agaugust: it shows how easy it is to fool all south africans with fake photos, we nigerians are more intelligent than you all cheesy shocked grin tongue

.
So now you saying your media fakes photos, and they can not be trusted with any thing, or does your army lie and give them fake information. Both shows we can no trusted any thing from any nigerian media sources ever again so you choose is it your media or milltary. Then say why you think so.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 11:12am On Nov 02, 2013
agaugust: even you knows that photo is NOT a nigerian army APC, we dont have that type in the army grin

or is that a Cobra/VBL/BTR-3U/STEYR ? reason why we call you a navy cook/chef...fool grin

your media said it is army, so please go talk to them, and it was stolen from a army barracks. May the police kept it there or the army used police APC for whatever reason? That is not really the issue. The point is APC stolen from army went on joy ride got stopped at mobil police base. Unless you saying that the info can not be trusted then in that case we can not trust any nigerian press releases from the north.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 11:08am On Nov 02, 2013
agaugust: that is a nigerian Police APC. fool grin

nigerian army APC is either Cobra, VBL, MOWAG, Steyr, BTR- Series....not that police anti-riot/robbery APC in the photo.

all the men around the burnt APC are policemen...not army

boko haram is 10 times better armed than nigerian police, boko carries anti-armour rocket launchers and anti-aircraft guns, nigerian police only has rifles meant to fight criminals, so why wont boko haram defeat any army in the world ? american army too has no weapons to match boko haram.

newspaper journalists are more intelligent than you 33% south african brains, so they fool you around with wrong photos grin

.
A nigerian news papers is calling it a army personal carrier, it should be armoured but hey they journalists
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 11:00am On Nov 02, 2013
agaugust: boko haram stole nigerian APC and they drove it away, but the photo shows a burnt out unmovable APC.

how does a thief steal and drive/joy ride a burnt out vehicle that has no tyres and engine working?

does your brain work ? grin

.
please read the sequence of event that i posted, it was stolen from a army barracks and knocked out after destroying a few police buildings and attacking a mobile police base. Joy rides end in the vehicle being abandoned and/or destroyed hence i used that term.

agaugust: nigeria too has ground based radars to support F-7 jet.

Hawk jet is subsonic speed tariner/ground attack jet and CANNOT challenge F-7 jet interceptor in the air...that is suicide grin

A-darta missile is NOT yet in service as at today. Nigeria too has new weapons coming from China and India, missiles included.

an old south african BVR missile e.g R-Darta will NOT wok on a Gripen jet, even the modern south african Umbani guided bomb CANNOT work on Gripen jet.

stop trying to deceive us on the forum, we are no longer on pages 1 to 12, nigerians have too much information/facts now about the fake capabilities of south african weapons that exist only inside photos and videos, now we have seen pretoria's n..a..k..e..d A..S..S grin

.
yes but do they share there data directly to the J7, has i said will need to physically tell the pilot.

never said the hawk would, only that it can share information.

i said Isrt or A-darter, the a-darter has been certified and is only waiting on the factory to be set up, the gripen could fly with pre production models if need be.

no they can work, just they have not been set up for it, the set up is costly and takes a few months, but there is nothing stoping them from being fitted.

why dont you go to church and ask god why he made you a retard.

you can get more from @CraigB's posts done in the past 3 months.

throw us a stone, we retaliate and throw you a rock 3 times bigger, that is nigeria for you.

.
i was actually pointing out BH is not mounting a full scale war, showing the only time they used a APC was when they stole one and then i used the term joy ride showing them to be nothing more than common criminals stealing and vandalising.

agaugust: south african army is fighting in Congo DRC under protection of Tanzanian army, and many other armies from about 15 countries of the world including Europe and Asia, that is why south african army agreed to fight in Congo DRC....they hide behind the courageous armies from other countries sent by the UN.

south african military in its modern history has NEVER fought and won any war alone cheesy shocked grin tongue kiss

....a bunch of soweto cowards afraid to die, yet collecting monthly salary only for wearing SANDF army uniforms and posing for @THIZA's nice photos !

only 3 countries are part of the FIB and each country has there own sector, the tanzanian general and brazilian general both sit in goma far from the front, The south africans who stay 2km behind FARDC report to there force comander has do each of the 3 battluions. they then report to the brigade HQ run by tanzania. Over all this has been explianed to you in much more detail but your brain is to small to grasp theses facts it seems
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 10:31am On Nov 02, 2013
agaugust: south african Gripen jet has NO long range missile, NO single beyond visual range air to air missile.... BVRAAM

the F-7 jet and the Gripen jet pilots both have only visual range missiles and will be within close-in radar and visual range of each other...and F-7 jet PL-9C missile has 90% chance of hitting target.

