guy, i can't advice you to differ it because time is life. do all you possibly can to take up the offer. Approach extended family members, pastor/imam, kind frnds for help if you problem is truly about money. this chance may be just all you'll ever find that matter.

CareerRe: Can A Fresher Defer His/her Admission? by Alexk2(m): 4:37pm On Aug 01, 2014
that will depend on the school in question but generally speaking, you have a very slim chance if itz based on finance.

Nairaland GeneralRe: A Thread For Introverts by Alexk2(m): 11:15pm On Jul 31, 2014
J0nyb0y:
10 Myths About Introverts

Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk.
This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something
to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something
they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.

Myth #2 – Introverts are shy.
Shyness has nothing to do with being an Introvert. Introverts are not
necessarily afraid of people. What they need is a reason to interact.
They don’t interact for the sake of interacting. If you want to talk to
an Introvert, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite...

Personally am a very shy person, and a tall dude.. 6'9ft. So you can
imagine, that feeling i get when i step into a room with crowd
you just describing me, bro....nyc job!

i wonder why some people rush to condemn our army without reading through..."16 people lost their lives in the process"..how many pple was kidnapped in the first place?....so, because they recued the wife of deputy prime minister, itz now a successful operation?
how do you define efficiency?

Abt our girls and army:
first, our girls are nolonger missing because we all know where they are(in the hand of those stupid militants)...abt the locatn/s, i'm sure our army are well informed abt that..
our army are more intelligent enough as to avoid the lost of the girls. these pple are rascals and will be ready to waste there lives if our army try anything close to direct rescue effort.
What i strongly think we should do is dialogue with them as requested by sakau. letz give them there wifes in exchange for our girls...thereafter, we'll use any military option to flush them out.
PoliticsThere can never be anything good about all these killings; why celebrating? by Alexk2(op):
what can be the reason
why some people are excited about the killing of innocent lives in the
north?
is this all about loss of values or ethnic prejudice?
why should anyone be happy over the killing of another nigerian?
I have been watching this new trend(on social media) for some weeks now and i can't help
than to create this thread to know if there is something i don't yet
understand about it all.
I know this isnt about religiou affiliation because both muslims and
Christians are victims and even though i'm a strong Christian, i still
strongly hold the believe that NIGERIA muslims are not terrorists and
War against terror in nigeria shouldn't be viewed as a religious war.
That said, we should all join our hands together to compaign against all
form of terror in our country instead of displaying a nonchallant
attitude.
I see no reason why any nigerian should celeberate over the killing of
an Iraqis let alone a fellow nigerian; itz way too absurd and
unthinkable.
God bless NIGERIA!

daryoor:
we've all heard about how the whole temperament thing,
and the conclusion that there is no perfect personality, that all
has their pros and cons.

there are intelligent women that are aware of their potential, they are
their opinion without fear, the are very active individuals. these
women can make strategic decisions in the absence of their husbands.
but the down side of this type is that the emasculate their husbands
because the believe very well in their opinions and the can easily
point out when the hubands leadership is far away from ideal, and this
leads to a lot of instability.

on the othe hand there are very obedient women who just nuture you
and your kids, no ambition or crave for control, they just want peace
and stability, i know you can be intelligent and choose to be
submissive but im refering to those ones that got you shocked when
you heard they are graduates, the ones that actually cant
contribute anything logical or thoughtful, the kind of wife that you
cant discuss your problems with an be sure she cant ever give u a well
thought out advise or suggestion, women like this have no interest
in politics, culture or basic philosophy, she can only talk about
fathiah balogun and p. square.

i know these two cases are extreme but which is better?
are you saying there are ladies that are intelligent as you described in your write up?.....definetely not in nigeria, bro.
to find a lady that will possess half of that(averagely intelligent), you'll have met 1000 that are far bellow par...that is a hard truth, bro.

can some1 explain why EFCC is now active?....
we have to stop all these deciet in the name a politics....most nigerians knw the truth....
what makes him worse than the governor of kogi state for example?
There is basically no difference btw the characters in PDP and APC, so stop playing politics of bitterness with federal might.
We need EFCC to stem down corruption and not fighting the opposition.

