TravelRe: Will You Pay To Visit Historic Sites In Yoruba Land? by Afam4eva(m): 5:28pm On Dec 04, 2013
Firstly, i think that crap that Gbenga Daniel built on Olumo rock should be brought down. I don't know why some of our leaders are daft. How can you touch such a natural place with so much artificiality.
TravelRe: Will You Pay To Visit Historic Sites In Yoruba Land? by Afam4eva(m): 5:19pm On Dec 04, 2013
mr sage: @afam4eva, the idea is to pay a service provider (a tour guide) for transportation, feeding, access to the historic sites, hotel accommodation and all others, so you have a nice and memorable experience. All the logistics will be handled by us
I think that's a brilliant initiative. It saves people the energy of having to plan for logistics themselves. I think Nigeria is under-toured and if this message can be advertised well, it will portend a great future for the tourism industry.
TravelRe: The Ibadan Chino And Tosin7 Didn't Know... by Afam4eva(m): 5:15pm On Dec 04, 2013
Abagworo: Ibadan is an ancient city and I don't see anything wrong with that unless the OP is trying to claim Ibadan has been completely rebuilt which I doubt with the size of the city and its compounded challenges.
There's a small fraction of the city is quasi-modern and not like the Ibadan that's usually being advertised.
TravelRe: Will You Pay To Visit Historic Sites In Yoruba Land? by Afam4eva(m): 5:13pm On Dec 04, 2013
What will i be paying for? Is it the transportation or to have access to the historic sites?

We're waiting for the pictures. I think Ibadan is under-represented.

nnenna.1:
Afam na wa o. Shebi the other day you were saying that Ikwerres/Deltans denied Igbos because there was nothing to be proud of as an Igbo.

Another day you opened a thread on the supposed lack of development in Igboland.

Methinks nairaland is rubbing off on you negatively.

Hmm! sad
Not really. I've just decided to start telling the truth. The truth may hurt but it's a catalyst for change. We shouldn't keep deluding ourselves that everything is alright when it's actually not. The only reason why some people won't want me to make such assertions is the fact that the enemies will use it as a tool. Everybody wants their supposed foes to see them as being superior in some sense. I wish there was a way i could pour out those assertions of mine in an Igbo only meeting because they're the raw truth. It's just that our people have refused to accept it.

CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by Afam4eva(op): 8:02pm On Dec 03, 2013
chux4liv: I concur with your clarification of Ibo/Igbo but I disagree with your last statement that they could have originated from Owerri, Ngwan, Idemilli When Its clearly cited as origininating from bini (You don't want agree they're bini origin. but want them to claim eastern origin??)
He's not saying they originated from those places. He's just saying that it makes more sense to say they originated from those places than to say they originated from Igbo because there's no place called Igbo. That's the mistake you folks keep making. There was no such thing as Igbo kingdom, village etc in the past and there's none at present as far as i know. Even if there is, it's just a borrowed name used to describe the Igboid tribes.

Aren't we talking about assumptions?
CrimeRe: Teenager Commits Suicide Over Missing Money by Afam4eva(m): 11:05am On Dec 03, 2013
They should investigate and find out who she was giving the money. Why would she rather kill herself than reveal the person's identity. This one fit be African remote control oo cos i don't understand how someone will take her life for such flimsy reason. It's like saying, "I'll rather kill myself than commit suicide"
PoliticsRe: Are Hausas Still The Largest Tribe In Naija? by Afam4eva(m): 10:59am On Dec 03, 2013
Adaviruqu: I am mostly surprise at the way you southern folks exhibit ''I know too much" and yet you make this kind of summation of hausa population not up to 10m. If you hate people does that mean you should not be thruthful in your presentation.
If you noticed in my post, i used MAY. It's not an absolute statement and i was only trying to paint the fact that the Hausa population may not be as much as people think. In Nigeria, a lot of people always use Hausa and Northerners interchangeably.

It's not like the woman is beautiful but Oshiomhole will manage her afterall he too sef no fine.
Is Oshiomole finer than the woman? Besides, the woman is fine.

I don't think Oshiomole will pass the opportunity of marrying a fresh blood like Dillish or any other young girl. Though it will make a very good news to hear that he married the widow.

ilugunboy: So someone claimed an Ibadan / Lagos media mafia... I suggested that a counter balance mafia can be established to balance the story...your warped sense read tribalism..

See how that has eaten deep into your senses.

Afam wrote

So how is that different from what I wrote..,just that I went further with additional suggestion.
When you started mentioning Onitsha/Owerri/Enugu/Umuhia, i lnew you were going tribal. Lagos media is not the same as Yoruba media. People from all over Nigeria own these media outfits but their outlook is usually projected by the idiosyncratic nature of Lagos.

It's for the same reason that husbands will overlook the stretch mark on a lady or any other defect when getting down with the person. Kongi is dangerous and can lead some people to sleep with even animals.
PoliticsRe: Media Bias Of National News. A Surprise? by Afam4eva(m): 9:23am On Dec 03, 2013
ilugunboy: Why not establish your own Onitsha/Owerri/Enugu/Umuhia axis mafia?

Why the whining ?
I'm waiting for the day your comment will not be decorated with tribalism. Is that all you do on Nairaland? hardly do you i see any comment of yours that has nothing to do with Igbo/Yoruba. kai.
PoliticsRe: Media Bias Of National News. A Surprise? by Afam4eva(m): 8:59am On Dec 03, 2013
This is why i've been clamoring for the decentralization of media outfits. 90% of media outfits are based in Lagos and their sentiments will be geared towards the political idiosyncrasy of the area. I noticed this in the Ondo and Anambra elections where Akeredolu and Ngige were being mentioned as candidates who would probably win the election only for them to come, not second but third. This shows that these media houses are not in tune with what's going on in other parts of Nigeria and only see issues from a myopic prism.

TV/MoviesRe: "The Walking Dead" - Season 4 by Afam4eva(m): 11:42pm On Dec 02, 2013
I knew Hershel was gonna die sooner or later but i wasn't expecting him to time in such a cruel manner. I was expecting him dying in his sleep or something. I also find it strange that the Governor would choose to kill Hershel before Michone whom he has been itching to kill for a long time. I was expecting him to put a bullet through her the moment he sights her.

This episode was the bomb and it brought back that TWD spirit. I can't believe i have to wait till February to watch the other half of season 4.
