To be frank, am enjoying this Kalabari thread. Well done guys.
But why is the Ijaw thread so stagnant that even Itsekiri, Isoko etc has more traffic on them. Is there actually anything like the Ijaw language. The proud Kalabaris have demonstrated that they are on their own and can be on their own without anyone identifying them as Ijaw.

You may be right, yet credit to Abians for originating it. Okonko in Isinweke has its roots from Umuahia.

@Abagworo, the entire Ika people should be in the proposed Igbo state-Anioma. Igbodo, Akumazi, Ekwuoma are too pro Igbo. Though there are some variants in Agbor, but majority are Igbo inclined.
Some time in 2008, Agbor Union in the U.K had a questionare about whom they think they are. 65% said Igbo, 20% said sort of, while 15% said they are not Igbo.

Ijebu is the Ikwerre of Igbo language/land.

Ndigbo do not claim they own the entire Port Harcourt. A very large chunk of Port Harcourt is Ikwerreland and this Ikwerre people are Igbo by nature. On Bonny and Opobo, there are Igbo elements there. The truth is that you Ijaw do not want anything Igbo to be associated with Bonny and Opobo. Also, you Ijaw do not want Ikwerre to be seen as Igbo. You Ijaw people prefer Igbo to be reduced to only the south east. Even some of the photographs of the Ikwerre wedding you have been posting in this thread can attest to that. You labelled it Ikwerre instead of Igbo just as it will suit you Ijaw people.

Cameroon can be compared to Russia that is in Europe and Asia. Though politically and culturally Russia is in Europe, some parts of Russia fall under Asia. Western Cameroun is west African in nature. I will not be surprised one day to see that Western Cameroon has joined ECOWAS just as Cameroun has joined the Commonwealth.
I will not be surprised if the West of Cameroon pushes for unification with their Igbo and Eastern Nigerian neighbours and kins.

Dialects disappearing has nothing to do with the Igbo. The Igbo language is primed in a way that dialects are still strong in their bases and their peoples. The Nkwerre, Ikwerre, Igberre, Nsukka, Mbaise, Ogwashi, Afikpo,NNewi etc are all strong despite the fact that their is a central Igbo language.
The Hausa and Yoruba dialects are more affected in this instance than the Igbo dialects.

He wasn't there with his Chelsea mates during the pre-season and that has made him not to have blended with the team. Give him a chance as I believe he will blend, gel and stick in the team.
