You see this protests... People are not protesting just because of SARS.. People are angry and hungry and if care is not taken, it will be the beginning of anarchy in Nigeria. All that is remaining is for somebody to start sponsoring some armed militants to fight against the army and police and that's the end of Nigeria as we know it. As it is now people will readily join militant groups against this government if they see a strong and vibrant group.

I think you must be pseudo liberal to have loved my comments in the past , I'm liberal as well and that's a good thing.
I have moved around few Nigerian cities and I have been stopped for thorough search few times but I have never been shot , slapped or harassed.
I only hear about SARS brutality against innocent and calm people on Social media.
I do not keep a low cut, I will draw tattoos later in Life, I wear rugged jeans and baseball shoes or maybe it's because I'm not currently using an iPhone .
Now why I think you think I'm daft and why you should not conclude hastily:

The only people who have extorted me on the streets are Cultists . After a friend I visited around 5pm saw me off around 6pm and I was about to board a tricycle , heavily bearded men numbering 6 pushed the Keke to stop and brought me down. They said I was wearing a "wrong" colour for my Polo and sneakers. They held my phone and the necklace on my neck.

I knelt to beg because the necklace was my mum's costliest jewelry, pure gold with fragments of other precious stones (I borrowed it without telling her). I even told them I'm orphaned and my uncles will send me to prison. Since they were mostly drunks they told me to buy a drink 5000 for each of them. I called my friend I visited, who was surprised I didn't reach home and he brought 30,000 naira from home. They let me go and warned me never to wear those colours again. I repaid my friend through bank transfer the next day. That's why I started driving so that I would drive into a compound I visit and speed out when I'm done without harassment.
Since I started driving and obviously still swagging SARS have not extorted me up to 10,000 naira cumulatively. They've told me to come down and open the boot of the car, they have asked me for particulars and other details which I showed and informed them that I was running errands for my parents who own the car. The money I gave them was always 500 or 1000 naira to drink beer.
Endsars started trending and it was the celebrities who openly show the cults that they are affiliated with and their followers that were spearheading the movement. What about the #endcultism and fraud movement. Is it not what SARS people are fighting practically without social media support?

If you were in my shoes what would be your verdict?
If this very event which has turned out to be false as reported was distorted earlier by those who first reported it , why should I believe that most criminals don't also distort facts to paint SARS as bad?

The fact that your realities re different doesn't mean that the realities of others are not true or irrelevant... The Army, navy, etc are known to be brutal in their dealings with civilians but how times have people gone on to protest against them repeatedly almost every single year.

Truth is this people can't understand what ordinary Nigerians re going through because they live in FCT. If you stay in south south and move to FCT you will understand what I am saying. In Abuja the police is more organised and professional so they think its like that everywhere. That doesn't mean that when you see citizens complain about something repeatedly because it doesn't affect you, you feel its irrelevant. Everything na turn by turn.. One day e go reach you too.
