danberg: Yeah, 2 years multiple entry. Owner started using it 2018 and also stayed 6 months last year (left in Nov.) The visa will expire June this year. Can the person still use it before it does? Sorry o, are you asking if somebody can use an UNEXPIRED visa before it expires? |

Bhorbymills1990: A friend of mine applied for visa but got rejected due to the following reasons 1. There are reasonable doubts about your intention to leave the territory of the Member States before the expiry of the visa.
2. The purpose and circumstances of the intended stay have been insufficiently demonstrated
Should he Appeal or How would he solve this issue on his next application?? If your friend is working, has been doing so for at least 9 months, earning 100k monthly, got a car/a house, has travelled to other places, working for a reputable firm, has payslips to show his income and tax deductions, is married/has a child, or is in school, he can appeal. Otherwise, don’t even bother applying. |

Lexusgs430: If you want to study Nursing, go ahead and study, before it seems too late......
Don't expect mega salary 1/2 years post qualification, but after that point..... You would be very thankful you did.......
NB : Best to wait for foreign student classification to change though..... Unless you're minting £££££££..... This is true. I understand Lagosismyhome’s point of you don’t need to study, because you don’t have to. And yes, it truly is a Nigerian mentality to study. But not studying limits you. You may be an excellent dev but you won’t be allowed into management in a big company. You will earn, but not earn as much as you should. I would say to the person should start working first, get money, then if they want more money, they can go back to school. |

LagosismyHome: It probably wont be a problem. My MIL stays 5months and 20 days most times and my mum has done 6 months back to back ,
However I met someone whose mum was denied the next time that she stayed 5 months . So you never can predict when the next Visa officer will say Exactly, I know someone that they asked for 1 week and the mum stayed 3 months; she got her visa at the next application. But I know someone that stayed the appropriate times every time she applied for her visa, and she got denied the last time she applied. I think they just do mpi-sakatin-mpi-out |

LagosismyHome: Depends... but why did you put one month. Sometimes we over fear and over think this thing. If they have grandchildren and retired then I would have put 2 to 3 months in the application that they are coming to bond with their loved ones
Since you put one month... I would say maybe 6 weeks or max 2 months if its first time then next time I cam do almost 6 months. ... I have no evidence to support what I am saying. It just how I would have approached it What you said makes sense but it doesn’t matter. Anything can make her folks stay longer. They just should stay tooo long |

Williamshannah: Hello all, Good day pls I need your advice. Is Masters in international supply chain and logistics management a good option ( job prospect after study) studied computer science and statistics and over 8 years experience in FMCG company as sales Executive. The best way to find the course you want to do for masters is to look for your dream job and see what they are requesting for. Supply chain is great but only more useful in America. It’s not as mature in Nigeria or UK yet (only the huge companies understand the power of supply chain and it’s mostly done as a certification, not a degree). At the end of the day, you will just end up becoming a project manager if you want to practice in naija/UK. |

1. Layover, is anyone gonna lodge the flyer in a hotel or you wait in the lounge or something?
2. Inflight entertainment, which one gives better food and entertainments like drinks, cable sockets, screen for movies?
3. Comfortability, which one has better leg space as am pretty tall?
4. Baggage allowance, you know what i mean ba?
5. Other necessary reviews or comment not listed here.
please... thank you Are you really comparing an African airline to an oil money airline? Shouldn’t the answer be the one you can afford? Anyway, all the answers can be found on their website. The details are there when you are about to book. |

LagosismyHome: I am not a Visa officer but personally I think it's fine, there no correlation between your length of Visa and your mother visiting Visa... UK is a main tourist hub so with or without a child she might continue to visit even if her child doesn't live here
Having a child here was not mandatory for her Visa to be issued, it's more like a nice to have I believe so too, but I just reiterated what I heard. Whether they were bullying her or stating fact, I don’t know. Regardless, 6 months to 2 years is very ok. I’m gonna do the same with my folks. |

