richmond500: Pls, no insult biko, if u disagree, just say ur point with minimal insults
He(Oyedepo's) never wished for govt to ban social media or total restrictions but he supports regulation of social media and addiction to it. Believe it or not, there are a lot of people that misuse social media, even on NL, go to investment and business threads, and u won't see any meaningful discussion except bet9ja, meanwhile we spend most times on NK, Tinubu, Ipob, Yoruba, Ijaw, escapades and other non valuable threads than we do on investment threads (I am also guilty of that).
His opinion is that, if these continues, we will loose some of the youths to the serpent called social media, people who naturally are destined to be giants when our era finally kicks off will be destroyed. This isn't time to attack him but I think we should discipline ourselves and also spend time in building our future. U have time.. |

Ikwerelastborn: we just saw on the front page a thread coming from oyedepo for regulation of social media .uet same oyedepo was crying foul when the same FG wanted to regulate the church,.
I think the church should be the one to be regulated since they're many miscreants masquerading as pastors and scamming people . The government wanted to appoint governmental heads over the churches ...that’s not regulation of service to the public ....that’s taking over people’s personal establishment for financial gain..... When government wanted to regulate Twitter, did they tell Twitter they will appoint a head over the owner that can even sack the board of Twitter??.... U are the hypocrite here jare...there are many things to bash churches for as the church is not perfect...this one u raised is not one of them. Go and set up you own establishment and allow the government appoint a head over u, let’s see if u will smile and shout .....say baba!! |

softwerk: Fulani, also called Peul or Fulbe, a primarily Muslim people scattered throughout many parts of West Africa, from Lake Chad, in the east, to the Atlantic coast. They are concentrated principally in Nigeria, Mali, Guinea, Cameroon, Senegal, and Niger. The Fulani language, known as Fula, is classified within the Atlantic branch of the Niger-Congo language family.
Intro culled from The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica
The Fulanis: A misunderstood tribe by Softwerk:
The emergence of the Fulani empire after Danfodio's holy war of 1810 revealed the strength in the unity of the Fulanis. However, recent turn of events from the rise of insecurity in our schools, farms, forests and highways have continued to point to the direction of this misunderstood tribe. Killer Herdsmen, Bandits, Terrorists and even links with Boko Haram and ISWAP are recent unfortunate and mostly uninformed tags to the Fulanis in Nigeria.
I was personally born and raised in the Northern parts of Nigeria and can say without political prejudice that the Fulanis are generally peaceful, accommodating and a completely misunderstood tribe and as a result of this obscurity, political gladiators have continued to reap the "juicy" dividends from scoring cheap points from the propaganda that comes with our current insecurity challenges with this tribe particularly in focus.
I remember during the 1991 religious riots in a particular North-Eastern state when our Fulani neighbor Hajiya Binta (God bless her endlessly) in the heat of the killings of Christians and the burning of homes and churches personally offered that our family come to hide in her house until the crisis was over..... Greater Love hath no man than this.........! (John 15:13).
Historically, the Fulanis are culturally herdsmen and pastoralists. This has been passed on from generation to generation. Cows have been their currency for the settlement of bride price, dowries and settlement of conflicts and even in the purchasing of assets. The Fulanis are pastoralists and move from place to place in search of new grazing grounds to feed their cattle. This is the genesis of the perennial Herdsmen and Farmers conflicts! This however may have taken different dimensions in states like Benue, Plateau and Taraba but like I previously opined, have been politicized and blown out of proportion by our politicians mostly for personal and political interests.
Our Eastern brothers in their call for secession should remember the number of houses, assets and chains of businesses they own in states where the Fulanis dominate in the Northern parts of Nigeria.
In every Northern state I have lived in, there exists residential areas named Igbo Quarters where hundreds of our Eastern brothers peacefully live and raise their families without harrassment. During the day, they go to their business places in almost ALL major streets and EVERY market to trade peaceful.
Despite the heightened tension and eviction notices from trouble-makers issued to the Fulanis in the Southern and Eastern parts of Nigeria, no single newspaper, radio or TV station has published or broadcast any report of Igbos leaving the North!
While I will continue to advocate for social justice, peace, equality and equity in our government sphere and political cycles, I will also draw your attention to the fact that the Fulanis due to their pastoral culture and remote locations did not enjoy western education. (FACT). God bless Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his campaign for nomadic education during his time as President. Most of those still practicing their culture of open grazing may not even be up to date with recent developments due to their deficiency in western education (FACT). Little wonder you still see innocent herdsmen grazing their cattle in an Eastern primary school recently despite the heightened tension in the region.....Did any journalist or reporter interview the herdsman to know if he ever heard about the ban on open grazing?!! Was he also armed with an AK-47?!
Killer herdsmen are not all Fulanis and not all Fulanis are killer herdsmen!!!
Bandits are not all Fulanis and not all Fulanis are Bandits!!!
Let us encourage Unity and Oneness!
Let us mend the religious divide and live as one. Afterall, whether Christian or Muslim, we are all children of Father Abraham and pray to the same God!
Cc: seun, lalasticlala, mynd44 Is it religious divide that told Fulani herds men to enter into people’s farm without being considerate. ...we have always had Fulani among us...they never behaved this way until the we brought a cow-loving Fulani as president.... I met a Fulanis who said they were told Nigeria now belongs to them....if u don’t know there’s a Fulani domination agenda u are just being naive and not being truthful... All of a sudden, the government is forcing people’s personal business (cow rearing in states) on states. Making us provide land to Fulani for free in the name of promoting agriculture....it’s just irritating ... Take ur tribe marketing elsewhere....like my guy said up there...u can’t sell a bad product joor |

