Science/TechnologyRe: Nissan Made An Autonomous Golf Ball by AlphaTaikun: 10:42pm On Apr 01, 2022
michaelezechi:
Nissan has been a keen developer of interesting [automotive related] concepts, be it an electric ice cream van, a camper powered by recycled electric car batteries, a self-parking chair or self-parking slippers [yes, such thing exists]. The Japanese automaker has shown it wouldn't stop, having done so again with the unveiling of a new autonomous golf ball. As the word "autonomous" suggests, the golf ball is able to navigate and steer itself on a predefined route to a targeted hole. But that doesn't mean it'll magically take itself to any hole, instead it works as sort of an assistance system [like the type found in several vehicles today] to help golfers hit their aim on each putt.

The golf ball works this way: a separate overhead camera detects the position of the ball and the targeted golf cup. When the ball is hit, a monitoring system then calculates the correct route based on the ball's movement and adjusts its trajectory, making it stay on route till it lands in the golf cup. The new golf ball is inspired by Nissan's ProPILOT 2.0 driver assistance technology, which engages with its cars' navigation systems to help maneuver them according to a pre-defined route.

Visitors were given the chance to try the autonomous golf ball at the Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery in Yokohama, beginning from the 29th of August through today, the 1st of September. The demonstration runs/ran from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m on the three chosen days. For a first-person view of how it works, don't go far, watch YouTube video [link] below:

Nairaland GeneralRe: Research Reveals That Being In A Bad Mood Can Improve Your Brain’s Productivity by AlphaTaikun: 5:33pm On Apr 01, 2022
EntertainingYou:
Being in an bad mood can enable certain individuals to think all the more proficiently as far as their capacity to center consideration, oversee time and organize undertakings, as per new research.

New research found that being in a bad mood can help some people’s executive functioning, such as their ability to focus attention, manage time and prioritize tasks. The same study found that a good mood has a negative effect on it in some cases.

Tara McAuley, a psychology professor at the University of Waterloo, and Martyn S. Gabel, a PhD candidate, explored whether our emotional reactivity shaped how mood influences the kinds of thinking skills we need to navigate the demands and stresses of day-to-day life. Emotional reactivity refers to the sensitivity, intensity and duration of our emotional responses associated with our mood.

“Our results show that there are some people for whom a bad mood may actually hone the kind of thinking skills that are important for everyday life,” said McAuley.

The high-reactive individuals – people who have rapid, intense, and enduring emotional responses – performed better on executive function tasks when experiencing a bad mood. Low-reactive individuals showed the opposite effect, with bad mood associated with worse executive functioning.

This pattern of results supports the view that a bad mood may help with some executive skills – but only for people who are more emotionally reactive.

“People shouldn’t interpret the results as saying it’s fine to fly off the handle or overreact, or to be grouchy,” said McAuley. “We know that emotional reactivity differs from person to person starting at a very early age and that these individual differences have implications for mental health later in development.”

Further research is needed to explain the relationship, but some studies suggest that high-reactive people are more accustomed to experiencing negative emotions. As such, bad moods may be less distracting for them compared with lower-reactive people.
The study included 95 participants, each of whom completed nine distinct tasks and questionnaires that measure the interplay of mood, emotional reactivity and various working memory and analytic challenges.

Lol... grin grin. @Biglittlelois, your reactive post cracked me up.

This is the reason why I stopped following male soccer matches for years now to avoid mental torture, and I've had peace of mind since
the early 2000s. Watching the 1994 Olympics soccer team, and 1994 Senior World Cup live gave me the most satisfaction, but after that era,
it's all been going down south.

People should STOP deriving their

A lot of folks who get reactive and violent after soccer match loses

CultureRe: Nigeria's Slave Descendants Prevented From Marrying Who They Want by AlphaTaikun: 10:32am On Apr 01, 2022
budaatum:
I want to believe you, I really do, but.

https://www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/the-descendants-of-slaves-in-nigeria-fight-for-equality

And before anyone thinks this is Igbo bashing, we Yorubas kept slaves too.
@Budaatum,
Yorubas never at anytime in history practiced this kind of intra-ethnic caste system stigmatisation.

