I bought the smallest hosting plan that Hostgator has for a client and was expecting the usuall exchange rate of 200 naira to a dollar as enforced by CBN only to see an alert of about 24k. Guys, it's just $50 freaking dollars. I don't think i'll be buying anything in dollars for a while. |

It really beats me why people bother knowing all these CMS. I have used Joomla and Drupal (was a bit confusing) in the past but since i met wordpress, i haven't looked back. As long as Wordpress can achieve what i want, it will be my only CMS. |
I hope those shouting for a special status to be given to Lagos are aware of other perks that comes with that and that is the fact that, should Lagos be given a special status, Nigerians, irrespective of state of origin, ethnicity and state of residence may also be given equal rights with the indegenes in Lagos. So, when we are clamoring for something, we should also look at all sides of the coin and not be myopic in our reasoning. We make it sound as if people are benefiting from Lagos before putting anything into Lagos. Could the indegenes of Lagos had built a Lagos without the help of Nigerians from all over. Infact what is the contribution of Lagos indegenes to what Lagos is today? On the contrary, i think Lagos should be grateful for what Nigeria has done for it. Nigeria made Lagos and not the other way around. |
JeffreyJamez:There's a part where the woman starts acting up and trying to destroy the husband's destiny. What beats me is why a Nigerian in America will kill his wife for something not as bad as what some women in Nigeria do and are still breathing. Is there really something about America that changes people? Is it the gun laws? But we have husbands bludgeoning wives to death. |
IT staff don suffer i swear. I had a taste of the expectations people have of IT staffs. There's nothing i did not attempt to repair as an IT staff. It's worse when you try to explain to them that you're just a software guy. They will ignorantly be like "You're not that good then". E remain small make people carry their fridge from house make i dey repair. |
I just left Owerri a few days ago and you needed to be in Owerri to understand how bad Douglas road was with the heap of refuse couples with the bad roads. My issue with Rochas and the Imo state government is not even just about the refuse dump because every state capital can boast of their own fair share of dirt. What pissed me off was the response of the government. it just goes to show that Rochas sees himself as a god rather than a servant of the people. How can a sitting governor state that the reason he hasn't cleared the dump was to punish the people of Owerri. Couldn't he have lied like other politicians? Do people like Rochas think they will be relevant in the political circles forever. Why would a politician kick himself in the foot with such statement riddles with quantum idiocy. PDP is beginning to think like PRE-Election APC. They took advantage of Rochas's lapses and have definitely scored a point on this one. The next election in Imo state will be interesting. cc: Abagworo |
This country is just full of illiterates. How can someone say that because a tribe is indigenous to several states or even regions, that makes them large. There's a difference between been widespread and being large. A tribe can be found in only one state and still be very large as opposed to a tribe in several states. If for example, you say Ijaw is the 4th largest ethnic group and support it with the fact that they're in Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo and Delta. The question i will ask is "How many are they in these states?". There are about 1.7million people in Bayelsa state and let's assume that all of them are Ijaws (meaning, there are no non-indegenes living there) and let's not forget that the largest population of Ijaws are in bayelsa. Now let's add them to the Ijaws in Rivers state which for the sake of this argument, i'll say they constitute 30% of the population and using the official census, that will be about 30% of 5.1 million which gives you about 1.5 million. In the spirit of generosity let's also assume that Ijaws make-up 30% of the population of Delta state which gives them 1.2 million out of 4 million and let's dash them 500,000 each in Edo and Ondo states. Let's also assume that Ijaws also travel a lot and that there population outside their States is 1 million, that gives them a total of 5.4 million and this is in the spirit of generosity and hear I saw someone saying that the Ijaws have a population of 15 million. The kind of bogus lies some Nigerians tell is just bigger than the problems of the county. The truth is that there is no official census based on ethnicity in Nigeria. All we can do is to speculate but with reason. For instance, I usually use the ethnicities I run into mostly in different parts of the country to determine which of them is larger and I must say that I come across more than 10 Efik/Ibibio/Annang/Oron people before I come across an Ijaw person. So, there's no way Ijaws are anywhere close to being the 4th largest. cc: hopeathand, tonyebarcanista |
There's no recipe for protecting a man from small small girls. If he's randy then there's really not much you can do. The best you can do is to reduce his randiness by spreading your legs at every turn. Wives should make sure their legs are never touching each other. They should be apart at all times. Cooking also helps as the saying goes "The best way to a man's heart is...." |
Benita27:I doubt that very much. It's just how you see it from your vantage point. I believe a MIL whether rightly or wrongly has a reason she thinks is good enough to maltreat her DIL. |
Benita27:The problem is not with just Mother-In-laws only. It's a female problem generally. Women tend to be jealous of each other and will stop at nothing to prove to their fellow female folk that they're better especially when at an advantageous position. Some Daughter Inlaws are also guilty of treating their MILs badly. |

basilo101:With the way Akwa United beat Calabar rovers 14 goals to nil some years ago to get out of the relegation zone, i won't hold my breadth yet as anything is possible in this league of ours. |
Enugu Ranges have just emerged the champions of the 2015/2016 Nigerian Professional Footbal League. UP RANGERS. |
