Gaddafithe2nd:They need us more than we need them. And we do not need them for self validation. |
My thought is that Africa has not even start. We have not even scratch the surface of the depth of knowledge that are hidden in our people. If we can just handle the useless politics that people waste so much time and energy on, and focus on real development. Our mind is still the last frontier of human knowledge. |
Imagine the man they ask to sign the Peace Corps of Nigeria bill to create job for youth and refuse to sign. This old generation leaders deserve death by hanging.[/quote No, no. Let's be reasonable. The Peace Corps is duplication of duties of already existing forces. The Civil.Defence is already in existence. What value will Peace Corps add. Even existing ones are badly managed. Creating Peace Corps is not same as creating legitimate job opportunities for the yoiths. |
richiearmany14:It is because you know nothing about him except what you read in the news. If he truly publish false information, you should ask yourself the most legitimate question. Has anyone or group filed and won a defamation court suit against Sowore or Sahara Reporters, both in Nigeria or US courts? Answer that simple question. Here is young Sowore helping to lead the fight against June 12 annulment in the 90s as Unilag SU president.
|
richiearmany14:Still? Really.. are you sane? Atiku of all people. Mr corruption personified. For someone who worked before with Nigeria Customs, it's not surprising he has corruption written all over him. Man, you need help. Atiku is just same thing as the other politicians. Nigeria need a total breakaway from the past. |
AkpaMgbor:The Northern elites deliberately denied their people education for a reason. So that they can be easily swayed en mass. They need them to win power at the center during elections. Everything is for a purpose. |
namio10: |
GavelSlam:Young man. Money does not fall from heaven. Unemployment stipend come from a "pot" where all who are employed or formerly employed has contributed into. So, if you become unemployed and you show evidence of looking to get gainful employment again, you have a right to get that stipend. Technically, you are being paid back part of what you contributed. It's never for those who haven't been employed before and there is a limit. You can't collect it forever. You need to understand Nigerian elites. They do not want good for the poor masses. They need people to always shout "Oga" sir to them, even some of your rich relatives want that as well. So, it is workable and practicable. The money will coming from a contribution. It is called social insurance or unemployment insurance contribution. I have benefited from such before in another country. |
So, Nigerian youths. The choice is yours. The power is in your hands. Will you use it wisely or do the same as our parents. Will you take a chance on something radically new but with assured consistency or go the same way, doing things same way expecting different results. I will take a chance on Omoyele Sowore. He has been in battle to fight the cause of the common man since his days as UNILAG student union president. Here in the image below is young Omoyele Sowore beside MKO Abiola during the fight against the military in the "June-12" saga. Has he changed? No. That is consistency. Forget ethnicity, sentiments or stupid myopic reasoning. Lets break away from the past. Just recently the "dishonourable" minister of communication (Mr Shittu) said Mr Sowore is inconsequential during a radio programme debate. That mean over 60% Nigerians who are youths are likewise inconsequential. Same way of reasoning as Buhari and the elites. Evil people. It's your time. Nigerian Youths. Don't let this pass by.
|
Pangea:My "brother", don't use the word "even". See the young guy in this picture here beside MKO Abiola during June 12 struggle. It is Omoyele Sowore. That is about 25-yrs ago as student union president in UNILAG, when he was almost killed through poisoned injection by authorities. I was an undergraduate student in Ibadan then. That is consistency.

BenzEne1:That's self-defeat there. Only a fraction of the youths want quick money if you compare the population of those clamouring to make a living the right way through hard work to those involved in illegal dubious way of making money. We should learn not to generalise. Yes, there is a general moral problem which was also brought on the youths by, most especially, the same political elites. For example, all youths born post-1985 know nothing about the once promising future of Nigeria and all they know is corruption and dubious ways of making money. Because that is what the political elites and military brought upon them. For example, the Almighty JAMB was first leaked in the early 1990s. Fraudsters were all out too starting from late 1980s and by mid-90s, right on my street on Lagos Island, someone who was poor a before could be seen gallivanting in the most expensive car and attire the next day. I remember a guy who was also a military guy begging to use our family landline telephone for the fraud purposes. So, I will blame some youths but most of the blame goes to the "thieving" political elites. They are the most evil people on the face of the Earth. |
Coming from a Buharist. This is the reason why the youths must go out there in droves to collect their PVC and vote this man out. Enough. Youth's that cannot get admission to limited spots in Universities. How about the ones with degrees with no jobs. I am done with you man. You are a let down. I have supported you right from age 12 when you were there in 1983/85. Obviously Idiagbon was the man running the show. Now Nigerian Youths, go out there and vote for a much younger candidate ready to disrupt the polity. This shows same cocky attitude of the Nigerian elites to the populace as pointed out by candidate Omoyele Sowore during a radio show with "dishonourable" minister of communication who referred to him as been inconsequential because he is a youth and not a money-bag. |
tetula123:Will you just keep your mouth shut. Yes, she should have handover the phone without struggling with the bastards. But what right do you have to abuse her. As if you have a better sense of judgement. We don't have to argue that. It's apparent. |
