InansBobo:"Giants from all sphere of life" ![]() Obviously we can see the positive influence of these "giants" on the society and the people. |
McBeee:You are extremely naive. Do you even understand the meaning of the word "revolution. It's not only about carrying guns or using force. Even what these young candidates are doing now is a revolution on its on. Where were you when Sowore was leading young Nigerians against military dictators in the streets of Nigeria in the 1990's. Why didn't you join him then. He has tried it all. It's time for political revolution. Not a single shot will be fired. |
McBeee:What kind of revolution are you talking about. To carry guns and burn houses?. There are some kind of revolution where a single shot will not be fired. It's the revolution of ideas. When something new will sweep away the old and the old ways of doing things. If you are talking about the Nnandi Kanu type of revolution, then it has no space for peace loving Nigerians. A guy who can't engage others and even perceived enemies can lead or win a true revolution. Engage people and take high road. |
Awol1:By the time the Sowore AAC political tsunami hit you all, it will look like a dream. How can you compare Olawepo to someone who has been in the political scene for more than 25 years fighting on the side of the masses. |
OkaNaUbe:Not supporting Buhari, but you should have show the price of oil in the international market under both regime. Let's be truthful. Sowore AAC is the only solution at this point. Not PDP or APC. |
Firefire:While it's obvious this empty head minister is lieng, your point that FDI being in the million $ range is incorrect. So, how much is the $5,513.55 million you put up there? That's $5.51 Billion. |
![]() Really, 36 years old. Nija people no go kill person o..with lie. Some lye get level. This one na one in a class of its own. |
Nigerians are generally a hopeless lot. Here you see people lamenting and wanting a nation where things work but when it come to making decisions or doing things that matter most to nation building, the same set of people would either make decision based on sentiments, ethnicity, and some useless reasons that turn logic on its head. |
This Moghalu that is not honourable. After signing agreement on PACT, he failed to honour it. Omoyele Sowore is the only serious contender among the new parties. |
biometrics:Your first question about using driver as beneficiary is not relevant. Though it's something that shouldn't have been done since it's a one time payment. More so, beneficiary in this case does not mean family member but simply beneficiary of the fund you want to transfer. Your second question is very valid but you ought to have rephrased it. In this case, you are assuming that the rider himself could be trying to move fund out of another person account illegally by using the driver account as a "courier"; and he is simply trying to force the driver to return the fund to him. Maybe the Op should post copy of his messages to the driver. You never know. Why did he wait this long? Are there reasons why he could not act fast enough on this, if the N1 million is truly his money. Most times I like thinking straight and wouldn't want to believe someone is a suspect or can't be trusted. But one always need to when it come to stories like this. If the Op is truly lying, then he could get into trouble too since tracking the driver would eventually lead to him. |
Many Nigerians are generally illogical. Most of you are blaming Uber for a transaction that did not occur within the time frame of the ride and the contract of Uber and the rider/passenger. First, the ride was completed and the rider paid the Uber driver. It's at that point Uber contract with the rider ended, except if the error the rider made was made as part of the transaction of the ride. That's when Uber are obliged to act on it. If Uber does anything to assist, it's only a courtesy. The best they can do is to release the driver information to security agencies probably after presenting a court order. We need to all understand how things work in a normal world. I am wondering how Uber transactions work in Nigeria to the point that you have to be the one transferring money directly to the driver rather than transferring money to Uber, and Uber pays the driver. I mean, don't most Nigerians use debit cards. Payment for rides should be coming from there. But I know that ordinary thing in a normal world would turn out to be complicated in Nigeria. So, if rider transfer ride cost directly to driver, then how does Uber get paid it's commission? Just wondering. |
TonyeBarcanista:I am a patriotic Nigerian. Don't let us fool.ourselves. Nigeria has never been a great country. Yes, at some point in the past, the country was on the early path to greatness. We all know what happened. |
Buhari won't do nothing. No be the same person that was praising Ganduje in spite of him collecting bribe in broad day light. |
ConciousRapper:Omoyele Sowore AAC is the solution to your helplessness. I felt sad reading your story. Ordinary electricity. Not even Atiku can do a thing. He was there for 8 years with Obasanjo. In fact he led the privatization of government assets including NEPA. What has that benefit Nigerians. Simply vote right. It's that simple. |
Where is the dark glowing skin? On holiday? |
Everfrank:So Sahara Reporters now belong to PDP. Another time they publish story that does not favour PDP, you will say they belong to APC. |