From my knowledge of advanced history for over the years, there were Hausa and Kanuri slaves (such as Ali Eisami) who were captured during the Hausa Civil Wars, and the Fulani jihads in the North from the late 1700s to the 1800s, and sold to Yorubas for domestic use, farming, tendering to horses, and more.

The Kanuri man (Ali Eisami) who was captured by Fulanis in Kanuriland was eventually
re-sold, but he and others were rescued from the slave ship heading to the Americas by a British Naval ship off the coast of
West Africa and taken to Freetown, Sierra Leone in the 1800s.

Over 100,000 Africans of different ethnicities were rescued from slave ships by mainly the British and American Naval Squadrons.

The subject matter or deep thrust
of the BBC and NewYorker articles on this thread as told by specific Ibos is on the deep stigmatisation of many specific Ibo families under the Osu Caste System on the one hand, and Ohu (slaves) practice on the other hand.

1. Osu means family lineages of outcastes sacrificed to the gods
in Ibo communities.

2. Ohu means family lineages of slaves in Ibo communities.

The Ibos have not done away with the 2 forms of cultural stigmas despite the 1957 ban and other so-called bans till recent times.

There are many conservative Ibos who (I've heard a 2020 online radio recording of Lagos and Ogun-based Ibo males openly justifying the Osu caste system. One of the guys on the phone-in program sarcastically
said "it is the Hausa, Yoruba, and Benue people that are marrying
the Osus." Also on a 2021 live program by Ifedayo "Daddy Freeze" Olarinde, he was told by some of these guys to leave the Osu custom alone) will tell you that if traditional marriage cannot be eradicated then "Osu" cannot be eradicated because it is deeply cultural!

NOTE:
The bottom line is that if a-non
Ibo man or woman gets married
to an Osu or Oru, then you
automatically become stigmatised as an Osu by association in Ibo culture.

All the best!
CultureRe: Nigeria's Slave Descendants Prevented From Marrying Who They Want by AlphaTaikun: 8:28am On Apr 01, 2022
AryEmber:
In a tragedy reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet, a couple in Nigeria killed themselves earlier this month after their parents had forbidden them from marrying because one of them was a descendant of slaves.

"They're saying we can't get married... all because of an ancient belief," the note they left behind said.

The lovers, who were in their early thirties, hailed from Okija in south-eastern Anambra state, where slavery was officially abolished in the early 1900s, as in the rest of the country, by the UK, Nigeria's colonial ruler at the time.

But descendants of freed slaves among the Igbo ethnic group still inherit the status of their ancestors and they are forbidden by local culture from marrying those Igbos seen as "freeborn".

"God created everyone equally so why would human beings discriminate just because of the ignorance of our forefathers," the couple said.
Many Igbo couples come across such unexpected discrimination.

Three years ago Favour, 35, who prefers not to use her surname, was preparing for her wedding to a man she had dated for five years, when his Igbo family discovered that she was the descendant of a slave.

"They told their son that they didn't want anything to do with me," said Favour, who is also Igbo.

At first, her fiancé was defiant, but the pressure from his parents and siblings soon wore him down and he ended their romance.

"I felt bad. I was so hurt. I was so pained," she said.

Prosperous but 'inferior'
Marriage is not the only barrier slave descendants face.

They are also banned from traditional leadership positions and elite groups, and often prevented from running for political office and representing their communities in parliament.
However, they are not hindered from education or economic advancement.

The ostracism often pushed them to more quickly embrace the Christianity and formal education brought by missionaries, at a time when other locals were still suspicious of the foreigners.

Some slave descendants are today among the most prosperous in their communities, but no matter how much they achieve, they are still treated as inferior.

In 2017, 44-year-old Oge Maduagwu founded the Initiative for the Eradication of Traditional and Cultural Stigmatisation in our Society (Ifetacsios).

For the past three years, she has been travelling across the five states of south-eastern Nigeria, advocating equal rights for descendants of slaves.
The kind of suffering that the black people are going through in America, the slave descendants here are also going through the same," she said.

Ms Maduagwu is not a slave descendant, but she observed the inequality while growing up in Imo state and was moved to tackle it after watching the devastation of her close friend who was prevented from marrying a slave descendant.