SKhanmi:Majority of voters are youths, who by their nature and phase in life are largely dreamers. Serious dreamers are doers and they make things happen. The Minister has create the impression that it is worthless being a dreamer in Nigeria. Albeit a serious one. Every thing and products we use today were developed by "dreamers". Point is the Minister is someone that lack the capacity to "dream" or said in a different way, to imagine solutions to problems. Many of these politicians lack that capacity. In fact many Nigerians do because the situation there has "killed" that part of their brain. Youths need to take their destiny in their own hands, task risk worth taking for their future. Nigeria need a Dreamer and Doer at this point. One who can imagine the future the youths crave and take the country there. |
chinawapz:I shared your phone number wuth a friend. Look out for a message from a non-local number. Don't dissapoint. |
Realdeals:Is it not the one with the main actress is "Yinka (?), Barbara Soky. |
SIRmanjar:Your Father!!!! |
bjayx:Am sorry for all you folks. The government is making effort to sensitive the citizens on the need to support a game changing agro program. One that will free up more funds to invest in other parts of the economy. And you all are sounding as if you are foreigners in your own land. Nigerians could be pathetic. They'll rather be slaves than do things that make them stand on their feet. The White people will say an average Black man cannot delay gratification in order to ensure a bigger future benefit. Here is one case. |
"No one comes to the Father except through me" So, who is the Father? And who is the "me". Human being are too canal in their thinking. God understand our foolishness and shallowness. So, many people are at liberty to believe whatever they want. To me God is God, and Jesus is Jesus. But Jesus is a part of God. |
waveybrah:Actually, you are right to an extent. I think.God is using Tinubu now to fight even worse enemies. When God is done with him he will cast him to where he belong to, the gutters of history that his descendants will be forced to change their family names to what it truly is. I can't believe it's the same person people sat down to celebrate in a yearly coloquim. He surely has multiple personalties. |
A startup company I know of will soon be breaking the monopoly of Lagos State government on land search. Everyone don't have to run to Alausa to do land search and you can save yourselves from fraudulent civil servants that cause you to loose your life saving and land. Thanks to technology. |
macaphan007:You are so, so right. And sitting atop the ring is Tinubu. I can't believe these things are happening in Lagos. Tinubu strategy is to share the cookies with few true Lagosians by giving specific government positions to their sons and daughters to keep them quiet. These are the only people that can give him problem but he has strategically silenced them. I was born and bred in Lagos and also an indigene. I wonder a times if this is the same Lagos I kmew. |
NwaAmaikpe:You are the one that need to have your head examined. |
QuitNotice:Please which version of the bible are you using? Because the account in yours seems different. |
Pinkyposh:You do not need to see Jesus to believe what colour he could be. There is true history, and thankfully science to approve or disprove lies we've been brainwashed with. And many of the lies are falling. Including the presume colour of His skin. |
englishmart:Then, why are the Lemba people who are black living in present day Zimbabwe confirmed by DNA analysis to carry a priestly DNA that only male direct descendants of the house of Aaron (brother of Moses) carry. In fact they have more of the so called Cohen DNA than most of the males in present day Israel. Use Google, people. |
What do you expect. It is a Roman Catholic church; who were the ones that white-washed the true image of Jesus, a coloured man. I am not Catholic but follow my spouse occasionally to a Catholic church in the US. There is always something I couldn't get my eyes off each time I was in the church. The bible used which the priest raise up occasionally has an image of a dark-skin head with a face which I presume is that of Jesus. But the walls is adorned with whitewashed image of the Passover and similar images. It's known in history that it was Roman Emperor, Constantine, that initiated the whitewash. |
olmoRoc:Abi, wetin den collect that huge allowance for. After millions of naira every month, they can't hire ordinary private guards. These people! They have no shame. |
Go hire private security /protection experts that are authorized to perform this task. Leave the police for the masses. Very few Nigerian elites and office holders (e.g. Dangote, Nafdac DG, etc) add value to the lives of the populace. Rather than add, they continue to "rob" the masses. This is business opportunity for private security companies. |
As usual waste management contract offered to a company that has no experience or knowledge on how to perform the task. Just as in many things done in Lagos. That's why serious investors don't deal with the folks in government. They are too dubious. |
miracool946:Just like some folks making comments here. It seem your mind process information in a different way. Your fuel gauge indicates your tank is not empty, then how can you immediately accept that your fuel tank is empty. The solution was that the "mad man" was detached from the young man circumstances and the trips he has been making to the mechanics. His solution is simple and usually the first thing you think of. But not when your fuel gauge shows otherwise. You all need to learn how to process information. Too shallow way to reason. |
You were saved by an "Angel". This is very symbolic, most especially in a place like Nigeria where people are written off easily. The second act of him offering you a "funnel" is like suggesting "aside from advising you to lead you in the right path, I will offer you my hand when you are down and helpless". This kind of things is what make Nigeria an interesting place. Extremely dramatic. |
