, 205, 215, 225 etc are width of the tire, the height is 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 etc.changing the rim will add to your ground clearance just a very little bit, say 195/60R16. Each time you change the rim to a higher one reduce the height of the tire by 5 to keep the size close to stock.

First of all, i want to categorically state that your wife is cheating on you. It might no have reached the sexual level and if i has not, it will eventually.

Make a choice among the 3 options if you are willing to live with a cheating wife, divorce your cheating wife or reconcile with your cheating wife.

You are already a sucker to your wife thats why she has the effrontery to do all that. I a sucker is always a sucker, i dont expect you to change who you are. I see it like you are not even willing to take charge of your relationship. I have read alot of useful advise which should help.

You will be surprised how the mention of divorce could scare your wife into correcting her wrong, it also could break your home if thats what she wants in the first place.

neoclassical:
I woke up this morning with the news that FCSC has shortlisted lists of successful candidates in the ongoing recruitment exercise by the Commission in various Federal Ministries.

Succinctly, I have a friend who studied Business Administration with 3rd Class, while I have Msc and Bsc (2.1) all in Economics. Both of us applied for the same position (SGL 09) in the Ministry of Trade & Investment. Perhaps, to my greatest perplexity, this guy's name was shortlisted while mine was conspicuously missing. Just a few minutes ago he opened up to me that the father made "some calls" on his behalf prior to this time.

For your information, we are of the same age bracket, applied for same position, from the same State. So what criteria could have been used to disqualify someone with Msc and Bsc (2.1) and someone with a 3rd Class was selected.

Holding other factors constant, I am so happy for him and I am so expectant that mine is coming. But this has kept me in an awe position, as the whole scenario depicts lack of correlation between merit and success in this entity called Nigeria.

WHAT A COUNTRY? So help us God!
The fact that you have a 2.1 does not make you more intellectual than your friend is. Some people suck at exams, others hate reading while others are just plain lazy evetually graduating with 3rd class.

I have a classmate who has 2.1 but was greatly assisted through out. They had a ring that was unbreakable in most exams. From the same class, a friend was lingering in pass for 3years but became very serious in the last 2 years. She later graduate with a 2.2. Think of it, if she had put same effort from year 1, 2.1 would have been sure. What i mean is that your grade is relative to both effort and intellect but not just a direct proportionality of intellect.

An IQ test will actually tell the difference. Thats why an aptitude test usual separates the beans from rice. I know someone with a third class that became the best in an aptitude test where even 1st class wrote.

However, the public employment system in Nigeria favours the connected or those who have relations in high places. It is wrong and condemnable.
Properties › Re: Tutorial: How Many Packet Of Floor Tiles Do You Need To Tile A Room? by adanny01(m): 8:09am On Mar 18, 2017
Op did well.

However, there is a simpler way.

Since the room is 2.5 x 2.4m and a tile is 400 x 400mm.
Take one side say 2.5 and divide by one side of the tile 0.4m which gives 6.25. This means 6 and a quarter tiles will cover end to end of one side of the room. The order side will be 2.4/0.4=6. This means 6.25 rows and 6 columns.

Finally 6.25 x 6= 37.5 tiles to fill the room.

Since each pack is 12 pcs 37.5/12= 3.125packs