You have the facts...The so called Federal Govt is just a huge beast
fighting against the territorial enclave called Nigeria.
Time and time again, reasonable citizens have advocated for resource
control by federating states but those who donot understand the true
meaning of Fiscal Federalism prefer to die with ethnic and political
sentiments. Things will continue to be the way they are if not worse,
until all nigerians begin to reason and see that true federalism is the
way out of this jungle.
thatz a very good point bt that alone wont solve our many problems in this country.
greediness, selfishness and inherent tendency to emass public wealth will still ruin the a true fiscal federalism. We have a leadership problem to deal with first and when the leaders start doing things right, the masses will follow suite either willingly or forcefully....
the change should start from me and you!
BusinessRe: Time Running Out For Nigeria’s LNG Projects by Alexk2(m):
My heart skiped @ the mention of OKLNG. these are huge employment generating
firms that can turn the economy of the country around in few years.
I did my 6mths SIWES there in 2009 and i'm very much aware of how
irresponsible our govt can be by not showing commitment in the best of
ideas.
OKLNG is jointly owned by SHELL(19.50%), CHEVRON(19.50%), BG(14.25%) and
NNPC(40%) but BG pulled out coz of poor commitment from the FG and
there share was shared btw NNPC and Chevron(22.74%)....unfortunately,
Shell and Cheron pulled out in 2012 and 2013 respectively for same
reason and rendering many jobless in the process. I'm aware Dangote and
other locals biz mogul are coming in to save OKLNG...pray itz true.

Same
collabo. with brass and others.

Nigeria need serious prayer from bad leadership coz our suffering isnt
because of what we dont have but greed and selfishness.
Christianity EtcRe: It Is The Word That Changes, Not Arguement..... by Alexk2(m): 5:07am On Jul 22, 2014
[quote
author=PastorOluT]I remember a story about a very young convert. He
knew nothing about personal work, but he did know one passage of the
scripture. Approaching an infidel he invited him to Christ.
But I dont believe in Christ", said the infidel. "well," reponded
the new convert, "the bible says, 'He that believeth not shall be
damned."
"But I dont believe in the bible either," responded the infidel.
"That doesn't change it," answered the other, "because God declared that
'He that believeth not shall be damned."
"God! Haven't I told you I dont believe in God? I tell you there is no
God," exclaimed the infidel, his wrath rising. "And again I say,"
quietly responded the new convert, "that 'He that believeth not shall be
damned."
Picking up his hat. the infidel, in a fury of rage, pushed him
aside, and left the building, cursing and swearing as he went. The young
convert, somewhat dissapointed and humilated, offered an earnest
prayer, lamenting his lack of knowledge, and asking the spirit of God to
work. And He did. The man went home to bed, but not to sleep. Hour
after hour he tossed restlessly from side to side. All is old arguement
upon which he prided himself he went over one by one. Yet every now and
then he will hear those solemn words "He that believeth not shall be
damned." At last unable to bear it any longer, he climbed out of bed,
fell on his knees and prayed, "O God, if there be a God, save me. Reveal
Thy Son to me and help me to believe." And before long he was rejoicing
in Christ.

The word, you see, is quick and powerful. It is sharper than any
two-edged sword. And it alone God had promised to bless and use. Not
your arguements, but His word. For God says His word shall prosper, so
preach the word. The natural, unregenerated man, you see, can not
intellectually understand the things of God, because they are in the
realm in which he is entirely unacquainted. With the natural he is
familiar and at home, but to the spiritual he is a stranger. Hence the
utter uselessness of trying to convince him with human reasoning.

Stay blessed and remain rapturable[/quote]i wish i can talk/chat with you privately.
this is urgent, pls.

Christianity EtcWhat Is Normal/moral/biblical About All These Unnecessary Celebration?. by Alexk2(op):
I have to attend my cousin's graduation ceremony today (for Nursery 2, primary 5, J.SS 3 and SS.3) and that got me thinking about how we waste money on stupid things and yet we all complain....I mean graduation without results/certificates not to talk of the class involved. Aside that, what about the elaborate burial celebration that is fast becoming a normal thing?.... A 50+ adult died and we'll turn the whole town/city upside down in the name of celebrating life. Unwise couples now have to pay debts long after there wedding just in the name of satisfying people and having it the way the society demands(Introduction+Registry+Engagement+Traditional Wed+Bachelor Eve+White Wed+) My question is, what are we celebrating when we can't find a meaning to it and been stupidly wasteful? can we find a biblical basis for all these fivolities? Is it realy part of Nigeria/africa culture?..if yes, isn't that an abuse? pls., don't just read, share your view about this abuse.

These dudes don't deserve any security agents, they
should walk like the ordinary men. They embezzle and spend security
votes allocated to their states thereby making life unbearable for its
citizens. The little security we have they share amongst themselves.
Imagine "Dozens of soldiers led by garrison commander", it wouldn't be
needed if they had utilized the security votes wisely.

I pray for peace in the north, I pray for love between Muslims and
Christians, I pray for love between Yorubas and Igbos.

Long live Nigeria.
to think that the security men were withdrawn from a sitting governor is more worrisome...this is why i hate nigeria politics; full of bitterness on excessive hunger for power....may God save our dear country from bad leaders who don't mean well for the masses
