Edwin Clark is quite shameless. As an old man, what you bequeath to the coming generation is just the truth and nothing else! He was among the other shameless people that refused to tell GEJ the truth when he was in power.

Look at him now fooling his old age and talking anyhow when some few months back you were singing another song.

People like Sanusi maintained their stance that billions of dollars were being misappropriated and he took the hammer for it but maintained his integrity.

cheesy I thought he was forming James Bond before and damning everybody. Lol

I like PMB make I no lie. He didn't even join issues with Saraki, yet, the man has not had peace with himself.

Always running from pillar to post. After making spirited efforts to see PMB, PMB finally had pity on him and met him for some mins on October 1.

PMB in his usual stoic self was non-committal and frankly told him to go and make peace with all parties.

Before we know it, the arrogant Bukola had to seek audience with the erudite Prof he ignorantly referred to as 'mere commissioner'. grin.

The Prof was just nodding his head at all the plenty unsolicited explanations the now humbled Saraki was offering. Lol.

After boring the VP for almost 2hrs, the Prof of Law and Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had to excuse himself and made Bukola realise that he is a simple man of God and had no issues with him Saraki. He also reminded Saraki tht he cannot interfere in the proceedings of a competent court of law moreso given his status and vast knowledge of the law.

The disappointed and morose Saraki had no choice but to remove himself from sight (apologies to Domino's Batiatus grin). He left the presidential villa more humbled and confused.

Like the proverbial dog that will always go back to its vomit, the erstwhile arrogant man is now calling at the home of Akume, seeking to get a way out of the hole he gat himself into.

chukwudi44:
The bill to confer immunity on the leadership of the NASS and the CJN is not an amendment as there currently exists no such immunity to be amended!! A fresh bill will be introduced to confer immunity on the leadership of the other two arms of government that is currently been enjoyed by the executive arms alone!!

It is either the immunity law is scrapped altogether or it is made to go round the other arms of government as well!! We cannot allow the legislature to become a rubber stamp of the executive through mindless harrassments and intimdation!!An independent legislature is the bedrock of any functional democracy!!! A rubber stamp legislature breeds dictatorship and messes up the whole democratic process of checks and balances.
The constitution is superior to any other law. In as much as the constitution did not confer such immunity on the Senate President and Speaker, any attempt to get same through the back door is null and void.

They think they are smart. They know it will be difficult to get the constitution amended to include the obnoxious immunity. They now want to go through the back door and send it in as a bill, which can then be passed as Act. They re quite funny, they know that if the president witholds his assent to a bill passed, 2/3rds majority of NASS can overule the president after a while, and the bill will become a law.

But what u senile old man and them did not realise is that the law will be contradicting the provisions of the constitution.

The constitution did not provide that the senate president and speaker have immunity, as such, an Act of the National Assembly that seeks to make it so will be null and void.

The constitution is supreme!

So you expect a fighter jet patrolling to engage ?

You are just blindfolded with religious sentiments.

Isreal with their military mights and arsenal can engage any country.

If Russia want to show strength, hey should enter Isreal's airspace or probably allow any rocket from syria to Isreal.
Russia don't need to show strength to lsreal. Even, Isreal's big brother, US, knows the capacity of Russia.

Even US cannot tackle Russia on its own, and had to form a consortium of countries called NATO, just to be able to equal the threat of Russia alone to the entire European continent.

Till date, Isreal and US has been doing all they can to persuade Russia from selling advanced air defence system to Iran. If indeed Russian military gadgets poses no threat, then why the worry?

Not everyone is egocentric like u. Because Russia decides not to be an aggressor does not mean it cannot obliterate Isreal entire air fleet in the event of a conflict.

Russia is superior to Isreal militarily, that is an undisputable fact. Infact Isreal is usually graded from number 7 and below in the world's strongest military ranking.

PoliticsRe: Conspiracy Theory On The Abuja Bomb Blast by agabusta: 7:43am On Oct 04, 2015
toludadon:
We are all saddened by the senseless loss of lives that occurred yesterday at the federal capital. Nyanya and Kuje to be precise, where some people who have sold their souls to the devil decided to kill innocent people going about their normal lives.
There is something that struck me after the bomb blast yesterday and I thought to myself if it could be true.
Earlier in the day, the news filtered in of the the arrest of the oil goddess, the all powerful immediate past petroleum minister, Diezani Allison Madueke in far away away London and hours later bombs were flying in Abuja.
The questions are:
1. We have been told severally by the Americans that the source of finance of Bokoharam is not through wired transfer but through some illegally siphoned oil deals, could this be a fightback from the powerful oil Lords.
2. During the October bombing that occurred at Abuja in 2010, there were attempts to blame the attack on some powerful northern elements before Henry Okah came out to admit that the attacks were carried out on the orders of the GEJ through a direct communication with the oil goddess and even went further to provide the call details between himself and Diezani. Is it safe to say that they have started playing the psy op card?

