Tissaia: Here's something to chew on. Tinubu is a Muslim and he is Yoruba, His VP will be christian, cus Muslim Muslim ticket almost impossible.
Here's the twist....wait for it
We northerners don't believe tinubu is even a Muslim, cus his wife and everything we just don't. He is also corrupt and old sick man something we don't want.
Yep! yep you guess it right.
We go Atiku Incase tinubu miraculously wins the primary, ask us why..
Atiku is also a Muslim, bonus he is from the North, more bonus he is Hausa Fulani.
At least if he steals, he will invest in the north.
There's no way in hell tinubu wining this primary. you can take it to your debtor you must be very lively and funny person in real life though I know you joke most of the times but can you stop the trolling of Igbos and IPOB please |

I arrived the embassy before 6:30 and waited till we were beckoned by the security for the business of the day. Started with security/documents check and thereafter CGI. At the CGI point the lady sent me back to retake my passport, touts use me shine.
Village people 1 - 0 Me
Got inside and started waiting turns to be interviewed, I noticed there were three windows today conducting interviews; 8 (balded male vo), 9 (female vo) and 10 (younger female vo).
There were alot of white paper issuance I saw today. Green paper too, but minimal.
There was no Korean in sight today so no need to dodge.
Village people 1 - 1 Me
It got to my turn and I went to young lady in window 10 for my interview. Greeted her and gave her my i20 and passport. She started their usual typing and then the following ensued:
Q1 How long have I worked in my current job
A. 1 year and 8 months
Q2 How long have I worked in my previous job
A. 2 years and 1 month
Q3 Do I have a study leave
A. Not yet. This is pending getting my visa approval
Q4 What is my post study plan
A. I intend to return to my current place of work, in a mid level management position. My organization is undergoing a transition phase and this is expected to last 3-5 years during which our operations will expand beyond the western region to a nationwide coverage. This will open up many positions and with my experience and degree, I will be positioned to fill one of these new positions.
Then the magic words came with the white paper.
Village people 1 - 2 Me (Full time score)
No documents were asked asides passport and i-20. Maintained eye contact all through. Had zero tension, abi anxiety.
*Three weeks ago (yes, three weeks ago) I did not have my i-20, interview date or made any payment for my Visa. applied for EA in Lagos and they bounced me before I switched to Abuja and got a close regular date. I didn't even know my funding will be full till I saw my i-20. And I was expected to be in school before July 5 for start of my summer classes. My DSO was doubtful of my chances cos the timing was too close.
Fast forward to today, I'm checking flights to Midtown St Louis and warming breakfast to serve my employer. Everything happened so fast and I'm yet to process all of these. GOD IS REAL.
Thank you to everyone who responded to questions, contributed and supported others here. Y'all the real MVPs.
It really took a village to make this happen wow I am happy for you are you on scholarship or you would be paying your school fees yourself?? |

Kibbs: I'm 22, currently in my 3rd year (first semester) of a 5year course - Elect Elect. The problem is it's a course I have no passion or likeness for.
A lot of days, since 20lvl to be exact, I'm in class and I'm like "What am I doing here?". I see how my coursemates faces light up when something new is being taught or when practicals are going on but it's the exact opposite for me. I'm unattentive in 80% of the classes and no matter how hard I try, I'm never as focused during practicals like the rest cus I just don't have any interest in going on.
The two solutions I'm considering : The first is to change courses, although that will set me back a year which means I'll be 25 by the time I'm done, 26 if NYSC is calculated. I already lost 4yrs waiting for admission so the thought of being setback another year makes me cringe esp when I'll be just a few years from 30 when I'm eventually done. That is if the possibility of yet another ASUU strike isn't considered o. Time is precious.
The second is just dropping out and maybe going to one of the recognised IT institutions to study an industry course cus I still have interest in IT related stuff. Infact, it was once a discussion during the days I was still home struggling to get into school so I'm sure I'll be backed. If I were to change courses sef in school, it would've been computer science. Another advantage of this for me is I'll be in Lagos permanently where I'll have opportunities to do several other things I want to do by the side as opposed to being in Ogbomosho (which is dead) where my school is. I never wanted to leave lag in the first place bit unilag had other ideas.
Well that's it.
Inputs welcome.
Would appreciate if this was moved to fp. you can also consider switching course to an IT related course like statistics or math if switching to computer science is impossible |

