Then,avoid d V6 if possible.
See gobe, has your mechanic duped you? You come transfer agression?

By sensitive trans you men using Abro ATF? Or any other Dexron 1 or dexron II ATF. Have you for gotten honda specified Dexron III, Honda Z1 or Honda DW1? Is using Abro ATF a mistake?

You buy chinko engine mount, i swear even the seller no go give you 1hr guarantee.

Bought my 2003 EOD in 2013, i have only changed 2 engine mounts (front and left) with toks and are still tight. I have changed 1 ps pump and 1 alternator in about 4years of using the car which i bought Naija used. Other things i changed are 1 inner CVT joint (inner cup), spark plugs, o2 sensor, valve cover gasket, exhaust camshaft, serpentine belt, tie rod ends, stabilizer and bushing and suspension wishbone main bushing. Its 4 years, and i have done over 70k miles. Even my coolant is still the factory installed.

Weight, are you comparing it to G wagon? Or BMW 7series? Compare it with 'big for nothing' and lets talk again.

God bless GEJ will flood this thread now.. just watch.
You must be dreaming, you have no idea how long this project and others have been running. Obj awarded all those contracts you think GEJ is reponsible for.

As far as am concerned, i cant point to 1 major contract GEJ awarded.

Small thing you guys say GEJ, when he was actually the most visionless president we had since 1999.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abuja_Light_Rail

Dont start telling me he paid for the progress. Obj didnt just set up projects, he set up funds that couldnt be interupted by successive govenments. It was part of the huge sums of money obj was accused of looting, instead he set up funds for projects that was inaccesible to government. Check out the NIPP. They build a trasnmission line and hand it over to TCN, build generating stations, sell it recoup the money and build another without government interferance. The money for NIPP is removed directly from federal allocation to all states and FG from where non has access to such funds. Only BPP has control on how such funds are spent but even they cant take money from it. Thats what OBJ did, not GEJ.

Besides 9 momths ago, this same project was at 70 percent, suddenly its 90. Who is working. Look at the huge number of contracts that got stuck for lack of funds unger GEJ.

Good work bro! Nigeria Railway is also there since August. This is what we need to do now if anyone has the twitter handle of all those powerful people i think we can as well follow suit or share those links here so that we can bombard them with messages
My uncle works for NRC and promised to do every thing within and outside his power to get me the job. He apologised just yesterday that he couldnt do anything because he was not even aware when the process even concluded.

He told me there was no aptitude test, no interview but all vacancies have been filled. He said, ppl just showed up with Appointment letters.

This was the same fate i got waiting for ITF interview results 3years ago.

I fear the FCSC and FiRS will go down the same way. Am losing hope on Nigeria. I hoped this government was going to put an end to the employment corruption in Nigeria. I blame the National Assembly which are fingered in every employment stalemate of government ministries and parastatals.

Like I said, I might not have the big grammar or plenty explanations of the car systems, cos naturally I despise long long stories, but like you pointed out, temporarily during that period of engine malfunction due to overheating the brake no longer performs well(due to the loss of vaccum), and you'll have to depress harder to get the desired result (mind you this is something I've experienced personally, not what I read on the internet), so as far as the mechanic is concerned, that's "brake failure" as a result of overheating, so, don't throw him under the bus, tnx
I didnt say due to overheating. The engine will self destruct or sieze long before the vacuum is lost because of overheating. I am saying engine over heating has nothing to do with brakes as long as the engine is running.
Car Talk › Re: Can Overheating Cause Break Failure? by adanny01(m): 12:41pm On Mar 12, 2017
valarinz:
Internet car gurus everywhere, so you also don't know that when you place you legs on your brake and it seems stiff, turning on the car engine makes it soften and goes down a bit more

So you're saying that even when a car engine goes gaga due to overheating in motion and you meet an emergency and depress the brakes it will still perform perfectly as when the engine is running fine. I've personally witnessed it on a couple of occasions oga, while driving and the vehicle overheats and the brakes also become stiffer and requires more pressing down to achieve desired results

At times it's best to leave commenting to the people who handle cars of different status on regular basis ie the mechanics/dealers, cos an issue which you've probably never experienced in all your years of driving your personal car is something they've had to encounter on a regular basis

For the OP, I might not have the diagrams or big grammar to illustrate my point, but your mechanic has a point, tnx
Its best to just give your opinion without critisizing others.

