FreeGlobe: with the new electoral act the courts can no longer award victory to candidates. The only thing they can do is order the rerun of flawed elections like this so even the last placed candidate can challenge an election in court.I'm only suggesting that it may turn out to be a fruitless endeavor as we haven't been provided with proofs by APC that the election was flawed save for the electoral commissioner that was compromised. The election cannot be annulled based on that alone. Mind you, i supported Ngige to win this election. |

My father forced us to take siestas. I grew up hating that word. Why should people be forced to sleep in the afternoon. That's wicked ![]() |
Dillish's boyfriend should better watchout with the way Dillish is moving around hunks. Dem go snatch this girl from im hand oo. I hope to see this video btw. |
I hope APC realizes that they came third in the election and not second. I wonder what they expect at the end of the day. |
It's only when a man is faced with potential death that he does the unfathomable. When i was young, there was this fence that i found difficult climbing but when i was being chased by an angry guy, i didn't know how i flew over. That was a survival instinct and that's what Jaguar paw exhibited in Apocalypto. He did what he couldn't have done ordinary. From from being chased by a jaguar to jumping off the top of a water fall and so on. |
I doubt the veracity of this news. It doesn't sound like what a known pastor would say. He's not that dumb. There are ore subtle ways to get one's point across. I expect him to dispel this fake news in due course. All these ogbanje bloggers sha. |
ndu_chucks: Just curious: My post on the "Ask a Russian" thread in the foreign affairs section was hidden and the spambot banned me from that section because my post was written in Russian. I was simply welcoming the Russian in his language. We write in Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, and other languages without being banned. Would the mods please unhide my post and unban ndu_chucks in that section. The Russian language looks like spam, that's why it's hidden by the spambots. It also happens to Edo language cos they're full of consonants with very little vowels. |
FreeGlobe: lol. Am asking since the word is not censoredIt actually depends on what the word is used for. If it's used to refer to someone then it's against the rule otherwise, it's not a crime. Use it wisely ![]() |
FreeGlobe: I didn't call anybody fool particularly, it was just an exclamation. The local language was not an abuse. It was a joke and the emoticon showed that. Anyways I appreciate your quick response and will take whatever your decision is in good faith. But is saying 'fool' against the rule? ![]() |
Mcbussy: I swear,if Daryl or Glen dies,I'm so done with the series....shey nah dat mugu Tyrese I go dey watch?...I'd rather go back to last 2 episodes and keep watching doctor S and Hershel tending to the sickIf Daryl dies, it ends the show for me. He's an integral part of the show and should remain till the end or close to the end. I'm really aloof as to whether Glen should remain or go. |
I can bet my balls that a lot of people on this thread did not know who Paul Walker was before he died. They're probably hearing the name of for the first time. I'll only blame that guy for advertising his ignorance to the world. |
I just love this Eva chick. Her talent and carriage are top notch. She makes other female rappers look like jokers. |
speedyboi: Eshe I already did that......Hollyhood boyPls don't be true to your username oo ![]() |
Ngene-Ukwenu:Do they do primaries? |
I think this is an insult to the US. Did the US not predict Nigeria's disintegration in 2015? So, Nigeria is still gonna be a country in 2050 when i'll probably be in my 60s or 70s? |
Mynd_44: Not quiet true. It would interest you to note that the average Ekiti man/woman who lived under the old Ondo state resent Ondo because they felt they were regarded and inferior to them.Like Ondo/Ekiti, like Enugu/Ebonyi. The Ekiti people just like the Ebonyi people will always feel being looked down upon by their brothers in their former state but that does not change the fact that they're closer than people think. I agree that the only reason why people will be looking for an alternative is if the present Governor is not working. From the feelers i'm getting, he has made Fayose and the other man look like common criminals. It will be a very hard task wrestling power from Fayemi for sure. |
Mynd_44: But please be corrected, LP ain't gaining grounds in Ekiti. The soul of Ekiti is still between the APC and PDP. These two parties still holds the aces. Even Fayose who happens to be one of the most popular politician in Ekiti has finally realised this and left the LP. LP is only popular in Ondo and it ends there.Lol... i never said Labour party holds the ace in Ekiti state. I only alluded to the fact that they're gaining grounds gradually. Ondo and Ekiti are like two inseparable siamese twins and the political idiosyncrasies of Ondo state will invariably rub off on Ekiti state. My opinion. |
