@ OP if you are putting the church in front of your precious children then you really have a problem. Why are you asking this silly question on NL. Take your children out of that place.
Hi Agiboma, been a while gurlie, well haven't been around too. How's it going? nearly getting there huh, congrats once again. As you can see, its a free for all session, so anyone can nominate whomever they feel would have an interesting story to tell.

For example Naijababe and Siena were put forward by the OP, whilst Jarus was put forward by Odunnu, and they indicated their readiness for the show hence reason these 3 are the first going through. So its a open session thingy wink
BB i am wonderful and yes i am almost their,YEAH!!!!! Have not posted on here in a few months because of the Masters course im doing, i have a few exam's and a Thesis to complete so that has me busy. Back home in Canada now and catching up with my folks, so all in all yes im very happy smiley. Hanging out with my girlfriends and catching up on old times. No green eyed monster in my house. cheesy cheesy cheesy

chaircover: agiboma there was absolutely no need for any of that and I am not going to go down into the gutter with you which is what you clearly want. You have been conveniently ignored for long enough and it will surprise me if anyone bothers to rise to your bait.

However for the record, By all means its a free forum, so feel free to paste whatever you want about your relationship. No one!!! absolutely no one!!!! is stopping you.

Just one small thing whilst I have your attention . . . .errrmmmmm how do you know that anyone is putting up a persona that doesn't exist & deceiving ourselves as you say? and since you know this already, shouldn't you just deal with yours and leave everyone elses? undecided

anyways have a good afternoon and I am looking forward to hear from a true marriage as per the gospel of st agi.

BB your attention is needed here!!
BB is not needed at all let the woman B. yes and please do keep on ignoring me, thats a good thing. You know i am very outspoken and must say things my way as you do likewise. Its a pitty i dont follow and belong to your group that is why i am considered an outsider hey that's ok with me. What work's in my house wont work in your and vice versa. Anyhow GL to you people with your show.
@Efenma not an attack just stating the obvious or perhapes you are part of them i am not sure i have not really read up on much of your post either way i must always voice my opinion till i get banned. Lastly my last paragraph dripped with acid because the truth hurts simple its human nature, maybe this rings through in your life IDK and im not making any assumptions but its time people step in to the reality of life which is harder for some to do than others.
FamilyRe: Family Section Reality Show - Keeping Up With Nairalanders by agiboma(f): 12:03pm On Nov 25, 2012
chaircover: To be honest, it is going to be virtually impossible to get this exercise to mimic the reality shows that we watch on TV.

Why? because first of all we are all a judgmental lot and no one is going to confess to insulting her husband/slapping his wife on here even though we know that these things do happen and also because as far as I know, there are only 3 married couples on nairaland. . . . of course there may be more but to get a real fly on the wall rounded view of the full marriage, both husband and wife have to be on here to give their own personal thoughts/views/narration of events.

I may also come and share something which may be totally different from the way that my husband sees it. So I am not really sharing the REAL BALANCED experience and I am just stating things from my own point of view which though may be true for me, may not sit the same way with my husband.

At most, what we will get from this is a diary of events seen from one part of the marriage side (which I gave an example on happy friday) and so I think that we should treat this as it is, which is just some fun to peer behind some curtains.
It is certainly not a marriage seminar or marriage counseling course, and therefore anyone should be welcome married or not, happy or not to share anything at all about their relationships.
I am glad you responded CC because tbh i see you are totally into the concept of the reality show because you share the same beleifs about marriage as the OP so birds of a feather flock together as the saying goes. Even if its one person sharing the expereince from the marriage it is ok. But let their be variety for crying out loud. Look marriage today with so many obstacles does not replicate the disney cinderella fairytale etc. People have issues and this good and bad marriage thing is simply too old and played out. You mentioned no one is going to say they slapped their wife/husband. Well perhapes you may not say so, but i have always been completly honest to a fault on NL and yes i would say if i fought physically with my DH.

