ElsonMorali:
There was a country is a highly biased account of what went down during the Biafran war.

It was written by an Igbo man who from all indications and utterances showed a great tribal bias against Nigeria in general and Yorubas in particular.

Why don't you get the book written by General Alabi Isama.

He was at the forefront of the war and had hundreds of war pictures which he took himself in his book.

His book is titled "The Tragedy of Victory".

Yes, he is Yoruba, but I can assure you his book addressed all the ills of the war.

His disdain for general Olusegun Obasanjo is very visible in that book.

If you want an unbiased version of the war, go read it. I have read it more than a dozen times getting new insights each time.
The book is overpriced just like any other material thing in Nigeria. I checked Amazon and the price is $278.99. How can someone who honestly desire people especially youths to get firsthand account of the war set a price that high. He simply want to cash in but that's outrageous.

You are probably right. I am really cautious of Buhari and his cabal. I used to be a Buharist until the middle-belt killings. Why make this pronouncement now, just some months to the election and when his popularity is dwindling. Surely to get Southwest votes. Once again our people are falling for it. People get carried away far too easily.

Exactly the same thing a friend told me. Like the stupid old communication minister. "Go and stand for election as councillor or local government chairman". I believe you are of old school mentality and people of little mind like you will resolve all the issues facing the country. If that simple arithmetic up there is hard for you to comprehend, it shows most of you don't have a clue about the implications of your inability to vote wisely. Tell me, how much have your life improved in last 3 years. Ready to throw another 4 years down the drain.

Another ethnic sentiment. Who is talking about the West votes. You easily assume he is just Yoruba, but in reality he is more Ijaw. But who care. Maybe minions like you.

What you call enlightenment is foolishness. Another four years multiplied by 180 millions getting ready to be wasted again. Goodluck to you all.

Watch that video where the sardauna of sokoto was asked why other tribes are obsessed over Igbos. the summary of his reply to the journalist is "the Igbo are industrious". and not whatever rubbish you said up there. All tribes in Nigeria make mockery of other tribes that isn't theirs.

it's because of igbo ingenuity that made your lots obsessed over the Igbo. or will anybody be angry when someone he is better than makes fun of him? you only get angry when the person making fun of you is better than you. Igbos never get angry when they are made mockery of by others. It's that obsession over the Igbo that made your lots to single them out for extermination. because you have what the Igbos don't have: violence. but God is a living God. have a nice day.
Umm! Liar. Saudauna point was that Igbo have a tendency to want to dominate others. He is right to an extent. But i do not support his point of view of giving job opportunities to foreigners instead of other Nigerians that are not from the north. My mum used to have a shop in a major market in Lagos. If you see the tactics the Igbo traders used to control sales there, not everyone can compete at that level. My mother used to complain but I used to jokingly tell her it's all about business competition.

How did he provide them with alternative? Is there any vacant space in Ojota that the Governor gave them? Fear God in Ur sentimental rantings.

Ojota is a choked up area, these transporters have spent fortunes in establishing their operational base along ikorodu road and Jibowu axis.

The right thing for the governor to do is map out an area at d outskirt of the city for these transporters to build their base if he doesn't't want them in d city.

The Ojota excuse is lame as that area is d most choked up area in Lagos with heavy traffic and no space for luxurious bus operators
Please see this video and maybe it will educate you. It's still a good way to start and a space was purposely created for them. But I still believe the government can do better.

To be sincere, the luxurious buses are better off in Jibowu than Ojota
No. That's no more a good spot for that kind of business. In term of interconnectivity Ojota is better option because passengers can quickly connect buses going anywhere in Lagos.I really don't think these operators are thinking about the convenience of the people. But I still believe Ojota should not be the only option, and government need to provide them with incentives to cover loss of investment in their previous location.

the govt should compensate them adequately because most times , the govt keeps relocating them forgetting that it was their presence that attracted much development to that area.
even if they agree to move to a less developed place, just watch how their presence will bring about development to their new place, after which in ten years time another government will ask them to relocate again to another less developed place and the circle continues

the proper thing to do is to regulate them properly in a way that they will not cause hold up
Good point. That's why this society hardly progress. People in government only make short-term decisions that usually lead to failures in the near future.

