That's what I usually do when I have little oil. I use a small pot so I can achieve that deep frying.

Akposy, your puff puff batter should not be too watery so that you can form that O with your hand as it falls into the frying pan.
This is an old photo when I first learnt how to do the balls. I was even in Plateau at that time. Flour was cheap so it became an almost everyday thing for me.
.
Mine wasn't watery though but I'll try to make it a bit thicker. Thanks

Culturedboss1:

The oil should cover it, you can use a small pot so you don't have to use much oil.

You scoop with your hand, forming an 'O' with your fingers, letting the mixture pass through the 'O' formed. I hope you were able to understand this.

The texture should be slightly thicker than pancake mixture and of course deep fry, the oil should totally cover it.
Thanks. I tried that O thing with my hand but ended up fooling myself..I just couldn't get it right.

Must the oil cover it? I don't have that kind of oil o...oil person day manage. The oil I used covered just half way

Mariangeles:
If you can't use your hands to get the perfect shape, use ice cream scoops. That is most people use on Instagram.
You dip the scoop in oil (not hot oil) before scooping some batter, so it drops easily into the hot oil.
Oh....thanks....I don't have an ice cream scoop. I tried using my ⅛ cup but it was sticking to the cup. I'll try the oil dipping. Thanks against

may be because you are in the north you can always have access to it.Here in the south there are time you can't find it in the market. You guys are lucky in the north, when i went to jos last month i just realise the level of farm produce available for consumption. The onions i bought there #700 is worth #2500 here.
In my opinion, I think southern farmers grow what they can make money from easily/quickly. Red pepper sells better than yellow pepper, hence farmers prefer growing the red ones.
So you came and bought our onions... did you pay gate fee cheesy

yes very sure unless the one she used is different. If you get to market ask for fresh Cameroon pepper. It is always on yellow colour anything outside that is not yellow pepper. It is rare to get sometime since it is a seasonal pepper.
You're very correct. Yellow pepper is Cameroon pepper. However, it is not seasonal. It is grown all year round

I only know how to bake those strong European Bread.

My two method.

1.... After grating my coconut meat, I place it on a tray, sprinkle oil on it and bake using oven for few minutes before adding it to my dough.

2.... Heat up your pan, add little coconut oil and fry your coconut meat for some minutes before using.

I don't think your Bread gonna be soft without yeast... except you're using self rising flour and baking powder.

NOTE:
* I only use this method when baking my strong bread...Might be a different method from the ones's here in Africa.

@Akposy What do you think about the yeast?
I think Baking powder/soda should do. I'm not to sure of yeast

It's funny coz my dad doesn't visit our neighbours no more because the wife had a constant sneeze caused by being allergic to cats, so we are now in "total" isolation. 10km to eastside neighbour's house, 25km the southside and the last 2 neighbours are probably close to 60km or something. He is so scared he gets upset when analyst say the 55years and above is more vurenable, even more so with underlying conditions. See him walk outside angry, light up to smoke, cough from the smoke and then starts yelling grin grin at journalists and analysts as if they can hear him. Old man is scared but it's so funny.

You'll be good. Drink that tea with hot pepper buy med lemon
Yea...I've been taking lemon and honey infused in hot water cos there's no where to buy drugs.

Lol. Your dad is funny....I can understand his anger... Wait until he sees a Chinese...na to slap Wuhan outta them