The fact that Omoyele Sowore is not currently involved with Sahara Reporters because of his presidential aspiration, and the media organization still functioning successfully in his absence says a lot about his ability, most especially his managerial skills and his organizational skills. How many Nigerian businessmen would leave their businesses for a while and the business still function successfully? Omoyele Sowore is the guy I will be voting for. I believe in Nigeria and the future. No more old school politician's that can't reason from point A to B. |
educhigo:Wetin this one day talk?. Your "zoo" is waiting for you the day Chinese people get tired of your face. Dey fool yourself. |
It is experience like this that make houseboys, housemaids, security guards or other domestic workers turn up one day with criminals to rob their boss or ex-boss. The average Nigerian elite is wicked. |
Hard to imagine a country that went through apartheid would openly welcome this. I do not know if brains of Africans are frozen spiritually. What nation does this? |
Remembering evil ancestors that bore evil children. ![]() |
Shelumiel:Even though they are the main source of foreign exchange up to about $20 billion every year into Nigeria, aside oil and gas. |
Mr Buhari, show me any individual on the face of this earth that is not afraid of a jail time.Even, Evans, one of Nigeria's most heartless criminals shed tears when he was arrested realizing that he would not escape a time in jail. Buhari, you are the incompetent one who dies not know how to strengthen the judiciary. It's an admission that your government has failed in fighting against corruption. You don't deserve to lead Nigeria. You are a disgrace. A true leader would never call his own people out in front of the rest of the world. Have you ever called out the foreign banks or foreigners involved in corruption in Nigeria? |
Just few days ago a friend in the USA shared a similar story of his experience with me. He was down at a point and asked a younger Nigerian guy he knew for some change. Initially, nothing was forthcoming until after he called the guy again, and he retorted that he had instructed a certain chap to transfer some fund into his bank account, and that he should not worry he would soon receive the fund. On same day, he was dumbfounded after $35,000 was transferred into his bank account. My guy quickly used part of the fund for an immediate need, and later called the guy to thank him with a lot of accolades. Immediately the guy said in Yoruba "Egbon e'fara bale o", meaning "big brother take it easy", it's only $4k that is yours o. But my guy has already spent more than that, and the guy simply told him that if he doesn't want to be visited by bad boys he should refund the amount he spent above the $4k, and the fund isn"t his alone. I never got to hear how he didn't get into trouble with cops here because he had to get off the phone. Normally, any transaction above $10k into a bank account is usually tracked by state security officials. People be careful o. Awoof dey kill o. |
Let's do the maths: N2.3 trillion divided by 1.5 million workers N2.3 trillion/1.5 workers= N1,533,333 per worker per annum Earning/Worker on a monthly basis: N1,533,333 divided 12 N1,533,333/12 = N127,777 But minimum wage is much less than this. This number is even higher than monthly salary proposed by Sowore. We have bandits in govt, how does their minimum turn to N127k? Educate me please. |
There are more harlots in northern Nigerian than anywhere else. Just that some use religion to camouflage their atrocities. And the gay capital of Nigeria may likely be there as well. While they use religion to oppress their people, their elites commit crime and atrocities and nothing happen to them. Until the hands of Gandu-$$$$ is cut off, northerners like El-Rufai are a bunch hypocrites holding their poor masses in the jugular. Evil elitists with no sense of shame. |
naijacartoon:If you were born with silver spoon in your mouth and have never spend a day on the street, how would you understand life on the street.Life on the street is far from what you see on TV or from a moving vehicle. |
dizzle101:What generation are you? If you don't know the meaning of "Guguru Defence" or never heard it used before. It's nickname for civil defence officials back in the days when there was some level of sanity in the society. They used to show up in communities or on streets then when things go wrong even before policemen show up. |
Funniest part is "this Yoruba woman" isn't Yoruba at all. I am suing Nigerian police for defamation of character on behalf of my mother |
I watched the video. I think Davido seems to be enjoying the attention. He is also part of the problem because he stand aside and is doing nothing concrete about it but only sing about bling-bling, cars, and women. Before it got to this stage, in the late 70s Fela said music is not for entertainment in Africa as in the West simply because the events in his immediate environment should be a motivation to using music to sing against unjust situations. No one is asking him or other musicians to be Fela but their music should reflect messages that bring about a change. I can always remember Idris Abdulkareem "Nigeria jaga jaga" even though I don't belong to his generation or was not living in Nigeria when he sang it. The only thing I can effortlessly remember of Davido is "Omo Baba Olowo". Which make sense? |