Strategy...it’s called strategy....a local proverb says when u want to catch a monkey.. u will have to behave like a monkey.... The same complaint u are making is what trump complained about in the US... people that were saved from Islamic domination and violence in places like Oman and Syria, given citizenship, free education, are now in parliament trying to bring Islamic paroles into law in the name of freedom of religious expression......it’s funny... |
Politics › Re: Why Do Muslims Love Feudalism And Dictatorships? by advanceDNA: 9:00am On Jun 17, 2021 |
DiagnoPolitics: The biggest supporters of feudalism, totalitarianism and dictatorship are the muslim community in Nigeria. Yet they pretend to be "democrats" only when at the receiving end or when in opposition. But once they grab power, they go all out killing, maiming and imprisoning opposition and critics?
We saw this in Egypt when the muslim brotherhood pretended to be democrats and took power only to start mowing down opposition. We are currently seeing this in Nigeria now with Mohammed buhari who proclaimed himself "a converted democrat" at the Chatham while gallivanting in UK to seek allies in order to grab power prior to 2015 elections, while Lai mohammed his Goebbelian propandist deploying all his social media handles to promote incendiary attacks on that Government.
They finally grabbed power and "gbam', they have removed their false masks of "democracy' and have gone full blown dictatorial with muslims their greatest supporters in the clampdown on free speech, use of social media and other democratic values.
Can we discuss this? Their religion come first.... Islam is domineering, doesn’t accommodate another religion as majority or the free democratic law...until sharia is installed..it’s auto-jihad(which may be silent by using government to pass law and full scale like bokoharam and iswap... They believe is their right as Muslims and service to God to see Islam dominate and other religion eliminated |

harley88: Hi guys,
Pls I need the advice of the public here. I have been an ET with bank A for about 20 months now at the bank’s head office in a department I don’t like and that doesn’t have a career path. So I’d basically be doing the same thing for years to come. The pay is basically 200k which is quite comfortable monthly. I have tried changing departments within the bank all to no avail. I want to leave the Dept asap so I don’t get stuck there due to age. I’d be 25 later this year.
I started the Entry level recruitment for Bank B a month ago, maybe to start again as an ET probably in a better department with a better career outlook. Right now, I am almost into Bank B’s training school. Bank B pays lower than Bank A, but comes with better perks such as a car. But I’m worried about having to start again and lose 20 months of work experience. The issue is I’d have to be in Training school for some months and collect about 25% of my current salary monthly until TS is over. Also, I don’t know what Dept I’d be posted to assuming I take the Bank B job offer.
What advise can you give me pls?? Also note both banks are in the top four banks in the country.
Should i remain in Bank A and keep trying a change of department or a change of Bank as an experienced hire which is a very slim chance
Or
I take the ET job and start all over from Training school in bank B What do you mean by loose 20months experience?? Oga u are no longer in the university.... U can’t lose job experience.... |
