Also, the major banks have been totally useless. They want customers to come to the bank for the linkage. They never thought about the population and the rushing and the transport fare for many customers to their branches.
Kudos to Opay and Palmpay who allowed customers to do the linking through their apps.

I have not received any notification from Zenith and first bank. It was only palmpay and Opay that kept notifying me since January and linked my NIN through their app.

Recently my family and I moved to Abuja and getting accommodation has been a serious issue. Not that there is no accommodation, however, the cost is something else. We tried Orozo, a good one-bedroom flat goes for 400k, total package over 500k, which is very high for a one bedroom flat in such location. We tried one-man-village after Maraba going to Masaka, same story. My budget was even 250 to 300k.

Omo, I am frustrated already.

Funny enough, the houses that can go for 300k won't have running water, ancient houses that you will have to spend money on to renovate.

And you see those Abuja agents, most of them will have a special place in hell. They have shown me shege.

Up until now, we have not been able to secure an apartment.

If you have skills, leaving a 400k job in Nigeria to get even a minimum wage job that will give you legal residence in 1st world nation is always a wise decision and far better than earning even 1.5m in today's Naija economy. I earned more than 700k working in a multinational before I left Nigeria in 2019. It was the best decision I made for myself and my family. Please do the same if you have the opportunity. Your fiancee is a visionary and wise. Try and listen to her.

The truth is what works for you may not work for others. 2019 that you left Nigeria is not the same as 2024. Countries are changing their immigration policy.

That was how somebody resigned from his 2million naira Nigeria pay Job and left to Canada and he still regrets it till today.
