Family / Re: My Son's Behavior Is Getting Out Of Hand by Advision: 10:17am On Mar 27, 2022
klassyguy:
I appreciate all the comments, suggestions, and criticisms from everyone. Some of the comments reminded me of some things I have observed of him.

1. He does seem to be technical. My son talks about trains, fire engines, and other stuff. He has several toy trains and he is always taking them apart and tries to put them back together.

2. Contrary to some comments, I manage their screen time. They do not watch anything or play the PS5 until the weekend. The games he plays are not violent. I intentionally have Parental Control on the console, and he only asks me to download his train simulator, Firetruck games, and once in a while he plays the Lego Jurassic park.

3. He knows he gets to only play during the weekend. So he doesn't even bother asking for the PS or even logging into Youtube until Saturday or Sunday. He does not go behind my back to play it while I'm not hime, and if he does want to play on weekends and I'm not home, he always calls me on his mom's phone to ask for permission first. Most of the week, he just plays with his toys and lego bricks.

Like some of you fine people said, he may be bored at the level he is and needs something more challenging. I remember one day I caught him watching something out of the norm. I insisted he showed me what he was watching. The kid was shaking that day. Only for me to see a video on how airplanes work. I asked him why he was scared, and he told me he thought I will slap him for watching something other than kids stuff on YouTube. another day he asked me if we can continue to watch the video I was watching on History channel. I asked him which video, and he said "Bismarck". I was surprised he knew about it, and when I asked him what it was, he said it was a big battleship that shoots. Right now as I type this, I can see him watching something about the design of school buses.

I plan on setting up an appointment to see his pediatrician this week to rule out the ADHD.

Thank you all and I will keep you all posted.

Bro, you're not alone. I have a son that about behaves this exact way except he is three years old. I also suspect attention deficit disorder.

It has gotten so bad, my wife is scared and embarrassed to take him outside because he can very easily throw a feat of tantrum.

On my part I must carry or hold him while strolling or else bros will get lost looking left and right.

I have also considered and still consider having him raised in Nigeria till he is at least 6 or 7 years and can properly understand instructions with proper discipline installed. His situation is putting a strain on us too...I have even started praying about his situation.

Yes, this is a big possibility, but the real truth is that there ain't so many countries rich in oil and gas, and capable in technology, and with a stable government able to prevent war from Russian territories. So investors will readily lend to Russia, again and again as long as they issue that directive for Payment and the funds exist. Who is more risky to lend to, Russia or Nigeria?

Now I know many argue blindly here. Only government held investment funds with a political mandate symphathic to russia will be willing to invest in their debt market right now.

Even their stock and capital market remains closed because most international companies are are the door waiting to exit the economy.

Neither the economy of russia nor ukraine will come off better from this war

Queen to D7; Check!

Nothing to check bro... in the near future when the government goes to the market to raise funds. They will know the implication of their actions.

The private sector will also struggle to refinance or issue new bonds with very high interest rate to compensate for the risk of non-payment

Dear Concerned friends,

After leaving me for almost two months which I did make mention here on this platform for no just reason, my wife is back on her own will with our little kid but I cannot fathom any positive change in her character, instead she is irritable, never wants anything intimacy, disrespectful and unsubmissive and extravagant despite the harsh economy.
.....

Thanks for your input in advance.

Oga you are OYO. Let's hope it doesnt really go down hill from here for you.

I recall along side others advising you not to allow her back except she can genuine and deep remorse not just from her but from her parent.

Business / Re: Lagos Not For Me: Osun Man Laments As He Pays 600 For Printing A 3-Page Document by Advision: 6:02pm On Mar 09, 2022
KOPArespect:
I am Osogbo base but went to Lagos yesterday for an interview, i didnt print a copy of my CV so i decided to branch a business center to do so. the good thing is that the shop was open even as early as 7 a.m compared to Osogbo people that wont open shop until 10 a.m and even 12 pm sometimes.

I entered into the shop and met a lady who asked me to transfer my file to the company mail which i did... grrrrrr document came out and i open my wallet with dignity and gave the lady 1000 expecting change of 850... but to my surprise, she gave me #400, at first, i didnt say anything thinking maybe she is still trying to find the rest of the change.

Then this lady sat down and continue with another customer document, i then said "excuse me, my change is not complete" i was moved to tears when she told me its #200 per page. i couldnt say anything as i have to respect my suit and tie and package my self out of the Cafe.

i went out of the shop and noticed my shoe is dusty and i need to shine it which normally cost #50, i saw one aboki by the road side, I pulled out my shoe and put on the slippers he offered me. just as he was dusting the shoe, my spirit just told me to ask for the price and to my surprise, he said #100... i didn't know when i screemed "for shinning shoe?" oga dont worry, gimme my shoe back... nah so i take commot for his front and use my hand take dust am

Its both ways bro.

How many jobs in osogbo can pay entry level 200-300k net? You are poised to make more in Lagos

Learn to love yourself and appreciate who you are.

If its looks, some of the brightest and most successful women in Nigeria are not the fairest e.g Okonjo Iweala, Oby Ekwesili and many others.

You'll be fine when you learn to appreciate yourself for who you are.

Foreign Affairs / Re: EU Decides To Provide Weapons Worth €500 Million To Ukraine by Advision: 6:59am On Feb 28, 2022
Mynd44:
You mean the EU is about to commercially make sales on an ongoing conflict? This is what the issue has always been, the West takes every chance to sell weapons to sides during a conflict.

They can get involved directly but they refused. They could have not nudged Ukraine into a war they know they can't handle, they refused.

