Its even worst than i thought. How will a government permit the killing of an endangered animal known to be territorial by nature. |
I would sit him down and ask him if he wants me to quit. His choice is final. |
Really graphic. RIP to the dead. Carelessness of those hummer bus drivers. However, what is with the wave of very graphic pics, is someone cashing in on them or what? Am a little confused? |
eherbal:He should fill the fuel tank not empty it. Petrol vaporizes into the air. An empty tank has alot of empty space to vaporize the small fuel that will remain so the best is to fill it so that there will be little space for the petrol to vaporize. Also, the petrol you will have in the tank when filled will be of better quality to one left on empty tank after 6months. Its easier when you come back to kick and go than have starting problems or go out to buy fuel in a jerry can. Spark plugs should not be removed as weather and debri can have access to the cylinder causing rust and dirt that will affect the engine afterwards. If it were a longer time it is recommended to fill the cylinders via the plug holes with engine oil. 6 months is relatively short. My best advise is to have someone drive the car to full operating temperature atleast once every 2weeks. That way nothing will happen as long as you trust the user to do only what you say or seek your permission if he needs the car for something other than your orders. I left my car for longer than 6months and nothing happened. I left it at my parents house which my dad will stroll out with it when he feels like atleast once in 2 weeks. He sometimes travel with it for 400km round day trip. I myself would came back for less than a week every 3months and use it in the period. If your house is fenced and secured, make sure you wash before parking. You can use kerb stones to store the car above ground without removing the tires. Thats just for the tires and dont forget to support car at jacking points not suspension. A cover cloth will also be a good one. |
seunbobo:MPG is not easy to read. 1 mile is 1.609km while 1 US gallon is 3.785litres. You can use that to make calculations. I prefer L/100km or km/L |
mezebel:In construction, a contractor can be said to be on site even if you dont physically see him there. |
NDPVF:There is every wrong with your school of thought. Your chief collected mobilisation for over 200million naira of Nigeria's tax payers money and you call it chicken change. He collected the sum in 2011 and has not done anything on the site, what does that tell you. He may be worth 5trillion naira but sure a fraud or over N200m can send him to jail while his trillions rot or gets enjoyed by his concubine. Next time use some sense. |
Superman11:I am sorry but it seems we come from different backgrounds. I was thought by the Bible to give respect. 1 Timothy 5: 1 Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him like a father; and the younger men as brethren. My parents thought me same too. I was thought same in school. Every community leader or elder when they have opportunity emphasize on respect for others if you want others to respect. That is also derived from the golden rule, "do unto others as you have them do you". An elder loses my respect only when he becomes irresponsible. That means all elders gain my respect by default and can only lose it or get more respect. Am sure you disrespect every one that comes your way until they do something to gain your respect. Where me and you disagree is that of probably where your political view lies. From your comments that i have read, you have never been in support of this government from day 1 as such will never see anything good from them. You've said that this government has not achieved anything in 2months. I wonder what you expect but for me, i have seen changes in the right direction and its ok for me. You have not seen good 2months ago and you will not see anything good till 2019 at the post thats when your opinion will really matter. Just continue wailing till then. |
Superman11:So if you see someone in role of responsibility you dont give him respect until he does something to deserve your respectm? How do you expect others to respect you? Every man is responsible until proven otherwise. Buhari is a father of the nation until he starts acting irresponsibly then you have an arguement. Its the same way a criminal is first a suspect until convicted. |
SouthernBreeze:Did you catch Ameachi with $2.1m in his possession? How can you just spew rubbish and call it "Lubbish". |
Thezoomustfall:Everyone who is convicted should be made governor, commissioners etc of state of people who think corruption is propaganda. |
Thezoomustfall:Really?! Are you a Nigerian at all? $2m was caught with someone cash and you call it propaganda? Am just tired of people like you. I wish people like you can be put in one community and put all known corrupt people as your leaders. |
IGBOSON1:Most really wild locations in Nigeria are game reserves. Those are the only really wild areas. Yankari game reserve in Bauchi is very large which animals live aa wild. I was lucky to see a pride of a lion as wild animals not to talk of the so many wild hippos. A grown male lion can leave his pride and stray out of the reserve but should just be killed in certain conditions. |
This is just wrong. Two wrongs dont make a right! I believe in punishment, somebody needs to got to jail for this crime as a deterant to other people. Goverment reserve department is also to blame for not going after the Hippo themselves and transfering it to a safer place. There are many game reserves especially in the north which are usually not fenced. Any animal can move out from the reserve area but it dosent have to end this way. |
Na wa o, na Ameachi wailers wan bring down by all means. Finally a petition was submitted against him but when eventually EFCC dont find anything against him, there will be serious wailing. I wonder why he has been convicted even before anyone can authentically claim or convince us of his corrupt nature or deeds. I have not seen a shred of evidence of corruption like i saw in stella Odua's case or the others that have been swept under the carpet right before our very eyes. All i see is accusations whithout proof or any susbtantiable story that i can easily believe. This one claims there is a sworn affidavit, how on this earth is a sworn affidavit an evidence for corruption? I can go to court and swear an affidavit that GEJ is my biological father and the court will just honour it. Or i can just swear an affidavit and take it to buhari as proof of my having affair with his wife Aisha and he will just divorce her. And if he refuses to divorce her, i start wailing how the president's wife is a cheater abi? |
