FamilyRe: Suggestions? If An Unmarried Lady Wants Her Own Baby, But Can’t Find A Husband? by agiboma(f): 1:51am On Jan 22, 2013
IMO if a single women wants a child and she can afford to take care of teh child then she should go into and agreement with a man and do just that. As long as she's not breaking up any homes and her and the man have a complete undersanding then i see no problem with this.

FamilyRe: Protect Your Little Boys as u do to girls by agiboma(f): 2:59pm On Jan 19, 2013
@ op I totally agree with you my son is 30 months and since teh age of 18 months i have been telling him about his private parts we call it his "peee pee" i am building this foundation with him so i can continueree to build on this knowledge as he grows older. Both me and his father will let him no that no one is suppose to touch his pee pee or any other private part on his body. Boys and girls need to be protectied all the same with pedophiles running around left right and center.

FamilyRe: What Has Parenthood Changed About You? by agiboma(f): 1:54pm On Jan 15, 2013
becoming a mom has made me less selfish it used to be all about me and no one but me prior to having my son. Now i know what it is like to give selflessly and make sacrifices for his betterment.I know what its like to love beyound limits, the greatest love in my opion the love a mother has for her children.

@ dominique congrats your almost due. Your weight gain is fine as long as baby is measuring correct and not IUGR their is no problem perhapes all the weight is going to the baby. Also the baby gets the most weight after 34 weeks it really starts to pack on the fat, becuse its been busy growing everything else prior.
As for me Although this pregnancy health wise has been easier for me its certainly much harder becuase of my 29 month old that is full of energy and is not happy unles he is jumping untop my head.
@monie congrats and welcome to the thread. hmm -17 sounds pretty darn cold sounds like you in the same region im in

FamilyRe: Stop The Violence Against Men!!!! by agiboma(f): 10:45am On Jan 14, 2013
Abuse in general is wrong. I have know many girlfriends that beat up their significant other. Its wrong and the couple especially the abuser needs to work on thier anger issues befor things escalate. Problem in Nigeria is their are very little support systems inplaced to help with such mental health issues. The culture on a whole sucha topic would be considered to be taboo. It starts with society on a whole realizing that this is a problem and programs need to be inplaced to take care of it. Butr i mean they have not even scratched the surface of female physical abused by their male partneers so this one is certainly a long shot.
FamilyRe: Divorce Settlement And Child-Support Be Introduced In Nigeria? by agiboma(f): 10:38am On Jan 14, 2013
Not only should it be inplaced but women should also receive a settlement when they divorce the husband like most civilized countries where the assests are divided up 50/50.
CelebritiesRe: Last Photo Of Bisi Komolafe In Hospital Before Her Death by agiboma(f): 2:00am On Jan 03, 2013
Well if she was pregnant and then the baby was removed to save her life sounds like something that could have been prevented. I have a clinic in PH and TBH the things and condition that most of the women come in is very very scary. Saw a death a few months ago that was also very preventable with proper medical care. Its real sad the health care situation in Nigeria.

Happy new year all
@ Prettymomma did they describe to you the location of the fibroids, size etc. Thats important because depending on the location of the said fibroid it will determine the effects if ANY it will have on the pregnancy. GL

FamilyRe: How 2-month-old Baby Was Stolen In Market On Christmas EVE by agiboma(f): 3:31am On Dec 28, 2012
This is a terrible story just aweful the poor parents. For me when i was in Nigeria I could not even leave my son with his aunts, I would be going out and would always take him with me anywhere and everywhere. The only person i trusted him with was his father. He's 2 1/2 now and I leave him with my mom and sister these days, if we go out he is always within my eyesight.I am one of those overprotctive and paronoid mothers because of reasons listed in the post. I hope they find the baby and return him to his parents, may g-d comfort the parents in this time of distress.
RomanceRe: My Boyfriend Is Married In Nigeria! by agiboma(f): 2:46am On Dec 26, 2012
@ OP Im also non Nigerian married and have 2 kids for an Igbo man. Well i can see you love this man, but in reality he is not for you, he has a wife. Its possible he wants a baby with you so he can be more polygamous. The truth is that you found out about the marriage now you can choose to stay with a married man or you can move on and let it be. The choice is yours. You dont need any other proof. Perhapes he is fileing for the wife and the papers have not come through yet or maybe he just wants to keep her in Nigeria and you in the USA. How did he get his papers for the USA in teh first place? There is a reson why th ewife is not their with him but none the less, ask yourself this question, "are you comforteble being with a married man" and let your answer guide your decision making. GL
btw yes its possible for them to lead a double life it seems easier for these men than others, you have not been to Nigeria so you cant completly understand the cultural dynamics in which this man has grown.
HealthRe: Excessive Menstral Flow by agiboma(f): 12:43am On Dec 26, 2012

FamilyRe: Greatgod2012 Emerged the Family Section Poster Of The Year 2012 - by agiboma(f): 6:13pm On Dec 24, 2012
Its unfair DB is the winner and girl you should own up to your mistake. You knew that she did not qualify from the onset or whenever you found out. You should have immediately removed her name from the list. But you did NOT, she got the majority of votes to NO fault of her own. So be a responsible moderator and do the right thing. Announce her as the winner, perhapes next year youll be more vigilent on the nominees and more careful is accessing their eligibility to be nominated as poster of the year.

FamilyRe: family matas by agiboma(f): 3:35pm On Dec 23, 2012
Well I think DB said it all no need to go any further, Since you are able to support yourself financially you can move on and hope for the best moving forward or the other option is to stay and manage, you choose which option you can best live with. GL

FamilyRe: Would You Ask Someone Else To Discipline Your Child For You? by agiboma(f): 3:26pm On Dec 23, 2012
@ OP when you say "discipline" to you mean hit/beat your child. I dont beleive in spanking so i would not beat my child nor will i allow others to do so. If for example my son is in School and he does something wrong certainly the teacher should verbally correct him and thats it noting more.
