Yes my dear, book a flight and off you go to Kenya and always remember they will ask your purpose of visit, so you have to be able to explain

As for Tanzania, life is okay there too but they speak mainly Swahili, TV, Radio and even newspaper. So it's a bit complicated but if you can learn fast then you can go there
Those people like Swahili die. How do you find the TZ girls?

TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Afam4eva(m): 1:26am On Aug 07, 2015
It actually the worst airport in the world and you will notice it more when you are entering the country than when going out because after experiencing other airports, all you can do is to shake your head in pity. That airport is an absolute disgrace and captures how bad this country has gotten. Have you been to Oliver Tambo airport in Jo'burg and the Sir Seewoosagor Ramgoolan International Airport in Mauritius.

APC as a part of digging its own grave without knowing it. There comes a time when you let sleeping dogs like. No party in the world is perfect and certainly not one in Nigeria. They should just let him be. They have made their point and I believe he has learned from his mistakes. A continuous threading on this path will bring the party down.
CultureRe: Igbo Stereotypes by Afam4eva(m): 1:00am On Aug 07, 2015
There are truths in stereotypes but they don't tell the entire story. Here are common stereotypes that I have heard.

I always think people from Abia especially Ngwa to be short. Of course I've heard about the eating human flesh part and that stereotype was rife when I lived in Port-hacourt. I guess it's due to thebcloseneas.

Anambra people represent the best and worst of Igbos. Actually, most common Igbo stereotypes are analysis of Anambra people. Anambra people are proud and have this superiority aura about them. Even when they dance, they never bend down like we Enugu people do.hey dance by stretching themselves upwards. Their women are also thought to be controllers of men. My cousin once described Anambra women as "Umu nwanyi Anambra, ishi ha na di hot".

Ebonyi people are usually referred to as the Hausas of Igboland owing to their supposed quest for blood and unforgiving spirit. They are also thought to be content with what they have. They don't have that typical stereotypical Igbo quest for material things at all cost. Their women also make good wives.

Enugu people are one group that I've not heard a lot of stereotypes about except recently when I started hearing about how their men are stingy. Don't know how true that is cos I just sent 100k to Mrsphyno's account. Enugu women also make the best wives. They are yhe definition submissive.

Imo people are somewhat different from other Igbos in terms of their lifestyle. I read some people calling them the Yorubas of Igboland. They are thought to be liberal but sometimes they take it to far. They are mavericks and not loyal. Who is that Eastern politician that is most hated in the east. Who are those APC supporters on Nairaland who supports anyone that insults Igbos as long as they support Rochas? But Imo women are pretty and are hardworking.

Ndiigbo are a very diverse group and certain regions have become known for certain characteristics. Do you mind writing some (harmless) stereotypes that you may know

For example
Enugu babes are well educated and calm *in Wizboyy's voice* Nna mehnnn see wife material 50 yards!
Enugu babes/women are reputed to be calm and collected and make the best wives but never for once has Enugu babes and Education being mentioned. They're just averagely educated like everyone else even stereotypically.
CultureRe: Anioma/Asaba People Are Not Igbo by Afam4eva(m): 8:49pm On Aug 06, 2015
Such a hateful article could only have come from the most hateful Anioma man in the person of Kunirum Osia. He is the ring leader in this absurdity and has managed to convince Igboists such as Emeka Esogbue who has in the past few years embraced such brazen idiocy.

PoliticsRe: Is Kogi State Black Sheep Of The Nation? by Afam4eva(m): 1:22pm On Aug 06, 2015
I don't know about being the blackship but the first time I stepped my foot in Lokoja, I was surprised and asked someone if we had gotten to the nationally renowned Lokoja that I have read in books with the catchy title "The confluence state". Lokoja is really an embarrassment of abtown let alone a state capital. It seems their leaders have taken turns to insert their manliness into the state coffers. Their pas governors must, as a matter of the love of this nation be arrested and thrown in prison until they return all the money that they have stolen.
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by Afam4eva(m): 12:04pm On Aug 06, 2015
MrsPhyno:
Thank you.

Consciousness? Like in what sense? And I do hear Enugu indigenes just referring to themselves as simply 'Enugu indigines' than like the specific people group. If that makes sense.... Whereas for example the Mbaise people in Imo state or Umahia people. They don't refer to themselves by state (usually). Wonder why...?

Please if you don't mind (last question lol) is Ngwo a place or a people group or both?
Consciousness in the sense tgat, Enugu people don't carry their clan on their head like people from Ngwa, Owerri etc and that is why when an Enugu person is asked where he's from, he'll most likely say Enugu instead of Nkanu, Udi and to a lesser extent Nsukka. That's why the last Igbos that will disclaim their Igbo identity is the Enugu people and the Anambra people, though for another reason.

Oh good.

To the topic: that stereotype about Anambra folk not being educated can pain me eh! cry Heck, we are not far behind Imo in academic achievements and certainly ahead of the other states. angry grin
That stereotype usually extends to the entire Igbo race. We keep hearing about how Igbo men don't go to school butbive come to realize that, its not that Igbo men don't go to school, in fact they're one of the highest school goers. It's just that the illiteratebones always become rich and famous at the end of the day.

spyder880 and others

I've viewed this thread a billion times before I finally joined nairaland recently. The best thread on this website (and I think it's famous! Enugu state government should pay you for all this publicity wink)

Anyways so I have a question for Enugu indigenes. I often here about the different specific "people groups" in other states such as Owerri ppl and Anioma ppl and Mbaise ppl. Please does anyone know some of the people groups in Enugu.... All I ever hear mentioned is Nsukka.
I presume that the major group in Enugi is the Nkanu people which which is where I come from and then the Nsukka people. I think the reason you don't here much about these Enugu groups like you hear about Ngwa, Owerri, Anioma and all is because that consciousness is not really there. The more consciousness, the more likely we will disclaim being Igbo.

@Frankie, please could you help with recent Osha pix? Thanks
For a few years now, ive been requesting for pictures of developmental strides in Anambra which i did not get. The fact that i'm seeing images now speaks volume.

If i didn't know Joe Igbokwe, i would have been surprised. This man knows how to spew bullocks and he puts meaning to the saying that "He who pays the piper dictates the tune". Joe Igbokwe is an attack dog for the local wing of APC and he is shameless. He n sell his father because of the pocket money that accrues to him. His latest utterance is without doubt a confirmation of the idiocy and verbal kwashiorko that i have ascribed to him. The same people who told us before the election that APC is a national party are now confirming the the long held belief that APC i a Yoruba party. Talk about speaking from both side of one's mouth.
PoliticsRe: Obiano Set To Transform Awka To World Class City by Afam4eva(m): 5:53pm On Aug 04, 2015
You dont need to be told that a Governor knows what he's doing. You just know it through is proclamations.I didnt really support Obiano when he was contesting but i think he understands what Anambra needs. But i think more effort should be put into Onitsha than any city in ANambra.

I think the north is actually 100%. There is no South. It's just the figment of our imagination.

This is what happens when the north have taken the south for a ride and think, what da heck, let's take this ish a notch higher.