Family › Re: My Wife Of Less Than Two Years Says It's Over Between Us by Ajibade123(m): 10:16pm On May 26, 2022 |
InsideLife2022: I have been an active member on this forum for the past eight years. I just created this account to bring this issue to limelight. Good evening gentlemen and ladies. I got married in late 2020. God being merciful, we are blessed with a baby of 5 months. My wife has been giving me attitudes of recent. I have tried to find out what the problem has been, she is not saying anything tangible. I am being confused and depressed. I have been begging her to come back to join me after delivery. She keeps traumazing me emotionally. She just told me our marriage is over. She couldn't say what the problem is.
She has not been taking care of the baby. She was medically advised to stop breastfeeding our baby permanently. Is not that she breastfeeds our baby. My mother in-law and sisters in-law have been complaining about her lack of motherly treats.
They told me she doesn't even know how to take care of the baby. They cannot allow my child to be in her custody because she can't take care of the baby as a mother. She has fought her mother for asking her to leave her house to join her husband. Every member of her family has been asking her what the problem is. She keeps telling them to come and marry me that it's over between us.
I haven't told any of my family members or my friends of what is going on in my marriage. I am a kind of person that do not like involving a third party in my new marriage of lest than two years.
Her family has never supported her actions. Her mom and her siblings have been asking me to come take my wife and baby. But, my wife is not ready to join me. It has been a serious issues in her family house each time they push her to go meet her husband.
Her family has ask me to come with some soldiers or the police to come carry my baby and leave her since she claims she is no longer interested in any marriage. I have been trying my best to make sure my wife never lacked anything during her pregnancy and even after delivery.
My in-laws have been very supportive and good to me. I know they have never and will not support her for her wrong actions and behaviors. My challenge is, my baby is just 5 months and I don't want to take the baby to my parents because of the questions people around will be asking. I don't want to be seen as someone who is separated from his wife. I hate divorce with passion. My wife does not have any concrete reason why she decides to stay off our marriage.
Her family is fully in support of my next actions of going to take my baby. Now, the question is this; is it advisable to keep the baby with me while I employ a nanny to raise the baby with me?
Please and please I need mature and sensible advise.

Klass99: Your post had me smiling from ear to ear. I like your outlook on life but what do you mean by public commitment?
I needed that self awareness and to discover myself before getting married. Marrying @ 22 just didn't feel right to me, thankfully I had (and still have) enlightened parents who didn't push or force the issue of marriage on any of their kids.
Now that I'm older, more self aware and I think independently (I've always had a mind of my own and was a non-conformist as far back as secondary school & university anyway ) I know that;
1. I want to love and be loved.
2. I'm not crazy about having kids of my own. The thought of it exhausts me, more than it excites me.
3. I want a man who understands that even though we may be married, we do not lose ourselves or individuality. On point 3, the lyrics from one of Neyo's says songs comes to mind - I'm a movement by myself but we are a force when we are together.
4. I want companionship, good and authentic companionship with lots of quality time with my man, like just cuddling him in front of the TV, while we watch our favourite programs and me running my hands over his bare chest, occasionally massaging his neck and shoulders. I don't think you love love more than me o especially when the feeling is mutual.
5. I want a married life experience where he'll be my baby and I'll be his. We will be two adults just taking care of each other and doing the good we can in our community and to the people in our lives and space (whether we know them personally or not)
Younger me may have gotten married simply because;
1. My suitor was good looking, he wanted it and was mounting the pressure like kilode?
2. The so called society expected it of me as a woman and......
3. Who knows I may have been one of your case studies today if not divorced sef
Older me has the presence of mind to make well thought out decisions on the basis of my self awareness. Decisions that help rather than hurt me, in the short or long run.
I'm good. I hope you are too. wow are you married or in a serious relationship now?? |
