charlzchudi: Frankly speaking PMB is setting wrong precedence in Nigeria governance. Concentrating appointments in one section of Nigeria is not good. Every part of Nigeria is blessed with men and women with good breeds that can handle any job perfectly. What he is doing might backfire in future. For instance, if a yoruba wins election in next polls and decides to concentrate non ministerial appointments in SW or southern ,let nobody complain. Or Igbo man becomes president in future and toll the line of PMB by making his non ministerial appointments Igbos orsoutherners, we ll be ready to shout Change. Or South south!. Let us be ready to say "as far as this will bring change, i don't have problem with it" This is a wrong precedence for now which any president could use tomorrow for his or her mischievous mean. Wrong precedence! When GEJ was doing the same thing and sane men were warning of the dangers, his supporters were everywhere shouting that nothing will happen. Well, the tide has turned and you guys are seeing the danger of seeing things from a myopic angle. |

ikombe: read the 1999 constitution of the fedration of nigeria. Section 140. Dats enough to pin him down self You are the one to read that constitution! Section 140 deals with Declaration of Assets while Section 147 deals with Ministers. NOWHERE in the constitution is there a mandate to timelines for appointment of Ministers. Prof Ben Nwabueze is clearly on a looong thing. He is clearly suffering from amnesia or something else, there is no provision like the one he is alluding to anywhere in the constitution. The constitution does not mandate the President to appoint Ministers within an given time or even appoint Ministers at all. Section 147.1 is clear "There shall be such offices of Ministers of the Government of the Federation as may be established by the President." Note the bold part of that provision. Prof should take some back seats and allow the government to run the way the President deems fit, so long as it is within the provisions of the law. |

Do you understand the import? When someone alludes to the provisions of the constitution, the he should state whichever part of the constitution PMB contravenes. |

"[/b] The chinese government itself releases money directly to chinese contractors doing the projects. Their own people asses projects and give approvals for release of money. ". At least I have first hand information on the Galaxy Backbone Project. A Chinese company, Huawei, is the one running it. All the govt does is supervise. At the moment, the project is still on-going, at the gay end of completion.
" Worse still the project mentioned by presidency is not even among funded projects.". Just so surprised that non of the APC brainwashed supporters here, too dense in seeing that NOI is killed and buried, could read and understand that part. They can't see even the part she said the Chinese releases the money in stages. Really appalling Is it the same Chinese Government running and supervising the Port Harcourt Airport construction? Or where did the money go to? Tell me the PH Airport has been completed or how then did the money finish? You guys need to move away from your deluded reasoning and embrace the fact that we need to move forward in this country, and saying I spent on this shouldn't be taken on face value again. simongonner: Okonjo-Iweala, in a statement by her Media Adviser, Mr Paul Nwabuikwu, also explained that contrary to the allegation, the Kano-Lagos rail project was not part of the project listed for funding from the Chinese loan.
Giving a breakdown of the loan and how it was utilised, the minister said $500m was used for the expansion of four International Airport Terminals in Lagos, Kano, Abuja and Port Harcourt; $500m for the Abuja Light Rail project; $984m for the Zungeru Hydro-electric power project and $100m for the Galaxy Backbone project
“In fact, it was the Lagos–Ibadan rail project, not Lagos-Kano rail project that was proposed in the original application to the China-EximBank. But in the end, no funds were assigned for the Lagos-Ibadan rail project by the China-EximBank.”
http://www.punchng.com/news/600m-chinese-rail-loan-not-diverted-okonjo-iweala/ Hmmm, so that sorry building referred to as Port Harcourt International Airport gulped a whopping $100M (18 5Billion Naira)!!!! The PDP chieftain explained that a petition had been sent to the EFCC over the alleged fraudulent transactions involving the immediate past administration in the state between December 1 and 8, 2014.
He said, “Can you imagine that between December 1 and 8, 2014, with one address – 25 Trans-Amadi Road, Port Harcourt, over N21bn of Rivers funds were transferred? We are asking, where did these funds go?” When people are not intelligent, they appeal to sentiments and hope that many gullible ones will be hooked by such sentiments. My posers are simple: 1. Can ANYONE in Nigeria or anywhere in the world, transfer or pay money TO or INTO an address? 2. To allege the fraud, PDP in govt will have access to the transfer documents and thus should be able to say a.)Which project was purportedly used, b.) Which Company was purportedly used and c.)which banks was used The failure of the petition to state clearly this cogent elements of a transfer shows how defective the case is, and it might just be mere propaganda. |

