I don't have issues with you and if you have one with my, please sway. I'm not here to exchange words with faceless people. I as a human, i am entitled to my own opinion and responsible for what i say. Whatever you believe in should stick with you and let me believe whatever i believe in. Don't force your religion down my throat. I might decide to believe in whatever thing i choose and its none of your business. So my dear, learn to stay outta people's business.
It's great to see you proclaiming your entitlement to personal opinions, while at the same time castigating me for my personal opinions. How ironic.

It would be nice to keep your business in your closet and not on a public forum if you want it kept only to yourself. Once you go public, you must accept the open deluge of ideas, it's the bedrock of social interactions.

when will people like you stop quoting someone without making insults as your replies ?
It will happen when people stop insulting the intelligence of others and stop denigrating people's beliefs by statements that have no basis in rationality.

You abuse and denigrate my belief as a Christian when you say "The devil you know is better than an angel you don't see", and at the same time call on God. Is God and His angels seen? Does it not then begat belief how you can profess to worship Him and then say you prefer the devil to His angels.

I still hold him in my heart because, the devil you know is better than the angel you've not seen. That should answer your question. Like I said, I'm willing to give buhari a chance, I just need to be convinced the more. I believe some other people out there are like me having such thoughts.
In that case, i believe you have no religion since you have not seen the Holy Ghost, neither have you seen Jesus Christ. I believe it is impossible for you to see Prophet Muhammed as well.

If you are however a Christian, you have clearly been wasting your time going to church and all the sermons of your Pastors/Rev. Fathers has been useless for you to believe more in the devil than an angel. SMH
BusinessRe: Nigerians Living Abroad Have To Travel Back Home To Get BVN In Banks?? by Akainzo(m): 4:26pm On Feb 20, 2015
switch47:
How would Bank customers Living outside Nigeria Enrol and get the Bank Verification number as mandated by the CETRAL BANK OF NIGERIA without which no one can transact business as a customer in any BANK in Nigeria from 25th of June 2015?
Answer: Bank customers living outside Nigeria would have to come back to the country to
enroll.

i think this is wrong, why should one have to travel all the way from United Kingdom, United state and other countries just to come and obtain BVN in Nigeria, is there no way the CBN can make it possible for Nigerians abroad to do this without having to travel all the way down bearing in mind that there is a short period of time before the DEADLINE??
http://www.akinov..com/2015/02/bank-verification-number-for-nigerians.html

As you may already be aware, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in conjunction with the Bankers Committee has launched the Biometric Identification Project to provide a single biometric database for all banks’ customers nationwide. Part of the requirements within this initiative is that customers enroll with their banks to get their unique Bank Verification Numbers (BVN), without which customers will not be able to transact in any bank after the deadline JUNE 25 2015.

For more on the BANK VERIFICATION NUMBER Check
http://www.akinov.com/2015/02/all-you-need-to-know-about-bank.html
Why do Nigerians living outside the country always feel laws on Nigeria should be changed for them? The law is made to be complied with and if you want a BVN, please make yourself available in any of the Nigerian banks in Nigeria. The CBN office is not in UK or US.

By the way, I haven't seen LLoyds Bank or BoA providing means for us in Nigeria to do a verification mandated by UK or US laws. Please, let us respect our country.
PoliticsRe: Why My Aide Tore His PDP Membership Card — Governor Dankwambo (photo) by Akainzo(m): 4:13pm On Feb 20, 2015
argon500:
Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State has said the reason his aide, Abdullahi Mohammed, tore his Peoples Democratic Party membership card was because he turned down Mr. Mohammed’s request of N150 million.

Speaking through his media aide, Junaidu Abubakar, on Friday, Mr. Dankwambo said Mr. Mohammed had approached him with an “outrageous request of N150m to solve a mortgage problem which was not granted”.
Mr. Abubakar said the governor had come to the rescue of Mr. Mohammed on several occasions, but that the request for N150 million would simply not be granted because the governor explained that N150 million can do a lot to the lives of the three million people in the state.
He said it would be wrong to give just one person N150 million in a state grappling with challenges.

The governor’s spokesperson added that Mr. Dankwambo would never join issues with any of his aides, but that Mr. Mohammed decided to lie over his decision, saying he did it for the masses.

Source: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/177210-why-my-aide-tore-his-pdp-membership-card-governor-dankwambo.html
At the BOLD parts, is the Governor insinuating that by his own conduct as a Governor, a personal AIDE to him believed that he could ask for N150 Million and get it?

Hmmm, I wonder how much other people closer to the Governor had gotten approval for.

According to Transparency International data from 1979 till date, Both General Buhari and Former President Olusegun Obasanjo's tenure were more corrupt than President Goodluck Jonathan;s tenure.

The data also showed that GEJ period has the best corruption perception index since 1979. This is in complete contrast to what the opposition including Obasanjo, has been saying in the media about corruption during the last 5 years,

Shockingly, according to the TI data, Obasanjo's first tenure had the worst corruption during the 35 year period.

