ba7man: I don't know about that last piece you wrote. Are you sure a Party is not only as good as the development and progress they effect in areas they controlhuh
That too. But nothing takes the cake like public relations.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Who Is Sincere9gerian? by Afam4eva(m): 12:27pm On Nov 25, 2013
doublewisdom: The difference is really clear. Gbawe and his APC defenders here on nairaland are ordinary thugs. They sound gutter bred. Continue this way and you will make APC more unpopular than ever. I think their handlers should relieve them of their duties on this forum, retrieve their laptops, stop their salaries and employ 'refined ' people who can engage in meaningful verbal exchange devoid of petty insults.
The truth is, these are the people who made me averse to APC. I used to be a supporter of Alliance for Democracy(AD) and when it metamorphosed to AC but when i started following the comments of their supporters on Nairaland, the hate just set in and i'm even more relaxed with the PDP that i used to hate with a passion. A party is only as good as the people they send out to relate with people.

SportsRe: Burkina Faso Lodge Protest Against Algeria's WC 'qualification' by Afam4eva(m): 7:52am On Nov 24, 2013
safarigirl: Lol, these people though. First it was the shortened ET, now it's an ineligible player. If they had done their homework and won convincingly at home, they wouldn't be grasping at straws now. Why couldn't others emulate our cute record of a home and away win? Anyway, I wish them luck in their quest to get a WC ticket, I just feel like FIFA wouldn't be so eager to get rid of the only North African rep for a nation like BF who aren't as psyched bout football as the North Africans. It'll be like sacrificing Uruguay's ticket to Jordan- bad market
If Algeria is found out to be guilty, they'll be thrown the same way it was done to Cape-Verde.
SportsRe: Enyeama Named Ligue1 Player Of The Month by Afam4eva(m): 7:50am On Nov 24, 2013
Congrats to Enyeama. But where does this leave Ejide. Ejide is Ronaldo and Enyeama is Messi.
SportsRe: Burkina Faso Lodge Protest Against Algeria's WC 'qualification' by Afam4eva(m): 7:21am On Nov 24, 2013
If this is true then Burkina will be at the world cup. They probably knew this before the match and kept quiet grin

one.east1:
For goodness sake you talk like an unlettered person at times. Why will you generalize this your post? Why not focus on your state instead of this blanket assumption? If your state is not witnessing investment, Anambra is witnessing it in great numbers.
Keep fooling yourself. Is your name not chino again?
PoliticsRe: The Dearth Of Development In The South-east by Afam4eva(op): 5:42pm On Nov 23, 2013
Kponkwem: You forget that you said other zones are building new airports and other projects? That's why I posed the question. I accept there is paucity of development ideas in the SE but Enugu and Imo are a pride. That apart I have my utmost faith in this much derided region. It's just a matter of time before they get it right.

There will be multiplier effects in its huge diaspora remmitances, commercial and industrial sectors, agro-allied industries etc. But for Fed Allocations, the conspiracy since the end of the war is to limit the progress of the area. My guess though.
Nwanne, what has war got to do with anything. The Imo and Enugu that you cite are just residential cities and it's expected that they'll be the most beautiful cities in that region cos they don't have the commercial prowess that the likes of Aba, Onitsha and Newi have. That's why my eye has always being on Abia and Anambra cos i believe they have the key to unlock the commercialization of the east but unfortunately, those leading the states have not been up to scratch especially for Abia.

Afam, I think you should blame your state gov who does not see development beyond repaving and existing roads only in the state capital.
If you're expecting that i'll engage you in a State Vs State comparison then you're on a long thing. if perrson follow your mouth, the person go think say Anambra don turn heaven on earth. Biko ga noro ana.

asha 80: i hope you know you the one that started the comparision?read your opening post well.
I didn't intend for it to be a comparison though i juxtaposed the SE with some other parts of the country and i expected that we'll discuss our problems instead of abdicating them for comparisons with other parts of the country.
PoliticsRe: North Brags About Liberating Niger Delta Zone? by Afam4eva(m): 5:23pm On Nov 23, 2013
Kponkwem: I agree that Elechi Amadi is Ikwerre Igbo and therefore understands Igbo naturally, but both Saro Wiwa and Boro grew up among Igbo. Saro Wiwa lived mostly in Umuahia and was in Govt College. His Igbo was impeccable. Boro stayed in Nsukka, enjoyed Eastern govt subsidies and was even elected Student Union govt President in UNN. Check your facts.
When you said "Igbo Speaking", i thought you were referring to indigenous Igbo speaking.
PoliticsRe: North Brags About Liberating Niger Delta Zone? by Afam4eva(m): 5:04pm On Nov 23, 2013
Kponkwem: If we are to take the traitors' positions of Ken Saro Wiwa, Adaka Boro and Elechi Amadi, all Igbo speaking Niger Deltans who claimed in the course of the war of freedom by Biafra that Igbo will dominate the rest as the reason for North's messianic posture, how do you reconcile it with their exploitation of South South oil and the vicious onslaught against Jonathan?
Just to correct an impression, only Elechi Amadi is an Igbo speaking Niger-Deltan.
PoliticsRe: The Dearth Of Development In The South-east by Afam4eva(op): 4:59pm On Nov 23, 2013
gratiaeo: AFAM not until you point out what's happening in other states apart from development on white papers i wouldn't comment
@ least use Osun state as a yardstick
Kponkwem: BTW can u show me just one city in SW that is better than any of the SE capitals?
This is the problem. Instead of you to look inward, you always want to compare yourself to others who are probably like you in order for you to look better. That's how failures reason.
PoliticsRe: The Dearth Of Development In The South-east by Afam4eva(op): 4:57pm On Nov 23, 2013
collynzo2: When the likes of you are sitting down somewhere in Lagos, whom do you expect to hold the government to ransome?
The problem is that Igbos travel a lot and the few who stay back are too docile to ask the government on seat questions.
I said it before that South Eastern governors have the easiest ride in Nigeria and some were trying to argue with me.
Igbos are more interested in crtiticising the government of where they live rather than the government of where they are from. Would you blame them?
I won't argue with you cos you're right and i highlighted this some months back. The reason why our leaders are behaving as they choose is because those that are supposed to stand up to them don't live in the South-East.