Lalasticlala, oya over to you
Don't mind all the 'he goats' rushing with their perverted horns to attack you. It just shows they are very dull in reasoning, and not ready to think beyond their emotions.

What you posed is a question, and some of the dullards are even making assertions in their senseless responses sef as to the arrowhead of Bokoharam. You simply posed a question and at the same time encouraging people to do some thinking and see if there is indeed a connection.

Intelligent people don't rush into conclusions.

Nothing can be taken for granted in the world of trying to resolve crime and the motive for crime. Seasoned investigators don't use emotions to knock out a new line of investigation.

Eventhough u may be wrong or right, the fact that u are ready to exercise your reasoning to another dimension shows you are intellectually superior to the Mofos that replied with abuses instead of sensible intelligent counter arguments.

You see, what I have come to realise is that there seems to be different people carrying out different crimes and hiding under the banner of boko haram and fulani herdsmen. This should not be taken for granted by the security agencies.

Nothing can be pushed aside, in a situation where huge sums of money that can be used to finance a war is even involved.

There are different ways of passing money to champion a particular course without the people at the front line of the course even knowing the source of the funds.

Now i'm not saying this is the case, but security agencies can do some digging to establish if there is indeed a connection. It may be worth the try.

There are so many Arab countries where the US is financing chaos and the people in that country actively involved in the chaos do not know that it is the US that is financing them! They think they are fighting for their own ideology, whereas it is the US that is in the background and using them to achieve its own ambitions and goals.

I beg to differ bro, 1st of all I don't think Most/All Nairalanders are kids or unemployed graduates. I am an ardent member of this forum and I am gainfully employed and even a professional in my field. I have my reservations about igbos and I am sure millions of other Yorubas have their issue with igbos too.

I have work in an office where I have Igbo colleagues and we relate professionally but that doesn't mean we don't hold grudges against each others' tribes deep down our hearts. The cooperation you see real time is just pretence and an attempt at National Unity or political correctness.

Yorubas would have been able to compromise and vote Rocha's Okorocha ( I love Rochas as a politician of Igbo extraction due to being detribalised) but the recent happenings in the Political arena of Nigeria and the hate being peddled online (Believe me when I say Nairaland and other Online platforms are radicalizing mostly Yoruba's) has ruined any chances of political cooperation between these 2 tribes.

Igbos lost the commissioner seat in the Lagos cabinet due to the realisation of majority of Yorubas that the igbos hated us. The igbos have always hated Yorubas since after the Civil War but the Yorubas never knew or suspected until the igbos got really close to the Presidency via Good luck Jonathan's ascendancy to the Office of President which gave the igbos the opportunity to show their deep seated hate for Yoruba. The latest development now is that the Yorubas now know you hate them and also wish to take over their most developed state (Lagos) and are now planning to protect themselves and interests. Now tell me brother, do you think the Yorubas will be foolish enough to vote for an Igbo President when they are now aware of the hate igbos have for them?

The foregoing my brother is the fact of the issue as far as Nigeria/igbo-Yoruba relations are concerned. Anybody that tells you anything contrary to the above is deceiving you.
Bros the part of your write-up that I can boldly say is a fact is 'that the social media is radicalizing a lot of yorubas'. That is a big fact.

Rochas is a dead case!
He's hated by majority of Igbos, how is this majority going to put behind their hatred for Rochas to see him become president of Nigeria and benefit nothing from it?

I laugh really hard when people talk of Rochas running for 2019 presidency. It actually means that you all think that an Hausa man will ignore his brother, Mohammed to vote for an Okorocha who has been repeatedly denied by his people.

Igbo President is just a mirage, we can do more building our region or better still agitate for a country of our own where you and I and Okorocha have a realistic chance of being a president.
Rochas has political clout in the North just like Obasanjo. Eventhough Obasanjo was not voted for by the SW in 1999, the North and SE voted for him and he was able to win with that.

No matter what, if Rochas contests as the president, he will still gather majority votes in Imo and Abia states. If he plays his game right, he will get the full SW support and with his Northern connection he can get Northern support against a Northerner especially if he was annoited by Buhari and Buhari thoroughly campaigns for him.

Yoruba hope of fielding a Yoruba in 2019 or 2023 has been destroyed by this deft move by PDP.

This is a masterstroke as Yoruba calculations have been seriously undermined.

Tinubu thought that supporting Buhari will earn him the presidency in due course as northerners will support Yoruba in return. But in actual fact, a northerner will always support yet another northerner, so Yoruba calculatiins have been upturned.

Actually, the Yorubas have completely lost out. The more I think of it, this is a wise move by SE/SS-controlled PDP. because whenever APC fields a Yoruba, PDP will field a northerner. My fellow Igbos who are looking at this move by PDP via a short term spectacle, will eventually appreciate the wizardry in this decision.

Sea ports is a very big capital intensive project that can only be embarked on by FG considering the current economic situation. And akwa-ibom Can not just do that.

