Shut up liar |
The church of God does not receive tithe. All those collecting tithes are liars and robbers and they obey no one but their father, the devil. |
If that's the "prophet" above, I wont be surprised if he is indeed guilty. People engulfed in materialism can do anything. Tares everywhere. |
I dislike this phrase "make heaven" with passion. Users always think they have the will/choice/power/whatever to "make heaven" yuck! |
Wilgrea7:I am not a fan of false teachers like the above mentioned |
analice107:Naaaaaah you ain't a Calvinist. Just own up. And admit your stance. If you were honest, you will know in the original thread there were just more than enough proofs and witnesses to verify. And their WOF doctrines match with scriptures for you? Supporting robbers is enough to tell where you belong. Can light oppose light? never |
"What we call the Gospel is a doctrine which is not at all in us by nature, but which is revealed from Heaven and totally surpasses natural knowledge." _Theodore Beza |

LOOK AT THE GOSPEL AGAIN _OUR SUBSTITUTE WHAT DID OUR SUBSTITUTE DO? Long before the law was given by Moses, our whole race fell when Adam fell in the garden of Eden. Adam, a representative man, sinned against God and in him “all sinned.” (Rom. 5:12) This is why “death reigned from Adam to Moses.” But the penalty for sin against God is far more than physical death. Sin cannot be reversed, it must be punished. The penalty God requires for sin is death, a death that will satisfy divine justice. “Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” (Ezekiel 18:4) “For the wages of sin is death...” (Rom. 6:23) That penalty must be paid. It cannot be paid by a sinner but requires the death of a sinless sacrifice. Every picture in the Old Testament sacrifices shows this. Christ, if He be that “one sacrifice for sins forever,” must be such. If He be our Substitute, He must do the one thing God could not do from heaven, He must die. If you think of all that God did, can do and does from heaven, the one thing necessary to our salvation He could not do which is to die in our place. To do this He must become a man, take upon Himself a body and in that perfect body die as the Substitute for His sheep. “I lay down my life for the sheep.” Our death can only be because of our sin. His death as One who knew no sin, is for sin. We are not called upon to try and enter into the depths of His sufferings. How could we who have known nothing but sin enter into the sufferings of Him who never knew sin? No, we are simply called upon to look to His death. To rest in what He accomplished for us as our Substitute. If He died for me the death required for my sin, I don’t have to die. All He suffered, I do not know but I know He suffered all that was due me. My Substitute died in my place and I am a participant in His sufferings not because of what I feel about them but because God in grace views me “in Christ.” When He died for my sin, I died to sin. His death is the source of my life. This is the gospel emphasis: “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” (Romans 8:34) Christ “died for the ungodly.” God commeneth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. We were “justified by His blood.” We were “reconciled to God by the death of His Son.” I don’t expect to ever know the fulness of my Substitute’s sufferings or be able to feel the depth of His agonies. But this is know because God has declared it, Christ my Substitute died in my place! “I need no other argument, I need no other plea, It is enough that Jesus died, And that He died for me.” ~ pastor Gary Shepard |
WE NEED DIVINE ASSURANCE Uncertainty as to our relationship with God is one of the most enfeebling and dispiriting of things. It makes a man heartless. It takes the pith out of him. He cannot fight; he cannot run. He is easily dismayed and gives way. He can do nothing for God. But when we know that we are of God, we are vigorous, brave, invincible. There is no more quickening truth than this of assurance. No man can quench his thirst with sand, or with water from the Dead Sea; so no man can find rest from his own character, however good, or from his own acts, however religious. Upon a life I did not live, upon a death I did not die; anothers life, anothers death, I stake my whole eternity... _Horatius Bonar |
He who comes (to God) as partly righteous is sent empty away. He who comes acknowledging (his own) unrighteousness, but at the same time trying to neutralize it or expiate it by feelings, and prayers, and tears, is equally rejected. But he who comes as an unrighteous man to a righteous yet gracious God, finds not only ready access, but plenteous (redemption and) blessing. The righteous God receives unrighteous men, if man presents himself in his own true character as a sinner, and does not mock God by pretending to be something less or better than this... _Horatius Bonar

