Is Nedum lalasticlala's brother? How time flies, so he is now 30? Remembering those days wen d guy de form for naija. I hope his dream of playing for d 3 Lions comes tru. Happy birthday to him. |
They are all welcome to Nigeria. An Injured desert fox can't stand d eagle in an open field. They'll serve as a good meal at d Nest of Champions. Soar Eagles Fly Nigeria. |
Na barbecue u dey envision abi na wetin? Looolll
Aha... All d same-but 'll prefer an hausa made 'SUYA'*Smiles* |
What!!!? Wait a moment... What am I seeing? Threads on how to get NigvsAlg matchday ticket on nairaland sport section? Can somebody explain this? |
*Sighs* hmmm... *takes in a deep breath* I'm already anticipating how d smell (aroma) of a roasted Algeria team will climb up d stadium diffusing round d nation therefore leaving Nigerians to no other option dan to savour for more. Etebo-Nacho combo gotta be lethal. |
tbaba1234:Only 10? Well, wishing others safe arrival. Thanks 4 d update Sir. tbaba. |
Icon4s:All yak's goals counted to nothing at Nairobi. Can still remember that Our only life line was to WIN n our fate hanging on d outcome of d match between Moz n Tun. Banking on Mozambique to either draw or defeat Tunisia in Maputo. Yak started d match n we were already a goal down in d first half. D introduction of Oba by late Shuaibu restore parity. But this same yak saw another clean chance to double t but went to hit d upright before luck brought d ball back to him to tuck it in. Oba's second strike ensured our qualification. Bottomline: Not taking anything away from yak, he still remain one of our top striker. But he was already passed t in d green white green before d winter of 2010... |
tglobal:was t d same yak or a different worldcup? Yak was already wack before 2010. Obagoal was far ahead of him den. But d reason he got d nod ahead of Oba still de baffle till now. |
Hmmm... My own mind no even de this goalie matter again. Na how tomorow n sunday matches go go smoothly-na im i just de think. We can't afford to loose more players to injuries(read that algeria has lost Bentaleb to injury). I'll rather have 10 best players who de gidigba for pitch n an average goalie than having a best goalkeeper between d sticks n an average half-fit 10players, atleast d former will cover d weakness of d team. E de do me as if make our players no feature for their respective clubs wknd matches. |
Jefersoun:all accolades should be directed to d super analysts who have been keeping d threads going. you're highly welcome-hope to see more of you here. |
tbaba1234:this is getting serious... But y now? |

TheSuperNerd:A very sad one. Who do we turn to? Enyeama?-a major doubt. Akpeyi? Not really trusted for such a game. E. Daniel? C. Agbim?-tested but not trusted. Ezenwa might have stand inbtwn d sticks for NPFLstars against Atletico-but this is no preseason. Though he is in d pole positon to start. I do think it's time d Presidency n NFF step in n reach out to Vincent to come out f retirement-he is our best shot for now. |
tbaba1234:*smiles* I'm not disputing ur assertion but t is no assurance. Sometimes in life one has to grab an opportunity life presents as t comes cos t might not cross ones way again. HIs chances will be getting slimmer wit each day passing by. With d possibilities of M. Mohammed (getting a better club/regular game time), Ola aina, Moses Odubajo, brain Idowu n a much younger Lazarus pledging dia allegiance to d Green white Green -I don't see him standing a chance. If he can deny us now, I don't think he'll consider us when he becomes one f d best in his position(which we wish he becomes) though Alaba's miss is so painful. We must be cautious n stop showing desperation in our quest to cap these diasporans . As regretful it s to us, so t might have been with him for not waiting enough-cos his chances of winning a major international trophy with Austria is unreal. |
forgiveness:You again? You no de tired ni? Atleast one of ur boys just disappointed us. What is d assurance se this one too no go follow suit. Abeg take ur time o Sir. Forgiveness. |
tbaba1234:Thanks Sir. We really need our best armor for dis clash. |