huh The state government even provided them with an alternative yet they are still complaining. Sho! If they insist on not relocating to Ojota, they should consider Onitsha. Either way they are fighting a losing battle. Nobody or group can stop the itesiwaju of Eko.
It may appear that Ambode have the interest of the state at heart but Lagos need multiple of such parks at different locations that are easily accessible to people that live in different parts of the State. And spaces in this parks can be leased out to private luxurious bus operators. There is no point for someone living in VI or Lekki to drive all the way to Ojota in order to take a bus heading outside Lagos. The government is supposed to make decisions that make life easy for people and businesses. You need to know how people in government operate. There are other political private interests they are serving, not the general interest and convenience of the people. I am a born and bred native Lagosian.

Nonetheless, the Jibowu location is not a good spot for luxurious bus park, so these businesses still need a good alternative. And when you tell businesses to move to a new location, who cover the cost of their investment in physical structure at the previous or new location. You need to provide them with incentives. They are providing an important service to Lagos economy. Our local politicians are close-minded.

It saddens me to see people mainly who are IPOB supporters, some igbos and some Christians say terrible and sickening things about Palestine. IPOB and IGBOS claimed to be marginalized and are treated badly and yet they still come to social media to lambast the people of Palestine. Truth be told their issues is very more alike and the same things they claim they are a victim of by the NIGERIAN governmant is the same thing the Palestinians face with Israeli government.
Furthermore I saw threads yesterday about the killings of protesters and I saw a lot of sad a hateful comments coming from the people I listed above.
If there's indeed Justice in this world the Israeli government will be charged and prosecuted by the ICJ.
Some airheads support Israel because they feel they are more similar to them that the Palestinian Muslims, is that life?
The only way the world can take IPOB and IGBOS who claim to be a victim of the Nigerian government is when they themselves stand up to what's just and what's what!

What is life?
What is this world?
How long will we be here?
What's next?
What's what?
Who is a Muslim?
Who is a Christian?
Who is igbo?
Who is Yoruba?
Who is Hausa/Fulani?
At end of the day we only find out we are humans and what make us truly humans is something called human feelings for one another.
Have a nice day!
Good points. Thought the same. God has made a point of what will become of people who are hypocrites. Funny part is the people they are supporting are simply living a lie. It is said that "they left Black and came back to the holy land as White". Meanwhile the true Hebrews are scattered all over the world, most especially Africa. Search the internet for the story of the Lemba people in southern Africa. In fact their ancient priestly Cohen DNA is more than most that reside in present day Israel.

I love the way you ended it. It is not a spiritual attack, it is a religious attack.

Nigerians spend all their time fasting and praying and forget to get creative, then they run around to find fast money in order to buy imported food, cream, phone and wrist-watches so they dont have to waste time being creative when they should be worshipping God. Now churches run 5 services on Sundays, and a midweek service on wednesdays, not forgetting tarry nights and vigils.

The mohammedans are not left out, they pray a fuccking 5 times a day, and are constantly checking their time to make sure they dont miss a date with Allahu, what remains of their time is spent separating quarrels between their 4 wives, the rest is spent reminding the kids of the need to go to the Alfas and Imams for tutelages.

So, what time do we have to plant tomatoes or engineer apples that can grow on our climate.

We are not poor because we are religious, we are poor as a country because we have found an excuse in God.

Yet money does not grow on trees. Dangote should have known better. He has been making serious business mistakes of late, one of which is building $18B Refinery when electric cars and solar panels are the future. I really question the true source of his wealth. How are his projects financed ? From which sources ? He pays back loans at the speed of light, well, almost. Just to create impression of 'source' ? It could be these politicians just financing him till his retirement and eventual demise. It could just be a ponzi that takes money from early mules and paying the new politicians. I envy the man, I truly do, but if I have access to such money, then I should be able to buy up Nigeria and put everyone on a universal basic income from what I can do with that money.

As it is with the tomato factories, so will it be with the refineries in the next 20 yrs. This is the new world order.
You totally got the part of your write-up on Dangote Refinery wrong. Even if electric cars are coming on board soon, that soon is different for different parts of the world. It could a century for less developed countries. By then, he already recouped his investment. And no matter what, petroleum will still be around for a long long time. And so would be gasoline and diesel based vehicles.