IT IS BY FAITH THAT WE RECEIVE POWER TO LIVE IN OBEDIENCE. Believers have been baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ and into the church, the body of all true believers. Having been thus united to Christ, believers share in His death, burial, and resurrection. Paul could therefore write, I have been crucified with Christ (lit., I have been and am now crucified with Christ). This brought an end to the Law. It also brought a change in regard to ones self: ...and I no longer live. The self-righteous, self-centered Saul died/u]. Further, death with Christ ended Pauls enthronement of self; he yielded the throne of his life to Another, to Christ. But it was not in his own strength that Paul was able to live the Christian life; the living Christ Himself took up His abode in Pauls heart: ... Christ lives in me. Yet Christ does not operate automatically in a believers life; [u]it is a matter of living the new life by faith in the Son of God. It is then faith and not works or legal obedience that releases divine power to live a Christian life. This faith, stated Paul, builds on the sacrifice of Christ who loved us and gave Himself for us. In essence Paul affirmed, If He loved me enough to give Himself for me, then He loves me enough to live out His life in me......Matthew Poole |
ALL THE SINS OF GOD'S CHILD ARE NOT PAID FOR PROGRESSIVELY BUT ONCE AND FOR ALL. _ONE DEATH FOR ALL SINS, ONE DEATH FOR EVER. The justification of a sinner is instantaneous and complete. . . . It is an all-comprehending act of God. All the sins of a believer, past, present, and future, are pardoned when he is justified. The sum-total of his sin, all of which is before the Divine eye at the instant when God pronounces him a justified person, is blotted out or covered over by one act of God. Consequently, there is no repetition in the Divine mind of the act of justification; as there is no repetition of the atoning death of Christ, upon which it rests.” – William G. T. Shedd, Dogmatic Theology, Volume 2 (New York: Scribner’s, 1891) |
THE GOSPEL AFTER BELIEVING "The Gospel exposes and removes the ungodly principle of obedience motivated by legal fear of punishment and/or mercenary promises of earned reward(s). When God the Holy Spirit imparts life and faith to God's elect, He replaces legal motives with the godly motives of grace, love, and gratitude. Believers still have to fight this ungodly legalism that remains in the flesh, but unbelievers (even false Christians) do not fight it. They promote it and accuse believers of being antinomians. True believers repent of what legalists boast in." _Bill Parker. |
SANCTIFICATION BY GRACE Suppose you could make a little “progress” in sanctification. Where would you be? Still far, far away from what God in His holiness could accept! There are no degrees in the standard of holiness, righteousness and perfection God requires. No, we grow in grace and that mostly in seeing our utter need for grace and to be saved by grace. We grow in seeing that all grace is in Christ which means that all righteousness is in Him. We need Him and His work for us. The only righteousness we will have is that righteousness which God in grace imputes to us which is His righteousness. He is the “Lord our righteousness” and we are “made the righteousness of God in Him.” And what would we do if we were to make a little “progress?” Just what men do when they think they have which is to be boastful, proud and despising of others! “Where is boasting then? It is excluded” say Paul in Romans 3. The truth is very plain and simple, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord ” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31) _ Gary Shepard

Though they (God's elect) be justified by a righteousness wrought out by Christ, yet many think that they must be sanctified by a holiness wrought out by themselves. And though, out of humility they are willing to call it "infused grace", yet they think they must get the infusion of it by the same manner of working, as if it were wholly acquired by their endeavours... On this account they acknowledge the entrance into a godly life to be harsh and unpleasing, because it costs so much struggling with their own hearts and affections...etc. _Walter Marshall - 1887