PoliticsThe Dearth Of Development In The South-east by Afam4eva(op): 3:21pm On Nov 23, 2013
I'm writing this to register my displeasure with the almost absence of huge development in the South-East of the country. I have looked round the country and have discovered that, it's probably in the South-East of the country that you have the lowest numbers of development, especially capital development going on. I recently saw a thread on stadiums being built by state governments and none of these stadiums are been built by South-East governments. Governments all over the country are embarking on building New Airports in their states but none of these states are South-East states. States all over the federation are setting up tourism havens but not in the South-East and this brings me to the question, what do South-East governors use their allocation for cos i've not seen any project in the SE worth jumping up for save for a few mostly in Enugu. As an Igbo man, i find it embarassing that when it's time to even boast about what my part of the country has done, there's very little that one can be proud of. I'm even looking to see if something is going on in Asaba to even use that to boast but despite the fact that some things have been achieved in Asaba, it's still a growing city. Right now, Enugu is all there is to be boastful about in the SE and i think it's a shame that a people who pride themselves in commerce are lagging behind big time in a country that can't even be said to be developing. I think the major problem is one of leadership. We probably boast of the worst leaders that this country has produced. We have to make do with all these Ogbete leaders that our states keep churning out. For heaven sake, what business has Theodore has in becoming an LGA chairman let alone a state governor. is there nobody that can do better than Martin Elechi? Is Peter Obi the best Anambra can boast of? When will Rochas start attracting big time investors to Imo state who are not coming to setup up cheap hotels. The SE needs our attention and it has to be very fast.

Let's learn to tell ourselves the truth. This is not even a contest. Da Prince as much as people have said he's not talented has released numerous hit tracks which include Omoba, Give it to me, Goody bag and Take bannana. As K switch, the only of his song i know is Oluwa is Involved and that is because i heard someone playing it and i liked it and downloaded it but i don't think i ever heard it being played anywhere before.

EducationRe: Irrelevant Punishments You Gave To Your Juniors Back In School by Afam4eva(m): 6:30pm On Nov 22, 2013
god_of_music: I just did a flashback on my secondary school days when i was a senior with an official post. I was the 'Cultural and Game prefect' then. . .
It was fun being a senior mheen! grin
And i was a really cunny and controversial one. cheesy

My punishments at times were irrelevant but the juniors couldn't do anything about it tongue

These are some of them:
>>>
I flogged a junior because he looked at me two times: The kid was just passing by and 'naturally' he just looked at the direction i was sitting, and then looked again. I called him and asked him why he was looking at me with bad eyes? grin And he was like: No o! Senior i'm not looking at you like that oo shocked
I asked him to go buy a cain in the school shop for me. . He came back with the cain and i asked him to put his hands on the wall, he did...then i trashed him 7 times grin grin
The guy cried to the class grin grin grin

I punished a student because he was taller than me: I entered into the JSS3 class and i noticed this boy who was way taller than me, i thought it was an insult so i asked him to come out of the class. He came out, and i slapped him before i trashed him mercileslly grin grin tongue

I punished a student because he was wearing the same shoes like mine: This one pissed me off! angry The guy was just in JSS1 and he wore the same shoe with me! I ceased the shoes and asked him to pick all the stones in a particular area under the hot sun tongue tongue

I punished a female student cause her voice was finer than mine: In the school choir, i was the director and she was just a member. She was in SS1 tho. . . She was given the solo in a song we were to present in the state capital, and i was actually given that role but her voice was just so fine angry
Since that day i ask her to stand ontop her locker whenever i'm in the class. grin

More coming. . . .

Say yours!! cheesy

wesley80: Obielum is with Ogboru and the DPP and will continue to lose ala Buhari. As for your Gabriel, I've never heard of him and that speaks volumes. Every honest analyst knows Delta state is still firmly in the hands of the PDP. I dont expect any change come 2015.
I read somewhere that Ogboru has decamped to the PDP.
PoliticsRe: Anioma Agenda 2015 by Afam4eva(m): 7:09am On Nov 21, 2013
I think PDP will most likely present an Anioma candidate in Ifeanyi Okowa. But i think what Anioma needs is a state.