Here is a graph showing the corruption perception index for the 35 year period

The TI corruption perception index is a rating of countries from 1 to 100 showing their corruption scale. A rating of 1 is the worst and and rating of 100 means a country is completely free of corruption. 50 is the pass mark and any country below 50 is considered a corrupt country

its ok..... i wont resort to name calling with a kid. GEJ win or GMB win, it has absolutely no effect on me or my status. everytime i speak to you so called youths in Nigeria, you all amaze me in a very negative way.

let me educate you a little about centralized data bank.
Because you have a unique finger pint and face structure, dont you think it will be possible that you relocate from Enugu to abj and when you want to pick up your PVC, you give your name, and put in your finger print, that way Inec can print out a new one for you and automatically send a message to void your card in Enugu

Is this really that hard to phantom. but like i said earlier, GEJ or GMB win or lose, get hit by a bus or wins the lottery, it has no effect on me.

you kids need to enter the 21st century..... it has been running for almost 15 years now
You really have to stop all this your talk about 21st Century if you cannot apply that advancement to think things through.

A PVC is not just a data in a centralized database as elections are Location based. No one or country does what you are advocating as it will make nonsense of the voting system.

Number of registered voters in a particular location is used to determine the winner of that election. For example, if 3 Million Register in PH, 500 cannot decide to go and vote in Owerri as it would distort the data and affect the decision on who won and who lost.
Remember that outside of getting the highest number of votes cast nationwide, a President must also get 25% of votes cast in 2/3 of the states. This implies that the location of the votes matter.

This is why even though the database is centralized, the data is localised.

Bros, try to understand the issue at hand before commenting.

22 million registered voters out of 68 million have not collected their PVCs as at today and the bulk of them are from the South East and South South. Jega has 2 options, either he

1.) Postpones the election or

2.) Allows people vote with temporary voters' cards.

he can't disenfranchise 35% of registered voters and expect us to keep quiet.
Bros, I stay in PH, that people have not collected their PVC is not the fault of INEC. People just aren't collecting. When I collected mine last week, there were still 2 Ghana-Must-Go bags of PVCs waiting for their owners to show up.

What GEJ needs to do is declare a 2-day public holiday to allow people pick up their PVCs. The answer is not postponing the elections.

asadike:
no dear. I mean he should make sure we can produce enough for d country before putting d ban in place.
You will never be able to produce enough so long as cheap imports are allowed. To make it more economically attractive for local production, your economy must be protected and a ban or very high tax are the ways to ensure that. Once your then have enough local producers and prices have normalised, you will then allow imports to ensure quality is kept up.

A case in point is the Fruit Juice industry. Prior to the ban on importation of fruit juices into the country, only Fumman was producing fruit juice locally and it was struggling badly, even Coca Cola was importing ist Five Alive brand. However, once the ban was put in place, things changed almost overnight, many juice producers are now available .

Ceteris paribus on availability of local producers prior to ban will never happen, so a policy to push/facilitate it is what is required.

Here is the FULL TEXT of the Nigerian Army press statement.

Full text of Olaleye’s statement on the issue reads:

“I will begin with the Major General Muhammadu Buhari certificate controversy. Gentlemen, let me state clearly that the Nigerian Army holds the retired senior officer in very high esteem and respect and would not be a party to any controversy surrounding his eligibility for any political office. Suffice to state that Major General Buhari rose steadily to the enviable rank of Major General before becoming the Head of State of our dear country in December 1983.

“The media hype on retired Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s credentials as well as the numerous requests made by individuals and corporate bodies to the Nigerian Army on this issue have necessitated that we provide the facts as contained in the retired senior officer’s service record. Records available indicate that Major General M Buhari applied to join the military as a Form Six student of the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina on October 18, 1961.

“His application was duly endorsed by the Principal of the school, who also wrote a report on him and recommended him to be suitable for military commission. It is a practice in the NA that before candidates are shortlisted for commissioning into the officers’ cadre of the Service, the Selection Board verifies the original copies of credentials that are presented. However, there is no available record to show that this process was followed in the 1960s.

“Nevertheless, the entry made on the NA Form 199A at the point of documentation after commission as an officer indicated that the former head of state obtained the West African School Certificate (WASC) in 1961 with credits in relevant subjects: English Language, Geography, History, Health Science, Hausa and a pass in English Literature. However, neither the original copy, Certified True Copy (CTC) nor statement of result of Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s WASC result is in his personal file.

“I hope this explanation will put to rest the raging controversy surrounding the secondary school credentials of Major General Mohammed Buhari as it affects the Nigerian Army.”

**************************************************************

What in that statement implies that Buhari is not educated up to Secondary School Certificate level?

The truth however differs from what you are saying. For there to be an improvement in power supply across the nation, then we needed to have increased our power generation. However, the reverse is the case as power generation across the nation actually decreased!

It is widely reported in the papers and an excerpt is below. Note that for any improvement in power in your area, somewhere else has been denied that power since the total generation is not enough to go across the nation.