The Vacuum booster or vacuum servo assists the driver in pushing the break pedal using the engine vacuum. I am not aware or cant imagine how high engine temperature could affect this system. As long as there is vacuum input, the servo should work fine.

However, i tend to agree with you that a loss of vacuum may seem to a less vigilant driver like the break has failed but may only need to press the pedal harder since there is no assist from the servo.

What i cannot relate is the connection between engine temperature and break system. I personally feel there is none.

The avalon is a 2000 model, the camry's 2005 and corrolla's 2003(CE)
I think 2000 Avalon would not be suitable compared to 05 camry and 03 Corolla.

Your choice should be Camry or Corolla. The corolla willgive you best fuel economy.

Personally, i would prefer the 05 Camry in particular.

Shock absorber is the major problem of toyota Whether camry or corolla, so the better your roads the better for you.

I beg to differ on the handling. Though they are lighter, they certainly do not handle better on those roads. You will definitely have a better handling and driving experience on those roads with either the V6 Camry or Avalon. It won't matter for too long though because they will all get battered with time. Those roads are unforgiving. Except you have funds to constantly replace suspension parts with OEM or OEM level quality and keep up with the maintenance religiously
GAZZUZZ didnt say the handling is better. He meant to say Corolla being lighter will not go bad easily with suspension problems unlike the heavier camry or avalon.

Handling is usually better with heavier cars but the suspension gets more beating.
Car Talk › Re: Can Overheating Cause Break Failure? by adanny01(m): 8:32pm On Mar 11, 2017
GAZZUZZ:
the engine sits under the driver and front passenger. There is sufficient distance from engine to brake master, so in the event of engine overheating, the rise in temp should not cause a malfunction in the break master.

Over heating of the brake rotors caused by excessive braking could cause brake failure.
This is very interesting because i experienced something quite similar some days ago.

I was driving on a very bad road, Minna-Abuja road, not familiar with the road so i was speeding and breaking hard. Every thing was normal but at a point i felt my foot going down beyond usual at a pot hole. I parked, checked the break fluid level (ok), back in the car, the break pedal went flat all the way. Pumped it 3-4 times and it became strong. Let the car idle for 30 secs and the break went flat again. I attempted to drive to the next town but aborted when i almost hit a car from failed breaks. At this point the breaks will catch only after pumping like 7 times.

Parked the car and left it to cool for 5 mins and every thing became normal till today.

Am sure its not heated rotors as i know how that one feels after breaking hard.

I was thinking, was the master hot or what. Pumping it brings out bubbles in the reservoir. Also if i pump and it holds the fluid goes down to normal level, leaving it for 30 seconds the fluid returns to rsevoir and fills it beyond normal level. Ift over flowed once. It was a really strange event.

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

In addition to what GAZZUZZ suggested, i think you should do oil pressure test to be sure oil pump works. If this is bad, your engine will be dead soon if you continue driving.

PS: Am married.

I believe sex is complicated. She wants absolute dedication, he probably wants the family but doesnt find her sexually attractive. At the end, the son bears the brunt.

I know for sure that if i desire a divorce right now, the thought of my children wont let me go ahead as planned.

She should think of her son before plunging him into single parentage, its not the best.

TV/Movies › Re: Why Kemen Must Sue Big Brother! by adanny01(m): 9:02pm On Mar 09, 2017
pressplay411:
The answer is simple. Big Brother lacks the moral obligation to disqualify Kemen over his situation with Tboss when worse has been condoned.