During her trips, Ms Maduagwu meets separately traditional persons of influence and slave descendants, then mediates dialogue sessions between the two groups.

"Men sat down to make these rules," she said. "We can also sit down and remake the rules."

Descendants of slaves among the Igbo fall into two main categories - the ohu and the osu.

The ohu's ancestors were owned by humans, while the osu's were owned by gods - people dedicated to community shrines.

"Osu is worse than slavery," said Ugo Nwokeji, a professor of African studies at the University of California, Berkeley, who thinks the osu were wrongly classified as slaves by the missionaries.

"Slaves could transcend slavery and became slave masters themselves but the osu for generations unborn could never transcend that."
Discrimination against the osu does tend to be worse.

While the ohu are marginalised as outsiders - with no known places of origin or ageless ties to the lands where their ancestors were brought as slaves - breaking taboos about relations with the osu is accompanied, not just by fear of social stigma, but of punishment by the gods who supposedly own them.

Favour's fiancé was told by his father that his life would be cut short if he married her, an osu.

"They instilled fear in him," she said. "He asked me if I wanted him to die."

'Grassroots engagement'
Such fears have made it difficult to enforce laws against discrimination which exist in the Nigerian constitution, plus a 1956 law by Igbo lawmakers specifically banning discrimination against ohu or osu.

"Legal proscriptions are not enough to abolish certain primordial customs," said Anthony Obinna, an Catholic archbishop in Imo state, who advocates for an end to the discrimination. "You need more grassroots engagement."
In her advocacy, Ms Maduagwu educates people on the various ways in which traditional guidelines on relating with the osu have been breached, "without the gods wreaking any havoc".

"Today, we are tenants in their houses, we are on their payroll, we go to borrow money from them," she said.

Such association with the osu would have been unthinkable in the past.

No official data exists on the number of slave descendants in south-eastern Nigeria.

People tend to hide their status, although this is impossible in smaller communities where everyone's lineage is known. Some communities have only ohu or osu, while some have both.

In recent years, increasing agitation from ohu and osu has led to conflict and unrest in many communities.

Some slave descendants have started parallel societies with their own leadership and elite groups.
About 13 years ago, the osu in Imo state formed a group called Nneji, which means "from the same womb".

Among the benefits that Nneji offers its thousands of members is arranging marriages between their adult children in different parts of the world, saving them the potential heartbreak of relationships with "freeborn".

"People come to you when they want a favour from you," said Ogadinma, a septuagenarian from a wealthy osu family, whose husband is a patron of the Nneji.

"But those same people, when your children want to marry their children, they complain that the person is osu."
Archbishop Obinna, who has been criticised for officiating at the weddings of what he describes as "mixed couples", said: "I have had to safeguard some of the couples from the violence of their parents and relatives."

Ogadinma, who also asked me not to use her surname to protect her family, faced discrimination when she ran for political office about 10 years ago.

Petitions poured in from people who said that she was "unsuitable" to contest - and the national leader of her party, who was Yoruba, found it difficult to support her, convinced that she stood no chance.

"He told me plainly: 'There is something Igbo people say that you are, which will not allow your people to vote for you.'"

Discrimination based on slave caste is not common among the Yoruba or Hausa, Nigeria's two other major ethnic groups. But it has been reported among some ethnic groups in other West African countries, such as Mali and Senegal.

Ms Maduagwu's Ifetacsios group now has four staff and about a dozen volunteers. The work has been slow and hard, but a handful of traditional rulers have embarked on the process of abolishing the inequality in their communities.

She says she was initially shocked by the attacks on social media from people opposed to her activism.

"I had to join a lot of Igbo groups to spread the message and a lot of them insulted me and told me that their tradition will remain."

Nollywood factor
Such attitudes even among the educated and enlightened are perpetuated by African literature such as late Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, Ogadinma believes.

"He was a person dedicated to a god, a thing set apart - a taboo for ever, and his children after him," Achebe, who was Igbo, wrote of the osu in his 1958 classic.

"He could neither marry nor be married by the freeborn… An osu could not attend an assembly of the freeborn, and they, in turn, could not shelter under his roof... When he died he was buried by his kind in the Evil Forest."
Ogadinma worries that Nigerian students around the world who read the novel as part of their curriculum subconsciously adopt traditional beliefs about the osu.

