PoliticsRe: The Senate Anti-restructuring Vote, Biafra Agitation And The Rest Of Us. by Afam4eva(m): 9:57pm On Jul 28, 2017
The political status quo makes my belle turn and my body boil. It's obvious that Nigeria will never get better contrary to what a lot of people have been saying except something drastic is done and this can never happen through the normal civil means of holding meetings upon meetings. The North have held this nation to ransom for to long and it has come a time when we need to stand up and be counted for better or for worse. There's no need being politically correct at this stage.

The only reason why the National assemble even considered reviewing Nigeria's constitution is because of Nnamdi Kanu and his band of rebels with a cause to challenge the system and it's arbitrariness. But instead of tackling the main issues, the national Assembly which is controlled mainly by the North have beaten about the bush like they've always been doing and have taken us for a fool or so they think. It may be tim e for every well meaning Nigerian whether Igbo or not to support the Biafran movement as a metaphor for correcting the ills plaguing this nation.

@Afam4eva It is just that complaining is not really in my DNA. How can you be complaining and playing meaningfully at the same time? Is that person a mosquito that "sings" and flies at the same time? I am not so good at multi-tasking.
Its not like you should complain all through. I normally complain when players are being distributed and i randomly register my displeasure when a player is sent to play for my team. Then i occasionally complain during the match.

I love this post. I am a blend of 2 and 8 and I hate those #complainers. Those guys are downright irritating. Always avoiding them on my team.
The best way to escape the complainers is by becoming a complainer yourself. Since i started complaining over very little thing on the field of play, my life has never remained the same.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 10:30pm On Jul 27, 2017
Ogbuefi2020:
Rails were not built in Nigeria to connect "good cities" but connect distant cities. Just as the luxurious bus owners who are almost all igbos ply distant cities. If our igbo transporters consider transport withing SE not profitable for luxurious buses is it oyibo man that will risk his money on rail connecting small villages in a tiny geographical enclave?
I wonder why you equate non viability of routes to luxury buses not plying them. It's not like people are using bicycles as a mode of transport within these cities. It's buses that still convey people, albeit smaller buses. If it wasn't viable, no buses will ply those routes in the first place.

Btw, my argument has never been about Oyibo people investing in building rail systems in the SE. My thoughts are just that the South east cities need to be connected for the free movement of commodities within the region.

CelebritiesRe: Daddy Freeze Reacts To Report That Diezani Alison-Madueke Stole $90 Billion by Afam4eva(m): 6:09pm On Jul 27, 2017
If 50% of Nigerians can be half as smart as Freeze, we'll definitely move forward. How someone can believe that Deziani stole to the extent that she's now neck to neck with the world's richest man really beats me. Even Abacha would find it difficult to achieve such a feat. That's not to say that Deziani is not corrupt. The law courts will determine that in due course.

PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 11:07pm On Jul 26, 2017
Ogbuefi2020:
You are making same mistake others on this thread are making, the red buses plying Enugu Urban are government subsidized buses, same with other city buses all over Nigeria. They are not strictly for profit but government social program, otherwise, trust our business savvy transport monguls to have invested in it long ago. Its just like someone talking about rail lines in kuwait or other small countries, these were paid for from government coffers which is overflowing with Petrodollar and need not be viable to attract lenders. But your proposed rail will be strictly financed with private sector money and paying back depends on money generated from the project. These numerous villages at short distance will not excite any lender under such condition
Based on your premise then a rail line would not even be built in Nigeria at all because the cities that are better than those in the east are no more than 4 in number and taking into consideration that most things that are produced in Nigeria are in the lagos axis and most of the consumers are there as well, it's justified not to build a rail line anywhere.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 10:46pm On Jul 26, 2017
Ogbuefi2020:
Big question? Why are the luxurious buses not plying Enugu to Owerri, Onitsha to Awka, Aba to Afikpo, etc? These are owned almost 100% by the Igbos, yet go to their park, its Aba to Yola, Onitsha to Sokoto, Enugu to Kano or Owerri to Lagos. The reason is simple, the short distances within the small geographical area of South East are not viable routes for that level of transport business. How much more railway?
Are those big red buses that only ply Urban Enugu not also viable cos i don't understand how you would equate luxury buses not plying major south eastern cities as not been viable without considering the fact that there are thousands of small buses that ply these routes and are making a killing. So, how does having luxury buses change anything when they're just meant to add luxury to the trip and the reason why luxury buses are needs for longer trips is because they are longer trips. It's that simple.