"The single-shot hit probability for a single PL-9C missile launch at an approaching target is 90%"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PL-9

.
since the radar is forward facing if a gripen gets behind a the J7s they will not know what is going on, the gripen can even share info with a another gripen so they will be able to fly with their radars off and ECM on full. then using targeting data from the other gripen, ground based radar or hawk fire a A-darter or ISRT.

Even if the another radar source pics up the the attacking gripen they will have to communicate over radio than can either be jammed or evesed dropped on.

That 90% is before the target starts trying not to get hit, and has i said we know the limitations and how it thinks.

Has for BVR, SAAF does still have a few BVRms in storage and they not to old, they were never fitted since we felt it would be a waist to integrate them only to replace them once we get a new BVRm. Even so it is not beyond the realm of possibility to arm R darters on the gripen. SAAF is looking at both the meteor and marvin BVRM and using similar methods has used on the umkhonto it would be posibil to get up to 30km from a A darter. Basically we can get BVRs given enough preparations.

agaugust: F-7 jet = Beetle Car with working engine = Living Dog

Gripen jet = BMW M5 car with engine trouble = Dead Lion

my Bible tells me...

Ecclesiastes 9:4-5 (King James Version)

"For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion. "

.
we all so have has many gripens ready at any time has you have F7s total, meaning we have not included a maintaince cycle for your Fzs and we all ready have more read to fly fighters.

* July 2012: Recruit NR Ngcobo shoots herself.

agaugust: F-7 jet is NOT the same as any MiG 21 jet. fact proved above.

F-7 jet is superior to ALL MiG 21 jets, even the MiG Lancer that carries NATO standard missiles and avionics has the old delta shaped wing and CANNOT do the combat maneuvers of nigerian F-7 jet that has the new swept wing for improved air to air and air to ground combat maneuver.

go sit down men ! nigerian F-7 jet PL-9C missile will shoot down south african Gripen jet when they meet in the air. south africa does NOT have any air -superiority over nigeria, you soweto fraudsters were just deceiving us from pages 1 to 800 of this forum. FACT !!!

.
I never said they were 100% the same only a J7 is no better than a Mig21 lancer and they are no better.

No all your PL9cs will miss, has i said uses the seeker head from a python 3 we have those seeker heads. We know all your limitations, no to mention the radar and EW systems of the gripen far exceed those of a J7. Your J7 will not even know they under attack when they start blowing up.

SANDF, union trade blows over soldier’s death

Cape Town - A shocking 11 recruits have died at the Oudtshoorn infantry school in the past three years - a death rate even higher than that at Guantanamo Bay, the notorious US military prison in Cuba where authorities have long been accused of torture and abuse.

Three of the deaths were the result of suicides, it has emerged, amidst allegations that soldiers are burnt with cigarette lighters, that women recruits are kicked by male instructors, and that pregnant soldiers are humiliated by superiors.

In the seven years before mid-2010, a further five recruits had died, according to documents presented to members of Parliament’s defence oversight committee during a recent visit to the military base.

SA National Defence Union spokesman Pikkie Greeff said: “More soldiers have died in that base (in the past three years) than prisoners have died in Guantanamo Bay over the same period.”

The Oudtshoorn base has long been plagued by reports of abuse, with the most recent incident involving a soldier who allegedly froze to death while on guard duty earlier this month.

Western Cape police spokeswoman Captain Bernadine Steyn said this week that samples from the autopsy were still being analysed for a report.

Meanwhile, military ombudsman General Themba Matanzima has produced a preliminary report on instruction by Defence Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula to investigate allegations of abuse.

He said a final report would be ready in the next few weeks, but he expected the minister to ask him to launch another investigation covering the previous three years to “deal with the backlog”.

According to a briefing document given to MPs, Mapisa-Nqakula was forced to order further investigations because the unit’s own boards of inquiry had been unable to conduct “quality and conclusive investigations”.

Mapisa-Nqakula’s spokesman, Siphiwe Dlamini, said it was the minister’s right to ask the military to “dig deeper” if she wasn’t satisfied.

But he said each death had to be dealt with on a “case-by-case” basis.

“We can’t just say because it has happened in Oudtshoorn there is a special problem.”

The preliminary ombudsman’s report had been sent to the chief of the SANDF for action.

DA spokesman on defence David Maynier said he was “deeply concerned” and called for Matanzima’s report to be completed as soon as possible.

This comes after the mother of a soldier stationed in Oudtshoorn wrote a letter to the defence union complaining of conditions.