The truth is some of you people are to secrative hiding behind you know what putting up a personna that does not exist. Making it look like your relationships are problem free, deceiving yourselves and that is why you cannot come and NL and admit to any issues in your marriage. Then their are teh one's like me who post with brutal honesty and get crucified for it. Any how you people do your show but in my opinion it showed be called fantasy land and not a "reality show" because it just does not have the fundations for such IMO.

From what i know of him personally he is a very good business man that ONLY takes well calculated business risk!
FamilyRe: Family Section Reality Show - Keeping Up With Nairalanders by agiboma(f): 1:09am On Nov 25, 2012
Well here is my two cents: I think the "reality show" is a good idea if it indeed depicts the true "reality " of marriages today and not the ideal or pre concived notion of one individual perception of marriage i.e the OP. So here we go with a "so called reality show" but its not a reality show because the cast is selected by the OP who already has her opinion set in stone of what a marriage truely should be. When here "reality" of marriage may not be the same as another person's reality of marriage.
This show can only work if the following is in placed, so far the concept is totally skewed and is rally a figment of the OP's imagination, the concept itself lacks dept. The bottom line is if you want to reach the audience on NL, you should try to incorporate the following:

1.) Include many participants @ least 5 married couples depicting their live, like most reality shows their are usually 5+ people they are following.
2.) These people should be all sorts of charecters, with different personalities, i.e people with open marriages, long distance relationships, etc.
3.) Married couples who are newleweds, long term marriages etc.

The concept of "a couple with a good marriage" and a "bad marriage" is so old and 1920's variety need to be put in place to make the concept a little more exciting. Also if possible you can be non bias shocked and actually moderate the thread that would be a welcomed gesture!
Wow!!!

People are nuts these days
Its people like you and comments like this that make the problem go unoticed its so obvious the poor woman was suffering from PPD or (post partum depression). It happens in some women after they give birth and their hormones are returning to normal. No resources or education on this disorder is the biggest tragedy of all when locals will say ohh
she was sick or possessed. More education and awarness needs to be placed on tis topic. It should be standared in antenatal care for all women and their family.

good for the victim and her family i hope he pays whether it financial or actual jail time, in this Nigeria i think a good financial settlement will go a long way for the young girl and her baby. Hope this is a landmark case and will encourage more victims to start speaking out.

Blendy77: Madam Agiboma, in as much as I wodn't want to derail this thread from its original purpose, I sincerely think you need to understand one or two things here. I definitely wodn't have replied you if you had stated explicitely that you are not a christian and as such those who are advising others to pray should stop doing so becos of u. Rather you generalized ur statement as if some other people asked you to speak on their behalf. Which from what I can see here is not the case.
Secondly, calling on the name of God in time of need is not calling the name of God in vain if that is what your new religion teaches you. Am very sure u're aware that churches did not shut down because Agiboma left christianity so let's leave that for another day.
Another thing you shod note is the fact that since u're already pregnant without the hand of God and prayers, you should gladly exit this forum and start another one on ttc non christians as I earlier advised because we won't stop praying becos Agiboma says so. Am already pregnant as u have read so won't stop praying becos it disturbs somebody who feels christianity is not worth it.
Babe I still have more things to tell u but really don't want to derail this thread so let's talk via email and leave these Sisters in God's waiting room to continue in what they believe in PRAYERS. My email address is ruonar2000@yahoo.com. Come and convince me via email why I shod stop praying becos of ur believe
I only waste my time with people that have common sense. For the record i do pray to the same g-d you do, my beleifts and spiritual elevation are way above your minimal level of comprehension goodbye no further comment to you

