ScamHunter:Wahala for who no understand English ooo. Pls read my comment again, but this time, do it slowly and gently. Afterwards go back and read what you wrote. |
Yankee101:I'm sure you know that the guy is not daft .... He'll be at the airport while the swearing in of the new governor of kogi state will be going on. |
kponkedenge:Guy, comments as yours is the reason why some people are reconsidering voting for Peter Obi. Who are the Igbos? Aren't they Nigerians? You should say they're trying to disenfranchise Nigerians in places where it seems like PO has upper hand and not make it sound so sectarian. If all tribes vote for their tribesman, I'm sure you know who the winner is going to be. Learn the PR thing or don't bother commenting jare. |
I thought he's been found alive some days ago! |
Even the blind could see it |
haleeberry:People are still not getting it... There's a fundamental issue in the country. Lemme break it down. Let's say you've just been made the branch manager of Bank ABC in one of their branches on the island. As the manager, you've asked for a report of your biggest customer to be spooled from the core banking application, and you want the list to show your top 50 wealthiest customers. If the first 20 on the list make up for 60% of your branch's CASA (ask your banker friends for the meaning), and you know that the performance of your branch depends heavily on your ability to retain these class of customers, then the new Naira policy came into effect, and those high class customers normally would not visit the branch for anything, they normally would call or email you to make their request. How would you have handled the situation if 10 out of those big customers called you to demand for 50 million Naira cash each of new notes? Plus, 7 of those 10 making it clear that if you don't provide the funds, their friend's son who works in bank XYZ has been poaching them to transfer their money to his bank, that they might want to explore that option while advicing their other big friends who banks with you to follow suit. You're looking at loosing potentially up to 10 trillion Naira deposit to competitor just because of cash withdrawal demand from 7 big guys. How would you handle the situation? |
Legitisreal:I'm not a Tinubu fan but you should pls bring down that picture.... The date reads May, 2021 and this is February 2023 man! Bring it down I take God beg you. |
incredible5:According to which constitution? |
chiefolododo:I take this your final submission as agreeing with me because it seems like you've fallen out of the argument. Presidential orders can only be potent on some matters that are yet to be tried in court or a matter that has a judgement passed on it by a competent court of law. His order cannot be passed on a matter that is still being presided upon by the court, else we will defeat the purpose of checks and balancing, or there won't even be a need to have a court in the first place since judgements can be bypassed by orders. |
chiefolododo:Normally, the judiciary (which the supreme court falls under) serves as a check and balance on the other arms of government. So when cases that are being presided upon by the apex court is being upturn right before judgement is pronounced, then where's the checks and balancing that is originally the constitutional power of the court? |
chiefolododo:Then you either don't understand what is meant by the word "supreme" or you don't understand that any order whether presidential or executive for that matter, does not have potency on issues that is still under hearing at a competent court of jurisdiction. Executive orders can come in after the court had made its final rulings, and there by upturn the court's judgement. This is what is obtainable when presidential pardon is granted to criminals. Buhari cannot grant presidential pardon to Abba Kyari (the super corp) while he's still being tried by a competent court of law. That's how it works, and same goes for a case that is still being debated in court. |
Interesting times we're in... |
We can only hope but the handwriting on the wall suggests that there might not be any elections... Fingers crossed. |
YinkaOlusesi16:Stop shifting the goalpost... If truly the problems of Nigeria predates this current administration, no wahala, can we please have our Nigeria back the way it was when you guys were sworn in? The military regime of who exactly? I guess you're still referring to that of Buhari when he was the head of state. |
Naija which way? It's actually got nothing to do with network. Their network is still functioning in top speed, but the challenge with those banks mobile apps is the sheer increase and unprecedented traffic they're experiencing. Mobile banking app users have increased tremendously since this draconian cash-trapped rule was set in motion. To those who think this jungle economics of draining cash in the system will curb vote buying or handicap politicians from malpractices at the forthcoming elections, you guys just need to think again. You're living in your own fantasy world. Naija na another planet on its own o... In other planets, leadership is about easing the pains of citizens and making life easier for them but in our own planet, punishing the people is actually interpreted as good governance. I'm still waiting to see anything positive about the whole NIN madness when we already have BVN |