The show itself reeks of immorality, period.
Several acts of immorality; sexual and non sexual have been perpetrated by contestants and condoned by the organisers of the show since it's inception. But what makes this special? Yes, ladies we agree it was a sensitive and delicate issue and in fact inexcusable, but were you expecting morality vfrom an immoral show?

Where were you when Debby Rise violated Bassey? Or it doesn't count when a man is the victim?
Or where was BigBrother when married TTT was being serviced by Bisola? Why didn't BigBrother (the informant) inform her of his marital status? Maybe that just wasn't immoral enough.

Perhaps the most hypocritical part on Big brother would have to be in 2007, remember the fingergate scandal between Richard and Ofunekka? How convenient that BigBrother even rewarded the culprit with the prize of the competition. But now disqualify Kemen for a less grievous act?

In conclusion, BigBrotherNigeria is not a realityshow that prides itself over it's moral standards, so to escalate this Kemen-Tboss situation to the level of disqualification was just plain hypocritical. Especially considering that TBoss didn't even lodge a complaint, rather BigBrother blew the whole situation out of proportion.

Kemen would henceforth be stigmatized and become victimized as a sex offender which would damage his relationship and business. He should and must sue for damages and in fact defamation of character.
I totally support him to sue.

His life has been made worst instead of better. T Boss is a biatch too. There is no way she didnt know what was happening, she turned and backed Kemen which means she is not passed out drunk, she didnt resist or protest which means she was aware but later denied after BB led her to.

Am so pissed off not because am Kemen's fan but for th believe that injustice was done to the guy.

We ar yet to finish with VIO, FRSC, Kastelea, Lastma, Highway police, SARS, operation yaki, Zenda, Lafia dole and the rest and now customs. This is apart from NDLEA, CTU, Anti robbery squad, Anti bomb suad, and the usless LGA revenue officers. It is out of place for customs to leave borders to start checking vehicle papers in the streets.
Car Talk › Re: Top 10 Most Problematic Cars To Avoid When Buying A Car by adanny01(m): 10:29pm On Mar 08, 2017
I dont think a car will bag the title best selling car and still be more problematic to the ones it beats to win. It beats every sense of logical reasoning.

Why did it win that title if it is Problematic? In Nigeria, that civic is a very common car but not as problematic as you make it seem.

How can excessive wear on rear brake pad translate to a problematic car?

If a firestone tire is known to explode, all cars with the same tire will automatically be problematic cars. If the user changes that tire does the car cease to become problematic?

I think problematic as a word needs to be redefined.

Hi guys. I need car advice. I drive a Honda accord 2000 (baby boy) and I noticed that the when the car has been driven for some time like during travel or I'm stuck in traffic, it won't rev above 3000rpm anymore. and when travelling it cannot go above 120km/h.if I try to accelerate it just jerks and cuts the speed down to below 100km/hr before it picks up again.
I've been to several mechanics with no solution. I've replaced fuel pumps, changed the thing they call sensors like 6 times. I've replaced like 3 "starting sensors (I think that's the crankshaft sensors. not sure) Iand I've changed like 7 "raising " sensor (I don't know the real name for that one). I have had my fuel pump casing washed with thinner and replaced. in fact I have serviced the injector nozzles several times. still nothing.
To top it all, my obd2 connector isn't working. suspect a fuse is blown and I don't trust the car electricians around.
so if anyone has had a similar problem solved I would really appreciate some guidance.
Your engine is probably VTEC which the raising sensor (intake VTEC solenoid and oil switch). It is common for a car with VTEC to enter limb mode from any problem with the system. I have also seen other sensors like camshaft position sensor, etc

I am a Civil Engineer, if i quote any concrete job as an Engr, it is only assumed its machine mixing. If a client wants hand mixing, i will advise against it.

Manual drilling is allowed to a limit, the issue on this is just a contract misunderstanding which favours the contractor. Thats why clients should contact also have someone review quotes they receive before contracting.

Some of us who are very honest never get these kind of jobs, clients want cheap quotes but most times dont see in between the lines.
