Culture › Re: Igbo, Ibibio, Etc. In The Atlantic Slave Trade by amor4ce(m): 2:52am On Apr 15, 2012
Ptolomeus: Sorry if I return you to the main topic of the thread.
The information you submit is the British trade, not of the whole slave trade. Do not forget that the primary dealers were not the British, but the Portuguese and the Dutch.
Do not forget that the slave tráfrico to America (to all America, not just USA) was produced by "waves". That is, in the beginning, the vast majority belonged to ethnic groups that had undergone in tribal wars and sold to slavery, but over time, other people were subjected in tribal wars and in turn sold to the slavers. This fact rules out the possibility that trade traffic has remained constant with a tribe.
Another important fact, that we should not forget, is the function for those slaves that were required. For hard work in mines, plantations of cotton, coffee, cocoa, was essential to have strong physical slaves, while for rural or domestic tasks, child slaves were required complexion, and considered less rebellious.
For example, in South America, with exception of Brazil and Cuba, the vast majority of slaves was of origin Angola. Yoruba groups became part of the traffic quite some time before the same trade was abolished, and was declared in most countries the end of slavery. Still, Cities like Keto were literally washed away.
These and many other historical events, let me not agree with your statement about the hegemony of one ethnic group in the slave trade.
Anyway, your article is excellent, a wonderful contribution.
A very respectful greeting and thank you very much!
Your observation is intelligent, however the Igbo (not all) are known to boast a lot and thus in the argument for this thread they were blinded by their desire for attention. Note also that prior to their export of slaves they used to kidnap each other in order to satisfy their craving for human flesh which they saw as the choicest of meats. Even the notable ex-slave, Olaudah Equino, admitted that when he was kidnapped he feared he was going to be eaten. With such bountiful experience, kidnapping themselves for export as slaves was not difficult. Similarly, the reason for their high kidnapping rates today is not farfetched.

Christianity Etc › Re: Jesus Christ Is Not A Christian by amor4ce(m): 2:25am On Apr 13, 2012
abubello: Jesus christ is a muslim:
1) He beleives in one God like all other prophets of God, even ther bible confirm this, in Mark 12:29 Jesus is reported to have said "The first of all commandment is hear or Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord" Beleive in one god ios the central message of Islam.

2)He prays like muslims pray see Mathew 26:39 "and he (Jesus) went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed,”
This is is self explanatory the only people who prostrate (fall on their faces) to God almighty today are muslims. Infact this is the iconic symbol of islam. Incidentally this the mode of worship of many biblical prophets too as follows:

MOSES AND AARON:
"then Moses and Aaron went away from the assaembly to the entrance of the tent and fell on their faces, "
(numbers 20:6)

ABRAHAM
"And Abram fell on his face,
(Genesis 17:3)

JOSHUA
", and Joshua fell on his face to the earth and did worship, "
(Joshua 5:14)

That Jesus is a muslim is not in doubt

3) He greets the muslim's way according to Luke 24:36 ie "peace be unto you' the Arabic translation is "Assalamu alaikum"
We Yoruba call it doba'le! Our people were cast out of the Promised Land for rejecting God. Check out the accounts of our history and you'ld notice that the Messiah (Yeshua/Ela not Jesus) is mentioned a lot. Similarly, the king lists from Oyo includes the names of the kings of Israel (see 2011 "Origin of the Yoruba and the 'Lost Tribes of Israel ", Anthropos 106, 1 (2011), 579-595).
"Peace be unto you" or "shalom" - the Yoruba say it somewhat rhetorically as "se alafia ni?"

Please refrain from judging her as she may have put in a lot of effort, and I speak from experience. After getting mmy first degree and working for a while I proceeded for a Masters in another land but could not conclude it as I had a barrage of allergies (autoimmune) from the first day. One of the symptoms was cognitive dysfunction (or impairment), simple arithmetic even appeared impossible at times whereas I used to enjoy calculus in high school and undergrad. Memorizing a line of text was something else, while lecturers thought I had some kind of learning difficulty. I thank God that I did not end up with multiple organ failure or worse. By the way I've had allergies since my days in elementary school.

Consequently, I've learnt that the person others might be seeing as a dunce could actually be having one or more medical issues to deal with that he/she is not aware of. It could be something in the diet that could be affecting such a person's cognition. Therefore we should thank God Most High for His grace in letting us achieve what we are able to while encouraging ourselves instead of looking down on ourselves.

Conventional and special, which group of sabbath is Sunday, that you've converted as sabbath and keep Holy.

