I had a dream where I was getting married to the love of my life... We were both happy but I kept on feeling being rushed and wishing I could take my time to give her the best wedding possible. It was as if the wedding was done in a hurry, I wasn't on my choice suit, the hall and decorations wasn't on point as I would have wished, guests were not that many, I forgot the wedding rings in the dressing room upstairs and while someone rushed up to get the ring, I asked the priest to use the bible in place of the rings. In the end we were happy to be married to each other but I felt we could have had a more colourful and hitch free wedding if we had given ourselves more time to plan and get ready.

For men it's better if he stays within his class or at most a step lower. For women it's better if she stays in her class or goes a step higher. But but jumping classes eg upper class jumping middle class and going for lower class takes a toil on both partners cos each social class has a different orientation and sense of reasoning.

Marriage is not Limitations ,it's not a Prison Yard .I had a Church Marriage and told the Pastor I am not going to any Registry. We were Blessed ,It was a simple Ceremony and that is how I choose mine .I don't have to follow a Protocol Laid by anyone .I do not owe anyone the Responsibility to show any Registry Certificate .I have built a Comfortable 3 Bedroom flats ,two kids and just one wife ,I told my wife categorically I am not in for Court / registry marriage or whatever you Call it and for your Information ,I already made a video and audio and Documents record of my Will ,Kept it in the Bank and a Lawyer is aware of it .I Hate the Idea of Na so U go do am because Na so Dem dey do am ,Says who ? Oga its not me you re married to. Everyone has their opinion and choice of marriage. The fact that you did a simple ceremony doesn't stop me or anyone else form having an elaborate wedding. When I say illiteracy or lack of knowledge it's due to the fact that a a woman who does not know that even with the church certificate from a registered and recognised church she's recognised by law as a legal wife can be kicked out of her home. Any reasonable person will definitely go and make his or her own research and choose the best option for him, its not my wife or kids that stand the possibility of being thrown out by relatives. Pls don't quote me again.

It's just illiteracy or lack of knowledge that is disturbing some people. BTW it is the same marriage certificate that you get in church for Christian marriage (if your church is registered) that you will get at the registry for a court marriage. Even a traditional marriage can be regularised and recognised by law. A marriage certificate from the courts will not prevent a woman from being thrown out empty handed esp in Nigeria. However its only a heartless man that will kick out his wife without commensurate compensation. Truth is most women that want a registry wedding also want a big church and traditional wedding .. Best way out is to ask her to pick 2 only out of the 3 and promise to stick to those 2, then you ll see that she ll drop the idea of a court marriage which is actually the cheapest and most recognised.
