Am so sorry for this south-south morons, you and ur kind will be dumped in garbage of history. The south-south people are truly answering their fathers name, FOOLS. The south-south currently have the opportunity to develop her region but no they choose to fight, did shell, chevron, agip and the rest dig ur brains with the oil? That the leaders of the region can't forgo personal interest for the interest of the populace. If you think Nigeria a is burden on ur oil, u need not wait any longer because each tribe will soon go her ways. Obasanjo tried with tinubu, withholding the state allocation for months but today Tinubu is a king maker. Obviously the region has no leaders talk-less of elders becos if they have elders they will not sit and be watching some brainless people destroying what some people have fought for with their lives. The elders should rise up and defend this region, beco not all leaders are elders and the voice of elders is the voice of gods filled with truth, justice and warnings. |

The Egyptian army has overthrown President Mohamed Morsi, announcing a roadmap for the country’s political future that will be implemented by a national reconciliation committee. The head of Egypt's armed forces issued a declaration on Wednesday evening suspending the constitution and appointing the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Adly al-Mansour, as interim head of state. Morsi's presidential Facebook page quoted the deposed president as saying he rejected the army statement as a military coup. In a televised broadcast, flanked by military leaders, religious authorities and political figures, General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi effectively declared the removal of Morsi. Sisi called for presidential and parliamentary elections, a panel to review the constitution and a national reconciliation committee that would include youth movements. He said the roadmap had been agreed by a range of political groups. Morsi was believed to be holed up at a Republican Guard barracks in Cairo, surrounded by barbed wire, barriers and troops, but it was not clear whether he was under arrest. Islamist supporters of Morsi who have gathered in a Cairo suburb reacted angrily to the announcement by the army. Some broke up paving stones, forming piles of rocks. Muslim Brotherhood security guards in hard hats and holding sticks formed a cordon around the encampment, close to a mosque. Men and women wept and chanted. Denouncing military chief Sisi, some shouted: "Sisi is void! Islam is coming! We will not leave!" Speaking shortly after Sisi's announcement, liberal opposition leader Mohamed ElBaradei said the 2011 revolution that ousted Hosni Mubarak was relaunched and that the roadmap meets the demand of the protesters for early presidential elections. Egypt's leading Muslim and Christian clerics also backed the army-sponsored roadmap. Ahmed al-Tayeb, Grand Sheikh of Al- Azhar, Cairo's ancient seat of Muslim learning, and Pope Tawadros, the head of the Coptic Church, both made brief statements following the announcement by the head of the armed forces. Tawadros said the plan offered a political vision and would ensure security for all Egyptians, about 10 percent of whom are Christian. Egypt's second largest Islamist group, the Nour party, said in a statement that it agreed to the army roadmap in order to avoid further conflict. Morsi, Egypt's first freely elected president, came under massive pressure in the run-up to Sunday's anniversary of his maiden year in office, with his opponents accusing him of failing the 2011 revolution by concentrating power in Islamist hands. The embattled 62-year-old proposed a "consensus government" as a way out of the country's worst crisis since the 2011 uprising ended three decades of authoritarian rule by Hosni Mubarak. But the United States urged Morsi to "do more" as a military deadline passed for him to meet the demands of the people following a week of bloody unrest during mass protests calling for him to quit. The advice came too late, however, as the army said al-Mansour, a previously little known judge, would become the new leader of the Arab world's most populous country. m.aljazeera.com/se/20137319828176718 |
Round 1!!!! Gbagan!!! |
I wonder how some Northern politicians think, you want to form your own political party but what you are doing is systematically dividing the country. How do you convince a yoruba man like me to vote for a party majorly dominated by Northerners, not to talk of convincing an Igbo man or the south-south person for that matter. They should do their survey and see how many Nigerians are feeling the impact of government, everybody is suffering not only the north. Correct me if am wrong majority of the ministers in this present administration are from the north, so where is the exclusion. Here is my suggestion for the northern leaders, you people should embarked on comprehensive development, from education to agriculture, urban development, job creation, security and so on by so doing the monies allocated to the region would be judiciously used and the most important is that they should continue to put Nigeria first rather than their region. |
Nobody could have said it better, bow out when the ovation is still loud, with this words you said I pray that God will continue to bless you, for knowing the truth and for saying it and not like some people who knows the truth but have choosing to be quiet God is watching you in HD. |
U fear bastor sorry pastor... Christianity indeed. |
This politicians have started again, they forgot how oboabana a sun-shine star player solve the problem of our defence and how sunday mba single handedly won the nations cup for us. For the very first time, we saw a team in the making, we believed in them, they are focus, ambitious and progressive. They should live the Man alone, and let him do his job. He said how can he choose home- based players against spain? This shows the reason why our leagues has refused to developed, am sure he will prefer a foreign coach that would not contribute anything to the development of the locally based players, 50% of the 1994 and the 1996 players were mainly home-based players. We need people that will develop our football not administrators. |

I so much love the song!!! Good work Bankyyyyyyy!!!!! |
Now am starting to worry seriously about the future of this country, a situation were we can't even set up an institution to recognise talents and show them the way forward. There should be a centre where a kid like this can go, exhibit what he can do and all the necessary things he needed to grow will be made available to him. If a kid with such talent can't even have access to something so small as PC ( Personal Computer) then we are not making anyway forward yet. This story remains me of my own predicament too during my final year project in school, the project was about solving the problem of election rigging in Nigeria using biometrics option, all I needed then was a set of touch screen computers or surface computer as it is called in computer terms, it was frustrating to the point that I had to reduce or should I say cut my cloth according to my pocket. Seriously we need to start thinking in this country, we need to put right our policy formulation system, we need to set an agenda for ourselves and know where we are heading. And one of our major problem is that we are relaying so much on an educational system that has failed in it entirety, where student don't even know the meaning of education or why they are in school. |
What can I say.... Am a Nigerian!!! If you don't like me, u can go jump from third-main bridge, I will watch wit pleasure... |

I work in an hospital environment, and I know this doctors are well payed, but if they are fighting for increase in their salary or in any sort of allowance, I will say that's a very callous attitudes from the doctors but if they are asking for better facilities to be able to treat the patients better, I will totally supports them. |
My boys have done it again!!! |
For those who are clamouring for a christian governor in Lagos, here you have one and for those who are clamouring for a muslim governor, here u have one too. My point is, been a muslim does not mean that person is not a human being, this is muslim governor that did bible studies while in school and yet some people will think they know it all. Am a muslim and I want to see a muslim as the governor because I believe Islam teaches us how to govern a society in peace, equality and order but I cannot support an armed-rober beco he/she is a muslim, neither will I support a prostitute bco she's a muslim. My point is everybody is equal before God either muslim or christian we will all be held accountable for our actions. I say a well deserved happy birthday to you in advance sir and may u continue to live long. Please don't relent in making sure Lagos continues to trend on the path of Glory. |
All this private universities are greatly contributing to the downward level of education in Nigeria. they not only produced low quality graduates and with low moral standard. |