champs: Hi,I have been silently stalking your journal on babyandbump,i hope you don't mind wink.I pray you have stress free pregnancy this time around, btw, your son is cute.
Champs thanks very much i think he is the sweetest thing also i share a lot on this thread even on the other forum in hopes of helping soemone, someday, somewhere i am home now and going to see the high risk doctor, ill be having surgery soon but ill keep everyone updated in my journal, drop a comment would love to talk to you their. The dynamics on that forum are so different i am sure you can see the difference in post. wink wink
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by agiboma(f): 12:05am On Sep 23, 2012
Blendy77: I really don't enjoy attacking people and their personality or religion but agiboma's spelling of God in most of her post attracted my attention and I've been wondering if its responsible for her recent call to create another section called ttc prayers. Babe could you be fighting for yourself due to your religious inclinations? If that is the case then maybe you can start a thread on ttc for non christians. cos like someone rightly said, everyone acknowledges that Children are from God cos even Drs tell u to go and pray when your case is beyond them. please if you're a true Christian like you said, help us and edit the your spelling of God as no true Christian will belittle their God that way.
I can see that you really dont understand what i ment and my intentions so i wll list them below:

1.) I am not a Christian, i will never revert back to Christianity, for very personal reason's
2.) The thread title is not "Christians TTC, its simply TTT"
3.) Its unfair for non Christians to have to filter through all this stuff on this thread, its a public forum if you want to pay special emphasis on religion start a new thread like i said befor, or stick to only TTC topics and leave religion out of it
5.) You mention belittleing g-d are you remotely serious here with that statement, i have more respect for g-d so much so that i dont say his name that is the extent of my fear of him, doesn't your bible say "dont call g-d name in vain, for me i take it a step further and dont call his name or write his name, if that is not respect for g-d then i dont know what is
6.) Personally the happiest time of my life is when i left the church and was not allowing paster's that need more prayeers for themselves to pray for me, i took my sprituality in my own hands and found g-d unlike any church could have led me to it, but that takes hard work.

At the end of the day i have nothing against Christian, muslims, jews etc, like i said i am spiritual and i dont belong specifically to any religion.
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by agiboma(f): 11:10pm On Sep 18, 2012
Pink22: I don't see the need for all this fuse about prayers. Every one prays, xtians, Muslims, pudist etc.
We can all pray together on the set time but in our own individual believes, c'mon lets not to these , ttc is enough headache on its own .thanks every one for ur encouragements, still some browny discharge ( sorry) didn't get to do the blood test again cos of the discharge
No fuss pink. Im very outspoken and its often my downfall, dont mean to offend anyone on here just want to make it a comforteble enviornment for us all. Yes ttc is very stressful and it is true that its our faith whatever it may be that will see us through it wink. About the discharge it could be implantation bleeding brown dischage is old blood and its better than bright red blood which is fresh blood. Have you got your progesterone levels checked? Are you in Nigeria? If you where elsewhere i would suggest also having the hcg levels tested to see if they are doubelling accordingly. When im in Canada i can get those test very easy. I paid about 5k naira to have hcg levels tested and they gave me the wrong results, so if you in Nigeria and choose to do so find a good lab so you dont end up wasting your money.GL sticky baby dust your way!!!!!
HealthRe: Trying To Conceive A Child? TTC by agiboma(f): 8:15pm On Sep 18, 2012
dominique: is that necessary? i'm yet to come accross anyone who find the prayers and Bible quotes here offensive. such thread would be more appropriate on the Religion board.
Yes it is necessary. Their are Muslim members among the regular posters on this thread, and i dont want to mention their user names, is this fair to them?

Alwaystrue: @agiboma,
non-Christians can still be encouraged and transformed by the words of faith here.
Honestly this statement is just unfair. Why must everyone conform to Christianity? If you where on this board and Muslim members where praying their traditional prayers how would you feel? Like Christianlity is your faith, other also have their own specific faiths and trying to enforce anothers beleif is just uncalled for. I think the thread should remain. TTC and if folks what to pray they should do it elsewhere.

I am not an atheist and speak about g-d all the time, but their is a place for everything.

Hi all,

I think its great that you are all praying, but please respectively keep in mind not all the members on the forum or follow this thread are Christians. Perhapes starting a new thread Christians TTC would be a good idea so some folks dont feel left out.

Just a suggestion.