Mynd_44: MOB left the APC where he is guaranteed a position to contest for governors after Fayemi to go to a LP where he is not even sure he will win the primaries.......please note that Fayose is more popular than MOB and when he ran for a senatorial position, he lost. What's the guarantee that he'll be given the ticket after Fayemi? At least Tinubu and APC should have allowed Bamidele to contest in a free and fair primary election. He's not saying APC should choose him ahead of Fayemi but that he wants to contest the primaries. Is that too much to ask for? APC has to start practicing internal democracy if they're truly the progressives they claim to be. I think Bamidele has seen that he has no future in APC hence the need to decamp to a Labour party that's gaining grounds in the Ondo/Ekiti axis. |
The political climate is getting interesting. Can't wait for 2015. |
When these two were featuring each other in their songs, i knew something was up. Congrats to them. |
tonychristopher: YOU HAVE LOST IT ALL....IT'S NOT IGBOS THAT CLASSIFY UKWUANI AS IGBO BUT NATURE. MY FEST,IT SEEMS UR MY IN-LAW BUT HAVE YOU EVER HEAR AN OGUTA MAN SPEAK BEFORE AND KNOW IT IS EXACTLY SAME WITH UKWUANI.OGUTA HAVE RELATIONSHIP WITH UKWUANI. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT UKWUANI IS BRINGING TO THE TABLE AND I KNOW THAT THE WHOLE UKWUANI ISN'T UPTO HALF OF MY VILLAGE IN EVERYTHING,ATLEAST I HAVE BEEN TO OBIARUKU,OGUME AND ASHAKA. BUT NOT MINDING THEIR DESOLATENESS,THEY ARE STILL MY IN-LAWS AND IGBOI'm talking of the Igbo nonenclature and not the fact that people that speak Igbo languages and practice similar culture have existed probably as old as the world itself. My point is that before the British came, there was nothing like Igbo. As much the people called Igbo today existed, there was no common name that they were not by. Igbos identified with their various clans eg Ngwa, Nkanu, Nsukka, Owerri, Ikwerre, Ukwuani etc. The using of the term Igbo was an attempt to bring all these people under one umbrella for easy administration and convenience. |
ba7man: What would it have cost him to charge all Nigerian Naval officers to be good ambassadors??He's the Governor of Abia state and not the President of Nigeria. |
Pharoh: @AfamI get your point and i think you also understand the issues when compared to some other Ukwuani or Ika people on this thread. Even the people known as Igbo today were not Igbos in the past as the ethnic group was a a creation of the colonialist and it was created mainly based on similarity in language and culture and not ideologies. That's why the Igbos on the forum are hell-bent on classifying Ika or Ukwuani as Igbos. Being Igbo has gone beyond similarity in language and culture imo and ethnicity imo is like an association of like-minded people and over the years has become more ideological than cultural. Ethnicities are different from Tribes. This is what people will have to understand. |
Enigma17: In all section. ThanksThere's nothing wrong with your account. You have not been banned on any section. The only explanation which is merely speculative is that you have opened too many topics in less than 24 hours. Give some time and try again. |
invest-now2013:We're talking of APC man. Get you head out of your exterior. |
Congrats to Obiano. I didn't support him but since Ndi Anambra have chosen him, i have to give him my support. I hope he lives up to the expectations of his supporters. |
Isn't he still a Senator? He will still wield his regular influence. |
collynzo2: At least they are both fighting for the good of their people, not for personal gains.Exactly. |
I can't fathom how Igbos could supposedly have colonized a people that were under the powerful Benin empire. If the Igbos were colonialists then the whole of Efik/Ibibio would have been speaking Igbo by now. The only explanation imo is that the Benin kingdom contrary to popular wisdom is actually a kingdom made up of people of different ethnicity and ruled from Benin thereby resulting in the Benin influence. I'm saying this cos the Igbo influence far outways the Bini influence in Anioma. How's that possible? Of course it's plausible that some people of Bini heritage and Igbo heritage intermarried and thereby shared cultures. The Ika and Ukwuani people should be Ika and Ukwunai and could choose to align with the Eastern Igbos and belong to the greater Igbo people but i must say that it sounds more plausible for these people to be referred to as Igbos than Bini. Do they even speak and understand Bini language? I wonder why they carry Bini on their head. Why are groups so eager to be identified as Bini. Is there something they're seeing that i'm not seeing? |