The union said one of the pregnant women allegedly humiliated by her superiors had committed suicide. But this had been denied by the SANDF.

The union also said a recruit had been hospitalised “with a prognosis of permanent injury to his shoulder after being beaten with broomsticks during a punitive physical exercise”.

The union has alleged that the training session was halted earlier this year because medics feared the recruits would die. Several reportedly required medical treatment, and all their cellphones were confiscated to prevent the leaking of pictures.

The total death toll for the past 10 years has risen to 16. The three suicides all occurred between 2011 and last year.

Greeff said the commanding officers had created “a culture of fear… everybody’s just too damn scared to do anything”.

He said no one had ever been held accountable for the deaths.

by the way, south african $55 billion foreign reserve is almost totally swallowed up by south african $50 billion foreign debt, south africa's over-rated economy is very weak in real accounting terms....reason your air force is cash starved and jets/helicopters are mostly grounded.....they only fly inside @THIZA's nairaland photos grin

For some one who claims to have a degree in Accounting you really do not under stand economics. Our foreign reserves and debt are not related, debt payment comes from the budget.

regardless our economy is still growing unlike your your federal government we not running out of cash. I have to wonder how Nigerians think there economy is stronger. When you have population 3 times bigger. Meaning to just match us you need to have a economy 3 times stronger than us. And when we spend more on education than while you spend.

Nigerians are living in a fantasy dream land. I wonder what will happen to our debt once we get access to our karoo gas.

they way you think sometimes make me wonder....and wonder !

2 weeks war game of Gripen jet users with Sweden, Hungary, Czech republic, and Thailand...all those countries have zero modern air to air jet combat experience against any nations air force in real life war.....south africa was playing games with in-experienced pilots who have never shot down a bird .....bat or dove in all their lives grin

one year and even more of Nigerian air force F-7 jet pilots flying regularly in combat war drills with Pakistani air force jet fighter pilots and getting ALL the air to air and air to ground jet fighter/bomber skills from Pakistan that has world class air force vs air force real life war experience against the mighty Indian air force in war of 1965 and 1971....

your brain cannot think out which is better, 2 weeks with some in-experienced Gripen pilots or 1 whole year with highly experienced F-7 pilots of Pakistan...nigerian air force is still one of the best in Africa in terms of pilots combat skills and air to air missiles arsenal.

agaugust: hahaha grin

you still proved my points to be correct. umkhonto missile is ONLY tested and ONLY effective against aircraft or slow flying cruise missiles all in the air above the warship, NOT against a sea water skimming or hugging anti-ship missile like nigerian NNS Aradu Otomat anti-shi missile.

the sea skua test was umkhonto against a air flying drone aircraft, the banshee test in finland was also against an air flying drone aircraft.

"Banshee entered service with the British Army in the mid-1980s as an aerial target for the Short Blowpipe and Javelin shoulder launched anti-aircraft missiles"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meggitt_Banshee

my friend, get this into your head finally and finally, no missile developer with aim of using a missile to stop and anti-ship missile, will design that missile in vertical cell to first fly upwards in a wasted journey like the children of israel in the wilderness, then the defensive missile will start turning upside down again to come back to face the very ship that launched it and try save the ship from a sea water surface hugging Otomat anti-ship missile....use your head even if you dont like to do so, just try once in a while to think like a man that went to school, even if it was a soweto village classroom grin

see, nobody in the world has been able to stop an exocet anti-ship missile, reason why Argentina used it to sink a powerful British navy destroyer warship that has all the missile, electronic jamming, and heavy/light gun defenses in the world during falklands war. also American navy purchased Otomat anti-ship missile and tested it against US NAVY warships but the Otomat missile defeated ALL marican navy missile defences, then the whole world knew that NOBODY can stop and Otomat missile the messenger of death from NNS Aradu.

both DENEL and south african navy tested fired exocet missiles and umkhonto missiles SEPARATELY AGAINST DIFFERENT TARGETS but not against each other because DENEL was NOT bold enough to test umkhonto to stop a sea skimming exocet anti-ship missile because they know IT WILL FAIL and spoil their marketing over-rating business stragtegy grin

unkhonto missile CANNOT stop NNS Aradu Otomat sea water surface hugging/skimming anti-ship missile, nigerian navy will sink all south african navy warships from longer range 80km-180km. FACT PROVED 100 TIMES ON THIS FORUM.

.
This issue was disscused some time ago and it was shown that the ottomat could be brought down by a umkhonto. So why you beating a dead horse?

Pana reports that Pakistani Air Force personnel are present in Nigeria working to maintain Nigerian aircraft. Two Pakistani pilots are providing technical assistance for the Air Force's Chinese-built F-7NI and FT-7NI jets. Pakistan also operates the type and has trained Nigerian pilots.