Half a million Mac computers 'infected with malware'

https://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/59509000/jpg/_59509445_laptop.jpg
Dr Web says most infected computers are in the US

More than half a million Apple computers have been infected with the Flashback Trojan, according to a Russian anti-virus firm.

Its report claims that about 600,000 Macs have installed the malware - potentially allowing them to be hijacked and used as a "botnet".

The firm, Dr Web, says that more than half that number are based in the US.

Apple has released a security update, but users who have not installed the patch remain exposed.

Flashback was first detected last September when anti-virus researchers flagged up software masquerading itself as a Flash Player update. Once downloaded it deactivated some of the computer's security software.

Later versions of the malware exploited weaknesses in the Java programming language to allow the code to be installed from bogus sites without the user's permission.

Remote control
Dr Web said that once the Trojan was installed it sent a message to the intruder's control server with a unique ID to identify the infected machine.

"By introducing the code criminals are potentially able to control the machine," the firm's chief executive Boris Sharov told the BBC.

"We stress the word potential as we have never seen any malicious activity since we hijacked the botnet to take it out of criminals' hands. However, we know people create viruses to get money.

"The largest amounts of bots - based on the IP addresses we identified - are in the US, Canada, UK and Australia, so it appears to have targeted English-speaking people."

Dr Web also notes that 274 of the infected computers it detected appeared to be located in Cupertino, California - home to Apple's headquarters.

Update wait
Java's developer, Oracle, issued a fix to the vulnerability on 14 February, but this did not work on Macintoshes as Apple manages Java updates to its computers.

Apple released its own "security update" on Wednesday - more than eight weeks later. It can be triggered by clicking on the software update icon in the computer's system preferences panel.

The security firm F-Secure has also posted detailed instructions about how to confirm if a machine is infected and how to remove the Trojan.

Although Apple's system software limits the actions its computers can take without requesting their users' permission, some security analysts suggest this latest incident highlights the fact that the machines are not invulnerable.

"People used to say that Apple computers, unlike Windows PCs, can't ever be infected - but it's a myth," said Timur Tsoriev, an analyst at Kaspersky Lab.

Apple could not provide a statement at this time.

Pastor AIO: LOL! What do you mean not yet? Are you saying that you're not ready to die yet?
I have a lot to learn. Besides, there was a time in my life that, when it was morning I wished it was night and when it was night I wished it was morning. Then, a transition began to look tempting.

A Yoruba individual ought not to be afraid of death: we know that Ela has power over life and death; that He has the power to resurrect one from the dead; that He, with Life in Him, resurrected from the dead; that He is Oyigiyigi ota omi or Everlasting Rock or Rock of Ages; that a popular refrain among His followers is "Awa di oyigiyigi, a ki o ku wa" or we become eternal and die no more. Ela brings the kingdom of God here on earth.

At the time of judgement, people will account to Eleri Ipin for the use of their individual ipin - my understanding.

Christianity Etc › Re: Did Jesus Die On A Friday? by amor4ce(m):
The full day is evening first, then morning (Genesis 1:cool. That is, the day starts by 6pm and ends by the next 6pm. YEshua (not Jesus) was killed on a stake and his body placed in the tomb during the daytime of preparation day which is the day before Sabbath or 6pm thursday to 6pm friday. The Sabbath is from 6pm friday to 6pm saturday. Note also that certain festivals in Israel involved other Sabbaths apart from the weekly one, and if I remember correctly, allowing for such festival Sabbah to occur the following day after the weekly one (see Leviticus 23).

The days of the week matter because there is a time for everything and the Messiah had to fulfil the Scriptures at certain pre-appointed times. The feasts that the true believers ought to observe are the ones He gave to Israel, not Easter and the likes.

In Christianity today lawlessness abounds as the Sabbath is profaned with glee, even with many saying TGIF in preparation for play.

It is better you do the research yourself as the Son is described as the Light of men, and this Light is knowledge + wisdom + understanding, meaning that His Light gives us the capacity to discern the Truth rather than accept all the lies around us hook, line and sinker.

A good place to check is the Peshitta as I referred to in my previous post.
You can look at these links on this webpage.
Note that the first true believers were killed as recorded in the pre-crime report of Zechariah 13:7-9 and the religion that spread out from Rome, including the schisms, is fake. I will soon discuss this on my blog.

If you like, keep saying "in Jesus' name". If you like, call on the Son's true name. It is your choice.

Have you sought to know why it is that compared to the old testament there are strange names in the new testament?