Any update on Carl's injury from Wolverhampton? |
Icon4s:*Smiles* so you de root for 3-goals banging. ...With God all things are possible. |
safarigirl:A win will only be d best way to celebrate d landmark n to kick start another centenary journey. |
TheSuperNerd:Amin oooo!!! What a month it gotta be! Full of football activities for our national teams(WCQ-SE, WYWC-FALCONETS, AWC-SUPER FALCONS) I hope t becomes a memorable one. |
FROM FAYEMI TO IHEANACHO: IT'S 167 GOALS Pa Dejo Fayemi, the octogenarian now living Ibadan holds the record of scoring Nigeria's first World Cup qualifying goal. He did that when his 50thminute strike reduced the tally to 2-1 in an eventual 4-1 loss to the Black Stars of Ghana in Accra on August 28, 1960. Fayemi scored again in the return leg match in Lagos that ended 2-2. Till date, Nigeria's number of goals has risen to 167 making the Super Eagles the second team behind Tunisia as side with most goals in all-time ranking of scorers among African teams in the World Cup qualifying series. But on January 7, 2001 in Port Harcourt, Nigeria became the first African side to hit the 100-goal mark in the World Cup qualifiers following a 3-0 defeat of Sudan. The historic 100thgoal was scored by in the 57thminute by Victor Agali when he raised the score line to 2-0. Obafemi Martin's goal against Kenya in Nairobi which brought score line to 1-1 on the road to South Africa 2010 was Nigeria's 150thgoal since that of Fayemi in 1960. Happy New Month!!! |
TheGoodJoe:less I repeat thesame thing Sir. Blueto said. The two players I mentioned represents d group of players who do not deserve call up but mostly found on indigenous coachies list. You 're now portraying late keshi, siasia as saints of this system. But you've forgotten so quick that t was d same keshi who put Agbim between d sticks, went to d worldcup with ukoh, azeez, ameobi... n siasia who didn't invite a fit n informed I. success but went all d way to start Aminu ahead of Iwobi n Nacho in Alexandra claiming that de're ain't mature enough. Rohr is dedicated to his job and he is not handling t wit levity(an I don't care attitude mostly found wit d indig.) I know you might say our owns are made to work under harsh condition of empty stomach. Fine. But can you tell who catered for Rohr's recent trip to England? I'm doubt it is d poverty-ridden nff. |
phamarsenal:you're so on point Sir. Sometimes, I see our ouster from AFCON'17 and our inability to clinge gold @ Rio as a blessing in disguise. Imagine our national team under d tutelage of a local coach. A certain Aminu, sadiq(i'm not saying de ain't good but d're not d best) et al., will be leading our team. The best will never be invited. Chai!!! We don suffer... those folks have really dragged d national team in muddy waters cos of their egos n personal interests. If it were before d news line from our opponent will read thus: Nigeria no longer Giants f Africa. Nigeria living on past glories... And so on... But thank God those are now in d past. In a short time, very soon, The SUPER EAGLES will once again spread it's wing, soar n be a force to reckon wit in Africa and d World at large. God bless d FRN!!! God bless Rohr!!! God bless NLsportcast!!! |
Nigeria vs Algeria WCQ's match gonna be a cracker!!! Tipping t to be d match of d break. Still waiting for d official announcement of d list. |
Better late than never. Happy Birthday to Sir. Tglobal. Age with grace! |
TheSuperNerd:hmmm... Something is fishing. I don't want to trust this watford club again o. Late yesterday de came out n said he won't be available against hull city. Fine. But how can you keep an injured player for d past 2wks without running run some scan to know d magnitude of his injury n when he'll be back. I just hope de don't mess up wit his career. |
tbaba1234:welldone Sir. Tbaba1234. Can't believe my eyes... So success don outgrow Ighalo(wetin dis guys de chop). Definitely, we've gotten t right in our age grade team. Thanks to Coach G. Manu n thanks to MRI. Pictures putting doubters to shame since 2013. |
forgiveness:yep, it was against maradona tutored side. |