Lagos state govt did not build the port in Lagos, FG did, and with money generated from naija exports.
The FG also built a Port in Onne, Calabar and Warri. What is stopping the governors from those regions from putting pressure on the FGN to make those ports viable?? The last president that was in the saddle for the past 6 years was from the SS. The SS has the highest number of ports sited in their area. How come all the SS governors and GEJ did not make those ports viable. Does that not interest you?

Now coming to your statement that FG built those earlier ports. Sincerely, I dont think the FG has the financial muscle to build any port for now. Those waiting and expecting the FG to come and build a port for them are just on a long thing.

Lagos state Govt is already embarking on the construction of a deep sea port in Lekki. Smart Lagos state tagged it a joint venture btw Lagos, FGN, and some private investors.

http://sunnewsonline.com/new/work-commences-on-n325bn-lekki-deep-seaport/

http://www.lekkiport.com/

Apart from the Lekki deep sea port, there is also plans by the Lagos State Govt to build another port in Badagry! Imagine such foresight. If Lagos succeeds in building these two ports, that means Lagos alone will have four big ports!

This are evidences about the plans for the Badagry sea port for you. It is even tagged the deepest sea port.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/1-5bn-badagry-port-construction-begins-sept-lasg/

http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/lagos-unveils-africa-s-biggest-deep-sea-port-in-badagry/214842/

Despite the plan to construct all these ports, Lagos is similarly building an international high way to connect Lagos and the neighboring country. This road is complete with a rail corridor. This is a Federal road, but Lagos has recognized the importance of this road to its socio-economics and has decided to embark on the bold project. You people better start electing people with foresight and vision to be governors over there, and stop crying and waiting for the FGN.

Abeg tell me, what is stopping other SS states from embarking on such a similar ventures?? Akwa Ibom is quite financially capable of such, but it is only rhetorics we have been hearing all this while about the Ibaka seaport. What is stopping Akwa Ibom from actualising this project during Akpabio's regime that they had so much rapport with the FGN?

I strongly believe if it was that port Akpabio constructed instead of that stadium, it would have had more economic advantage. A stadium can then be built thereafter.

Yes, he is correct,

1. FG should site other sea ports in other parts of naija, and watch lagos de-congest.

2. FG should make other federal airports in naija to be as standardized as MMI airport and watch lagos de-congest.

And so many of them.
That is one of the acclaimed achievements of Odua/GEJ. Upgrade of airports in Enugu and Port Harcourt. Or did GEJ scam us?? Was there no such upgrade?

Cost of doing business in Lagos is very high.
By the time a deep sea port is located in Akwa Ibom state most of eastern business men would relocate.

The oil companies headquarters in Lagos like chevron, Total, mobil have no business staying in Lagos, they should be made relocate to the niger delta hosting the oil wells.
Including NNPC too.

Consulate offices of the major destinations should open office in Port Harcourt and Enugu. Like China, Britain, France Germany, US, South Africa.

The federal government should invest in infrastructure like repairs of highways linking major cities in the niger delta.,making Enugu international airport same standard as Abuja international airport.

More than half of the visitors in Lagos would gladly leave. Lagos would become less congested, the cries of marginalization will reduce, dissent and plans for Secession will die out. The economy will be boosted and reinvigorated. And the gdp of the country would improve with more jobs created.
All you said is on point except the bold. Why should you force anyone to relocate its headquarters?? It should be a freewill thing. The FGN can only advise but not force. Forcing companies to relocate out of Lagos will be counter productive.

If I have a company mining gold in Gombe, the fact that my mine is in Gombe does not mean I have to compulsorily site my headquarters in Gombe. I can decide to have my headquarters in Kaduna to coordinate all my mines in different parts of the country. Forcing me to site my headquarters in a particular place is highly dictatorial, and will be counterproductive. The places companies site their headquarters is for convenience sake on the part of the company depending a lot of factors.

APC should wait for who PDP brings out as VP....which in guessing is a south easterner. Then the only way to match PDP is to bring out a South southerner as vp.

If they still stick to the Yoruba vice, the south south in totality will lean towards pdp.

Considering the margin when GEJ list out, I think if APC makes the slightest mistake, PDP Will take back power.

My own view is so far as there's no corruption in the system, anyone can rule. The best thing to happen to us as a country was breaking the one party system.
PDP will definitely pick a SE to back a Northern presidential candidate.

In contrast to what you said, it will be of advantage to the APC if they take a very popular SW candidate to back their own Northern candidate. APC do not have a SS politician that can command the numbers they need. They will have to bank on the full support of the SW and NC to counter the votes of the SS and SE. If Buhari still contest he will definitely win the North hands down in 2019. In the event of Buhari stepping aside, El-Rufai and Kwankwanso are equally very popular in the North. If backed by a very popular SW candidate, combined with the sentiments of incumbency, they may scale through. And that is if the current regime performs well.