I have never seen a Christian that trusts in the completed work of Christ do that. Its not even possible to fear anybody anymore since God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2Timothy 1:7 We have the strength and power of God to bear all our afflictions, endure contradictory views and still stand firm by the truth we have believed. Rather the only timid "Christians" I see are those trusting in their good works to earn God's righteousness. Its a sad thing because you don't get to experience any power of the God you claim to believe. It's a life of struggle and no joy. No grace to withstand opposing views. All you get from self righteousness is uncertainty and when atheists throw questions, because you have no life or power of God in you, you begin to fear lest your heart succumb to atheism No Christian should live in fear. That's why we must search and tell ourselves the truth. If Christ is not in us, we know ourselves, then we are no better than atheists who do not believe |
All glory to God!!! |
Tallesty1:She is on point but she got the term wrong. It's God's SOVEREIGNTY not partiality |
hahn: Well I have replied him accordingly |
Tallesty1:And Paul's audience needed it for what? Paul was speaking to people under the new covenant (who have been saved by God's grace through faith) doesn't that suggest there is a relationship with the scripture quoted and the status of the people he was addressing? Why reference something that has no relevance at the present time? Something as simple as God being sovereign should not be taken literally? o yeah, but we should complicate it so people can continue in false gospels! I group people who ask this question into two categories.@bold What do you mean by God owing nothing he hasnt given? Are you saying God owed men and was free from debt when he started given? You are right about the groups of people that ask these questions but there is another group which you are failing to acknowledge; ~Lovers of truth: It is the love for Christ and a heart desire to seek only God's glory that can push someone to ask questions like this. In short questions like these should not be discouraged because the cause us to search the scriptures for truth-which is a good thing! That is a lie.Tallesty can you provide scripture that back up this claim of yours because it is very costly. No where in the bible was it said that "the majority choose evil" instead the Bible categorically states that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.Romans 3:23 And there is none that seeks after God, not even one! Romans 3:11 True that God sent his son to redeem us but this condition for redemption is not the work of man but the work of God Jonah 2:9 Psalm 40:2. It is God's work alone to quicken us who are dead in trespasses and sins. Eph2:1,2 Not you and him but him alone. Vs 8 says by grace through faith are we saved, and not of yourselves but it is a gift. The faith to believe and salvation as a whole were referred to as gifts. Faith (saving faith)is a good work or response that cannot emanate from sinful men because none can do good except God instead it is given by God and comes by hearing the word. Romans 10:17 And when it is given to a man, he automatically responds and becomes saved. He doesn't choose to respond, the grace and power that comes with salvation is enough to change his will. In the day of God's power His people will be made willing. Psalm 110:3 God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son , much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.Amen to this. @colored. Take note. WE WERE RECONCILED TO GOD BY THE DEATH OF HIS SON Did you see that? Christ death was what reconciled us to God not our choice. So when were we reconciled back to God? some 2 thousand years ago!! That was when our salvation was secured!!!! That was when God put an end to the judgement of sin for all those Christ died for. God is not inputting sin into those whom Christ died, He is in time, inputting the righteousness of Jesus into us. If God should judge us for sin which Christ has paid for with His blood, He would be unjust! Christ took our sin, we take his righteousness. 2Corinthians 5:21 We are all his children and that is why he encourages us to come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. This is for those who are born again. And have the spirit of Christ in them. They can now approach the throne of grace boldly because the high priest has taken that away which stood on the way(sin and it's curse) with one sacrifice for ever! Hebrews 10:12 There's no selection or discrimination against anybody here.O yes there is. God is the one that chooses not men John 15:16 Just come...... but our sins and self condemnation makes unconfident. This is how you speak when you don't rightly divide the word, you just read your opinion into scripture. Whether you want to believe it or not, many people were chosen unto salvation. Acts 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed 2Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth Nothing can take God by surprise. Everything that is is because He wills them Judas was a thief first before becoming a traitor and he never asked for forgiveness rather he chose to self terminate unlike Peter who wept