Power generation fell to 2,900MW in Q3 —Report

DECEMBER 31, 2014 BY OKECHUKWU NNODIM 19 COMMENTS
print

A power transmission facility.
A power transmission facility.
Average power generation declined to 2,900 megawatts per hour in the third quarter of 2014, down from 3,250MW/h recorded in the second quarter of the year.

Despite efforts to increase power generation to at least 5,000MW before the year ends, latest figures from the third quarter economic report of the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the country lost 350MW/h of generated electricity during the review period.

In August, the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, in a document put together by the Petroleum and Power ministries, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and the CBN, said the country’s gas-fired power plants would be maintained so that the 5,000MW target could be attained before the end of the year.

Alison-Madueke had said her ministry was focusing on a number of gas projects that would help to cushion the effect of supply shortage in the short term, adding that the projects were at various stages of maturation and would be concluded before the end of the year.

“These projects should unlock an additional of 370 million cubic feet per day of gas, assuring us of a total of 5,000MW (inclusive of hydro) within the four to five months to the year end,” she stated.

But the CBN, in its latest report, stated that the average electricity generation and consumption fell during the third quarter.

The bank said, “At 2,900MW/h, estimated average electricity generation fell by 10.8 per cent, compared with the level attained in the second quarter of 2014. The development was attributed to the shutdown of the Utorogu and Ugheli East gas plants for maintenance.

“At 2,867MW/h, the estimated average electricity consumption fell by 5.8 per cent, compared with the level attained in the second quarter of 2014. The decline in electricity consumption was attributed to the fall in power generation, transmission and distribution.”

The Minster of Power, Prof. Chinedu Nebo, stated that in November, Nigeria lost about 1,200MW of electricity as a result of the rupturing of pipelines that supplied gas needed to fire the power generation plants.

He stated that the country’s power generation fell from about 4,600MW, which was attained earlier in November, to about 3,600MW.

Nebo said, “Sometimes, people don’t understand what is happening. For instance, for about four weeks or so, until about two weeks ago, we were generating a minimum of 4,200MW. Sometimes, we generate 4,300MW and 4,400MW, plus spinning reserves of over 200MW.

“But all of a sudden, vandals hit both the eastern and the western axis, disrupted the flow of gas to the turbines and we had to shut down the power stations and lost over 1,200MW.”

1. You do not understand Hausa and thus couldn't have remembered "those words" as its meaning is lost of you.
2. "Those words" were not just put on repeat throughout the speech thus it won't stick in your mind.
3. Traffic control is not done inside the stadium itself but it's surroundings.
4. A CPC campaign back then was NOT a national duty that Soldiers and Corpers will be deployed to.
5. You in one breadth heard war songs being chanted while also hearing GMB making his speech, do you have supernatural hearing abilities?

You might have been at a CPC campaign rally, but making the assertion of "hearing him say those words LiVE" is stretching the truth.

Mr I am not politically inclined, I don't support any party or have anytin to gain.
If someone else hrd him use same words, that means he kepppt using dose words in all the northern states he campaigned
I had absolute no business standing in the sun, if I wasn't mandated as a corper to go aid control traffic and crowd in the stadium with military.
I will never forget that day,u need to see the youth chanting their war songs, I almost tot they will start a riot that day, brandishing cutlass and shouting CPC,
When the crowd was getting outta control we had to run away from the stadium, we ran from stadium at babdariya to nccf corpers lodge . We were scared to even enter bikes cos,the guys were behaving like people on cheap crack!!!

After that day I vowed never to go for any crowd control ish even if it was a religious gathering.

When we went for elections, even dou kebbi was a peaceful state yet I knw many corpers that slept ontop trees and in police stations trying to run from a very violent Cpc youth.
Dose beaten up, those that gave up the ballot papers to save their lives.

It was a very horrible experience so forgive me if I find the man shaddy and don't trust his motives. I am probably still sufferring from my truama during his CPC days.thank you
So in essence you were not "there live" to witness the event happening in the supposed video and thus couldn't have heard him say those word

While what you experienced was valid, it does not however validate your earlier statement that "you were there live."

He said it live. I was there live,I was serving in kebbi state then, 2011,he used the exact same words and openly promised to islamize nigeria if he won.
That is were all this killings they started killing corpers becos according to them we made jonathan win, when we weren't even eligbile to vote. But their cow mentality didn't tell them that.

I will never trust buhari after all those venomous words I heard him sppeak in the stadium that day.
Jonathan might be clueless but buhari is not the change we need.
*fighting harder for my visa,I need to leave this country atleast next 2yrs*
Very strange, now it happened in Kebbi and you witnessed it live.
Another poster said he was there live also, but this time around, it was in.Kaduna state.
Haba! Was he campaigning in two states at the same time.

Another funny stuff is both posters are not his ardent supporter thus won't leave whatever they were doing back then to go stand in the sun and support GMB and neither the two understand the core Hausa language.

Naija na wa!