"If every generation of Nigerian children is reading about this osu, don't you think it will affect their thinking?" she said.

Nollywood also plays a part, according to Aloysius Agbo, an Anglican bishop in Enugu state, who advocates for an end to the discrimination.

Nigerian films have their dedicated TV channels, including the wildly popular Africa Magic.

"Beliefs that we already accepted as superstitious are now coming back as real truths because of what we watch on Africa Magic," said Bishop Agbo. "They do it as showcasing our culture but they are not conscious of the impact on society."

But with the recent Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests around the world, Ms Maduagwu hopes that more Igbo people will be inspired to change their attitudes.

"If more people will reflect that the agonising journey of the black Americans began here, the BLM protests will affect our work positively," Ms Maduagwu said.

"Africans need to look inwardly to see what is happening in their homeland."

1. Ohu means family lineages of

yinkaOdutuyo:
So the main issue that led to me denying her food this night.

I asked her for the two of us to go and get ingredients for food, she said she's having serious headache so I went alone.

When I came back I washed the rice and put it on fire and I also start grinding the pepper and tomatoes with manual grinder.

After few minutes when the rice was done I asked my wife to go and put down the rice from fire, and fried the stew afterwards.

She just started shouting she's so tired, her head is hot and making hefty sounds inside that she can't stand up from this bed.

I insisted and she went to put the rice down and off the gas, instead of her to start frying the stew. She just came and meet me on the bed.

And she started shouting I didn't tell you am hungry, am not even eating this night at all. Do whatever you want to do, I'll never stand up to make any stew in this house. If you want to eat go and make the stew yourself.

I just stood up and enter the kitchen to make the stew. As I was making the stew, my wife that said she's not feeling fine was busy watching film on her phone. She complained earlier that her head is hefty and aching her that she can't stand up from the bed, but she stood up and start looking for the BT Audio to connect to her phone so that she'll be able to hear the film audio very well.

Immediately I finished making thr stew, I served the food on the table and the next my wife wanted to stood up from the bed to join on the table so that we can eat.

I just told her that You can never eat from this food this night and tomorrow morning, because you were the one that said you were not hungry that I was troubling you to make food.

I also told her that the headache allow you br watching films and also allow you to be looking for BT Audio. But denied you to cook for me.

So house I want to know if this is right or wrong pls or what can I do.

To all moniker saying have I ever helped her before this is for you below:

BTW I have cooked many times in the house, there are times she'll go to work before she comes back I'll have prepare good foods, that will atimes takes me 2 or more hours to prepare and she'll come back and eat and smile and say thank you. I use to get home between 5pm and 6pm latest, while she'll be coming home by 7pm, 8pm or latter.

At times the two of us may be at home and I'll be the only one cooking, while she'll just lie down watching films or doing another thing while I do the while cooking.

I think I have being helpful to her in cooking and other chores in the house. There are many times I'll be the one washing all the clothes in the house, while she's sleeping or doing something else.

I literally do almost 80% of everything in the house if not more than.

But me doing all those doesn't mean am a fool or I don't know what am doing.

Bit I think as a man you have to man up.
You should have noticed the red
flags before getting married to
this young woman.

You should not feel guilty about
not giving her out of the food. You need to start setting boundaries
by being flexible and firm so that her brain gets rebooted.

But don't get verbally or physically violent with her.

attitude, you can accomplish anything you set out to do. Make the decision, do not waiver
in the face of adversity, and you will reap the rewards of your effort. Give in to adversity
and quit and you can expect to be completely and totally AVERAGE.

4) Never give women power over you.:-
When women have the upper hand they will
use it to your peril. It is only when you hold your rightful power that women respect you. It
is usually the case that men who give women power, who try and do everything to please
women, who would never dream of arguing or abusing a women, that get the police
called on them for “abuse.”

5) Trust is earned, not given:- Treat everyone with respect but never let your guard down. People in this world are out to eat the weak and if you show vulnerability the hyenas
will feast.