Teepp10: Hi good people here. I have less than 2 years on my visa (tier 2), planning to renew though. Can I apply for 2 years visitor visa for my mum? She applied for the 6 months last year and was granted. Is it advisable to go for the 2 years or just do 6 months? Yes. It’s perfectly logical. She will most likely get it if she didn’t use up her entire 6 months with no break. I remember one time at the airport, the border people complained that an old woman (clearly Nigerian), spent her entire 6 months here, went back for like a month and then returned with another visa. The border agent was acting like he wanted to send her back, wondering how she got the visa. I thought the border people were being cruel but I understood where they were coming (apparently, they weren’t convinced that she was visiting since she stayed the full 6 months). Maybe it’s just over-do that was worrying them sha. |

Hunnybee: That much was easy to pick, i def read that from the post. My question was how he deemed them unqualified? *she not he. You clearly lack observation skills, like “she” did. The news said it was reducing the training years from 6 to 3, so I assumed it meant the training years meant for university students. Hence the panic of being unqualified. You probably a paramedic or nurse and thought I was calling you unqualified- but don’t be too offended, I hadn’t read the full news. Kinji Ko? |

Metropolitan police to deploy live facial recognition in London Rollout comes despite widespread calls to pause use of controversial technology I think banning it because they believe it is not accurate is a silly reason. If they arrest the wrong person, shey they will free the person when they investigate and find out that they arrested the wrong person? They can’t even arrest without the person being a suspect first. If however they want to ban it because of the invasion of privacy, yes that one makes sense but if the rollout can stop people like hitler before a huge massacre or if it can stop pedophiles, please I support it. |

missnigeria: Ehen, now you are talking. Thank you so much. I like your response now. Your previous answer was somehow. I want to go for Masters in business and financial management that's why I asked if I could get a job as a business and financial Manager. Even here in Nigeria I'm not a Manager yet. I wanted to get the right information because I know some people might the experience here. A friend actually told me after the two years Masters,,I can just use the post study work period to start looking for job if I come out with a good grade. Thank you once again for the clarification and advise Good grades don’t matter here. The good grades I’m asking you to get is to thank the person that’s paying for your masters. Don’t use your two years to look for work. Work during your two years. I want you to set your mind to gaining experience no matter how small, so you can excel. Who know, you may end up being a head hunter not even a bank manager. Setting your mind to big (especially for a course that the brits can do and you won’t get special treatment for) may break your heart if you don’t get there (please I’m not saying don’t aim for the stars o, aim but be comfortable with failing too because failure is the best teacher). Somehow previous answer = somehow previous question |

Bankalert: Just came back from the UK, London specifically on a 3 day visit, through my Office(Goverment office). My experiences so far have been a bit overwhelming. But to an extent, I wouldn't consider moving permanently to the UK. Within the three days I stayed and toured London, I learnt quite enough to know to remain in Nigeria if UK is the only option I have. I hope to go there for studies though this year and come back....
But my plan is to move to another Country in Europe after my studies in UK. Is this feasible? I mean using a UK certificate to work in let's say Germany, France or Finland for example. UK.. as in United Kingdom or United Kano? I’m sorry sir, let me understand your question. You are asking if a certificate from United Kingdom (that not only serves as proof of English, but also comes from a country with some of its universities in top 10 of the world) can be used to work in any country in the world? I feel insulted on the Queens behalf |

Matrix07: Hi, I need your help guys. Its seriously affecting me. I have been in the UK for about 6 months and not gotten jobs I initially applied for software testing jobs as i have experience in it but no interviews. Started applying for Customer service jobs but not successful after interviews I really dont know whats happening
I need help on how to get a job Does anyone knows jobs i can apply for and start with for now Any help is appreciated
I am beginning to feel like i shouldnt have left Nigeria. Please help me abeg Testing? White or Black? Do you know all the software they ask you about? If you know the money in testing you won’t quit. One of my close friends is a whiz tester but I think he collects money to train people. I will ask if he wants a prodigy. Do you stay in London? If you want my free advice, I would say look for one job around your area. Pick everything the job requires, sit down and study each one. When you are confident that you’ve learned enough, apply for a junior role. After 6 months to 1 year, if you’re an ambitious person, you go hammer! In the meantime, I’ll tell you why you are not getting your customer service job? Cos you’re using your tester CV to apply. Dumb your CV down. Put experience of Working in customer service for at least 1 year. Then put that you worked as a marketer for another 1 year. Remove your masters (if you have) and leave only the BSc. Then write how you love to upsell to people the products that will benefit them, and how you got commendations from customers for great service. Let me know when you get a customer service job. |