It is clearly You that lacked comprehension skills. The essence of Section 28 is not that you lose your citizenship, but that by Section 66 you cannot hold elective office by virtue of having pledged allegiance to another country. So once it is proven that Saraki's UK's citizenship is by birth, then he did not voluntarily pledge allegiance to another country and thus he would be protected by Section 28. That is why I wrote that the crux is "IF he was born in the UK." I hope I have enlightened you a little. |

Why not sue him for perjury? What are you still waiting for? Truly, he is a Nigerian Citizen by birth as he was born to parents that are Nigerian Citizens by 1960.. However, his failure to answer Question 10 is deliberate as the ONLY way he can then be able to contest is IF he was born in the UK.Now if he wasn't born in the UK, then he necessarily only acquired that citizenship by other means other than by birth and thus not protected under Section 28. Afterall, the people who will constitute the bulk of the forum are yet to be sworn-in, why elect a leader for them when they can elect one themselves? Fayose is ABSOLUTELY WRONG!!! The NGF is an association that deserves leadership AT EVERY POINT in time. That Yari is elected Chairman now is part of the process of any association as those that elected him are Governors, the Governors-elect are NOT members of NGF and thus have no say or input. Fayose come June 1 can be a member of NGF but NOT ALL will still be members, in fact both Amaechi and Jang would not be members come June 1. Now when NGF convenes on June 1 or after, how would the meeting progress when both factional leaders are NO MORE members of the association? That is a recipe for disaster. Now with Yari as Chairman, the NGF as an association can have a properly managed transition. Fayose is just yarning balderdash. |

Fulaman198: It's not the same thing. What you are describing can be done on Android as well. Windows 10 is a full OS both desktop and mobile. Meaning that plugging your phone into a monitor gives you full Windows 10 capabilities that you would experience on a desktop. You can't do everything on a Mobile OS that you can do on a desktop OS. Let's clarify, plugging another device to a Win10 d phone CANNOT and will not give you "FULL DESKTOP" capabilities as plugging devices does not add functionalities not already built in. What you however can have is a "DESKTOP EXPERIENCE" which invariably means 1. Scaling to larger screens; and Being able to use Multiple App Windows on the larger screen. No one and not even Microsoft will bundle a full Desktop OS onto a phone as the requirements would render such a device humongous and laggy as hell on phone specifications. BTW, do try and setup a Samsung S5 to do what I described and then you'd know that Android ain't capable of achieving such simultaneous audio streams. |

SirChelseaAmb: 2. Partial Fuel Subsidy Removal The decision of the Goodluck Jonathan Presidency to withdraw the subsidy paid on crude oil and natural gas products was a brilliant one, but its timing was extremely ill-advised, hence the massive protests that greeted its announcement in 2012. Fuel subsidy is a price manipulation technique employed by the government to fix the pump price of petroleum products at certain amounts, irrespective of their actual market prices, in order to make them affordable for the average Nigerian. To compensate the retailers for their losses, the government pays them the difference between the fixed prices of the products and their actual prices as determined by market forces. Needless to say, this subsidy regime is not sustainable and it goes against the principles of capitalism which Nigeria practices. If fully implemented, the removal of fuel subsidy in Nigeria will free up as much as $6 billion per annum, a sum that can be channelled into other sectors of the economy. But, the downsides of a rushed total fuel subsidy removal are numerous: an immediate spike in the pump price of petroleum products, transport fares and foodstuff; an increased spate of layoffs and business closures due to a rising cost of production; rising unemployment; an attendant deterioration in the standard of living of the average Nigerian; and civil unrest. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=756822227770836 It is ONLY in Nigeria that one can remove subsidy partially (45%) and yet end up paying more than what he/she paid while subsidy was 100%. And still have people believe it is an achievement to be celebrated. Kai!!! |