6) It’s not OK to be a wuss.:- Only single mommies and weak daddies raise sissies.
A strong father will not raise a weak child, he will teach his child the importance of stoic
strength. He will teach him the importance of a “Yes, I can!” attitude

7)The importance of hard work.:- Your teenage years will mark you for the rest of
your life, it is imperative that you get in some hard work so you can develop the habit of
not being a lazy slob. That can mean athletics, yard work, farm work, work in the family
business, or school work.

8. The importance of physical fitness:-
Keeping your body lean and mean shows
pride in yourself and your abilities. Letting yourself go is a sign of weakness, depression,
and high estrogen and low testosterone

9) Don’t believe her when she says she’s on the pill. A.P.O.E. (Always pull out
early).

10) Opportunity is everywhere.:- You must learn to keep your eyes and ears open
and ready to take advantage of opportunity. As a man you do not wait for opportunity to
present itself to you, you seek it out.

11) Always give 110%. :- If you are going to do something your must do it right. Never
give less than your best. Your aim for perfection is what separates you from the animals of
society

12) Your word is special:- If you say you will do something it is a must that you follow
through. Never, ever be known as a liar or as a flake. Your reputation is special and must
be kept in-tact

13) Excuses are useless. :- Excuses are for the useless and the weak who cannot do
what they said they would do. Always do as you say you will do and never give excuses
as to why you didn’t do something.

14) Excessive apologies are for pussies:-. Never, ever apologize unless you have
done something terribly wrong. Never end phone calls with “sorry”, never pepper your conversation with “sorry” and never BE sorry unless you truly must be. If it wasn’t your fault
do not say sorry. If it wasn’t a heinous crime, don’t say sorry.

15) Girls:- Girls will respond to you being a boy. They will not respond to you trying to bond
with them and have things in common with them. The further away from their femininity
you are the more they will be attracted to you. Tease them, play with them, treat them like
a little sister and you will not have girl problems.

16) The importance of athletics:- Sports will teach you discipline and competition and
they will give you pride of accomplishment. Sports will develop your body at the point in
time it is most essential to develop your body – your teenage years.

17) Be bold.:- Bold action is required to reap the rewards of life. Timidity is good for nothing. Bold men are men of worth.
If you want something you go after it and you take it. You don’t ask permission to fulfill your
goals, you don’t apologize for your goals, you don’t make excuses for your goals, and you
don’t give a damn about being modest in the face of lessers.

18) Discipline is a must:- You must be disciplined enough to keep your hair fresh and clean, you must bathe regularly, you must dress your bed, you must wear clean clothes daily, you must not dress like a slob, and you must keep yourself in top physical condition.

19) Think BIG!:- Small dreams are worthless. Think BIG and get BIG results. Aim high, go
for the gold

20) Travel.:- Travel as often as you can. Travel does not inherently make you a better person
but it gives you life experience and a chance to see how the rest of the world lives. It will
give you stories to tell for years to come.

21) Don’t talk so much. No one needs to know your plans except for you. Keep a lid on
the motor-mouthing

22) Embrace the future but do not give up tradition. The future will bring some
fantastic advancements but never clown on your race, your races tradition and values.
That’s part of who you are and it is to be embraced.

23) How to shave. The internet should not be a guide to life. Every son should learn to shave from his father.

24) How to shoot a gun.:- Every man should know how to shoot a gun. Especially with
the world delving into chaos. If you shoot an animal for sport be sure to eat the meat.

25) Don’t bully or harm but always fight back:-.
Never, ever let someone slap you
around or have their way with you. You don’t start fights but you sure as hell finish them if
needed.

26) The word “no” gives you all the power:- Never be afraid to say no.

27) How to change the oil in your car / How to change a tire.

Some day you may be on the highway far from anywhere when a tire blows, you will need to know how to put on a spare tire and not have to rely on mechanical
support.

28) How to lift weights and do pushups. Learning proper from a seasoned pro is
better than learning from the internet.

29) Always ask for what you want. If the waiter brings you the wrong food, tell them.
If the cook made your order wrong, tell them. Never be shy to get what you paid for. If
your woman asks you what you want for dinner, you always answer. You never say “oh, I dunno… what do you want?“

30) Don’t be afraid to negotiate.:- You will want to get the best possible price on the
cars and houses you buy. Never pay the asking price (unless it’s a steal) and always try to
negotiate the best possible price..