denko:1st The real funny thing is that you regard your opinion as the truth that means any contrary opinion is a lie! You see why you are a wailer because you can only entertain truths that come from your own mouth or your fellow wailer's mouth. Let me make an example; on the claim by PDP that DG DSS is related to Buhari which PDP showed some evidences. Yes the evidences were in line but when Olisa Metuh was asked a question on channels TV several times, he vehemently refused to answer the question by diversion. That was because the answer could kill or injure the credibility of their evidence so he deliberately answered wrongly leading the anchor to specifically ask the same question almost a dozen times. In this case, Metuh knew the truth but since the truth does not favor him or his employers, he wont admit to the truth. People have various reasons to be blind to the truth or be baised. Metuh was just wailing out of bias. 2ndly It seems you believe PDP government didnt habour or encaurage stealing. You claim the truth but you are economical with it. PMB wasnt voted to probe, he was voted to deliver better governance than his predecessor who was thought to have encauraged corruption by not doing anything serious to stop it. By saying he should probe even himself is a deferment from the truth of reality. No man can probe every body including himself, we expect him to get scape goats that should set an example for the course of our future. PDP calls it witch-hunt but i call it justice. If one person is found guilty and another escapes the law when equal effort was made to bring both to justice, its still fair. What you want is to bring down the whole house because 1 or 2 occupants are going down. If you insist to have every body probed that means GEJ himself should stand trial and it will seem God himself isnt fair for always making a stingy man rich and a generous man poor which is usually the case. |
I think the word "wailers" in reference to PMB haters is a subtle one as against the ones they have directly called PMB a dullard and other ones they started out of lack of tolerance for a contrary opinion. Haters have not allowed peace to reign so what could be considered as a simple explanation in one word of their predicament is a very beautiful word called Wailer. It suits them very well while not being offensive at all. |
1.55 is seriously overpriced. |
noxide:Apart from diesel quality, experienced diesel car mechanics are no where to be found. With that situation, the available ones will be expensive and parts will be expensive and scarce. My office has a 2002 Toyota Prado 3.0 diesel which accelerates like a V8. I love its strenghts and the fact that its full tank has a very long range. |
Its obvious the second pic is not a tidy job. That means the gear is not supposed to be there. |
I am experiencing serious problems with the inverter. The inverter is deriorating everyday of use. On my display review i mentioned 3 of 4 bars of load level flashing when its not supposed to. Other problems have shown up one after the other. 1. 2-3 load level bars flashing 2. 1st bar of the load level is constant now even with no load 3. Battery mode display icon has disappeared even when inverter is on baterry mode 4. A/C mode display icon has disappeared even when the inverter is in A/C mode 5. When inverter is turned on while main supply is available it switches to battery mode and refuse to reenter A/C mode until i turn it off. It also stops charging as it is on battery mode even when there is PHCN/GEN supply. |
inze:Yours may be a problem inside the driver's door lock actuator. I remember when mine was opened, there was a switch that activates the other doors to lock taking cue from the drivers door. The lock/unlock button on the front doors dont depend on that switch or the keyless entry system. The system is a little complicated for my limited knowledge but can only guess an actuator problem, a broken harness or unplugged connector to the actuator. Was the door worked on before the problem started? On my own, the actiator motor was bad and replaced but after the panel beater who removed the actuator forgot to connect one of those connectors, it malfuctioned. I cant remember exactly how. |
igbizen:On the driver's door beside the door lock/unlock button there is another single button which is the main control switch for turning on or off other windows. The switch has a red stripe on it. Press it to come up to switch on other windows. I use it together with the child lock on rear doors to stop children from rolling down the glass or opening doors. Sometimes i use it to stop annoying passengers who usually will leave windows open when they alight from the car and becoming a security risk. Someone must have pressed urs. |
I have a 2003 accord. I had the jerking 2 or 3 occassions after car engine wash. It disappeared after 1-3 days driving. Your car only entered limp mode just like mine did. You car has no speed limiter so the speed may not be the actual cause of jerk but engine speed/rev which has a limiter. On my very first wash after buying the car, the limp mode was so low at about 1800 - 2000rpm (cant remember precisely). That limited my speed very low to less than 100km/h. On another instance, it was 3000rpm but this allowed me up to 120km/h but i would feel it when accelerating beyond the 3000rpm point. |
Review continued... Charging: it seem to be charging fine but i am worried. We usually have good hours of electricity, i am worried the battery will over charge due to the long hrs of charge it may get and whether the inverter has the capacity to drop its charging current when full. Display: After 4hrs of charging, i came home to find battery bars full from 2bars at time i left and 3 bars of load level flashing. I wonder what caused the load to start flashing when the load i connected is not enough to bring on 1 bar of 4. When i tested in my friends house with his 42" plasma and industrial fan, i had 1bar. Mine is a 32"LED and a small stand fan. When i left home threre was no bar on the load level but now 3 of 4 are flashing for reasons i cant phatom. Cooling: the fan remains on as long as there is mains supply and when inverter is on. Therefore its possible the fan will be overworked since its now obvious that it will work permanently with or without power supply. The fan needs rest but why didnt mercury design it to rest when not needed? Changeover: The change over on inverter mode of supply from mains to battery when mains from NEPA is lost isnt very perfect. While mains was on gen and fuel got finished, change was perfect. When i turn off input supply from socket, change is ok too. But once when we lost PHCN supply TV and DSTV decoder tripped of leaving Home theatre on. On another occasion, TV only tripped off and on again but DSTV and Home theatre remained on. Low voltage cutout: this one is impressive just like the manual says. Our PHCN voltage dropped to 92V but supply remained/charging and didnt cut out to battery. The real down side here is that unlike Luminous the mains cuts out too. The luminous only stops charging at its 100v cut out but continue send out mains no matter how small. I expect mecury to supplying what ever it recieves on inverter off mode and on inverter on mode transfer to battery when voltage drops below 90v. I have charged up to 12hrs now but charging last bar still flashes.