jeromestarks:I was told to pay same 800 Naira for just 10k by a POS operator yesterday..... I feel the POS agents at your area are still God fearing compared to the demons here. Most of them even say they can only disburse 2k or 100 naira for every 1k. |
Naija na another planet on its own. |
jmoore:You don't have to call anybody names before you criticize their opinion. Life no hard o, na you no jus wan stop to dey wear armor upandown... Tell us what to do instead and not just come online to insult anyone you see or deem fit. |
honour7:They're a million and one ways to do that without alerting EFCC and every one of them know it except you. Between 80 to 90% of them have filling stations and we all know these stations deal in cash. Hope you can use your tongue to count your teeth now? |
kingsways:Buhari as a calamity is not a coincidence if you take into account the kind and pedigree of people we have in this country.... I have carefully held my thoughts to myself from your first post until you made this comment. When you say Nigerians are corrupt, is it the commoners who rely solely on daily buying and selling as their means to an end that is corrupt? For your information this draconian law is actually targeted at a minority few but the effects will be on 200 million Nigerians. Funny thing is that the few people he's trying to deal with will seamlessly call the MDs of their bank to ask for the new notes and trust me, those funds will be delivered to their homes. It is your type and kinds that surrounds Buhari and they're the ones drumming up support for all these madness. The same way he closed boarders hoping that it'll make Nigerians go to farm without tackling his kinsmen that are killing farmers and keeping people away from farms. |
Election is approaching true true |
@op, this is the easiest case I've ever seen. Lemme gi e you the hint on how to go about it. Tell your current employer to give you another legit employment letter with a different job role that's different from anything related to your original field at your former company. Make sure you sign it with the exact date you signed when you actually got the job.... I mean postdatedly. Then get a competent lawyer and gallantly walk to court on the said date with your lawyers. Present your employment letter that shows you're actually working as something else different from what you really are..... Make sure all documents relating to what you really are is trashed or kept away from police or the court. It is your word against their. You now work in another company, not theirs, and they can't say they have facts about another company when in fact, the legal documents (i.e your employment letter) says otherwise. |
MEGA4BILLION:The bank doesn't have any business with you.... They charge the company that owns the POS that you use and the company in turn, pass the burden to you... Or does Opay have any bank of their own ni? |
Goodlady:So what will be your fate if you're unable to settle down fast as you'd wished? Would it be nice if your siblings turn their back at you because there's a daughter of Jezebel somewhere that doesn't like family members (in this case you) visiting? This female gender se, na God go help una! |
Goodlady:Flip the table and imagine you're the sister of that young man....how will you feel hearing what you just said from your fellow gender? You're not talking sense abeg! If you're lucky to have made the right choice on the kind of man to marry, do you not have any sympathy for those who genuinely thought they made the right choice but ended up with the wrong man? Or in your world, those kind of ladies should go and perish because your kind are lucky and there's no place those the unlucky ones. Women are the number 1 problem of their gender. |
MEGA4BILLION:And who told you banks don't still make money from the 100 Naira you're charged by the POS operators? Dey play you hear... |
nairalee:I kid you not, that's the first thing that crossed my mind as I saw the headline. |
Maxitomxane:Gaá as in Fulani settlement... Like how they'll say Gaa Imam |
Maxitomxane:Smiles.... I'm from kwara State myself so I can relate. Go to their local market and tell them you want to buy adiye gaa... That's what they call it. |
Maxitomxane:If that picture is anything to go by, I can confirm to you that those are not Fulani chicken. They're usually very tall and big. You'd notice their unusual hight and body mas. Although not in anyway or form as massive as boilers but they compete well with slightly above average sized Kroiler birds. Their main advantage over Kroiler or noiler is their decease resistance just like our normal locals. |
Siberia01:In this clim, it's a news because this sort of project is not common. How many states in Nigeria can boast about something like this? |