31) Save money:-
Spending your money on the latest gadgets and doo-dads and not
saving anything for a rainy day is stupid. You will always need a backup fund for a rainy day
or for an investment opportunity. The Richest Man in Babylon is good bed-time reading.

32) Always keep a positive mental attitude.:--
Remember Son, whether you think you
can or think you can’t, you are right.

BusinessRe: Countries In Africa That Are Most Affected As Meta Halts Low-cost Express Wi-fi by AlphaTaikun:
g7conet:
Countries in sub-Saharan Africa have been worst-affected by Meta’s plan to discontinue its low-cost Express Wi-Fi internet, launched five years ago to drive connectivity in underserved regions.

Meta (formerly Facebook) quietly issued this notice saying that it plans to wind down the program later this year. In countries like Kenya, however, the service has been off since mid-December 2020.

The switch-off comes barely a year after Meta partnered with Eutelsat Konnect, a satellite operator, to expand the low-cost internet service in parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Cameroon, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda.

Other countries where Express Wi-Fi had a reach include Malawi, Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Senegal, among the over 30 countries across Africa, Asia, and South America where the program was live.

“After more than five years in operation, we are planning to wind down our Express Wi-Fi program. Together with our partners, we helped expand public Wi-Fi access for people in more than 30 countries via the Express Wi-Fi platform. While we are concluding our work on this program to focus on developing other projects, we remain committed to working with partners across the telecom ecosystem to deliver better connectivity,” said Meta in the notice.

“As we conclude our work on the program later this year, we’ll work closely with Express Wi-Fi partners to help minimize the impact to their businesses and their customer’s connectivity.”

The social media giant worked with partners including ISPs and mobile network operators to connect people, through wifi hotspots, in public places like markets and facilities such as schools, in rural and urban regions. The partners would set the price of the internet bundles sold by retailers or agents.

The program was envisioned to bridge the internet gap across emerging markets like Africa, where connectivity is lowest across the globe. Currently, about 28% of the population in sub-Saharan Africa is connected to mobile internet according to the 2021 GSMA mobile economy report. In comparison, the connectivity in other regions like Europe stands at over 80%. Meta’s ambitious Express-Wifi project was meant to bridge this internet gap. In what seems like a change of tact, Meta is now extending its 45,000Km 2Africa subsea cable across Africa, Europe, and Asia as part of its low-cost internet strategy.

Google is also building Equiano, a sub-sea cable that will cut across South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, and St Helena, connecting Africa and Europe. It is expected that connectivity will grow as more internet infrastructure is built.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) estimates that Africa’s internet economy has the potential to reach $180 billion, accounting for 5.2% of the continent’s GDP by 2025, driven by growing digital consumption, rising urbanization, and quickening smartphone penetration.
Cost-cutting measures by Meta... while leveraging on sub-sea cables.

Science/TechnologyRe: How To View A Linkedin Profile Anonymously by AlphaTaikun: 12:43am On Mar 31, 2022
sleeksavbvy:
LinkedIn is a business social network and the place to be if you’re looking for a new job or curious as to what happened to the guy who used to sit next to you in the office. If someone looks at your profile, it’s usually because they are interested in you at a professional level – so you want to know, right?

Occasionally, though, you’ll discover that the person who viewed your profile has hidden their identity. So you know someone’s looking, but not who. It’s annoying, but it is also possible to see why that might appeal to some, such as those headhunting for a role or cross-referencing your CV to your public persona.

Always obtain a Vehicle History Report for any vehicle you're considering purchasing at auction or from a dealership, craigslist or indeed any other source.

VIN reports contain details about the VIN itself, the vehicle history including history of Liens, the Title status, etc. They also include Theft history, which is very important, to avoid criminal proceedings by the US or Canadian authorities.

Contact any VIN check platform for trusted, reliable and comprehensive VIN checks and reports.