They could have given then these weapons for free too but this is the EU and US. Money is the most important factor which they will book as a loan to Ukraine with crazy interest rates when Ukraine will need money to rebuild

EU is buying and giving to Ukraine as lethal aid (not selling). Ukraine is a country of 40million plus people, the sheer displacement of millions of refugees is a threat to the EU. So really they have to act and Putin was well warned not to invade.

Incase you didnt know , india fought pakistan over same issue when they invaded west bengal (now bangladesh)

And so what if he envisaged it. Doesn't mean he wouldn't face the economic consequences. Putin is not the strategist many of you think he is. Man made a wrong calculation and invaded a country unprovoked and would face his consequences squarely.

If Putin could turn back time, he would likely not have invaded.

Right now, russia image as a co-supreme power is being tartered by a far less superior ukraine army. If russia leave without taking down the ukraine governemnt, it will completely loose it influence in ukraine because it has done its worst and failed.
Putin has also created a united opposition in the west and probably offended a lot of oligarchs who are being sanctioned for his war

They should be careful, wouldn't want to lose them in the frontlines.Their willingness to defend their country shows the highest level of patriotism.

The conflict ia revealing as to why europe is more developed than most continents - patriotism.

Inspite of possible death and the overwhelming odds, see the leaders sit with their people even when the battle is right in their city and they will be primary targets of their enemies.

The ukrainian president himself has no miltary background and is a fairly wealthy. Yet he and his ministers are staying put risking their lives to ensure the country does not fall against an overwhelming odd.

In Afghanistan, the president was one one of the first person to book a private jet out of the country inspite of having a numerically superior and better funded army once taliban approached the capital.

In Nigeria, our president wont dare use the roads if the weather isnt clear for using flight and you expect the army to be willing to show bravery when the leader shows cowardice?

Very true, that how they startes by denying being present at lekki toll gate, then moved to using blanks, the live bullets shooting upwards then agreeing they shot some with live bullets but it was not a massacre

In an interview with... She talks about her ordeals in her marriage with FFK. she also recounted how their relationship started and what led her to marry him.

After watching this interview, I came to the conclusion that men are not worth pitying.
They act all nice and sweet just to get you and later change into a total stranger once you fall for them.

Hers was a Pathetic one.

Click to watch.

What a balanced conclusion

A young pretty woman finds a very wealthy and influential older man who has previously married and separated from 4 other women, her best pick in the ocean of eligible bachelors.....and she wants a happy ever after ending..?

Madam, start by acknowledging she was a gold-digger, she probably didnt appreciate the amount of stress it would take to mine the gold.

Today FKK has gotten another young girl to warm his bed....tomorrow she also will tell us tales by moonlight of how evil a man he is Are they all so dumb to know that the previous 4 (now 5 women) left him for a good reason? or they are too blinded y gold-seeking to see the danger in their front.

He is not referring to ECONOMICAL aspect.

It’s just like saying you can’t have Covid because you are a student or worker grin

The UK is very protective of its education sector. The average citizen pays like 1/10 of what we pay, that iis big money for the education sector. Same reason they not only restored but extended the duration of post-study work visa for immigrant students of which a large majority are from developing countries.

Until we learn to keep institutions of government separate from religious and racial influence , Nigeria will remain a shithole and a bastion of religion-inspired terrorism.

What is the logic in the NPF organizing quran recitals? Is that what taxpayers pay them to do?

I am happy to see mindsets are now changing towards the opportunities this hussle provides.

What cheerfulgiver makes in a month is what a manager in a big four consulting firm makes (probably less the bonus). For those that will argue its gross not net, the real net that most employees can count on from what their employers pay them is probably 75% or less. transportation, dressing, managing bosses n customers and other expenses cost a lot.

About 2 years ago, there was this lady that I took to the Island for 2.5k. She she saw I was dressed for work myself, she asked for an offline arrangement for 2k every morning.

After a while of our arrangement, I got to knw where she worked and here role. Madam likely doesnt earn more than 250k, yet to keep her appearance sparkling (which was necessary for he role) n for comfort she spends 10k every week on going to work alone.

After we got comfortable with each other, I made the mistake of opening up to her on what I make driving part time n weekends (nothing less 120k in the worst months). Madam went further to check my linkedin profile to see where I worked. Madam started skipping payments afterwards smiley. Had to end the arrangement by telling her I am taking a leave of absence at the office.

Some here may not realise but what many of your riders earn in a month is not up to what a hard working driver makes in a month, particularly when the car is his.

Let's learn to be grateful for the opportunity this hussle provides to step on to greater things. A winning mindset is one that sees a cup as half full and I am inspire by what I see some drivers here doing to also double my hussle.

For the ones that will complain that 40k a week is too much, too much police wahala, they have to spend 20k treating malaria, the job is too hazardous, they need hmo and pension grin....they are people leading others to a pit

Sorry for the late response I have not been online because I have been busy with my other daughter who was very sick. I don't really have much of his pictures because he wasn't a picture person he hated it so much. But I will upload the two pictures that I have of him with my daughter and I hope some people can recognise him and give me more details of him so I will be able to find my daughter.

I hope you daughter is now better.

There is something you can do. His surname/family name is likely Nwadi. Simply search for "Nwadi" on facebook. Its almost certain some of his immediate or extended relatives have accounts on facebook.

Send simply messages to those accounts asking if they have any relation called "Ikenna Nwadi", that you were both friends while in the drc and you will like to reconnect to him. Dont tell them anything about any kidnapping of a kid.

Also, if you know the exact state he came from within Nigeria, it will probably help narrow your targets
