Will the Earth Be Destroyed?

No, planet Earth will never be destroyed, burned in fire, or replaced. The Bible teaches that God created the earth to be inhabited forever.

“The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”​—Psalm 37:29.

“[God] has established the earth on its foundations; it will not be moved from its place forever and ever.”​—Psalm 104:5.

“The earth remains forever.”​—Ecclesiastes 1:4.

“The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, . . . did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited.”​—Isaiah 45:18.


Will humans ruin the earth?

God will not allow humans to ruin the earth completely by pollution, warfare, or any other means. Rather, he will “bring to ruin those ruining the earth.” (Revelation 11:18) How will he accomplish that?

God will replace human governments, which have been unable to protect the earth, with a perfect heavenly Kingdom. (Daniel 2:​44; Matthew 6:​9, 10) That Kingdom will be ruled by God’s Son, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 9:​6, 7) When on earth, Jesus exercised miraculous powers over natural elements. (Mark 4:​35-​41) As the King of God’s Kingdom, Jesus will exercise full control over earth and its elements. He will re-create, or renew, conditions on earth, making them similar to those that existed in the garden of Eden.​—Matthew 19:28; Luke 23:43.


Doesn’t the Bible teach that the earth will be burned in fire?

No, it does not. Such a misconception often comes from a misunderstanding of 2 Peter 3:7, which says: “The heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire.” Consider two important points that help us understand the meaning of those words:

The Bible uses the terms “heavens,” “earth,” and “fire” to refer to more than one thing. For example, Genesis 11:1 says: “All the earth continued to be of one language.” Here, “earth” refers to human society.

The context of 2 Peter 3:7 indicates the meaning of the heavens, earth, and fire mentioned there. Verses 5 and 6 draw a parallel with the Flood of Noah’s day. On that occasion, an ancient world was destroyed, yet our planet did not disappear. Instead, the Flood wiped out a violent society, or “earth.” (Genesis 6:​11) It also destroyed a kind of “heavens”​—the people who ruled over that earthly society. Thus, wicked people were destroyed, not our planet. Noah and his family survived the destruction of that world and inhabited the earth after the Flood.​—Genesis 8:​15-​18.

Similar to the waters of the Flood, the destruction, or “fire,” of 2 Peter 3:7 will bring an end to the world of wicked people, not to planet Earth. God promises “new heavens and a new earth” in which “righteousness is to dwell.” (2 Peter 3:​13) A “new earth,” or new human society, will be ruled over by “new heavens,” or new leadership​—God’s Kingdom. Under the rule of that Kingdom, the earth will become a peaceful paradise.​—Revelation 21:​1-4.

I just got married to my wife and she just completed her degree program in school and next is clearance, certificate issuance and mobilization for NYSC.

My issue here is this,we just also legalised our marriage at Ikoyi registry in Lagos and we have the certificate.

Should we go for her change of name by getting affidavit and news paper publication so it can reflect in her school certificate as well as NYSC name OR we should leave it like that till after her service?

If we go ahead to do it how fast will it be done I mean in reflecting on her school certificate.

This is a major call for concern. I engaged 3 ladies today on a facebook chat and they were all single mothers. It seem to that guys has come to the awareness that marriage seem to be a scam. So when I was in primary school(2012),I was in class playing with my friend,I mistakenly fell and hit my forehead on the ground and that particular spot swelled up,I didn't care to massage it,I Thought the swelling will go down by itself (silly me).

Brothers and sisters,The swelling refused to shrink,it kinda got more bigger by the day sef.Its been 10 years now ,The wound is still there, although it doesnt pain me when I touch it But it's affecting my self esteem.

Hi everyone, so I met this beautiful babe June this year and we started dating three months later. We genuinely loved each other and we had a relationship that people envied.

We trusted each other so much that I had access to her google account and all her personal info on my laptop, while she also had mine on her phone to cut the long story short, I have a problem of always getting worried whenever she is not home and I can't reach her for example if she leaves in a bolt and the journey is 30minutes but she is not reachable one hour later I start to worry and call people I feel are at home and even the bolt rider.

On this particular day, she had a meeting with her colleagues which just came into the country, she shared her live location but it was last updated an hour ago, she was not picking her calls and it was 11:45pm mind you she was in Ikeja and lives at lekki so she was still going to Lekki that night in this dangerous December month in Lagos. I called and called but she did not pick then I got so worried and went to her google contacts to get her boss number and called him. He told her I called and that is how trouble started.

She explained that nobody has his number and she is the middle man between him and clients so his number getting into my hands without her permission means his company info is not safe. She said I have destroyed all what she labored to build over the years and blocked me everywhere (phone, whatsapp, snapchat) and left me with only instagram access. I have been begging her since last night when this happened, but she only unblocked me to tell me not to call her again and blocked me back.

I have been trying to explain to her that relationship and marriage is full of challenges so she should not let this one destroy what we had but she has been ignoring me. If I call with a different number she hangs up immediately she hears my voice.

We were already talking about marriage and in fact, I had already started making arrangements for a proposal next year.

I swear I really love this lady with everything that I have and I know for a fact that she loved me too but right now I am confused I am wondering how she was so much in love with me yesterday morning but doesn’t even want to hear my voice today. She went as far as threatening to get me arrested if I come close to her house. I am really confused and need mature advice on what to do to save this relationship because right now I can’t focus on anything. Plus I trust her so I wasn’t calling because I thought she was doing something silly.

Good morning. A little help here.
1. Does the UK Home Office check bank statements (foreign currency) for a UK student visa on the latest currency rate or the rate that was on the day of application submission?

2. What if one applies today and submit documents tomorrow what rate do they use?

Thank you. I just checked the business account statuses, it’s still active . I got my Tin number last month and I should have had an inflow of not less than 200k Monthly. Not so sure for every month for the past 6months

I applied for a Schengen visit Visa to Sweden and my application was refused/rejected for these reasons.

I was refused a visa for
1) economic/ security situation in Nigeria

2) I did not show a Proof my financial well-being (bank accounts). Note: I had an invite who is paying for all my expenses


3) My application reads self employed, I did not show a proof of the company I own or it’s financial assets

4) I have never traveled and returned from a Schengen state.


How best can I appeal my Visa rejection