The Pakistanis were brought in following several F-7 crashes and the loss of maintenance schedules, which resulted in the grounding of the fleet in October 2012. After assistance from the Pakistan Air Force, the jets were cleared to fly again, Pana reports.

Pakistan's air force drills nigerian air force F-7 pilots in world class live combat skills

Pakistani air force has fulfilled its promise to transfer (without hiding any knowledge and experience) all its air to air and air to ground jet fighter combat skills it gained from its air dogfight and air raid wars with India, to the pilots of the nigerian air force, thus making nigeria to possess world class nation to nation air combat skills.

The Pakistan Air Force is assisting the Nigerian Air Force with maintenance and training for its F-7 fighter jets and in building the Nigerian Air Force’s capacity.

Last week the Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, paid an official five-day visit to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral defence relations.

Air Chief Marshal Butt said he would help the Nigerian Air Force reach its full potential and promised that “the Pakistani Air Force and the Defence Industries of Pakistan will not hold anything back from the Nigerian people and the Nigerian Air Force. Pana reports that Pakistani Air Force personnel are present in Nigeria working to maintain Nigerian aircraft. Two Pakistani pilots are providing technical assistance for the Air Force’s Chinese-built F-7NI and FT-7NI jets. Pakistan also operates the type and has trained Nigerian pilots.

The Pakistanis were brought in following several F-7 crashes and the loss of maintenance schedules, which resulted in the grounding of the fleet in October 2012. After assistance from the Pakistan Air Force, the jets were cleared to fly again, Pana reports.

agaugust: Proves nothing you claimed.

Proves me right.

Proves you wrong.

show us , i said you should show us proof/source where south africa test fired any single one of its 17 Exocet missiles from a valour frigate.

also show us where DENEL test fired its over-rated Umkhonto anti-aircraft missile to stop your south african navy Exocet anti-ship missile to prove the false claim that it can work against sea skimming water hugging missiles. show us proof.

maybe your 33% soweto brain never tells you that testing a missile against a sky flying drone in the air is NOT the same as testing it against a sea water surface hugging anti-ship missile.

your little brain too does not tell you and @saengine that those umkhonto missile tests were done by DENEL as a company marketing its product, NOT south african navy test firing the umkhonto it has purchased and fire from a valour frigate.

it was DENEL that traveled to finland to test umkhonto missile against a drone for marketing purposes, NOT south african navy sailing warship to finland to test fire umkhonto missile.....you really to be spanked until your bum is sore grin

is there no better thinking brain in south africa than the ones we see here on nairaland ?

.
I posted a pic of a excet being fired from a valour.

Since when do counties test SAMs are live missiels that don't carry any sensores to aid in the traking.

The umkhonto recies course correcstion from the frigat so can be gided in close to a sea skimming target. Then the 23kg warhead detonats. That force alone will be enough to knock out a missiel or force a sea skimmer in to the oceane.

agaugust: i mean BVR AAM...beyond visual range air to air missiles.

PL-9C missile is as powerful as IRIS-T missile. PL-9C is the missile on JF-17 Thunder and the JF-17 is equal to a Gripen.

Nigerian air force pilots in real life war drills have tested our F-7 jets in dogfight combat air to air against Pakistan's air force and mighty China's air force a world super power, and we know how use all our jets and missiles perfectly.

nigerian military is just not in the same noise making newspaper self-advertisement and internet publicity marketing that south african military has decided to busy itself with for many years.

south africa has turned respected military things to become like ordinary police affairs.

Nigerian F-7 jet pilots after air to air combat drills in the air engaging the air force of Pakistan
Ok. Because the 2 terms controdict each other.

No. It can match the range but the seeker and manvrobliety are not on the same level.

Show proof nigerian J7s have flown against these 2 nastion.

agaugust: show me proof that south african navy has test fired even only one of its 17 Exocet missiles since about 7 years ago your navy purchased the missiles.

try show me how DENEL tested its Umkhonto missiles as defense against one south african Exocet missile. show us the proof. we are waiting grin

the photo below is nigerian navy test firing one of our missiles. date of test is not disclosed by nigerian navy. photo is from nigerian navy official website.

click the weblink below, put your mouse/cursor on the "operations and support" menu but no clicks, and this photo below will appear.

proves we test fire missiles without making public noise about it. missiles are expensive to waste.

one single otomat missile of NNS Aradu costs half a million dollars.

one single PL-9C missile of F-7 jet costs $1 million !!!!!

a missile and a bullet are not the same price in the market. use your head before you write comments.