Preliminary review This is against Luminous ecovolt 900va 12 and Mercury 1.2kva 12v. Weight: Luminous weighs like more than half bag of cement (25kg atleast) while Mercury is like a Plastic chair that has no arm rest. Wave form: for the non tech savvy, it wont make sense. However, because Luminous is pure sine wave, it is absolutely quiet in operation while modified sine wave of Mercury sounds like walking under a 330kv transmission line popularly called high tension (the biggest kind). Its a bit irritating especially for sleep but TV sound will suppress it. I didnt notice the expected humming noise on the standing fan. Cooling fan: both have cooling fans. While that of Luminous comes on/off automatically depending on the temperature Mercury stays on so it is another irritating sound when you wish to sleep with the inverter on. Display: from afar you can deduce the status of Luminous but can only know Mercury is on/off. Luminous has bright green, red and orange lights. Green will tell you if inverter is ON or working on UPS mode, power supply and charging from afar. Red shows battery low and overload while the orange is standby. However, from afar, Mercury's blue LCD backlight says it is on but no other information can be seen. Closer, Mercury shows more info like battery level, load level, input and output voltages and others. Thats cool. Output: Luminous has one 15 amp round type while Mercury has three 3 flat type sockets. I prefer the Mercury on this. input: on inverter mode which is basic for my usage Luminous operates within 100-280v while Mercury is even better at 90-280v. We do get low voltage supply from PHCN in my area so this will help in charging even with lower voltage. This means when there is low voltage Luminous will cut out before Mercury. Good one though i have not tested this. I am yet to test charging time and status alert sounds. |
Thanks omotoda. I just recieved my inverter but felt heart broken when i held it and it was less than half as heavy as the Luminous 900va i got for my friend. Though its just above half of the price of the Luminous. I cross my fingers and hope it functions and charges my 200ah battery well.

viazi:I didnt buy any part in relation to this problem. The first one was water in my ECU and this one was a contact problem inside the park/neutral switch which was sorted out by cleaning the contact surfaces. |
I wrote an update but wasn't aware it didn't post before i went offline during the weekend. My issue resurfaced after leaving the mechanic but the car moves well even though the lights flickered. The mechanic proposed to buy another and replace but since my favorite mechanic was 200km away, i risked it. I arrived safe and in the morning went to him. He opened the the Park/neutral switch as shown in the picture shared by GAZZUZZ above. There was nothing strange as he had previously opened it during the last episode that gave rise to this thread. He sprayed the contacts with carb cleaner cleaning off all the grease. He then scratched the contact points with a flat screw driver and reapplied grease. He put back the screws and reinstalled. It worked like the new one the mechanic in Abj proposed. I appreciated him with N1,000 and he was very very grateful. It took about 20mins and could have been an easy DIY. This is how it looks from the inside as shown below. These are the symptoms of a transmission code related to the park/neutral switch or called transmission range switch in my case P0705; - Car won't start, no sound or click when you turn the key - P, R, N, D, D3, 2, 1 won't light up or some will not show or may flicker when shifter is at their position - Key stays stuck in ignition switch and won't come to zero (0) position or come out at all. - Shift lever stuck in Park even though brake switch tends to click - may start only in neutral Solution is either readjust switch, readjust shifter cable, clean corroded/dirty contacts and in worst case replacement of the switch.

Zizzle104:If you dont buy it you will miss a lot! This particular honda feels so good that if you dont pay attention every thing will fall apart. It is still carelessness or negligence for any one to have a fail suspension without noticing a warning sign. |