Unfortunately most naija people hardly do any research before buying used cars. A person would just tell a car dealer to get him a "neat, grade 1 tokumbo direct", without bothering to do even simple Vin check on the car. Even on YouTube you will see car gurus like Scotty Kilmer giving useful car tips, but naija people wont give a damn. I know a man who bought Nissan Murano jeep and never enjoyed that car at all. I dont know the millions he wasted on the damn thing, but he wouldn't have bought it in the first place if he had done a little research. From the agony the man went through, I almost concluded that Nissan Murano must be among the worst cars ever made. Later I got to know that the issue with nissan murano had to do with the problematic CVT transmission. Infact because of the issue with the transmission nissan discontinued a particular murano model, but people were ignorantly buying its tokumbo here as graded.
An insightful post.

HealthRe: Throat Cancer & MouthAction: Why Men Should Use Fingers & Not Tongue - Dr. Mensah by AlphaTaikun: 9:43pm On Mar 30, 2022
Groovenaija360:
- Doctors say it is dangerous to engage in MouthAction if you have multiple partners

- Ghanaian Dr. Mensah has advised men to, instead of using their tongue to stimulate the clitoris, use their fingers.

Founder of Philteng Medical Centre, Dr. Philemon Mensah, has urged couples to desist from MouthAction since it can be deadly. According to the medical doctor, couples should find alternative means to satisfy themselves sexually instead of resulting in MouthAction.

Contributing to a discussion on the issue on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Friday, Dr. Mensah warned that those engaging in MouthAction were twice more likely to have oral HPV infection than those who did not engage in MouthAction.

He revealed that[center][/center] mouth cancer is on the rise and the spread of HPV from MouthAction could be the main reason because it [HPV] affects the skin found in areas of the body exposed to moisture including the mouth, rectum, cervix, and throat.

He said MouthAction has been linked with an increased risk of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection in the mouth with an increased risk of developing throat cancers.

“The highly contagious virus is commonly contracted through unprotected sexual activity,” he added.

In conclusion, Dr Mensah advised the alternative to stimulate the clitoris, should be the use of the fingers and not the tongue. He also called on people to always go for screening and check-up to guard against cancer of any kind.

ArewaNorth:
Fact Check-Video of young girl confronting a soldier has nothing to do with the Ukraine conflict

Social media users have incorrectly linked a 2012 video of a Palestinian girl confronting Israeli soldiers with Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

The clip, shared with captions in English in February 2022, which has had millions of views, has been described as showing a Ukrainian girl telling a Russian soldier to “go back to your country”.
At least 352 civilians, including 14 children, have been killed since Russia launched its full-scale attack on Ukraine on Feb. 24. A further 1,684 people have been wounded (here).

On Feb. 28, ceasefire talks began on the Belarussian border, Moscow said, as sanctions on Russia deepened the country’s diplomatic and economic isolation (here).

The video of the girl on social media is not related to the Ukraine conflict. It is nearly 10 years old and shows Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi confronting Israeli soldiers in the West Bank.

VERDICT

Miscaptioned. The video is from 2012 and shows a Palestinian girl confronting Israeli soldiers.

CrimeRe: Kano Kidnapped Children: Photos And List Of 47 More Abducted Kids by AlphaTaikun: 2:10pm On Mar 30, 2022
References:
Parents of missing children have released a list of 47 children suspected to be abducted and taken to Southern parts of the country.

On Saturday, the Kano Police Command said it traced and rescued nine children kidnapped in Kano, trafficked to Onitsha in Anambra State and sold off for child slavery.

DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that the rescue followed public outcry by some parents that there was rise in cases of missing children in some areas of the metropolis.

Speaking to DAILY NIGERIAN on Thursday, the leader of the group of parents, Tajiri Hotoro, said the number of the missing children abducted within the last four years in just Nassarawa Local Government is more than 100.

Nassarawa is one out of the 44 Local Government Areas in Kano State.

Presenting the list and pictures of the children to our reporter, Mr Hotoro said there are more parents of missing children who did care to register with their group.

“Quite a number of parents have resigned to their fate. Some do not even have the transport fare to attending our meetings.

“We are calling on government and other relevant agencies to join together to rescue our children. We are in deep agony,” he said.

He said 10 suspects were arrested by the police and arraigned two years ago but were later released by the court.

According to Mr Hotoro, lawyers and court officials stopped them from talking to press, despite the fact a state High Court sitting in Ungogo had set free the suspects.