What kind of help do you need? Do you want the service of a professional web designer or there is a specific thing you want to know concerning mobile compatibility. Just tell us what you need help with or go back learning web designing. |
This is nice. |
This guy is an NPFL legend. He played in the Nigerian professional league for so many years. |
dueal:Is there a difference between a programmer and a coder? Do both terms mean the same thing? What do you think? |
dueal:A role of a programmer is not as vast as some of you make it seem. Some of you use the trend in Nigeria to measure the role of a programmer. I will also blame some of us that use the term to refer to anybody who does anything to do with building a software whereas apart from programmers, there are software engineers, analysts, testers etc and these people are a lot of times rated higher than programmers. |
dhtml18:That's where the problem lie. |
A programmer is anyone who can write atleast a simple computer/web program like "Hello World". if this is not the definition of a programmer then we won't have terms such as "Good programmer", "Bad programmer" or "professional programmer". I think hat the thread meant to say is that there are very few professional programmers in Nigeria. |
somegirl1:You are right and it is also common in places betweeen Oguta and Ndoni/Ukwuani and i'm talking about Egbema in Imo and Rivers state. |
Is this a true life story or you just made it up to scare people about how deadly HIV/AIDS is. It's ok if you just educate people about this dreadful disease and whoever doesn't want to heed can remain ignorant. But concocting surreal tales (if it is) is just wrong. |
This guy has got to be the dumbest president that we've ever produced. I wonder why many pro Buhari peeps cannot see that this man does not have anything upstairs to offer. So, the only thing he could tell Igbo corpers in Daura is to forget about Biafra. His language of "YOUR PEOPLE" speaks volume of how divisive he is. Isn't he suppose to be the president of Nigeria cos he talked like he was talking to citizens of another country. |
Scholes00:I thought you knew all these. I'm sure you've never stepped your foot in the east. You only rely on beer parlour gossip for your analysis on Igboland. Go and ask the Yorubas who live there why they do. |
Drchristian:If Igbos are 3 million in Ondo state then what is the population of the state. Don't get angry when some people come here and call Ondo Igboland. You seem to be foolishly giving them the fuel for it. |
musicwriter:Are you a sovereign nation? Some of you just open your gutter mouths an dtalk like stark illiterate and throw analogies that don't fit all over the place. Igbo and Yoruba are entities with a country called Nigeria, so if you must give an analogy from elsewhere use two characters that are also entities in the same countries. |
Scholes00:I just clocked 30 in July and there are some lame arguments i will not go into especially when the opposing person refuses to be reasonable. How exactly does your analogy add up? You're just making it seem that there's something in Yorubaland that's not present anywhere else and that's why they're rushing there and that is not the truth else they won't be in Kano, Kaduna, Benin, Maiduguri (war ridden), Zamfara, Calabar, Uyo, yenagoa or even smaller towns like Kafanchan, Dutse, Bida etc. It's because they're really going to these places to offer a service that the native either are not interested in or don't have the knowhow. The biggest complaint against immigrants globally is the issue of immigrants taking the jobs of the natives. Can you sincerely tell me that Igbos are taking anyone's jobs as the last time i checked Igbos are usually involved in one form of business or the other. I can bet that Yorubas makeup atleast a whopping 80% of the workforce in the Lagos civil service despite the fact that they don't make up that much percent of population, so you can't say Igbos are taking your jobs. A lot of Igbos who live in Lagos will choose Lagos over the east, south, North or anywhere else in Nigeria. And it's about Lagos being the commercial capital and not because it's Yorubaland. Have you forgotten that almost everything Nigeria is located in Lagos and it's only commosensical that Lagos should be the number one subject when the issue of rural-urban migration is discussed. It will also be moral for you to know when to use Lagos, West and Yorubaland. Don't use them interchangeably cos they're not the same. |
SONofYORUBA:I just gave you one minute of silence for your ignorance. You're really at the top of the chain. If the SE was not economically viable then no one will remain there, not even Igbos. Globally, people leave their homelands to find opportunities elsewhere because those available in their homelands are not enough for the population. There are people making it in the east but every Igbo person can't be there. All spare part dealers cannot be in Nnewi, so the may decide to move to Lagos that has a bigger market or move to Ile Ife to compete for the smaller market. It doesn't mean that Ile Ife is better than where they're coming from in General but because they see an opportunity and the're tapping into it. It's funny how you guys always replace Lagos with Yorubaland. Lagos house 70% of Nigeria's oil sector (according to you) and that's because Lagos is Nigeria's economic capital. There's really no much difference between other cities in Nigeria apart from Lagos, Abuja and PH except for landmass. Coming back to the eat being so bad. I would have believed that lie to only that whenever i'm in Owerri, i see a lot of Hausa people hustling at Douglas Road and elsewhere. based on my understanding of Yoruba people, they're the kind of people who love to stay in their comfort zone especially as it relates with Nigeria. Anywhere other than the 3 most important NIgerian cities, they're really not down with it. I don't know if it's due to a fear of the unknown. |
Bolustic:We don speak this kain English in the past. Talk another thing. This time, in another language. You must think we're nursery school pupils that you can lie when it's an open secret that this regime has been in comatose from the onset. No single ministry or parastatal is working. We're just have some nunch of clueless people running our affairs. From our president to our ministers. |
You posted just a single road and called it London. Can we have more photos? |
