GUYS, no need crying over a spoilt milk. We lost an away match to a team so deadly at home at the moment, they have also beating Barcelona and Man city recently. There are some positives to take home and areas to inprove upon. 1. Our ability to keep possession away from home and not loosing ball so easily. 2. Mata should play behind the top one or top two. Ashley and Bosingwa needs support from opposing wingers. Meireless should play the roving midfield role instead of defensive midfield role. Above all, no hope lost yet. |
Madrid have just lost by 1 nil. |
His son is in position to replace him. Sir Alex hasn't gone yet because he is still waiting for his son to be prepared to take over from him. |
Chelsea line up today: CECH BOSINGWA. COLE. RAMIRES TERRY. IVANOVIC STURRIDGE MEIRELESS. ANELKA LAMPARD MATA. |
afam4eva:Yagba is one of the numerous dialects of the Okun ethnic nationality in Kogi state. |
Cech and David Luiz available for selection this week. Chelsea fans, possible line ups please. |
coogar:Andrew Uwe is not same as Andre Uweh. It is too early to judge. By this time last season, Blackpool were in the 4th position. Man U will struggle when the pressure starts coming unless Scholes and VDS are replaced. Secondly, no recognised right back and there midfield is just average. You don't win with those average or below average midfielders. Imagine carick, Anderson, Flether etc, not even good for their respective national teams. In the past, I use to think you know footie, but now I realise you know nothing. No offense intended. |
Why is this beautiful thread not in the culture section?. MODS, over to you. |
coogar:What a load of rubbish above. Man U will be the club that will finish third. Their inability to replace Scholes with Shneider and Van Der Sar is yet to be replaced so far will really hamper their progress. Watch out. |

My name is Andrew. Sadly, the name is in all my certificates. |
Lax75:Thank you and Godbless. I once lived in Abeokuta, visited Olumo rock several times and has been to the cultural centre in Omida, Abeokuta to read more about the Egbas. Great people. |
ritchboy:Did Man U bring in any top top player before they won the league last season?. My guy, it doesn't work out that way. |
Ibime:Figueroa operates from the left wing while Van Aanholt is a left full back. He played so well for the Chelsea reserves recently. |
whether i am kanuri or edo or yoruba does not really matter. i have igbo blood in me that said i did not insult ohaneze but saying what u said may not sit well with others don't u think so?
The truth always hurts. |
sorry can you elaborate on the highlighted part does that mean u and i are part of ohaneze ? lol
Am not sure you are Igbo. I think you are Kanuri, but thousands say you are Yoruba. For those who are Igbo, they are automatically members of Ohanaeze. You insult Ohanaeze means you have insulted your father and yourself. Please Ndigbo, once again, RESPECT. |
Forget what you read here. Ndigbo and Yorubas are good friends and there are no hostilities between the duo. Nairaland is a forum that was started by Yorubas. To attract attention, Ndigbo became their target. Most times, Ndigbo are just defensive in their posts. The constant attack of Ndigbo further led to the emergence of some militant Igbo posters such as Sunny BOBO, Mekusxxx, Mekuslogan, Nchara, Ezeuche, Chino etc. Some of this guys have been banned parmanently while their Yoruba counterparts such as Ileke IDI, Desola, Seanet, Blue.t etc are all around. |
My point here is that it is wrong for people to chastise Ohanaeze for no just cause. Forget about what Lagos, Abuja, Anambra etc branches of Ohanaeze says, what matters most is what comes out of No 7 park Avenue Enugu. In this case, they have never issued any communique on state creations. As you will not be happy if someone insults your father, so will Igbo people not feel happy if Ohanaeze is insulted. Someone asked if am a member of Ohanaeze. I am just like any other Igbo. Once you are born Igbo, you are automatically a member of Ohanaeze. You can not run away from it. My brothers, respect. |
While most Igbo communities celebrate Iri Ji between August-November, the people of Etiti (Obowu, Isinweke) and Nsu celebrates Mbom Uzo. Mbom Uzo means clearing road ceremony. During this ceremony, age grades converge at the market squares to dance, sing, march and do all sorts of things you see recently in carnivals. Notable communities that practice Ibo Uzo includes: Umuihi, Amakohia, Amainyi Ukwu, Umuezegwu, Umuawuchi, Umuezegwu etc.

Ndi Igbo (Ndigbo)---Igbo people. |
dare2think:There were bids from Chelsea then but Ath. Madrid wasn't prepared to do any business even at any price. While we were making bids upon bids, the same Aguero was featured against us in Champions league. |
ADADA, Ahaha,i dey laff! Anioma and Njaba are the most viable proposed states.
I agree with you in totality. But the Ime Obi of the Ohanaeze has not at any time sat over this issue. It is very wrong for some guys here to be chatting crap about Ohanaeze. Give me Anioma anyday followed by Njaba. |
To all the moronss here attacking Ohanaeze, you are all wrong. It is a pity a lot of Igbo people here do not know what is Ohanaeze and what Ohanaeze stands for. If a branch of Ohanaeze demands for a state creation within its locality does not warrant idiotic comments from all and sundry. Ohanaeze is the Apex Igbo socio cultural organisation currently led by Amb Ralph. Chukwu. Uwechue. This body since 1991 has not demanded for state creations in Igboland. The last time Ohanaeze demanded for state creations in Igboland was in 1991. The Ohanaeze delegation that demanded for states then was led by the late Akanu Ibiam. The states they demanded for were Abia, Wawa (Enugu) and Anioma. At the moment, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo has not deliberated on state creations but individual Ohanaeze executives has clamoured for the creation of Anioma state to be zoned to the south east. Guys, stop all this imbecilic attack on our apex Igbo organisation-Ohanaeze. |

We can not sale Torres for now. He will do well this season. He has not been missing chances upon chances. The problem is that no one so far has been able to create the chances for him or supply him with the needed passes. Benayoun would have been doing that but he doesn't get selected. For the last two premier league matches hes has played, he has not been able to get passes in the box. The only cross he got was when Mata came on. Whoever replaces Torres will still struggle if he is starved of passes and crosses from mates. |
modern day igbo lady.

nateevs:Am sure he will be a good addition to the squad. Watch him below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USUtxUW_QrI |
^^^I know you mean well for Chelsea, but Lass is not that player Chelsea lacks. If Chelsea requires a player from Madrid, then it has to be Kaka. I saw him this night as he came in and got on the scorers sheet. He can be deployed to play behind two strikers as Andre V.B played yesterday. |
Lass Diara who has never estabished himself anywhere should not be a Chelsea target. What did he do at Chelsea or Arsenal and now at Madrid?. Fellaini at Everton will do for me than Lass. |
http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/1026/79/chelsea-agree-deal-van-der-wiel-reports With Bosingwa's performance against West B and Norwich, I do not think we need another right wing back. |
lovely culture. God bless ndigbo also i can see gele and cap (fi la abe eti aja) which is usually common in the yoruba culture i love the the way nigeria cultures are mixing up
You are right. The Igbo culture has incorporated some aspects of Yoruba, Ijo and Bini cultures. Other cultures are incorporating Igbo ways of life in their own systems as well. For example, some Yoruba musicians now sing songs in Igbo or have a mixture of Igbo in their songs. Notable examples are D-Banj and Midnight crew ''Igwe'' songs. |
One of the marvelous cultures of Ndigbo is being exhibited in Traditional Igbo marriage called Igba Nkwu. And in some places , it is called Ibu mmaya, Ipa Mmanya or Ihe Nrisa as in my part of Igboland (Isinweke, Obowu, Nsu).