uncontrollably. The Bible said Judas is a son of perdition. John 17:12 Peter when calling for his replacement said he had gone to his place. Acts 1:25 Judas was predestined to betray Christ. He was never saved to start with. On the other hand, Peter was not better than Judas in anyway. If God had dealt with Peter the way he did Judas, he would be in hell too But God's mercy prevailed for Peter. You don't know how serious Saul's offenses were.Does this story nullify God's sovereignty? This is a very ridiculous assertion." I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I WILL.. that does not sound like everyone's birthright. Even Job despite his troubles acknowledged in Job 34:19 thatTrue but you must agree with the Bible that God has men in all races, classes, sects. And his sheep are scattered abroad? God loves everyone of us because every human being is created in His image John 3:16. Those he shows mercy or chooses are worthy of the assignment.I pray I open a thread about John 3:16 soon God helping me so you can see how cherry picking scripture can only lead to confusion and "contradictions" John 3:16 isn't talking about every single being at all but the elect of God. Remember scripture must reconcile with scripture. Let's assume that he decides to show you mercy now(ie chose you for a particular mission) Will you be able to handle the mantle of responsibility that he will place on your shoulders?God's sovereign choice is not limited to specific assignments but they are centred on reconciling men back to Himself. God's choice is not dependent on man's worthiness but on His determinate counsel. God's choice were made before the foundation of the world and if they are based on who deserves to be chosen or not that means we existed before God. But that's a lie. Take Mary for another example, God showed him mercy so he was chosen to be the mother of the Messiah. He had to flee and go exile because the king wanted to kill Jesus. last last, a sword pierced her soul/ even though he was shown mercy.Sorry? These are the ones I look on with favor says the Lord : those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. God wants to show us all His favor, but in His sovereign knowledge, He chooses some for special assignment and blessing. So where does the humble and contrite spirit come from? Our wicked hearts? And who/what is our hope of glory? Christ in us or our obedience? The Bible is clear on this.Luck? Is this world being run by God or fate? Are you saying somethings are out of God's control and are caused by some force somewhere? “For a certainty,” said Peter, “I perceive that God is not partial.”@colored, rewarded with what? Meanwhile, Peter was talking about God not discriminating people based on nationality, race or class. But the one that does righteousness is acceptable to Him. Question is who are those that do this righteousness? Picture this scenario, a man employed labourers to work in his farm. The agreement is that he will pay them 20k by the end of the day.@bold remember no one can come except he is drawn by the Father. |
Yes God is not partial or unjust but this is a ridiculous explanation. Even before opening the thread I knew it would be a mess |
snowblaq:LMAO That's what I know too! |
analice107:Lol I use to have his sermon audios including the sovereignty of God. They really blessed my soul! But what do you mean by "Calvinist naturally" You were born like that you mean? |
The average Nigerian and world citizen has been deceived into serving another "Jesus" that is not the Jesus of the bible. This false jesus has made so many promises and offers he cannot fulfill except the beneficiaries are willing to "accept " and "part with their monies" Even when all these are done, he is still not capable of securing anything for his subjects. They are captives of sins and prisoners of their greed. They have no hope after this life and that's why they seek their best lives now. These false jesus has got millions of ministers who have been deceived and are set on deceiving others. They preach nothing but distortions of the true gospel that has turned people twice the sons of hell. Fake jesus has no power to secure the salvation of those he claims to have died for. He is powerless and the only thing he does is "knock at the hearts" of spiritually dead people and pleads with them to let him in. But is that possible? hell no! a dead man can't hear or see or open his heart! False Jesus tells people to expect the best now. And deceives them into paying tithes (that have been abolished alongside other commandments) to his ministers. This false jesus is a liar, killer and destroyer.

Have you no faith! Have you got a heart full of hatred for God! Have you no rest. Have you no love for us who have believed! May God help your helplessness and unbelief. |
